Caristico beats Cavernario, Canelo/Cholo, WWE visits Coacalco, Alberto coming to MTY

The bigger news is on the AAA TV taping, but I’ll hit that later.

CMLL (TUE) 07/11/2017 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Martes de Glamour]
1) Magnum & Vaquero Jr. b Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno
2) Puma, Tiger, Virus b Esfinge, Fuego, Stigma
3) Johnny Idol, Stuka Jr., Titán b Felino, Sam Adonis, Vangellys
Titan pinned Vangellys days before his hair match.
4) Diamante Azul, Marco Corleone, Volador Jr. b Euforia, Mephisto, Último Guerrero
5) Cavernario b Carístico
Mistica for the win.

Main event looked good in the pictures. None of it aired on TV. CMLL has this show sitting in a vault, where it’ll sit unwatched again forever.

Lucha Memes (SAT) 07/15/2017 Coliseo Coacalco, Coacalco, Estado de México [Fuego en el Ring, +LuchaTV]
1) Fulgor I, Fulgor II, Látigo b Astrolux, Baby Star Jr., Black Metal
Latigo replaced Septimo Rayo
2) Arez b Demonio Infernal
3) El Bandido b Tarantula (Laguna)
4) Belial, Impulso, Keira b Alas de Acero, Aramis, Iron Kid
5) Extreme Tiger b Virus
6) Trauma I & Trauma II b Freelance & Mike Segura

The thing that got the most attention was not the matches – the fourth match and the fifth match sound like they were the best – but the presence of WWE’s William Regal and Sarah Stock. Coacalo is a small outdoor venue, so it’s not like one of the biggest stars in the history of Mexican women’s wrestling could show up and not be noticed. WWE’s famously brought in Sombra, Mascara Dorada and Ronnie Mendoza off their Japanese performance, so that they’re even looking in Mexico is news. This might have just been a visit to reenforce connections than to look at someone in particular (although they got to see this show a lot sooner than we will.) I’m told they were there for the first three matches before leaving to make the CMLL show.

CMLL (SAT) 07/15/2017 Arena Coliseo [CMLL]
1) Grako & Templario b Fiero & Sangre Imperial
2) Eléctrico, Shockercito, Último Dragóncito b Mercurio, Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Violencia
Ultimo Dragoncito replaced Stukita. Tecnicos took 1/3.
3) Blue Panther Jr., Drone, The Panther b Disturbio, Forastero, Tiger
4) Soberano Jr. b Misterioso Jr. [lightning]
Soberano surprised Misterioso with a cradle and took his mask in a turnabout.
5) Cuatrero, Máscara Año 2000, Sansón b Black Terry, Hechicero, Negro Navarro Sansón, Cuatrero y Máscara Año 2000 vs Black Terry, Negro Navarro y Hechicero | CMLL | 15-07-17 (posted by TVLuchaMundial)
Dinamtias took 2/3. Terry & Navarro cheated to take fall 2, Sanson used a foul to beat Navarro in the third. NGD asked for a title shot next week.
6) Marco Corleone, Niebla Roja, Stuka Jr. b Rey Bucanero, Shocker, Terrible
tecnico took falls 1/3

Soberano/Misterioso hasn’t been totally forgotten.

LyP Klandestino (SUN) 07/16/2017 Arena Lopez Mateos [+LuchaTV]
1) Pegazus, Súper Astro Jr., Yakuza b Alas de Acero, Aramis, Iron Kid
Alas de Acero was stretchered out after a shooting star press went wrong
2) Lokillo, Sádico, Toxin b Arez, Belial, Impulso
3) Emperador Azteca & Eterno b Imposible & Súper Mega
Eterno announced the Insoportables, which haven’t existed in any real form for a while, are done.
4) Daga & Zorro b Cien Caras Jr. & Rey Escorpión
Daga asked for a singles match with Escorpion on the next show.
5) Marty Scurll b The King
Scurll submitted Fenix
6) Penta 0M DQ La Máscara [super libre]
La Mascara was DQed in a super libre match for unmasking Penta

DQs in super libre matches remain dumb. Penta did challenges for an extreme match but I’m not sure what the difference is. Scurll beating Fenix is odd for a guy who’s probably not coming back. Daga/Escorpion sounds good.

CMLL (SUN) 07/16/2017 Arena México [CMLL]
1) Flyer & Robin b Apocalipsis & Camorra
2) Fuego, Oro Jr., Pegasso b Disturbio, Sagrado, Virus
tecnicos took 1/3
3) Cholo, Espanto Jr., Inquisidor b Artillero, Canelo Casas, Espíritu Negro
Team Cholo took falls 2/3, Cholo using the ropes again to win. Canelo wanted a rematch
4) Ángel de Oro, Diamante Azul, Titán b Cuatrero, Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero
Cuatrero replaced Shocker. Tecnicos took 2/3.
5) Carístico, Valiente, Volador Jr. b Euforia, Felino, Mephisto
Mephisto replaced Mr. Niebla.

Can’t believe no one’s figured out Canelo Casas vs Cholo is the Anniversario main event yet.

Lucha Memes/MDA in Arena Coliseo Guadalajara on 08/06:
1) Dr. Cerebro vs Virus in a match where no one is allowed to use the ropes
2) El Satanico & Cavernario vs Hechicero & Caifan – new

Caifan had previously said he was doing working with Lucha Memes. Done never means done.

An interview with lucha libre fanatic Chabelo.

CMLL (FRI) 07/21/2017 Arena México
1) Blue Panther Jr. & The Panther vs Puma & Tiger
2) Blue Panther vs Sam Adonis [lightning]
3) Carístico, Diamante Azul, Marco Corleone vs Kráneo, Pierroth, Rush [Relevos Increíbles]
4) Marcela vs DalysEstrellitaAmapolaSiluetaZeuxisPrincesa SugehitLa VaqueritaLa ComandanteSanelyMetálicaSkadiLa SeductoraLady Maravilla [Copa Nataliz Vazquez]
5) Dragón Lee, Niebla Roja, Volador Jr. vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Último Guerrero

Main event is a Universal rematch. The ciberentico gets all the way to the semifinal, with the debuting Lucha Memes luchadora turning out to be Lady Maravilla after all. Her being on the show might just be a numbers thing – Reina Isis & La Jarcohita are both going to be in Japan, but they could’ve also just used Tiffany and had unbalanced sides if that was it. Keira was the guess for that spot – I’m loud wrong a too much of late – but Maravilla is fine alternative, the person I would’ve hoped for CMLL to bring in next after Keira.

Blue Panther & Sam Adonis get their match, albeit a lightning one. Adonis/Panther, Sugehit/Zeuxis and Niebla Roja/Guerreros are all on the card – might we get some sort of date to any of this matches happening? CMLL’s in range of having another press conference.

CMLL (SAT) 07/22/2017 Arena Coliseo
1) Sangre Imperial & Sensei vs El Coyote & Templario
2) Flyer, Fuego, Pegasso vs Apocalipsis, Canelo Casas, Grako
3) Johnny Idol, Soberano Jr., Titán vs Ephesto, Luciferno, Mephisto
4) Black Terry & Negro Navarro vs Cuatrero & Sansón [Arena Coliseo TAG]
4th defense
5) Carístico, Marco Corleone, Valiente vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Vangellys

I don’t know this is the title change but it could be that way. It’s also an odd card, with Fuego & Pegasso in a match with Apocalipsis & Grako.

CMLL (SUN) 07/23/2017 Arena México
1) Eléctrico & Stukita vs Mercurio & Pequeño Universo 2000
2) Astral, Oro Jr., Stigma vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Hijo del Signo, Nitro
3) Artillero, Canelo Casas, Espíritu Negro vs Cholo, Espanto Jr., Inquisidor
4) Dragón Lee, Soberano Jr., Stuka Jr. vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Hechicero, Pólvora
5) Diamante Azul, Valiente, Volador Jr. vs Cavernario, Felino, Negro Casas

Rematch in the tercera. Nitro, who appears to be in France, is still being booked on CMLL cards because they don’t really pay attention.

CMLL (SUN) 07/23/2017 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Avispón Negro Jr. vs Quca
2) El Yaqui & Johnny Dinamo vs Carlo Roggi & Mr. Apolo
3) El Alteño & El Cirujano vs Gran Kenut & León Blanco
4) El Rielero & Vaquero Jr. vs Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno
5) El Divino, Explosivo, Mágico, Omar Brunetti, Star Black vs Guerrero de la Muerte, Joker, Maléfico, Nautilius, Ráfaga

ciberenticos here set up a title match or a cage match

2) Furor & Galactar vs Bengalí & Vaquero Romo
3) Antifaz & Caifan vs Máximo & Rey Escorpión (Indie)
4) Dos Caras Sr. & Hijo De Dos Caras vs Hijo de LA Park & Súper Parka
5) Cibernético vs LA ParkLa MáscaraAlberto el Patrón

This is a show a little bit of note. I’m not sure, but this might be Alberto’s first wrestling appearance since his latest bit of insanity. He’ll be catered towards here – there’s no thought he’d be canceled from this show like he has from others.
