The Puebla show tonight as a lot of mid sequence feuds. The difference than usual is that volume: usually it’s lucky if CMLL has one and it’s easy to tell what match they’re setting up. They’ve got three on this show, and I’m not sure which (if any) are headed to the blowoff match next week.

Shocker & Pierrothito meet in a lightning match, which might set up a Shockercito minis title defense. Los Hijo del Infernales face Angel de Oro, Stigma and Stuka in a rematch from last week’s draw and could set up a trios title match. Caristico, Diamatne Azul, Euforia face Pierroth, Rush and Volador in the main event is also supposed to be a rematch, but Rush didn’t show up last week. The Volador/Caristico feud they did could be a match they were building up, or it could’ve been just something to do with no Rush.

Dragon Lee, Mistico and Titan face the Peste Negra in the semimain which might be the best match. Sugehit & Zeuxis meet once again in the women’s trios with Vaquerita, Sanely, Seductora and Tiffany scheduled. (CMLL previously said Tiffany missed the Copa Natalia Vazquez due to injury, Tiffany was posting photos from back home in Monterrey on Twitter, I have no idea.) Arkalis & Paris open it up against Guerrero Especial & Perverso. The show airs on CMLL’s YouTube channel at 9pm.

Gallo & Principe are the new Jalisco (indie) tag team champions, defeating Rayman & Makabre in Arena Jalisco. Gallo picked up half of tag team titles just after he was stripped of the CMLL/Occidente version of those same titles, which is probably not a total coincidence. It was also a backdrop to Makabre & Rayman, who’d been leading a rudo faction there for the last year or so, breaking up and Rayman going back tecnico.

In a long interview with 24 Horas (pointed out by R de Rudo), Shocker says he’s been trying stand up comedy as a post wrestling career. He’s not retiring from wrestling (thought he’s current MIA again.) Shocker got the name from the movie of the same name, and tells the story of his military service: he enlisted, says he got bored, and decided to go live with his parents in Guadalajara in 1990 without actually leaving the military. About six years later, when he had a layover in Los Angeles flying back from Japan, the military grabbed him. He thought he’d be in jail about nine months but it reads like they let him go after less than one. He says it cost him a WWE opportunity, which probably was Super Astros.

Monito, Blue Panther Jr. & Espanto Jr. visited a Best Buy.

CMLL (SAT) 07/29/2017 Arena Coliseo
1) Retro & Sonic vs Akuma & Templario

3) Blue Panther Jr., Fuego, The Panther vs Hijo del Signo, Nitro, Virus
4) Rey Cometa vs Sagrado [lightning]
5) Guerrero Maya Jr., Johnny Idol, Soberano Jr. vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Hechicero, Pólvora
6) Carístico, Marco Corleone, Valiente vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Vangellys

Angelito’s booked so I assume he’s alive.

CMLL (SUN) 07/30/2017 Arena México
1) Magia Blanca, Robin, Sonic vs Artillero, Espanto Jr., Espíritu Negro
2) Astral, Oro Jr., Pegasso vs Cancerbero, Raziel, Sangre Azteca
3) Marcela, Silueta, Skadi vs Amapola, La Comandante, Metálica

5) Ángel de Oro, Dragón Lee, Stuka Jr. vs Ephesto, Felino, Ripper
6) Diamante Azul, Marco Corleone, Valiente vs Kráneo, Negro Casas, Último Guerrero

It’s really happening. It takes some people months, years to get to the hair match, but CMLL was making sure this one had to happen. And it surely had to happen.

CMLL (SUN) 07/30/2017 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Amperage vs Paymon

The Crash (SAT) 08/05/2017 Auditorio de Tijuana, Tijuana, Baja California
1) ? vs ??
2) Jonathan & Keyra vs Chik Tormenta & Último Maldito

5) Daga, Jack Evans, Oraculo vs Bestia 666, Black Danger, Garza Jr.
6) Penta Zero M vs La Máscara [super libre]

I’m a few days late on this one. The Crash in Tijuana shows continue every third week, though this one is noticble with less foreign names than usual; just Oraculo and Willie Mack really. Oraculo & Black Danger get moved up to the semimain to continue their feud. Konnan’s suggested another cage match might be coming up, and everyone in the top two matches would fit.

MDA Lucha Memes (SUN) 08/06/2017 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Keira vs La MagnificaSúper Estrella
2) Arez, Belial, Impulso vs Alas de Acero, Esfinge, Iron Kid (Estado de México) and Aero Boy, Demasiado, Rey Apocalipsis
3) Black Terry & Negro Navarro vs Hijo de LA Park & Magnum
4) Caifan & Hechicero (CMLL) vs Cavernario & Satánico
5) Cuatrero & Sansón vs Laredo Kid & Rey Cometa
6) Dr. Cerebro vs Virus
neither man is allowed to use the ropes
7) LA Park vs Rush

Full show for the combo show card here. Tickets are really cheap considering the lineup. MDA/Memes shows are firmly in the “I dunno” territory of us ever seeing it, but the fifth match is really interesting if the tecnicos are into it. Rey Apocalipsis must’ve impressed the most of the recent Puebla guys (or he was the one available?) Keira couldn’t go to CMLL because every high end indie needs her for their women’s match. Or that’s why she doesn’t need to go.
