Heat 12/05

Here and There. Psuedo-rific. Thanks to Justin for giving me a chance to be in front of a larger audience, which I’ll undoubtly fail to capture.

I’ve gotten no mail complaining about skipping Viscera matches. I’ve gotten no mail happy about skipping Viscera matches. You could say I get no mail.

Did get to the lucha show last night. Was the only non-latino who somehow involved with the show or involved with someone who was involved with the show. I counted around 70 people during one of the (way too many and way too often for a four match show) downtime periods, maybe half kids and maybe 20 of those ringside.

jtron’s assesment of the show to me (in e-mail) was right on. I did get a nice (for $5) Black Warrior mask out of it. There was a awesome Park mask but I just couldn’t afford $20 at the time for a mask I really don’t know what I’d do with. Not that I know what I’m going to do with the Black Warrior mask.

jtron said at the Cicero show they announced Ultimo Guerrero, Rey Bucanero, Negro Casas and Felino would be in on a show next year. I didn’t hear that at the Aurora show, but I could’ve easily missed it; result of brain shutting off after many hours of unsuccesfully making out a language I know little off and my usual problems understanding things over PAs. I really wanted to hear them say that, though.

Except maybe TOPE SOMEONE AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. Or not.

Did take photos. Will try to write at least something to explain them when they come back – Wednesday? It was a lighted gym as opposed to the converted theatre last time out.

5 indy shows in one year. I’m insane.

Really need to write some new stuff if only to knock some of the October listings off that sidebar. Tonight’s may be a good night for updating things.
