Jamie Noble (Hanover, WG, 200 pounds, w/Nidia) vs Brian Danielson (Albely, WA, 185 pounds, already in the ring) - Too bad Regal's not on this show, so he could get that win back. Your announcers are Cat and Josh, who aren't very good. Cat puts all of his money on the Big Show, so he's broke next week. Brian - it'll be a minute in when I slip and say "Dragon", so I should warn now - is wearing his "Tribute to Mr. Wrestling #2" outfit. Well that's my best guess anyway for why he's wearing all white - there's a tiny US flag on his tights. Circle. Lockup - no. Okay here we go. Brian with a waistlock, Jamie turns into an armbar takedown, legscissors reversal, Brian bridges up but it's blocked. Brian turns it, tries to headstand, then turn it agian and ties the leg. Grabbing the chin, so this is sorta STF. HEY: "the American Dragon, trained by Shawn Michaels" - cool, I can call him that now. If I could just call the other guy Jamie-San I'd have no problems at all. Same home town as Kurt Cobain, now I know how to check the spelling. Dragon with a cover for zero. Lockup, Noble with an armbar. Twist. Dragon rolls to a reversal, trying to turn into a wristlock (I guess - not seen something like that) but Noble takes him back down, cranking the wristlock. Crowd chanting "Tighty Whiteys" Dragon kips up, reverses the armbar, release Northern Suplex (close enough), and holding ther armbar on the mat. Up into a headlock, and up to their feet. Dragon turns into a hammerlock, Noble reverses, Noble lets go to get a single leg, double wristlock cover for one, Dragon gets his shoulder up but Noble tries to power it back down one Dragon gets the other one up. Still in the double wristlock, Dragon kips up but Noble kicks him in the midsection twice. Double wristlock Northern Lights suplex one two No. The double wristlock is still on - Dragon with a headbutt, headbutt, headbutt, kick, kick, double wristlock takeover, soccer kick to the back. One two NO. Chop. Whip, no it's blocked so Dragon kicks him hard in the leg. Kick to the arm looks weird with a camera switch - can't till if it really missed and they were trying (badly) to hide it, or if the camera flip just made it look worse. Kick to the chest is blocked, Jamie with forearm, whip and trip into the middle rope. Jamie up but grabbing the kicked leg. Forearm to the back, forearm to the back, forearm to the head. Exploder suplex one two NO. Hanging Dragon on the middle rope, running sit. Jamie distracts so Nidia can get in a free shot. Slam. Legdrop. One two NO. Straight jacket chinlock. "C'mon BOY" Dragon back to his feet, turning and taking a knee. Kick. Whip, Dragon slides under and from the mat pulls off a bodyscissors into the sunset flip (maybe that's a reverse bodyscissors cradle?) one two NO. Jamie ends up rolling through, somersault pin, one two Dragon gets a shoulder up one two other shoulder up BRIDGE, turning, backslide? NO, Jamie gets free, clotheslines misses, Brian off the ropes and into a knee. One two NO. Chinlock on the mat. Talking about Diamondback beating Funaki last week on Velocity is really funny during this match. Cat swears it'll never happen again because he's a horrible announcer. Dragon back to his feet, armdrag out. Jamie misses a clothesline, Dragon big European Uppercut (knocks off Jamie's elbow pad!), another, and a third! Whip, reversed, reversed, Brian hits a clothesline. Headbutt. Corner whip, running corner forearm. (Fake) crowd noise is loud on the last few moves. Off the ropes, into a nice powerslam one two no. Noble with a corner whip, Dragon walks up the corner and flips out, full nelson (going for a Dragon Suplex?) but Jamie escapes with back elbows. Dragon battling back with forearms to the back - Josh: "Oh, Roaring Elbow!" Yep. Full nelson again - no, switching to a normal waistlock, low angle German Suplex one two NO! Waiting for Jamie to get up - high kick is ducked, Jamie with a waistlock, Dragon goes for a standing switch but Noble turns the other way and catches him with a knee. Tigerbomb, no Dragon backdrops out of it! Dragon setting up again - roaring elbow is ducked, Jamie grabs him, fast spinning neckbreaker. Josh: "Cat! What's that!" I looked like a fast swinging neckbreaker to me, Josh! One two three. (6:53) Jamie sure has a lot of finishers. This was a lot more even than normal - and a bit longer. [Everyone else has been 'What was that' so maybe I missed some thing subtle there. I'll pay more attention if he ever does it again.]

Tajiri tells us his thoughts about his plan in the Royal Rumble. In Japanese. It seems to involve kicking and punching and spitting a lot of mist. Captioning: "[Babbling Inaudibility]"

Al Wilson, In Memory, 1941-2003. As a tribute to him, I will fast forward now, for it is truly the way I will always remember him. (7:00)

Tough Enough (2:41)

Chuck Palumbo (280 pounds) vs Xavier (Queens, NY, 200 pounds) - Lockup, Xavier pushed down. Josh wimps out of making a Rumble pick. Chuck with a headlock, spin into a hammerlock, shove to the back. Slap to the face! That's not very honorable of Chuck. Xavier turns to complain and gets a clothesline. Right. Kick. Right. Whip, Chuck charges in, Xavier kips up, Chuck catches him on his shoulder, Xavier slips behind, right, right, right, right, pushed down. Chuck charges out into a drop toe hold. Armbar. kick to the ribs, kick to the leg, many knees to the head. Off the rope, dropkick to the knee. Xavier with an elbow drop to the inside of the leg. Sitdown on the leg. Sitdown again. Sitdown a third time - nah, boot to the floor. Chuck out to the floor - right. Back in. Powerbomb? Chuck runs - and throws him into the corner on the powerbomb! That looked very unsafe - Xavier's head, neck and back were more smashed into the side of the turnbuckle, it wasn't a direct drop on the corner like (Eric Watts! among others.) Boot to the head. Pose, then cover one two no. Surfboard. Xavier with knees, off the ropes, into the overhead belly to belly suplex. Another powerbomb? Xavier rolls down to a sunset flip, but Chuck pulls him back up in a double choke, throwing him up in the air and Xavier coming down with a 'rana. Chuck's clothesline misses, Xavier with a chop, chop, chop, corner whip, reversed, Chuck charges into a boot. Xavier going up - cross body one two NO. Xavier with the thumb across the throat, reverse Stunner! Now the double thumb across the throat, he must really means it. Taking his time going up - 450, Chuck moves but Xavier rolls though. Xavier charges Chuck and still hits forearms despite being the guy who just missed his move. Chuck is pulled out of the corner by Jimmy Korderas - and Chuck uses the opening to hit the Jungle Kick. One two three. (4:33) GIVE THAT MAN A BELT. Hey, that's two weeks in a row refs have helped Chuck, odd.

Edge on the Rumble: "You know, a lot of people will say that I've built up an impressive resume here in the WWE. I'm a 9 time Tag Team Champion. 4 Time IC Champion. The 2001 King of The Ring. And I retired the US championship. I even got rid of that chumpstain partner Christian. I'm also the guy who shaved Kurt Angle bald. But this Sunday, I'm gonna add one more thing to that list - I'm gonna win the 2003 Royal Rumble."

UT Returns (:34)

Please kill the Cat. PLEASE. Josh tried so hard not to roll his eyes when Cat just said another dumb thing.

Angle/Benoit (4:39) Here be that graphic!

Chavo and Eddie discuss: "Esse, the Royal Rumble is coming up! [Yes!] Know what that means? A Guerrero may  win the Royal Rumble!" "No no esse, a Guerrero IS going to win the Royal Rumble! We have to be positive, esse, positive!" "Eddie, if we're both in there, that could mean we may be the only ones left. I may have to throw you out, Esse!" "Do you realize that if Grandma would of heard you say that, she would be very upset at you-" [arguing] "Grandma didn't mind when I was beating you in futbol, did she?" "Well she didn't mind when you I was beating you at basketball, holmes!" "You cheated!" "No, esse, you're the cheater!" "You cheated! You're the cheater!" "Esse?" "What?" "Esse, as long one of the Guerreros win the Royal Rumble, who cares?" "Alright!"

Stacker 2 almost entire tag match of Thursday.

Here's a Rumble rundown - Angle/Benoit for the WWE Title. Triple H/Steiner for the World Title. Dawn/Torrie. Cat: "I wonder what Al will be thinking about, watching that match." Dudleyz/Regal/Storm for the World Tags. The Royal Rumble - Shelton and Charlie jump ahead of a lot of people quickly. Josh talked about it being an hour match before and it's a minute interval here so he's expecting a long final stage. Undertaker returns. Brock/Big Show for the Rumble shot.

Here's a package to explain that one. (2:05)

War of the Monsters Tag Team Split of Last Thursday

Shannon Moore (Raleigh, NC, 195 pounds) vs the Jet (East Rutherford, NJ, 181 pounds) - Hey, another jobber with a second entrance. Funny, this masked dude (think Mil Mascaras mask wise and you'll be in the neighborhood) weighs exactly the same as the one from last week.  Josh: "Cat, I know you know how the Royal Rumble works" - what a fabulous liar. Circle. Lockup. Shannon with a waistlock, Jet with an armbar, Shannon kips up, reverses the armbar, Shannon with a wristlock, standing switch, Shannon with an armdrag and another. "You don't have a chance with me! VERSION ONE! I'm a Mattiude Follower!" Circle. Jet charges into a kick. Right. Whip, backdrop but Jet lands on his feet, armdrag, armdrag, signaling the forearm, Shannon sees him coming and sidesteps. Shannon goes for an armdrag but Jet sidesteps (sidestepping an armdrag? that's new) and Shannon goes down by himself. I'm pretty sure they even meant to do that. Oklahoma cradle one two NO. "WHO IS THIS GUY? TELL HIM TO TAKE HIS MASK OFF! C'MON! He's not supposed to be able to do that to me! Look at him!" Man, this is the best Shannon Moore match/interview segment EVER. Shannon charges with a kick but Jet blocks it. Forearm, forearm, Corner whip, reversed, Shannon charges, Jet backdrops him, Shannon lands on the apron, Jet charges and Shannon hits a swinging dropkick to the knee. Backdrop. Cat is a Raiders fan. Shannon covers one two NO. The Jets cut the Cat, oh. I wish the WWE would cut the Cat. With a pointy object. Surfboard with chinlock. Cat thinks Shannon's put on weight since WCW. Jet elbowing out. Forearms to the back, off the ropes, running knee to the head. One two no. One two No. "C'mon on!" Choke on the top rope. Slam, lighting legdrop one two NO. "C'mon!" Snap mare hold. Cat talks about the Dawn/Torrie match - "Stepmother, Stephdaughter - who's going to be the referee? The stepdaddy?" Josh is silent. He starts to talk but then he realizes what Cat just said and is dumbfounded and starts tripping over his own words. Jet rights out. Jet off the ropes, knee lift but Jet hits a inside cradle one two no. Shannon with an awkward clothesline. One two no. Hard corner whip. Josh: "What, Cat got your tongue! HAHAHA!" Don't do that. Jet with forearms. Snap mare (maybe), no Shannon blocks and pushes him chest first into to the corner, Shannon with a German Suplex but Jet lands on his feet (oh please don't do that every week with people who don't otherwise do the move) jumping side kick. I want to say the gears are turning in Josh's head but it doesn't seem that way yet. Both slow up - Shannon with forearms. Whip, reversed, high kick to the head. Running enzugiri one two no. Corner whip, reversed, Shannon charges in but Jet slips out. Springboard dropkick one two NO! Jet picks up Shannon, Shannon slips out, Jet misses a short clothesline, and Jet hits a dropkick to the knee. Off the ropes, jumping swinging neckbreaker one two no. "C'mon! C'mon ref!" Powerbomb? No, Jet slips behind, Shannon charges in with a clothesline, Jet ducks and grabs him by the head, and there's that move we saw last week. One two three. (5:38) By gum, that move is the best thing since sliced bread. Josh starts to put it together - he's not sure, though. Replays of the finish.

That's it for this.
