corp open, show open, everything I was supposed to say last week open.

Viscera (Harlem, NY, 487 pounds) vs Eugene (Louisville, KY, 245 pounds) - your announcers are Todd & Coach for this Heat #448. Is Justin Roberts ring announcing? Why? Coach talks about this being one of those weeks where you're tired and you really don't want to be here, and Coach is a smart man. Coach also says this is his favorite time of the year, as it will be once again two months from now. Hey, is Eugene a face again? He sure thinks so. He's never going to get that jacket washed, is he? Marty Ellis is your ref. Eugene's trying to think up a plan - no, he's just starting a Eugene chant. Yea, it's like never turned on Duggan. Lockup, down goes Eugene. Pose. I stare at the progress bar for this video and am sad about how much is left to go. Armbar by Vis, pounding the arm. Coach explains the controversial official decision re: the Masterlock. Eugene rallying up, rolling to a reversal, and quickly being shoved back down. Eugene begs off and is sad. Eugene is doing nothing but sitting in the corner, Viscera corners him, Eugene slips out and crawls out. I don't think putting on Viscera's robe is the way to go. Now he's in and doing Viscera's dances, so he gets booted in the face. Viscera disrobes Eugene, and goes back to pounding him. Headbutt. Choke on the top rope. Viscera doing a lot of talking and not quite the same amount of wrestling. Eugene pulled up by his hair, and tries to fight his way free with punches. He does, but he also runs into the alleged spinning wheel kick one two NO! Why? This is over. Chinlock to choke my soul. Eugene rallying back, but Viscera stops him with a forearm. Turnbuckles smash still doesn't work, and Eugene fires up after the third. YOU. Right left right left, windup punch, windup punch, he's still won' go down, running jumping shoulderblock does it, one two no. Big kickout there. Kick wham - no, shoved off, and bounces back into the spinning sidewalk slam. Hipswivel, off the ropes, VD Drop, one two three. (5:28) Todd: "A big win." Coach: "A huge win."

Royal Rumble: Royal Rumble. I like all the clips of guys like Test and Kennedy and Batista and Umaga who clearly are not in the match.

Val Venis (Las Vegas, NV, 244 pounds) vs Johnny Moxley (Dallas, TX, 235 pounds, already in the ring) - Coach and Todd fabricate a story about Moxley choosing to fight Val, thinking he could get a win over him before other people. The fabrication is Coach and Todd thinking this is not the right answer (since Rob Conway's fired.) Val spends 30 seconds teasing the towel giveaway, though the announcers are happy with the end result for once. Moxley and Val slap hands of respect. With the lights on, Moxley looks closer to 135 than 235, and is also wearing a do rag for no apparently reason - wait, no, his hair is actually dyed that odd shade of fuchsia. (Todd: "Apparently, it's not his real color." Coach: "Really?") Waistlock reversals leading to a Val headlock, shot off, shoulderblock back. Off the ropes, over, slide under, Moxley back with a shoulderblock. Off the ropes, over, into an armdrag, Moxley back with an armdrags of his own. Val with a kneelift, small package, one two no. Zero leg trip by Moxley, Val goes to the standoff pose, Moxley starts going after him and then realizes it's posing time. I'm with Moxley on this one. Val claps for the kid. You ref is Jack Down, by the way. Handshake. Lockup, hammerlock, Val looking for a way out but not finding it, so eh drops down and spins Moxley out. Moxley takes a moment to think about it. Val parts the ropes for John to come back in, John steps thru without an issue, and then he kicks Val while he's sitting there. That was dumb of Val. Johnny Moxley shows off his evil sneer - needs work. Val forearmed, brought in, one, kickout. Forearm and things that were probably designed to be punches but don't quite make it, and other punches that are just okay. Val worked over in a corner, over to another corner for more punches. Suplex, Moxley barely holding it together, one two no. Moxley fighting for a reverse neckbreaker, and gets it despite Val fighting back. Kick to the side. Whip, head down too soon, Val kicks it. Snake eyes for Johnny Moxley. Clothesline, clothesline, back elbow, chop, corner whip, Val charging clothesline, and corner clotheslines while he's there. Moxley's red hair flies all over the place on that. Moxley fights out of the corner, but only gets a kick and a double underhook suplex for his trouble. Val going up, Money Shot, one two three. (4:34)

WWE Magazine: Best of 2006

RAW Rewind - HBK vs Rated RKO. I like how the video package explains that the spirit of DX lives in that Sledgehammer (2:33)

DVD: DX - what timing. Actually, I don't know that they ever actually mentioned the DVD, unless I wasn't paying attention. It was just as DX video package.

Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch (532 pounds) vs the Highlanders (Oben, Scotland, 34 stone) - this is a Superheros/Heartthrobs feud for a new generation. Who's going to start? Well, they'll talk about this for a while. Cade & Murdoch are a bit fired up for a match on Heat. Your ref is Chad. Rory (bald) and Trevor (ugly) to start. Murdoch starts with a slap to Rory's back. Forearm. Corner whip, Trevor charges in but no one's home. Rory waits before followup, and then the best thing he can do is headbutt. Trevor throws Rory out, bends over to get his wind, and Rory's back in and cradling him one tow NO. Trevor misses with wild punches, and Rory gives him another headbutt, one two no. Armbar. Trevor with a knee to stop him. Tag, and Cade runs over Rory with a shoulderblock. Forearm tot he back, kick to knock him down. Slam. Elbow drop, no one home. Tag to Roby, and Rory throws him into Cade. Dropkick for Trevor, dropkick for Lance. Right, corner whip, reversed, Robby charges into a big boot, and Robby gives him a bulldog out. Trevor coming in again, but this time Rory cuts him off with a punch. While Chad yells at him to get out, Trevor throws down Robby from the second rope. Tag to Trevor, hold for a kick. Suplex, one two no. Tag to Cade, hold for a chop. Forearm to the back. Snap mare, diving forearm to the back. Neck vice. Rory trying to yell Robby back to the corner, but it's not yet working. Robby fighting up, but Cade stops him and throws him into the corner. Cade charges, Robby stops him with back elbow, and punches for both Rednecks to fight out of the corner. Cade finally stops him with a running back elbow. Tag, hold for a Trevor kick. Corner whip, Trevor charges and lands that back elbow. Forearm to the back. Slam, no Robby slips free and dropkicks Trevor. Crawling for a tag, tag to Cade, , can he make it - no, Cade drops Rory off the apron with an elbow. Short clothesline for Robby. Rory back in to get Cade, but he's stopped by the ref and there's a double team stompdown on Robby. Tag to Trevor, hold for a punch. Face yank, and a neck vice. Coach: "...if you're a Highlander fan, and I don't know too many of those." Todd: "There are plenty of them! Tons of them!" Slam. Off the middle rope, flying nothing into a boot, TREVOR BLOCKS THE BOOT! and drops an elbow. That was odd. Trevor blocking the boot looked much like every time they take the boot. Tag to Cade. Slam by Murdoch, Cade with the lift into a Trevor legdrop. Cade off the rope, running elbow drop, one two NO. One two NO. Tag to Trevor, hold for a kick to the spine. Chinlock. Rory trying to rally the crowd and his partner. Robby fighting his way up. Off the ropes, beheaded by a big boot. Tag to Cade, Trevor not bothering to hold Robby now. Discus punch! Chad and Cade debate closed fists. Knee to the back, knee to the back, knee to the back. Forearms to the chest as well. Trevor getting on the crowd, which boos him back. Tag to Trevor, Cade holds him so Trevor can punch. Punch for Rory while he's at it. Robby wants in, Chad to stop him for a third time, Trevor gets a near pin off a reverse elbow, but Chad's slow to come over to count, one two no. Cade puts his boot up in the corner and decides not to pay any more attention. Robby promptly blocks Murdock's attempt at smashing him into the boot, and Trevor eats his partner's footwear instead. Robby crawling, crawling - tag to Rory. Crowd goes nuts because it's been around eight minutes. Punches for both guys, Scottish Hammers for both guys. Backdrop for Trevor, knee and shoulderblock to Cade. Flapjack for Trevor, and Rory's all fired up. Not fired up to do a move, no. Rory going up, Robby standing right next to him but doing nothing about Cade jumping up on the apron and shoving Robby off. Trevor covers, one two three. (9:46) After Rory gets beat down for eight minutes, Robby comes back for one minute, and gets pinned with the first move that touches him. That sucks for Rory.

That's it.
