It's Yet Another Special Edition of Heat (438), where the theme is - well, first, Todd's got to talk about taking the FU from Cena. He vows to write a letter. Yes. Anyway, this week's theme is Matches Which Took Place In THe UK

RAW 11/21/05: Bradshaw vs Shawn Michaels [lumberjacks] (Sheffield, England) - When you think about it - how is HBK wrestling and JBL not? Not that I'd prefer it the other way. Though HBK was a good guest commentator long ago, and it'd mean less DX. I love how the SD! group is Lashley (now ECW by the time you read this), Randy Orton (now RAW) and Rey Mysterio (now dead.) Did JBL's knees go out on the inverted atomic drop, or was he just tired? That was awful. RAW's lumberjacks are Kane (now SD!), Big Show (now ECW) and Carlito (still Carlito.) Randy is pretty horrible at sneaking into the ring. Chris Masters was here? When? Hey, there's Batista, doing tremendous damage to himself that he really hasn't recovered from since, that's good to see. (7:33)

Eric Bischoff has a book. I'd like to hit him with it.

Wacky spitting sound effects. To set up

RAW 11/21/05: Ric Flair vs Trevor Murdoch - Two matches from the same show! They worked so hard putting this together. This is from those two weeks where they gave Trevor Murdoch a singles push. By losing here. Was this for the IC title? They don't mention. It's not important. (2:47)

Todd explains the concept of "Monday Night". Driving on the wrong side of the road joke, check. When Todd says he doesn't know who wins the next match, I'm sure he's telling the truth.

One Night Only "1997" Shawn Michaels vs British Bulldog [EURO] - hey, points for choosing something besides Bret/Bulldog for the token classic match. If I remember right, the story here is this was one of those UK only PPVs (so I don't think it's aired in the US? - well, not at first, anyway), and it took place only weeks before everything went down at Survivor Series. This match was an outcropping of the DX/Hart Foundation feud. The original idea here was for Bulldog to win, in his usual "Hero of all Britain" role, and so he dedicated this match to a relative. DX talked them into flipping the booking, to set up a rematch for the next UK show. And so, HBK won the European Title and it just kinda hung around for months until they had him drop it (quite literally) to HHH. '97 HBK looks quite different. Not only do we've got British Bulldog here, but we've got Rick Rude, still as DX security at this point, interfering to stop the running powerslam. Bulldog dumbly clotheslines out HBK over towards HHH, but actually manages to fend off both of their attacks. Bad luck strikes - Bulldog goes to finish HBK with a running powerslam on the outside, but Bulldog slips. The ring and the immediate area around it is apparently set up on a raised platform, and Bulldog's right leg slips off the platform and under a guardrail. Bulldog tries to stand, and HBK takes care of that with a superkick. DX works him over more, smashing the guardrail into his knee a few more times. Pedigree on the outside, and now he's really dead. Bulldog thrown in, and Shawn - well, he starts to do a figure four, and then realizes it'd be greater with the knee brace off. HBK throws it to Bulldog's wife (ah, that's why they keep showing her) and puts on that figure four. HBK even gets leverage form Chyna and Hunter, as Bulldog tries to turn it. Earl Hebner is quite incompetent here. Bulldog's lasting a long time and moving towards the ropes - so Rude socks him from the outside. Bulldog's knocked all the way to the center of the ring again, where HBK gets more leverage help and JR sells it like the possible end of Bulldog's career. Bulldog's in the hold for about three minutes, and he still won't give. And he never does - Hebner stops the match. Fans cheer - guess they're confused? They do catch on, and start pelting the ring with water bottles in what was quite something in '97. HBK makes sure to point out he's a Grand Slam champion, and hit on Diana Hart. She's coming in the ring to pull HBK off? Chyna grabs her, and that finally causes Owen and Bret to show up for the save. Where were you guys five minutes ago? HBK: "The Triple Threat, right here!" Uh huh. (7:17)

Todd's English accent is exactly what you'd think it'd be.

SmackDown 11/25/05: Randy Orton vs Batista [WORLD, nhb]: three matches from the same tapings! They worked so hard this week. This is the complete match, because it's not much of one. They cut out Cole talking about some storyline. Oh, yes, this is just set up for a RAW/SD! fight, which is all for the best given Batista's condition. Hey look, Cade and Murdoch jobbing. Carlito's old finisher. Is this where Batista gets hurt again? This is! He's got nothing when he tries to power Kane in the corner, and really didn't to take these bumps. I guess it's too late now.

Todd hypes up matches he doesn't quite now. Fantastic.

That's it.
