corp open.

back to Saturday Night's Main Event: Randy Orton respectfully challenges Hulk Hogan to a match at SummerSlam (:27) I think I would've picked better baskets

show open.

Your host is Todd for this Heat #424, and he's armed with puns - DUCK. This is a Randy Orton and Hulk Hogan @ SummerSlam spectacular. I think I preferred the Diva Search recap.

SummerSlam '05: Randy Orton vs the Undertaker. Did Tazz actually get paid for selling the excruciating pain of a headlock? Why did they show the opening if they were going to clip anyway? A few clips here, and yet this is still a long segment. I'm not a fan of Orton's toe hold. Tazz: "Undertaker didn't have the speed he usually has" - this is quite the performance for him. Hey, look, "Randy Orton's Dad". (7:45)

SummerSlam ad (sack race)

back to Saturday Night's Main Event: Hogan oddly goes the long way around his car, dips about one foot to take the RKO. (:33)

SummerSlam '05: Hulk Hogan vs Shawn Michaels. Hogan looks quite the old man here. Lawler making out for Hogan is just weird. JR and I differ about why the fans boo when HBK's Sharpshooter ends with Hogan getting to the ropes (and no one running in.) They don't usually show blood in color, but I guess since this Heat is internet only, they're okay. Coach is really obvious about which lines he's being fed. HBK flopping around on the big boot is great.  (8:04, including post match) Sadly, they do not show HBK's interview the following Monday.

SummerSlam: Hulk Hogan vs Randy Orton - well, maybe.

RAW 07/24: Orton reluctantly fights Hogan. I like how Orton gets in the ring, and completely forgets how to escape for moments.

SummerSlam '04: Randy Orton vs Chris Benoit [WORLD]. Well, this was a mistake. Funny to hear Lawler marking out for Orton. JR: "If I was Orton, I'd be saying 'nein' - which is NO!" JR losing his mind is always interesting. (6:42)

SummerSlam ad (party)

RAW 07/31: Orton Knows Best - clipped up because it quite needed to be. (:50)

Todd is now a 15 year old girl from 1990. Which, coincidence, is where the next match is from. Todd mentions the friendship braclets..

SummerSlam '90: Earthquake vs Hulk Hogan. "He might have trained lean for endurance!" That sounds like Hogan alright. Someone at dot com goofed up, because the video ends just as Hogan is about to make his comeback - I'm pretty sure he wins. Fine quality control there.

That's it.
