This is going to be odd. open.

Your hosts are Todd and no one. This is a special Saturday Night Main Event promo edition, which is atypical for a Friday afternoon.

20 Man Battle Royal, 1987.03.14 (taped 1987.02.21) - Your announcers are Vince and Ventura. We're all about Hogan vs Andre, and apparently they're clipping this down. Hogan throws out Honky first, Andre throws out Sika, Haku, and Lanny Poffo - splitting him open with a headbutt, and he gets stretchered out. All the heels are beating up Hogan now. There may be people in this match besides Hogan and Andre but they're kinda beside the point. Ron Bass out now by Hogan. Andre gets Mulligan. Hogan gets Volakoff. B. Brian Blair gets thrown out by Andre. Vince can't believe Andre would hurt a man instead of throwing him out. Hogan's whipped into Andre, and there's the stare down. Hogan gets in a punch, Koko B. Ware runs in for no good reason and gets thrown down, and Hogan gets in another punch before the heels cut Hogan off. Andre kinda stands and rushes. Hogan gets Orndorf out, but Andre Headbutts Hogan in the back and throws him out! Slo-Mo replay! You didn't really need to the slo mo. Of course Hogan wants back at him, but they're not going to let them. While Andre's distracted, just about everyone tries to throw him out. They're getting him over - and he's gone. Now there's only people left we don't really care about, they kinda stop specifically mentioning the eliminations to focus on Andre leaving, so I have no idea who just left. Hilly Billy Jim gone. Butch Reed gone, Koko B. Ware gone. Billy Jack Haynes left versus Hercules and Smash, and the it's Hercules who's organizing. Badly, as the clothesline goes bad, and Billy Jack gets Smash out. Bobby Heenan gets on the apron to help distract, and Hercules throws Billy Jack out. That's it. (8:38) Heenan and Hercules are thrilled, and we stay with them for tow seconds before tossing it to

Mean Gene talks to Andre, theoretically live. "I have two things to say. It take eight wrestlers to get Andre the Giant of the ring, but it only take one Giant to get Hulk Hogan out of the ring." Gene protests, but they're interrupted by the Brian, who sure made it backstage fast. "We did it, we did it, we won the battle royal, Andre! [shakes his hand] I told it was going to do it, I told you I was going to do it and I did it. You know what amazed me out there, like he says, eight - EIGHT! - eight of the toughest wrestler on Earth took out the giant. One - ONE Giant took out Hulk Hogan, threw that three hundred and some pound big pile blond of garbage out of that ring, and to the cement floor. The whole match, from the start of the match, to the time he was ejected, Hogan hid! And you hid well dummy, you hid behind every tough man in the world, but he walked thru them all, he waded thru the mass of humanity, and when he put his hands on your busted up carcass, you went out of there, your ETA was about four seconds. And like I side, this man, fifteen years undefeated, is going to remain undefeated, and by god, he's going to become the NEXT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD! Let's go!" Heenan is pumped!

SNME Classic: 10/13/90 - Octuberfest with Mean Gene and Lord Alfred Hayes tasting beer. Food fight, check. Mean Gene actually blows the pie in the face spot, but gets in another try.

SNME Classic: 11/29/88 - Andre's afraid of snakes. "Right in the crotch area!"

Todd talks about various 80s pets to transition to British Bulldogs, and the two of three falls match with the Hart Foundation.

The British Bulldogs vs the Hart Foundation in a three falls match (taped 04/28/87, aired 05/02/87) - We're not going to see the whole match, but we do get see Matilda get Jimmy Hart. I actually just want to watch this match and not type about it much. It's a good match from 19 years ago, I think you can find a recap. They're also clipping out at times - breaks? So timing isn't going to have as much point as usual. A DQ for excessive double teaming is quite different. The crowd goes nuts for the title change, but the Hart Foundation takes off with the belts, and Ventura explains the titles don't actually change because of the DQ in the first fall (8:32)

SNME Classic: 01/04/86 - water slide competitions. Ventura complains bitterly about unfairness.

Rick Martel introduces us to Arrogance. (:30)

Todd non-transitions to Harley Race versus Hulk Hogan.

Mean Gene talks to Hulk Hogan. Hmm. "First off, Mean Gene, Hulkamania will never die, brother! The big wheels of Hulkamania, they're churning away! And Harley Race, you're the only thing in my way, before I get to WrestleMania, and before I get back to the World Title! Oh yea, Heenan, you're a smart man, you sold Andre the Giant because you knew he could never beat me, brother, but as me bowing in servitude before the King, I only bow to one man, Mean Gene, and that man walks on water! As far as I'm concerned, when I get done with you, all the Weasel's horses, and all the Weasel's man will never put the King back together again!"

Hulk Hogan vs Harley Race (taped 03/07/88, aired 03/12/88) - Hogan gets himself chases Heenan around, slides in, and Race gets in some shots, Hogan no sells, Race stops him with headbutts and even those stop working. Are they going to keep playing Hogan's music throughout? Race is selling everything so huge. Race gets clotheslined out onto a table, which doesn't look fun for his knees. Race gets beat up around ringside, but recovers just in time to stop Hogan from doing anything to Heenan. Piledriver on the floor? No. That was a gentle atomic drop. Ventura notes the long ten count. Hogan brings it back in and beats up Race some more. Using the tape to choke! This is new more vicious Hogan, Vince and Ventura sell very hard. Heenan grabs Hogan by the leg, Hogan grab him, and Race again gets in enough to take control for a moment. Crowd is very passionate about this match. Trying for the piledriver again - and Race got it! Race doesn't cover, which I think is a bad call. Stomp. Hogan thrown out. Race setting Hogan up on the table, then up to the apron. Race tries a falling headbutt, Hogan moves, and Race cracks (but doesn't break) the table. Somehow, Race is still in control as they come back in. Race goes up top, falling headbutt, and Hogan sells it like a fish out of water. Race takes his time covering, and Hogan's kicking out before two. Hogan comeback, check. Legdrop, three. (7:26) Heenan attacks from behind, apparently not having thought this out at all. He rethinks it and runs for his life.

SNME Classic: 10/03/87 - Mean Gene talks to Mr. Fuji and Sika about his match with Hogan. "I love it! I love it! Oh, Mr. Fuji so happy. Hogan, you are tired, so tired!" Is Sika ready? "Oh, yes. The Wild Samoan is a savage, and I train him four hours a day in my torture chamber. I give him raw crab, raw fish, and he loves chickens [footage showing Sika biting chickens - possibly not real chickens], just the neck up. And he bites, and he bites, and the head, he'll bite the the head, and the brain will be dripping out, slowly! slowly! and the eyes, will fall out! And I love it! Oooh, yes! He is ready!"

SNME Classic: 11/02/85 - Halloween party pie eating contest. It's down to Bundy (as Abe Lincoln) and Captain Lou Albano (as a guy in a toga.) The heels are rooting for Bundy, the faces are cheering Captain Lou, and the competitors are just making a mess. Tito is Zorro? Figures. Captain Lou wins, though I don't know how Mean Gene figured that. For a prize, Bundy gives him a pie in the face.

Todd non-transitions to the Rockers, hyping up how great they were (and wouldn't you like to see them again?!?) So I guess this was taped earlier.

Hart Foundations vs the Rockers (taped 04/23/90, aired 04/28/90) - This is quite the Marty Jannetty show for the first couple minutes, with breaks just for doubleteams, and then we get a brief Neidhart showcase, which is good but weird. Bret and Shawn aren't in for long, but Shawn's worked over. Lots of tags by the Hart Foundation, Shawn being cornered, pretty good, quite the match you'd expect. Demolition wanders out at the five minute mark to watch both teams closer. Bret's elbow drop goes wrong, and it's time to make the tag. Marty in, lighting up Bret with punches and a jumping back elbow. Right for Jim on the apron. Whip, powerslam, Marty points at Demolition rather than just following up. There's the superkick, two count. Turnbuckle smash, Marty pointing at the champs again. Corner whip, reversed, Jannetty over him and into a sunset flip for two. Whip, Marty puts his head down too soon, and Bret gives him a swinging neckbreaker. Now Bret's the one who needs to make a tag - and he does to Anvil. Bret catapults his partner in, but Marty rolls out of the way. Can Marty tag in Jannetty? Yes. Kick, right, whip, back elbow misses, Anvil back with a big shoulderblock to spin out Shawn. Crowd's very into this, with the girls behind the Rockers, as you'd expect. Shawn gets a two on a back elbow, and two on a cross body - that one gets him tossed out. Demolition help him up, but Jannetty suspects something. He gets shoved away, Jannetty punches Ax, Smash goes after him, and all six end up in the ring. That's the match. (DDQ 8:14) Referees manage to get the three teams separated.

Todd hyped up SNME once again.
SNME: Shawn Michaels vs Shane McMahon
SNME: Triple H & Cena vs Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, Kurt Angle

That's it.
