tv 14 lv cc entertainment open

Live, in Hartford, CT (for #311), where everyone's outside and almost no one's inside - except, strangely enough, Ivory and Todd. They even have a nice platform - is this where the RAW announce platform is going? Oddly, they do not go on about being in New York Earlier This Morning For WWE Experience. Maybe later. Ivory's very excited to be talking in front of an empty arena.

Vengeance: Chris Benoit (c) vs Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship
Vengeance: Randy Orton (c) vs Edge for the InterContinental Championship

Todd got to pick out the RAW Highlight Of The Week, which sounds like we'll be seeing Musical Chairs later. Ivory: "I can blab all night!" Yes. Throw it to

Coach and Al for a quick random Divas Search segue. Uh oh, Coach looks dressed to wrestle. Even Al notices this, but Coach wants to save the huge announcement for later.

Vengeance: Kane vs Matt Hardy in a No Disqualification Match. New video pose for Matt = win?

Let's look at the Kane/Matt feud. But not too closely. Wouldn't it be cool if Matt actually won? This video package omits any presences of Shawn Michaels but still finds time to burn JR. (3:41)

They do the out-of-video-package Vengeance transition but keep rolling it into the trademark dramatic shot of Kane. (Someone should've told Al.) "Matt, you're wondering who's baby Lita is carrying, aren't you? It's tearing you up inside not knowing. It's eating you, alive. Well, let me ease your emotional suffering: that baby is mine! Haha. Your woman is carrying my child. Now Matt, you don't have to believe me. You can cling to the hope that baby is really yours. It doesn't' really matter. Because after I'm through with you tonight, you're not going ot be around to see the birth anyway, hahahaha."

1-800-CALL-ATT and tell them about Ric Flair and Eugene teaming tonight

Wow, Todd just used quagmire and it nearly went over Ivory's head.
Vengeance: Ric Flair and Eugene vs La Resistance for the World Tag Team Championship.

Todd: "And Ric Flair has a new book out. And Ivory what's the name of that book?"
Ivory: "TO be the MAN! Haaaaaaaaaaawooooooooooo! That's a woo."
I'm so grateful there's not another PPV till SummerSlam, and SummerSlam is a long way away.

Highlights from the televised Ric Flair's book tour and some books signings. (1:23) Ivory and Todd tell us to buy the book now.

Now Added: Vengeance: Molly Holly vs Victoria in a #1 Contenders Match
Ivory: "Molly's hair has finally grown back" Huh?

Lillian Garcia talks to Victoria. "As far as I'm concerned, Lillian, the only thing standing between the Women's Championship and myself is Molly Holly. And I'm confident enough that I'm going to win and become the #1 contender. And by the way, I don't care....hi." She's greeting Heat GM Steven Richards, who's joined the picture. He seems happy. "I'm sorry to interrupt, I really apologize about interrupting, but I'd like a moment alone with Victoria, please?" Lillian leaves. The camera guy does not. "hi stevie" "Hi Victoria. Long time no see." "It's been a long time." "If I can recall, the last time I saw you, was when you left me high and dry after you won the Women's Title in the first place." "Stevie I thought we discussed this." "No we did we did no no, you're totally taking me in the wrong way Victoria. We talked about this, we settled it, water on the bridge, I'm not mad at you. In fact, I just came out here to wish you good look in your match against Molly Holly tonight at Vengeance." Shake. "Thanks Stevie." "[getting dangerously close to her face] No, I mean it. Good luck." Stevie smiles scarily as Victoria slowly backs out of frame.

Wow. I need a moment to recover. Wonder what Trish is thinking about only Molly Holly standing between Victoria and the title.

Al and Coach back in control to hype

Vengeance: Randy Orton (c) vs Edge for the InterContinental Championship
Overly dramatic video package to hype this. This is the semi-main event? I mean, both guys are cool and but still. Hope it works out. (1:56)

Coach won't explain his ring gear again, but we do get part 2 of the Divas Search (2:44)
Thursday: Casting Special. Get your tickets now.

NGage Batista helps Orton win of Monday

Vengeance: Batista vs Chris Jericho
Vengeance: Randy Orton (c) vs Edge for the InterContinental Championship  -They're hyping Edge's promise hard
Vengeance: Molly Holly vs Victoria in a #1 Contenders Match
Vengeance: Kane vs Matt Hardy in a No Disqualification Match.
Vengeance: Ric Flair and Eugene vs La Resistance for the World Tag Team Championship.
Vengeance: Chris Benoit (c) vs Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship

Todd shares his favorite RAW moment of the year - yes, it's musical chairs. We get a clipped version. Ah, Todd's favorite moment is particularly Tajiri misting Coach. (:33) Todd remembers this is the second time he's done this, and I think I might have a clue about Coach's ring gear now. Sure enough, he breaks in on Ivory and Todd (and Al) cracking up to cut a promo on Tajiri. Coach got some help from his boy Garrison, and we end up with

Vengeance: Coach & Garrison Cade vs Tajiri and ??? to open the show (no graphic).
Tajiri's finding out about it just now. Coach takes off to go get ready, so that leaves Al to hype the match one more time.

Next: Tyson Tomko (w/Trish Stratus) vs Val Venis

Ivory and Todd hype up the PPV Divas Search one again, and say goodbye.

Val Venis (Las Vegas, NV, 242 pounds) vs Tyson Tomko (Jacksonville, FL, 310 pounds, w/Women's Champion Trish Stratus) - your announcers are the King and JR (7). Back to RAW where Trish had a hard defense. Hard cast, anyway. And then she steals from Barry Horwitz! After we come back from that, we get music instead of a bell - ah, Nidia's out for some revenge. Trish backs away to the far side of the ring, and Nidia seems content to stand ramp side. Val wonders what he wandered into here, but Nidia is nice enough to warn him of Tyson's sneak attack, and we're under way. Right, right, right, right, right, whip, hiptoss. Big right. Val tells Tyson to come on, but Tyson decides to get out. Okay, back to the apron, but assaulted by fists as he gets on the apron. Tyson solves that problem by cranking Val's neck over the top rope. Tyson back in and kicking and punching. Get up to yell at the ref, get back down to choke. Nidia is rooting for Val. Trish is staying far away. Tyson pulls Val into the corner for some back elbows. JR: "I'm a very objective broadcaster." King fails to crack up. Val choked around the bottom rope. Tyson showing a wide array of chokes and strikes - oh look, there's another choke. Val trying fight back with punches, but Tyson rams him back into the corner. King: "I'm going to tell you something you don't know about me: I go out with Trish almost every night." JR: "Really? That hasn't been on the Internet." "I almost went out with her on Tuesday, I almost went out with her Wednesday, and I almost went out with her Thursday." Tyson right hand misses, Val right, Val chop, Val chop, Val chop. Corner whip, reversed, Tyson charges into a back elbow. Val chares out with a clothesline. Back elbow. Calling Tyson up, knocking him back down. According to King, Christian still has not received a Get Well card from JR. Val with a forearm, whip, reversed, head down to soon so it's kicked. Tyson misses a clothesline, Val tries for the half nelson suplex - was that supposed to be blocked? Tyson half went with it, then settled on blocking it as JR and King scrambled to cover. Half nelson suplex hits one two big kickout. As JR continues covering for Tyson, Val ends up on the apron but uses the ropes to get in a shoulder shot to midsection. Sunset flip, Tyson blocks it with a sit down cover, Tyson reaches out a hand for leverage (he even does that not well) one two Val reverses one two no. We half missed the kickout to check out Nidia moving to the same side of the ring with Trish. Val makes the mistake of looking over at Trish to yell at her, and turns into Tyson's big boot. Tyson starts to walk away, then turns around and dives on the cover, one two three (2:53) Haha, he forgot his own finish! I sure hope Tyson's a nice guy. Nidia, who was so much help during the match, decides now is good time to have a loud discussion with Trish. Trish backs off, and Tyson is now able to get in the middle of it. Nidia gets in the ring, and Tyson's after her. Not looking so good - holy crap, Maven's making the save for Nidia! Right, right, right, DROPKICK. Nidia and Maven celebrate in the ring. HUG. This is the best pre-PPV Heat ever. Which says a lot given that match.

JR and King hype

Vengeance: Chris Benoit (c) vs Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship.

From WM XX to here. Well, with a lot of skipping. There's no boos for Eugene in this version of events, but that's more because of overbearing music. (3:57)
