ESTO

CMLL (FRI) 05/09 Arena Mexico [ESTO]
1) Mascarita Dorada & Tzuki DQ Pequeño Warrior & Pierrothito
2) Valiente b Sagrado, La Sombra, La Máscara, Volador Jr., Máscara Púrpura, Stuka Jr., Flash, Virus, Mr. Águila, Ephesto, Misterioso II, Loco Max, Sangre Azteca, Diamante Negro, Euforia [Reyes del Aire]
3) Alex Koslov, Heavy Metal, Shocker b Black Warrior, Rey Bucanero, Toscano
4) Atlantis, Olímpico, Último Guerrero DQ Héctor Garza, Marco Corelone, Místico

Mistico had UG, but UG pulled off his own mask and Mistico got blamed. This sounds familiar.

Heavy Metal pinned Toscano clean in the third fall. Ovaciones story says Toscano used the ropes to win the one fall the rudos took.

Tatsumi Fujinama appeared was honored in between the second and third match. He's wrestling on the Dragonmania show tomorrow.

Order of elimination: Loco Max, Stuka Jr., Virus, Flash, Diamante Negro, Mascara Purpura (who got hurt), Euforia, Ephesto, Volador & Mr. Aguila took each other out, La Mascara, Misterioso II, Sombra and finally Sangre Azteca lost to Valiente. Valiente was taken to the hospital after the show. Refoma (via Jazzo) says it was a left ankle injury. Match was said to be around 15 minutes. If the pictures are right, Valiente got a ridiculously tiny trophy for this.

Warrior yanked Dorada's mask in the opener.

CMLL is on from 5:00 to 6:50 CT today.

Also in Reforma (via Jazzo), Mick Foley mentions becoming friends with Cinthia Moreno and Gran Apache on a tour of Japan.

Lineups

CMLL (TUE) 05/13 Arena Mexico
1) Puma King & Semental vs Súper Camaleón & Súper Tri
2) Fantasy, Mascarita Dorada, Pequeno Maximo vs Pequeño Damian 666, Pequeño Halloween, Pequeño Warrior
3) Axel, Fabián el Gitano, Felino vs Diamante Negro, Misterioso II, Virus
4) Sagrado, Shocker, Volador Jr. vs Terrible, Villano IV, Villano V
5) Blue Panther, Dos Caras Jr., Marco Corelone vs Lizmark Jr., Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero

CMLL (FRI) 05/16 Arena Mexico
1) Shockercito & Último Dragoncito vs Pequeño Violencia & Pierrothito
2) Dark Angel, Goddess, Marcela vs Amapola, Hiroka, Princesa Sujei
3) Blue Panther, La Máscara, Valiente vs Damián 666, Mr. Águila, Villano V
4) Heavy Metal, Negro Casas, Shocker vs el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Terrible, Texano
5) Dos Caras Jr., Héctor Garza, Místico vs Atlantis, Toscano, Último Guerrero

Lizmark, Mano Negra, Ultrman and As Charro will be honored on this show and the Sunday one.

We know Toscano and Metal are in a hair match next week, and they're in different matches here. We know there's a tag team title rematch next week, but Averno & Mephisto aren't even on the card, and the former champs are facing the Guerreros, not the Perros. How odd.

Is that a reward for Valiente? Doesn't seem like one.

There's a slightly adjusted lineup for TripleMania posted in el Maritente from Dos y Tres.

AAA TV (FRI) 06/13 Palacio de los Deportes, DF
1) Fabi Apache vs Mari Apache
2) Crazy Boy, Juventud Guerrera, Ricky Marvin vs Bryan Danielson Joe Lider, Jack Evans, Teddy Hart and Extreme Tiger, Halloween, TJ Xtreme
3) Alan Stone, Octagón, Super Porky vs Decnnis, Scorpio Jr., Zumbido
4) ?, Charly Manson, La Parka Jr. vs ?, Electro Shock, Kenzo Suzuki
5) Mr. Niebla vs Abismo Negro vs Psicosis vs Histeria vs Antifaz vs Black Abyss [mask, cage]
6) Vampiro vs Mesias [extreme]
7) Zorro vs Cibernetico [AAA HEAVY]

So we've got LIder for Danielson, a bit of a chance, and Abismo facing every single Viper they have handy, which actually sounds like something Abismo would accept. I don't know that this is actually any more accurate than other lineups - there's no telling how long it takes the magazine to make it to print, and AAA could've changed the lineup between then and now.

I'd say the basic format of the show is pretty confirmed if it's in AAA's magazine, though there may still be wrestler changes.

Wow, Valiente winning! i'd say that's a bit of a shock... but a good one. I knew he'd be the MVP, but never once thought he'd actually win it.

What's not so good is a 16 man torneo only going 15 minutes, that is absolutely scandalous, and cannot possibly be anything other than a wild spotfest. I thought with the 8 tecnicos, 8 rudos lineup, it would have been worked a bit more like a traditional cibernetico, but with loads of flying mixed in, but obviously not. Ah well, at least we (probably) won't have to worry about it being butchered to bits.

Next weeks cards are meh.... Nothing new there then. The only highlight for me is the Puppies of Evil and Fantasy on TV. 1 match from 8 holding your interest, it's not much is it?...

Henrik wrote on (Reply):

If Superluchas is right, i take that back. They have the cibernetico at over 32 minutes length, with the first elimination not coming until past the 15 min mark. Dunno if that includes the mini battle royal, but it's still a lot better than 15 minutes for the whole thing!

On the flipside, now we do have to worry about editing! :(

Rob wrote on (Reply):

Yeah - it went 32, confirmed by multiple sources. My guess is TV joins it at the first elimination.

On the negative side - the feed isn't working.:( Hopefully it goes up as fast as last week's Cadena Tres did though.

Valiente hurt himself when he did his Valiente Special and for some reason nobody caught him.

Rob wrote on (Reply):

Oh, and I'm avoided all spoilers of the eliminations. All I read was who went over who at the end. Kinda curious to see how some of my other favorites went out.

Is it wrong that I'm hoping this airs edited to death on the regular show just so the mini's can make GdR?:)

re: Tuesday show...

Mini's should be fun as usual. Gives us a chance to see if Pequeno Maximo can do anything except his comedy. Kinda surprising to see Axxel paired with that crew of wrestlers. CMLL tends to keep guys in certain groups and I was sure Axxel would be on semi-main level, like in Sagrado's place for this show.

Friday is certainly a dead week as they wait for the 23rd. I wonder if we'll get the card for the 23rd this week as well? Weird to see Valiente so low after winning the Reyes Del Aire but I'm ASSUMING they have something bigger planned after the big 23rd show is over with. Gotta figure Metal/Toscano will have some sort of interaction between matches. Still going with Toscano winning and Negro taking his hair soon afterwards.

Chui wrote on (Reply):

Oddly enough, some guys are saying that Valiente's performance wasn't good (even before his dive to nowhere) and that he actually got booed.

Well, he got booed, therefore he should be main eventing.

I guess Danielson will be the surprise wrestler, although I hope XPac would be back by then (I have no idea of how is he doing)

USAUSA1 wrote on (Reply):

XPAC will be wrestling in June for the big NWA show in Atlanta according to the NWA. So maybe he will return.

USAUSA1 wrote on (Reply):

The feed been dead since this morning which is weird. Usually before I go to work I would get the feed on the first try with no problems.

Rob wrote on (Reply):

Yeah I tried last night and it was dead too.

Rob wrote on (Reply):

When it does air - can someone let us know what airs and how complete the Torneo is?

Rob wrote on (Reply):

Mini's title match wasn't too hot for the first two falls. Bam Bam did channel Ultimo Dragoncito with a cool flip dive into the second row. Not sure if we're getting a third fall as there's a news bulletin going on. I don't wanna bother trying to load the RealPlayer feed.

Chui wrote on (Reply):

UG didn't pull off his own mask, it came off because of La mistica's headscissors.

Good thing I've already had read about Valiente's missed dive, better yet, the floor broke his fall, so he was lucky ;)

Rob wrote on (Reply):

Did a lot of the Torneo get edited out? (dumb question but maybe there was a miracle and they decided not to air the semi-main) :)

??? wrote on (Reply):

I just caught it from some exchange onwards, just before the series of dives in the middle, Valiente was actually alright during the exchange I saw but then was lost and ruined one of Stuka's spot, and then went to blew his dive...

I guess they edited more since Valiente nearly didn't showed up again till the very end. The dives were the same as always, but they actually had lots of creativity during spots, sometimes even blowing stuff but at least they're trying.

Semi and main aired. No one seems to care about the hair match.

Rob wrote on (Reply):

Which is why I still think Toscano will win and they'll try to make the fans care more about the Negro vs Toscano match.

I can't wait to see how badly the dive was blown b/c I can't really tell from the pictures. I want to blame Euforia though.:D

Marco Corleone wrote on (Reply):

Yeah Valiente did blow a dive but in his defense he does some crazy stuff which is very high risk. I can speak on behalf of myself and most all of my co workers that when he attempts his dives it is nothing short of breathtaking. No one is perfect and no matter who it is everyone one time or another messes up one of their high risk things. Congrats to Valiente, he is coming up and deserves the win. I am sure he will mess up a dive or two here and there in his career but 99 percent of the time he will make us go Holy Sh$&!

Chui wrote on (Reply):

No need to defend Valiente, we all know his dives are hard to pull off and extremely risky, although it should be noted that every guy who climbs into the ring is facing lots of risks, IIRC, Sangre India died taking a simple through the ropes bump... so I respect everyone.

But one can not help to worry about pulling Sagradoesques performance when positioned for bigger things, it also happened when he replaced Wagner at a main event a few months back.

Rob wrote on (Reply):

Reyes Del Aire clips are on cmll.com already. I'm TRYING to avoid till I see the full match but I'm itching already...

Henrik wrote on (Reply):
replying to Rob

You'll love the dives! :D

Especially La Mascara bringing the insanity and innovation!!!

Or maybe not.

But you'll hate the finish :(

Without giving too much away, Valiente looked fucked and his final 2 eliminations were weak as hell. Hardly surprising though - that fall looked *nasty*. They'd have been better just improvising and letting Sombra go over even though it wasn't planned, and for Valiente there would always be another day.

Rob wrote on (Reply):

Update: Still avoiding the vids! Waiting for the full match. New DVD's should keep me busy although I was hoping it'd be up tonight. Not helping are the youtube clips that were posted.:(
