FSE

CMLL FSE Guerreros del Ring #45, taped 08/19/07, aired 09/16 in the US.

Lizmark Jr. vs Dos Caras Jr. for THE BELT actually was - it was like a Universo/Canek re-enactment, with younger guys and a couple different moves. It was one of those matches where I see people in the crowd cheering afterwards, and I can not really imagine why. Maybe they threw themselves into the moment, since they were there anyway. Maybe they're more willing to look pass the obvious flaws than I, because there were plenty of obvious flaws to look past.

I can not fathom CMLL ever expecting to do a singles main event in Arena Mexico with Lizmark Jr., anniversary or not, after seeing this match. Maybe they saw it too and that's why it's not happening.

On the upside, I couldn't tell the low attendance by watching the show, so that's good.

The never ending Infernales vs Mictlan saga was better on the other show.

And they have done 2 of those!!!

People was cheering because they consider themselves "smarts" and have come to the conclusion of Highflying=new therefore sucks (regardless of how well or bad it is done) and no-Highflying (even if the matwork is minimal and they keep doing punches and kicks-not saying this is the case) = old therefore it rules (regardless of how well or bad it is done).

People is saying that Perro Aguayo was a great "ras de lona" worker when he didn't get famous for any technical skill, but for bloody brawls, which can not be defined as "mat oriented matches" even if they keep 'em with no highflying.

I liked the match so much, I watched it twice. Two heavyweights plodding away. Serious.
