CMLL (FRI) 08/17 Arena Mexico
1) Astro Boy & Molotov vs Apocalipsis & Ramstein
2) Dark Angel, Lady Apache, Sahori (probably not!) vs Amapola, Hiroka, Princesa Sujei
3) Alex Koslov, Heavy Metal, La Mascara vs Misterioso II, Texano Jr., Virus
4) Dos Caras Jr., Marco Corelone, Volador Jr. vs Ephesto, Mephisto, Olimpico
5) Atlantis, Lizmark Jr., Ultimo Guerrero vs Hector Garza, Perro Aguayo Jr., Villano V

ESTO preview.

You know, of all the matches here that have a real chance to be on TV (not the opener), the women's trios could end up being the best in-ring quality, and it's not like it's a super good match.

In Ovaciones, Perro says he's been besieged with requests to join the Perros, including hearing from people in the US. Perro says they'll announce new members at the right moment, and not any time sooner. Perro notes that Mistico's injury is obviously a cover story so Mistico doesn't have to face him.

You know, there's two spaces open, and there's two Villanos teaming up with Los Perros. I'd like to think Perro is smarter than that, but I can't be sure.

ESTO has an interview with LA Park. It's odd - clearly, the idea for the interview as to hype a September 7 mask vs Electroshock's hair match in Tijuana, but it turned into a pitch to restart Wagner/Park in CMLL. Park does the same anti-Mexico City fans bit as he was doing then, and accuses CMLL of protecting Wagner from him (by kicking him out after the brawl that included a wheel chair spot.) Park says Mistico is good, but he's only a boy, and it'll take a man to take Wagner's mask. He also says he'll retire in two years, as long as he gets Wagner's mask by then. Park says he's got a son who's interested in wrestling, but he's got to finish law school first before Park will let him go in the ring.

Ovaciones and ESTO have the much of the same notes section, and the same article on injuries. I'm betting the Secret E-Mail/FAX List had tonight's lineup and the injury roundup just paragraphs from each other, and no one the problem with announcing Sahori for this match while noting her injury. On the other hand, it's Sahori. On the other other hand, we just did this dance with Nitro/Neutron last week.

There's a new AAA blog here, but nothing's been posted yet.

AAABlog says Messias is the HW champion... that soon?

Or maybe it was Ciber's IWC-whatever title.

Aguayo has been talking about mystery guys for nearly 1 1/2 years now... good to see he's taking his time...

It isn't surprising anymore, but you still despair at times when you see CMLL putting up cards as dreadful as that for their biggest show of the week.

I probably wouldn't even watch it if we still had XEJTV and the whole show aired! I'd probably stick in a tape of Atlantis/Porky/Tinneblas/Rayo V Gran Markus/Bulldog/Killer/Poder Boricua instead for more entertainment.

On the bright side, maybe a decent undercard match will show up after last weeks disastrous TV selections by all the weekend programmes. At least Neutron's nowhere to be seen this week so there is at least a chance we might see some Valiente, Stuka et al, fingers crossed...

Looks as if everyone is putting bad lineups, Toluca's show doesn't look that hot, apparently, they ditched the announced main event and had Ciber "working" TWICE!!!! CMLL's Sunday and Puebla's show look bad, not to mention tonight's card.

Oh, and Valiente was on FSE's GdR... well, I think he was, hard to tell when he had 40 seconds out of the 7 and a half lucha opus.

You know XEJ TV is back up but you need a login/password to enter.

Unusually late for no results to pop up. I wonder if anyone attended with such a horrible lineup, even if Perrito was teasing a new Perro Del Mal.

Oh dear, next weeks Arena Mex (TV) card is even worse than this weeks!! :0

That can't be possible tr... oh wait, Lizy and Perrillo, Villano IV back that soon? Texano Jr semi main eventing?

Tercera looks more or less right, if rudos take over and never look back, but everything else sucks big time.
