No more CMLL on FSE

CMLL’s been off and on FSE the last month and isn’t listed on the schedule. That’s because it’s done, at least on the US version of the channel, effective the end of 2008. The latest WrestlingObserver says the deal expired at the end of the year.

Outside 52MX (which almost no one gets since Comcast dropped it last May), there’s no more CMLL TV matches in the US. And, depressingly, the CMLL Mexico TV shows seem to be missing from the usual torrent sites. Was that always Lover_Ice’s video being uploaded by someone else, and so it’s not there because he didn’t want to deal with paying for megaupload bandwith and no one else is doing it? Because there had to be a better solution for him.

Gotta figure out what package LATV is on. If it’s on the general channels (because it’s a WGN digitial alternate channel here), I don’t need to keep the Spanish Language package. If it’s not…well, I like the show, but I don’t like the show for $16 a month (and I really could use the $16 extra.)

Full listings here

AAA-US: This is the mysterious 09/09 taping, where results never showed up and only three matches from the show aired on TV. That’s 1:30 of programming – Gala is listing this as 3 full hours. Usually, the show will appear as aired in Mexico and there will be some unannounced filler programming, but there’s always the outside chance of unaired stuff I guess.

FSE-US: Final buildup of Emilio/Purpura, and we see if Hooligan can carry 5 men at once. If Hooligan/Okumura/Skandalo vs Leono/Fabian el Gitano/Ogun is good, Hooligan would be wrestler of the year. I’m thinking Hooligan will not be wrestler of the year. Show airs later than usual.

CAN52-US: My guess is this show gets the tournament, and maybe a match from the PPV since the women’s match is in the right spot.

———–

FSE-MEX: Women’s trios, High Fliers vs Japan+Satanico

AAA-MEX: what’s left from VdE and what else is around

CMLL: only 90 minutes, so maybe 2.5 of the top three.

09/14-16 Lucha Times

AAAUS: the AAA Heavyweight Titles Tournament begins. You figure it out.

FSEUS: Speaking of Heavyweight Titles: DOS JR. VS LIZ JR.

CAN52: New Infernales and cage match feuding in the main event.

AAAMEX: the taping from this past weekend we still haven’t heard results from. Did Ricky Marvin wrestle? Did they really have another cage match? (I’ve got to count those things up for this year at some point.) TV listings have this as a two hour show, so something are going to get cut out. I would start with the Mexican Powers vs Sect/Legion, but I’m cruel that way.

CMLLMEX: For some reason, this show has 2:45 listed. This would be great if they had undercard feuds to build up. You know, if I was in charge, I’d air the last Purpura/Emilio match here as well as part of a hard sell for the bonus Arena Mexico show the next day.

FSEMEX: Emilio/Purpura will air here, that’s for sure.

09/01: Lagarde, Mexico Results, Anniversary Show Main Event (this time for sure),

Update on this week’s AAA Galavision

They didn’t air exactly the same show as in Mexico

Today/Tomorrow
lots of clips of past TripleManias
2) Gran Apache & Laredo Kid b Super Calo & Super Fly [losers advance, pi]
4) Juventud Guerrera b Fuerza Guerrera [street]
7) Head Hunter I, Rikishi, Ron Killings, Sabu b La Parka Jr., Latin Lover, the Animal, Zorro

They recut the episode from Mexico. I believe that’s a first – they’ve cut episodes in half before, but this took more work than that.

You want this first hour. Catch on the replays if you haven’t got it already. – actually, after sitting down to watch it, you really just want the first half hour. Parajes incredible match is not as great as some of their other stuff, and it’s very much not long (need to look up Ocampo’s match time to see if it got cut), but it was worth seeing if you could see it. If you didn’t, you’ll live and you’ll want to see the mask match next week regardless.

next week, we’ve got
1) Alfa, Casandro, Fabi Apache, Mini Abismo Negro b Cinthia Moreno, Octagoncito, Oriental, Pimpinela Escarlata (I think)
3) Crazy Boy & Joe Lider b Cuervo & Ozz [AAA TAG]
5) Super Fly b Super Calo [mask]
8) Kenzo Suzuki L Cibernetico, Chessman, Charly Manson, Mesias, X-Pac [cage, hair]
