11/30: Todos x El Todos, Lineups

indy (SUN) 11/23 Centro Deportivo Cordobes, Cordoba, Veracruz [SuperLuchas #292]
1) Maldito & Sombra Negra b Crazy Star & Spider Boy
2) Infierno Negro & Super Orion Jr. b Cometa Azul & Duende Acosta Jr.
3) Ringo Acosta, Rockero Tri, Tigre Blanco b Demonio Rojo, Marinero Acosta Jr., Super Orion
4) Angel del Futuro b Frankenstein 2000 [mask]

Frankenstein 2000 is Raul Gutierrez, 55 years old, 32 years of experience and best known as Barba Negra.

Todo x El Todo (SAT) 11/29 Circo Price, Madrid, Spain [pressing catch via SuperLuchas]
1) Corazón de Barrio b Magno
2) Mascarita Sagrada & Octagoncito b Lobito Feroz & Pierrothito
3) Casandro b Incógnito
4) El Hijo Del Santo & Solar I b Blue Demon Jr. & El Hijo del Solitario

This mini Pierroth with this group has to be a different one, or he’s banned for sure.

SuperLuchas 292 includes an interview with Mil Mascaras, Black Shadow Jr. the promoter of NWE for Mexico (not Juvi.) He says they plan on running two shows in February, and says the wrestlers involved will include Ric Flair, Rob Van Dam, Booker T, Super Nova, Ultimo Dragon, Pac and other usual NWE wrestlers. I’m highly skeptical of those first three names, it may be news to them that they’re working these shows.

Accion had highlights of CMLL’s main event (focus on Shocker and Mistico beating their rivals) and Latin/Zorro from AAA. WWE’s clips were of the women’s match, again.

SuperLuchas says Rey Misterio still has not signed his WWE deal. His old one runs out early next year.

The Gladiatores has an interview with Marco Antonio Moreno of IWRG.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

AULL (WED) 12/03 Arena Lopez Mateos
1) Lady Apache & Vicki Carnaza vs Martha Villalobos & Rossy Moreno
2) Danny Boy, La Flecha (Skayde), Lasser vs Bronco (UWA), Rocky Santana, Romano Garcia
3) Villano IV & Villano V vs Scorpio Jr. & Shu el Guerrero and Super Astro & Ultraman and Kahoz & Rambo [Copa UWA Toreo]
4) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Mil Mascaras vs Canek & Dos Caras Sr.

This is the El Toreo farewell show. I’m assuming that’s Skayde there, and not the more recent Flecha.

CMLL (SUN) 12/07 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Imposter & Plata vs Ebola & Fraile de la Muerte
2) Virgo vs Samurai, Thunder Boy, Quazar, Neon, Milenio, Azazel, Relampago Azul [mask]
3) Hijo del Fantasma & La Máscara vs Terrible & Texano Jr.
4) Marco Corelone & Shocker vs Lizmark Jr. & Mr. Niebla

IWRG (SUN) 12/07 Arena Naucalpan
1) Eragon & Goleador vs Anticristo Jr. & Nemsis (IWRG)
2) Marco Rivera & Tony Rivera vs Trauma I & Trauma II
3) Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro vs Black Terry, Cerebro Negro, Dr. Cerebro [EdM Trios]
4) Cien Caras Jr., Hijo del Cien Caras, Máscara Año 2000 vs Arlequin, el Hijo del Pierroth, Pierroth II
5) Scorpio Jr. vs Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. [Rey del Ring]
6) Fuerza Guerrera, Super Astro, Tinieblas Jr., Zumbido vs Head Hunter I, Masada, Tetsuya, Veneno

Tony hasn’t been back in Arena Coliseo since he lost his hair last month to Loco Max (and Arena Mexico since August.) I still maintain that finish was no surprise given how Tony had been using, but the fact that it was no surprise means it’s also no surprise he’s out of there.

This show, IWRG’s 46th anniversary celebration of wrestling in Mexico State (Arena Naucalpan and the predecessors), also goes up against the Perros show and the Sunday Arena Mexico show.

FSE is airing:
– Euforia, Nosferatu, Satánico b Flash, Leono, Stuka Jr.
– La Sombra, Mascara Dorada, Místico DQ Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto

10/06: Coliseo, GDL, AAA notes, Mistico having more surgery?

CMLL (SUN) 10/05 Arena Coliseo [ovaciones]
1) Metálico & Tigre Blanco b Arkangel & Hooligan
2) Fabián el Gitano, Leono, Stuka Jr. b Ephesto, Vangelis, Virus
3) Damián 666, Mephisto, Mr. Águila b Grey Shadow, Sagrado, Volador Jr.
4) Loco Max b Tony Rivera [hair]
5) Blue Panther, Dos Caras Jr., Dr. Wagner Jr. b Atlantis, Black Warrior, Mr. Niebla

Loco Max beating Tony for Loco Max’s first hair is an upset, but not as a big surprise. They tipped off the finish with the note posted on CMLL.com announcing this match. Even if they didn’t, Loco’s lost his hair plenty but always to young guys who they’re trying to get more attention. Rivera’s long stop being a young guy. This seems just so next time Loco is in a hair match (which probably won’t be that long), they can point out he hasn’t lost every single one of them.

I believe Shadow listed as working is a typo on Ovaciones part, but might as well for confirmation. I suppose he could’ve finished up quick there and booked it to AAA just to say he was in both places on the same night (and then would they show it on FSE? Yea, probably.)

SuperLuchas has more on the Rocky Romero jump. Konnan had been talking to him about it for a bit, and Romero jumped because he didn’t feel CMLL was supporting him.

CMLL (SUN) 10/05 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [MT]
5) Lizmark Jr. DQ Marco Corelone

Match was worked around a knee injury to Corelone’s left knee. Sounded more like a story point for the match (and a run thru for the hair match) and not a injury that’ll take Corelone out, but it’s not totally clear. Corelone snuck in a fall with a small package, but Lizmark got him with a half crab in the third fall. Marco gave, gave some more, and Lizmark wasn’t interested in letting go, so Corelone won by DQ.

Box Y Lucha has also sorts of fun teasers for this week’s edition (#2891)
– Mistico is apparently heading back to the operation room, which sounds like he’s going to be out more
– Dos says he’s NOT vetoed from CMLL, which conflicts with what he just said two days ago.
– The Goddess interview makes it sound like she’s already lost her mask (a week early?)
– Paco Alonso is quoted, saying he doesn’t care about WWE TV coming in.

LuchandoLibre has clips of the NWA Mexico show. SuperLuchas updates injuries on the show: Super Muneco is visiting a chiropractor. Blue Demon is in a neck brace, and he and Dandy have a meeting at the DF Box Y Lucha commission tomorrow. SoloLuchas now has it’s notes on the semimain and main and

Al Filo del Ring talks to TVC Deportes about their lucha coverage (they signed a 2 year contract with WWE for RAW, and a 5 year contract with CMLL to show Arena Puebla) and Groon XXX (who says both AAA and CMLL want him and are just waiting for him to say yes, but he wants to wait six more months.) If WWE was willing to pay him what he’s worth and put him top, Groon says he’d go there too.

El Sol de Cuautla previews Tuesday’s shows. I’ll do that…Tuesday.

10/02: Juarez, NWA Mexico, Monterery

Ovaciones talks to Tony Rivera, who says Loco Max is a dangerous opponent who he’s going to defeat. Tony hopes this win will move him up in CMLL (noting he’s been there 10 years) and would like Satanico next.

Ángel Azteca Jr. & Sombra de Plata beat Semental & Zayco in Tuesday’s opener. Now you know!

AAA (SUN) 09/28 Poliforo Juan Gabriel, Juarez [thanks to albert cerda]
1) Espectro III & Hermes b ? & Rey Halcon
2) Maquina 45 Jr. & Samuray b Chucky & Rey America
3) Cinta de Oro, Pirata Morgan Sr., Rey Guerrero b Gato Eveready, Magno, Takeda
4) Killer Clown, Psycho Clown, Zombie Clown DQ El Alebrije, Octagón, Super Porky
5) Cibernetico & La Parka Jr. b Kenzo Suzuki & Mesias

Show drew much better than the last CMLL show here – this was close to the sell out. (CMLL is back here with Park vs Wagner on 10/12.)

Princesa Sujei: likes punching Canadians/CMLL
Princesa Sujei: likes punching Canadians/CMLL

In the semimain, they did a finish where Porky fouled a clown, covered him, and got the three to end the undefeated streak (big reaction), but the referee changed his mind and awarded the DQ.

At the Arena Cuatro Caminos show, Parka Jr. met with a kid suffering from leukemia. Sounds like Laredo Kid and the local promoter set it up.

AAA says Psicosis (II) is heading to Germany on 11/01. Not sure who for. There’s gotta be someone from cagematch.de reading this who knows.

SuperLuchas says NWA Mexico is setting up a Adam Pearce vs Blue Demon for the NWA World Heavyweight for a future sure. That sounds about right for the third show, and I’m sure we’ll know after this week’s show. Speaking of, El Dandy wants to face Demon in a retirement match, defeat him (of course), and take over NWA Mexico. Blue Demon notes they normally go with mask versus hair, and if Dandy still wants one after their singles match enough to sign a contract, he will too.

Sticking with NWA Mexico but on the other end of the spectrum, SuperLuchas has a reall good interview with Black Spider. Spider is NWA Mexico’s “techinical advisor”, which basically means he’s the one in charge of deciding which guys get in their school (of 60 who tried, half were cut) and which of those get on to their shows. Skayde’s teaching at this school, Black Thunder, Turbo and Suicida are among those training here.

Confirming what was mentioned by Suicida last week, they’re planning on running a NWA Lightweight tournament at the next NWA Mexico show. (This would dovetail with Pearce/Demon for the Heavyweight title nicely, because you get to have NWA Officals on hand to make the new title nice and offical.) I am surprised that it’s going to be an NWA *World* Lightweight Championship; seeing as they’re unhappy with the other weight division titles being in Mexico for all time, why would they do the same thing agian?

And yes, there’s the usual “Demom COULD strip the CMLL holders of the NWA titles” bit. Since CMLL has now been using those titles without any concern for the NWA’s approval for decades already, I don’t think they’d react at all if they said anything (and it’d be a confusing lawsuit if they want that route.) The only way I can see this working – besides the obvious of CMLL champions working NWA shows – is if they set some public deadline for Averno, Sombra and Atlantis to defend their titles against an NWA approved challenger. CMLL still probably wouldn’t care, but NWA Mexico gets to publicly act like they tried to make this work and maybe a few days of articles about the promotion if they hype it right. You’ve got to make your empty gestures look like they mean something (that is the essence of professional wrestling.)

Do I get points for naming the NWA champions off the top of my head? I think I do! Does Atlantis even know he’s champion?

Marco Corelone says it’s about time to have the hair mask with Lizmark Jr.

3) Piloto Negro, Piloto Suicida, Sexy Piscis vs Chamuco Trevino, Escriba, Sexy Libra
4) Stuka I vs Mr. Guerrero [Coahuila LH]

Stuka’s defending this title here for the first time, but he’s done some with it in Torreon. The article lists it as the North Light Heavyweight championship but I think it’s the same title. And that’s your day in obscure regional titles.

SCORPIO TRIBUTE (SUN) 10/05 Arena Emiliano Zapata [LuchandoLibre]

09/29: Guadalajara, Monterrey, Coliseo

It sounds like wrestlers going on strike to protest TV Azteca airing WWE SmackDown on Friday may be more than idle chatter and have some substance to it. Something to watch this week, with the premire this Friday.

Lizmark fouled Dos yet again in the main event.

In the tercera, Sangre Azteca played the part of Halcon Negro this week and surely regretted it. That picture over there is a still of a Valiente dive gone horribly wrong, and both he and Sangre were strechered out. The CMLL.com report says it was only a scare, but that’s pretty scary. This also overshadowed the angle they were running – Tony Rivera vs Loco Max is indeed on for a hair match next week.

This morning, there was a note confirming this on CMLL.com, noting Tony’s past long winning streak in these matches and Loco Max’s bad performance. It’s disappeared since about 11AM CST.

Ovaciones writes about the Halcon Negro situation. They’re under the belief Halcon Negro is actually supposed to show up each and every week and keeps no-showing.

5) Gallo & Hijo del Fantasma b Malefico & Máscara Mágica [hair]
6) Blue Panther DQ Villano V

Panther had Villano in the armbar and V5 must’ve not been countering it this time because Terrible & Texano had to run in for the DQ. Gallo & Hijo de Fantasma did not lose their masks. Phew. It’s not like I was expecting the Dinamitias to win the tag team championships of the West (because, why?), but it’s still is surprising to see them lose any time they don’t have to at this point.

Atlantis has a new offical site at Atlantis.

(Mr. Reyes) Looks like the Oficials won the IWRG Trios title last night.

Al Filo del Ring has a Shocker interview from Guerreros del Ring (the magazine) – not a lot new: considers himself on leave with CMLL and desperately wants to go back, doesn’t like the AAA using the Guapo name but has no issues with the guys themselves – and one from Scorpio at his benefit show, where he hoped to return to the ring by Novemeber.

5) Intocable, Juventud Guerrera, Pantera, Super Calo, Toscano b Fuerza Guerrera, Monsther, Rambo, Shocker, Zumbido

So, that’s the second strangest 10 man tag from Saturday. Seriously, Shocker and Monsther teaming up. SoloLuchas main page has a photo of Scorpio, so he made it to this show. Mr. Reyes has tons of photos. Scorpio looks thin but you’d expect that.

I’m pretty sure Martha is supposed to have a whole troop of female wrestlers, but even on a charity show, it seems like only those four who get any work.

CMLL (SAT) 09/20 Cancha German Evers, Mazatlan, Sinaloa [SoloLuchas]

4) Malefico, Máscara Mágica, Sangre Azteca b Bestia Infernal, Flash, Metal Blanco
5) Blue Panther, Stuka Jr., Valiente DQ Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas

Panther wrestled unmasked and was fouled by Niebla for the finish. No Dos Jr., which caused some shuffling. With all the GDL undercarders, I wonder if this was booked thru that building.

4) Black Warrior, Dragon Rojo Jr., Olímpico b Grey Shadow, Sagrado, Valiente
5) Lizmark Jr., Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero b Héctor Garza, La Máscara, Metalik

Dos didn’t make this show either, which should restart the rumors again. Hey, if I was leaving, I’d take off the moment the anniversary was over. Metalik subbed for him, which seems like the extra guy hanging around but they tried to push it as Garza teaming with a guy in his group (that you already forgot about.) Hector had Lizmark down and was going for the moonsault, but UG and Rey trippe dhim up and took out the lesser tag members for the win.

Tercera finish is a bit strange. Tecnicos were rolling to an easy win, Leono and Purpura having done divs and Rivera taking care of Satanico in the ring. Suddenly, Loco Max ran, beat up Tony Rivera. Refs saw it, called the DQ, and Loco kept working over Tony. He was eventually pulled off, and the rudos expressed their unhappiness about Loco costing them the match. Tony challenged Loco to a hair match, but Loco Max just ran off. They did feud last week, so perhpas this is what that’s about. Loco Max is at least living up to his name.

Rudos in the second match was for excessive violence, and they earned that DQ. Incredible wrestles with a prosthetic leg, but Blackfish yanked it and started hitting people with it. There’s an AAA show here next Sunday, and Wagner vs Park main events a CMLL show two weeks later.

CMLL’s Blog has more Anniversary photos. So does box y lucha.

Guerreros del Ring #158 continues the trend of Panther losing being more important than Villano V winning.

As mentioned in the comments, Negro Casas and CMLL Super Lightweight Champion Rocky Romero are headed into NJPW for their G1 Tag League as the Caribbean Syndicate. I was wondering why they were just representing CMLL, but of course Rocky’s not in CMLL right now (yet, he’s got more history in NJPW than if CMLL just sent a random guy like Gray Shadow.) Meanwhile, Rayo Jr. is working the Fukumenmania 9 show, about the time you’re reading this. That YouTube video wins the award for best combination of a remixed Roxette song with masked wrestling.

Mistico appeared on the show, like he plans for all the shows he will miss (lot of resting he’s going to get in that way), explaining his injury. Dr. Wagner replaced him, which Ovaciones says was “reason why the fight was much better.” I guess Mistico needs to wave at the crowd more while he’s supposed to be selling. When the referee cut off Wagner from attacking Atlantis (when he was down and not moving), Wagner hit the ref and that’s your DQ.

At last report (superluchas), Atlantis was listed as stable in hospital, but they’re still doing brain work.

Both singles matches were said to be good and had money thrown in.

Rafaga is a random local guy. In the third fall, the referee turned rudo to help Super Brazo, until Super Brazo accidentally punched him. Brazo rolled up Rafaga, but it was a DQ. If you’re going to lose your hair three times a year, can’t you at least lose your hair clean? Credibility saving finishes only work if you have crediblity to begin with.
