Shockercito beats Mini Damian, GDL, La Park, La Fiera

CMLL (TUE) 06/02 Arena Mexico [Ovaciones, Avellaneda]
1) Bracito de Oro, Electrico, FantasyPequeno Universo 2000, Pequeno Violencia, Pequeno Warrior
2) Arkangel de la Muerte, Shigeo Okumura, SkandaloHorus, Pegasso, Rey Cometa
3) ShockercitoPequeño Damian 666 [hair]
4) Averno, Ephesto, MephistoBlue Panther, Hijo del Fantasma, Sagrado
5) La Sombra, Mistico, Volador Jr.Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas

Shockercito took the first, Mini Damian the second, and Shockercito the third. The barber is up to 109 haircuts. Mistico got Negro with a casita.

CMLL (SUN) 05/31 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [record]
5) La Sombra, Mistico, Volador Jr. b Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas

Mistico pinned Negro here too.

SuperLuchas has a summary of a couple recent interviews with LA Park. Park says he could’ve gone to WWE, but they wanted him to cut down to 220 lb and he’s at 275. Also, he ran into La Parka Jr. at a gas station in Nuevo Laredo one time, and beat him up.

AAA interviews La Fiera, who is not dead. He says he’s been thought dead at least three times, so he’s thinking it’s his new gimmick. His explanation for why people think he’s dead is he moves around a bit, so when people don’t see him around any more, they think he’s passed. I don’t think that’s all of it.

Dos Caras Jr. has been a rudo for about two months now, so it’s about time for him to form (yet another) rudo group. He’s thinking about forming one named Ola Roja.

Panama’s Sandokan, a long time local rival of Anibal, was honored for his career.

Cotorreando con Box y Lucha has an interview with Super Calo.

SuperLuchas has Santo giving Kato Kung Lee the donations for their sponsored raffle. Not many tickets were sold.

Cesar wonders if anyone but the most hardcore fans actually care about legends shows like the one Luchas 2000 is doing.

CMLL FRAM (THU) 07/16 Arena Mexico [Record]
1) Bam Bam, Mascarita Dorada, Shockercito vs Pequeño Damian 666, Pequeño Warrior, Pierrothito
2) Hiroka, Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sujei vs Dark Angel, Lady Apache, Marcela
3) Blue Panther, Hector Garza, Shocker vs Dos Caras Jr., Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas
4) La Sombra, Mistico, Volador Jr. vs ?, Atlantis, Ultimo Guerrero

Was it the FRAM or the Record show that turned up on TV last year? That question mark in the main surely was Rey Bucanero, which means his injury came as surprise to at least whoever figured out this card. Wonder if they’ll just turn Toscano again and put him back on the Guerreros to fill Rey’s spot.

Santo in AAA for TripleMania only, CMLL to announce anti-TripleMania today?, Mini Damian, GDL

AAA tapes today Aguascalientes. By the end of the night, we should have an AAA Cruiserweight Champion and probably have more officially announced participants in the TripleMania cage match. Perhaps some other matches for TripleMania too. AAA hypes Silver King vs Dr. Wagner in the main tag match.

Speaking of that show, El Hijo del Santo told Reforma that he’s only signed for the appearance at TripleMania right now.

Ovaciones says CMLL will hold a press conference today to announce their plans for the June 12th show, suggesting either Shocker/Dos Jr. or Epehsto/Rey Buc matches. This is usually the Jucio Final show and I still think the big cage match is the most likely possibility, with Ephesto and Rey doing the singles title match on the lead up. Remember when the CMLL LH title was over? A long time ago.

It probably won’t be a Mini Damian 666/Shockercito main, not just for the very obvious reasons: says that match will probably be on June 2nd. Fuego en el Ring caught up with Mini Damian 666 way back before the flu, but just posted the interview now. Luckily, he was still feuding with Shockercito at that point, so we can get his reasoning now: he was Fire’s second when Shockercito took that rudo’s hair, so he’s going for revenge. Plus, Shockercito is one of the rate mini tecnicos who hasn’t been orphaned by it’s larger version, so Damian wants to make sure Shockercito suffers just as much as the rest. Speaking of orphaned minis, Mini Damian 666 says he talked to not-mini Damian 666, who’s still totally okay with him continuing to use the name and is very happy with his wrestling. Damian says everything went great in Japan, and hopes to get to the US next. Damian’s future goals are winning back the minis title, winning the lightweight title, and maybe taking out Saturno just to defeat the son of a maestro.

CMLL (TUE) 05/19 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
7) Hector Garza, Mictlan, Shocker b Averno, Dos Caras Jr., Mephisto

All about Shocker/Dos. Toluca (Diablo Rojo) soccer player Edgar Duenas was on hand to cheer on Dos. I wonder if perhaps the man glimpsed on Ras de Lona is not a new wrestler, but a(nother?) Diablo Rojo player, since they’ve been pushing that connection.

The Gladiatores says it was Gemelo II who lost to Gemelo I last Sunday.

AAA CANTU (MON) 05/18 Arena Cuatro Caminos de Nuevo Laredo [RFC]
3) Aerostar, Crazy Boy, Ultimo Gladiador b Rio Bravo, Tigre Cota, Tito Santana II
4) Charly Manson, El Elegido, Hombre Sin Miedo b Black Abyss, Silver King, Soberdosis
5) May Flowers L Black Mamba, Polvo de Esterllas, Jesse, Yuriko, Pasion Kristal [cage, hair]

Black Mamba took Polvo’s May’s hair.

indy (TUE) 05/19 Arean Coliseo Monterrey [RFC]
1) Tribal b 30-30
2) Pedro Navajas b Pee Wee
3) Dralion & Streeth Boy b Black Mamba & Kaientai
4) Mongol Chino Jr., Silver Star, Tigre Universitario b Angel Blanco Jr., Rey Sagitario, Soberdosis
5) Black Diamond, Caifan Rockero I, Golden Boy b Angel Dorado Jr., Hombre Sin Miedo, Mascara Purpura

Sounda like a good show. Caifan fouled Hombre Sin Miedo for the win.

Psycho Circus: 305 wins.

Negro Casas is still hoping for that singles match with Blue Panther, but doesn’t want do to do hair vs hair because Panther’s hair is (literally) not big enough.

Latin Lover hopes to film a movie this year.

SuperLuchas has a recap of the Sunday GALLI show in Addision.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update from Tuesday and Wednesday, and Robert on CMLL TV 01/26/2008, CadenaTres 01/26/08, 02/01/08.

AAA (TUE) 05/26 Cancha German Evers
1) Astro & Mario Mora vs Loco Gonzalez & Shyru Dragon
2) Joe Lider vs Nicho el Millionario, Cuervo, Black Abyss, Extreme Tiger, Gato Eveready, Relampago, Kempo Dragon [torneo Abismo Negro]
3) Chessman, Konnan, Silver King vs La Parka Jr., Marco Corleone, Silver King

Main event is for control of the building. If Konnan’s side wins, he gets to take over here. They’ve been running Konnan vs the local promoter here for the last great while.

03/12: FCW, IWRG, GDL

FCW (SAT) 03/07 Cudahy Sports Center, Los Angeles, CA [the Gladiatores, SuperLuchas]
1) Jaguar de Oro & Lil Cholo b Maxim & Rogelio Ruiz
2) Vintage Dragon DDQ Ryan Taylor
3) Black Metal & Capitan Calico b Enigma de Oro & Kayam [FCW TAG]
4) Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Tito Santana b Brandon Cutler, Dustin Cutler, Kung Haku
5) Felino & Rayman b El Hijo del Solitario & Emilio Charles Jr.
6) Scorpio Jr. b Rey Misterio [FCW TITLE]

No, not the AAA Tito Santana. The other guy. Scorpio retains his title, Black Metal & Capitan Calico are new tag champs. This group is promoting Super Porky and Eugene for their next show.

Speaking of, Rey Misterio received his award for 2008 Best Wrestler from the Tijuana Box Y Lucha comission. Rey felt honored, and wished he there was mroe wrestling in Tijuana, since it was more the suburbs in 2008.

IWRG (SUN) 03/08 Arena Naucalpan [the Gladiatores]
1) Halcon 2000 & Miss Gaviota b Epidemia & Heavy Boy
3) Black Terry, Cerebro Negro, Dr. Cerebro b Galactik, Trauma I, Trauma II
4) Zatura b Testuya Bushi
5) Arlequin, Hijo de Pierroth (IWRG), Pierroth II b Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro
6) Head Hunter I & Head Hunter II b Hijo del Cien Caras & Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. [super libre]

If you like challengers beating champions in non-title matches to set up the title bout, this was the show for you – top four matches all were that deal. (Pareja Toxic really needed had to have some tiny arena tag title too.) They did arrive at the same conclusion in different ways.

– main event was a bloody brawl, the Jr. Dinamitas being DQed in the first fall of a no rules match (???) and the Head Hunter taking fall two
– Pierrth family with dominant with a two straight fall win
– Zatura/Testuya was back and forth with Zatura barely coming out ahead in the third fall
– Cerebro Negros were surprised by sudden Trauma armbars for the flash victory there.

All four of those title matches take place this Sunday.

The Gladiatores also has a recap of the CHIKARA/Invasion Azteca show on 03/08 in Delaware, with Quack/Solar/Kendo vs Mr. Ferrari/Negro/Claudio. Phil Schneider has notes over on DVDVR and K-Atomico himself posted photos of his debut (and win!) on El Martinete.

CMLL (SUN) 03/08 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) In Memoria b Principe Leo
2) Leon Blanco & Thunder Boy b Katana & Malefico [torneo tanque dantes]
3) Angel del Mal & Infierno b Acertijo & Mr. Trueno [torneo tanque dantes]
4) Boomerang & Gallo b Palacio Negro & Samurai [torneo tanque dantes]
5) Nube Roja b Valentin Mayo [hair]
6) Dos Caras Jr., Shocker, Valiente b Black Warrior, Dragon Rojo Jr., Sangre Azteca
7) Marco Corleone, Maximo, Toscano b Misterioso II, Terrible, Texano Jr.

Nube Roja took the 1st & 3rd for the win. The torneo seems to be taking shape: it’ll just be these six teams, and probably in a round robin format (which means there’s three more weeks where they do these matches to come, though this may take a while if they wait three weeks for each one.) Acertijo seems to have changed Trueno partners or I got something wrong the first time. Standings are updated, Gallo and Boomerang are the only 2-0 team so far.

CMLL (TUE) 03/10 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [CMLL]
1) Astaroth b Skaxy
2) Virgo b Guero Loco
3) Idolo b Angel de Mal
4) Casanova b Drago
5) Magnum DCO Metatron
6) Maximo & Metal Blanco b Misterioso II & Satanico
7) Shocker & Toscano b Terrible & Texano Jr.

Rudos were distracted by Maximo in the main event. I’m betting Maximo is the one losing his hair on Sunday, but I’m less than sure.

LuchandoLibre insists there’s nothing sinister about Black Warrior being off the Dos Leyendas show.

AAA says Mini Abismo Negro suffered a 10 cm (4 inch) cut on his shin at a Juarez show. He finished the match but was in the hospital ever.

Box Y Luchas put up a whole bunch of articles from last week’s magazine
Mini Damian 666 says he feels comfortable in CMLL, so he turned down the offer to jump to Perros del Mal with his partners. (Didn’t Perro and Damian insist all the wrestlers were coming to them and they weren’t going after guys? Hmmm.) Mini Damian says HE was Troll, I’d always that was Mini Halloween.
Ultimo Guerrero and Villano V talk about their mask match. UG vows to leave his soul in the ring and is hoping for a sell out. Villano V says he’s faced the best in the world and succeded, and then calls UG dillusional.
Luna Magica talks about being 8 months pregnant. On Ras de Lona, I believe they mentioned she delivered the baby and all is well with mother and new daughter (but now I’m not sure so don’t source me on it – go watch the show.) Luna plans on taking another year off before coming back to the ring and CMLL says they’ll give her spot back.
Hijo del Soliltario says he could go back to CMLL or AAA. He could do a lot of things. He complains that one company “asked me to do things I do not like, ugly things, in exchange for stardom. I refused very simply: women were made for men and Solitario is for women, not men.”
– A column complaining about those who put back on a mask they lost (Silver King picture) suggests a new rule: if you lost a mask in a building, you can not wear any mask in that building again, but you can continue wearing that mask in any other building. (Eh.)
– profile of father/son team Centella de Plata I & Jr
– Villanos 3 has a list of great Veracruz wrestlers.

Ovaciones mentions the upcoming WWE RAW tour the same way it’s mentioned all WWE news since RAW got on Televisa: with a picture of Rey Misterio Jr. unmasked. There’s a sidebar on the Jr. Capos defending their titles this week. They say it’s their 17th defense, but there’s no way we could’ve missed six defenses in Arena Naucalpan (unless they’re defending them elsewhere, which is possible but never been mentioned.)

Dr. Morales is picking Abismo Negro to win Rey de Reyes. AAA also hyped up Aerostar vs Billy

DTU posted a video of their appearance on Tercera Caida on their blog.

Hijo del Santo was named Rey de la Alegria in Xalapa.

WagnerMania posted video of Dr. Wagner & Olimpico vs Canek & Cibernetico.

Hablando de Catch has pictures of rudo moves. No fouls, somehow.

LuchaWorld has Robert on IWRG 11/08/07 and Tijuana 12/21/01, plus KrisZ’s news report. I really think Alvarez needs to steal that “Dr. Bryan” gimmick next time he has a match.

CMLL Lineups

CMLL (TUE) 03/17 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Hierro vs Fraile de la Muertge
2) Plata vs Skaxy
3) Quazar vs Relampago Azul
4) Shockercito vs Meteoro
5) Pequeno Violencia vs Boomerang
6) Flash & Stuka Jr. vs Euforia & Nosferatu
7) Hector Garza, Hijo del Fantasma, La Mascara vs Felino, Heavy Metal, Negro Casas

Lots of interesting stuff here. Main event looks like the set up to a trios title match, which sure tips the hand on the finish of Sunday’s title match. Can the Arena Coliseo tag team belts be defended in any arena named Arena Coliseo? Someone needs to break out the CMLL rulebook. Plus, more minis vs ACG regulars.

CMLL (MON) 03/16 Arena Puebla
1) Black Tiger & SWAT vs Karisma & Policeman
2) Bam Bam, Electrico, Tzuki vs Pequeño Universo 2000, Pequeño Warrior, Pierrothito
3) Angel de Oro, Angel de Plata, Astro Boy vs Dr. X, Loco Max, Skandalo
4) Black Warrior, Dragon Rojo Jr., Sangre Azteca vs Mascara Dorada, Sagrado, Toscano
5) Dos Caras Jr., Hector Garza, Shocker vs Atlantis, Mr. Niebla, Rey Bucanero

Main event seems ripe for more Dos Jr. shenanigans. I’m sure Black Warrior being listed doesn’t actually mean he will or will not be there. I looked at the tercera really quick and thought Hector’s guys are teaming up, but no, Astro Boy’s not in that group for whatever reason.

indy (THU) 03/19 Arena Solidaridad [RFC]
1) Anarkia, Kryven, Misionero vs Black Soul, Titanik, Voltaje
2) Gran Markus & Gran Markus Jr. vs Orientale I & Orientale II
3) Rey Hechicero & Tigre Universitario vs Halloween & Mr. Aguila
4) El Hijo Del Santo & Super Crazy vs Damian 666 & el Hijo del Perro Aguayo

If you’re Super Crazy, what would you rather do – main event shows teaming with Santo or work third from the top teaming with Crazy Boy?

10/26 Arena Coliseo Results

CMLL (SUN) 10/26 Arena Coliseo
1) Molotov & Romano b Camorra & Súper Comando
2) Fantasy, Mascarita Dorada, Último Dragoncito b Mr. Aguilita, Pequeño Damian 666, Pequeño Halloween
3) Axel, Fabián el Gitano, Leono DQ Hooligan, Nitro, Skandalo
4) Máximo, Sagrado, Volador Jr. b Ephesto, Mr. Águila, Texano Jr.
5) Héctor Garza, LA Park, Marco Corelone b Black Warrior, Heavy Metal, Rey Bucanero

Warrior replaced Lizmark, who I guess can go back to intermittently making his dates. Epehsto replaced Damian, which would’ve started some rumors if he hadn’t talked about staying today. No explaination on of the DQ in the tercera.

Mini Damian lost here, but is heading to Japan next month for Dradition from 11/09 to 11/12. This seems to be a Dragon deal, judging form Ultimo, Ohara and other DG Mexico guys working the shows. (Dragon seems to bringing the NWA Intl Junior Heavyweight title back, again, in a match between him and Super Delfin on 11/09.) Thanks to Scott for pointing this all out.

Romano is a tecnico, so I guess he’ll be feuding with Messala and Caligula instead of teaming with them.

07/21: New (Old) Tag Champs, Mexico Lineup

CMLL (FRI) 07/20 Arena Mexico [ESTO, ovaciones]
1) Molotov & Sensei b Apocalipsis & Ramstein
2) India Sioux, Luna Magica, Marcela b La Nazi, Medussa, Rosa Negra
3) Felino, Mascara Purpura, Máximo b Misterioso II, Satánico, Virus
4) La Máscara, La Sombra, Marco Corelone b Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
5) Blue Panther, Dos Caras Jr., Volador Jr. b Damián 666, Héctor Garza, Terrible
6) Místico & Negro Casas b Dr. Wagner Jr. & Último Guerrero [CMLL TAG]

We have new tag team champions, again. In the final fall, Wagner accidentally kicked Ultimo, leading to his pinfall, and Mistico yanked Wagner’s mask and pulled him into a small package to win it. Ultimo’s ticked at Wagner for costing them the match, so that teamup is done. Mistico and Wagner challenged each other after the match.

Few notes on the rest of the show. All I’ve got is the tecnicos won the semimain in straight falls. says Panther is still angry.

CMLL (TUE) 07/24 Arena Coliseo
1) Rayo Tapatio I & Rayo Tapatio II vs Polvora & Zayco
2) Flash & Metalico vs Arkangel & Dr. X
3) Lady Apache, Marcela, Sahori vs Amapola, Hiroka, Medusa
4) La Mascara, Neutron, Sombra vs Euforia, Nosferatu, Satanico
5) Bam Bam vs Mini Damian 666 [hair]
6) Alex Koslov, Dos Caras Jr., Volador Jr. vs Atlantis, Olimpico, Ultimo Guerrero

They didn’t waste any time.

CMLL (FRI) 07/27 Arena Mexico
1) Astro Boy & Sombra de Plata vs Caligula & Messala
2) Leono, Stuka Jr., Super Nova vs Hirooki Goto, Misterioso II, Okumura
3) Mascara Purpura, Sombra, Valiente vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
4) Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero, Sagrado vs Damian 666, Texano Jr., Villano V
5) Blue Panther, Dos Caras Jr., Marco Corelone vs Hector Garza, Mr. Aguila, Terrible
6) Mistico vs Dr. Wagner Jr.

This would seem like the build to a mask/mask match, but with Wagner and Mistico? I dunno.

CMLL GdR #86 has
07/13 Mexico: Pequeño Damian 666 b Bam Bam, Pequeño Olímpico, Bracito de Oro, Fantasy, Electrico, Pequeño Halloween, Mr. Aguilita, Fire [ciber]
HIGHLIGHTS: 07/17 Coliseo: Bam Bam b Pequeño Halloween and Pequeño Damian 666
07/15 Coliseo: Ephesto, Loco Max, Shigeo Okumura b Felino, Mascara Purpura, Máximo
Out of the ring: Maximo

07/18: Coliseo, Guadalajara

CMLL (TUE) 07/17 Arena Coliseo [ova, cmll]
1) Caligula & Messala b Molotov & Sombra de Plata
2) Neutron, Stuka Jr., Super Nova b Arkangel, Loco Max, Nitro
3) Goto, Okumura, Virus b Felino, Mictlan, Valiente

5) Mini Damian 666 b Mini Halloween
6) Bam Bam b Mini Halloween [hair]
7) Olimpico, Ultimo Guerrero, Universo 2000 b Dos Caras Jr., Mascara Sagrada, Sagrado

Main event finish had Ultimo sneak in a low blow on Dos, and Universo cover for the pin. Triangle was broken down into individual matches, like usual. Bam Bam beating Mini Halloween probably means this isn’t over – maybe they did this match off TV because the next one will be on TV? Ohara missed another show, something’s up there. Neutron still exists.

If you want to see highlights from last week’s show, they’re up at Azteca America’s site. This is what airs on the DeporTV America show.

CMLL (TUE) 07/24 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Neon vs Impostor
2) Quazar vs Azael
3) Metatron vs Exterminador
4) Magnum vs Infierno
5) Leon Blanco & Lider vs Asesino Negro & Egipcio
6) Valiente vs Virus
7) Blue Panther, Dr. Wagner Jr., Vampiro vs Cien Caras Jr., Mascara Ano 2000, Universo 2000

Valiente vs Virus is an outstanding concept.

AAA (SUN) 07/22 Arena Coliseo Monterrey
1) Aguila Extrema vs Mercurio
2) Iron, Ramses (Monterrey), Rey Infernal vs Barba Roja, Hijo del Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan Jr.
3) Billy Boy, Estrellita, Octagoncito vs Alan, Fabi Apache, Histeria
4) Octagon, Pirata Morgan, Tinieblas Jr. vs Antifaz, Hator, Monje Negro Jr.
5) Cibernetico & Zorro vs Ron Killings & X-Pac

Guerreros del Ring #96 has Fishman on the cover.

Noticias-Oaxaca has a bio of Angel Nazi.

Today’s eSdSLP AAA show article.

Minis Hair Match To Take Place (but you won’t see it)

( You know how we couldn’t figure out if Bam Bam was feuding with Mini Halloween or Mini Damian? Well, he’s going to have a triangle match with them both…but 07/17 at Coliseo, which would be a non-taped show.

Any SOLID word on a new TV show I’m not aware of?

07/04: Coliseo

CMLL (TUE) 07/03 Arena Coliseo [cmll, ova]
1) Molotov & Trueno b Messala & Zayco
2) Bam Bam, Bracito de Oro, Celestial b Mini Halloween, Mini Mr. Aguila, Pequeno Damian
3) Luna Magica, Marcela, Princesa Blanca b La Nazi, La Seductora, Rosa Negra
4) Felino, Heavy Metal, Leono b Eclipse, Hijo de Pierroth, Misterioso II
5) Dos Caras Jr., Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero b Damian 666, Mr. Aguila, Terrible

Hijo de Pierroth replaced Pierroth, or maybe it was always meant to be that way. So Salsero is still working here…

Blanca replaced Lady Apache.

Mini tecnicos won in straight falls. CMLL says Bam Bam beat Mini Damian with a bit of cheating.

Guerreros del Ring #94 has Benoit. Guerreros del Ring Especial #10 has Blue Demon Jr.

06/26: Coliseo, Halcon Tuesday

CMLL (TUE) 06/26 Arena Coliseo [cmll]
1) Rayo Tapatío I & Rayo Tapatío II b Pólvora & Vaquero

4) Felino, La Sombra, Mictlán b Euforia, Nosferatu, Virus
5) Atlantis, Olímpico, Universo 2000 b Blue Panther, Heavy Metal, Rey Bucanero

Evil Dark Monkey helped the rudos win the main event. Did the name contest for him get dropped? Mini Damian fouled Bam Bam in the segunda.

AAA has a preview of the 07/01 taping. No new details.

El Halcon #93 is up. Inside:
– Interview with Mini Halloween & Mini Damian, who both note they were really awful when they debuted (prior to this gimmicks.) They’re not awful now. To prepare for last year’s bodybuilding contest, Mini Damian says he dropped from 85 kg to 73 (187 lb to 160). They want Mini Olimpico’s championship (they accuse him of hiding the belt so he doesn’t have to defend it) and Ultimo Dragoncito’s mask.
– preview of a card in Chipas on 07/14
– Interview with Euforia & Nosfearatu. Euforia shares the same trainer as Sobearno Jr, but claims he’s never ever used another name “professionally.” Nosferatu says he wrestled as Camelot three times while living in Chicago – if jtron or Rob or anyone from CPW is reading this, do you recall him at all? They note it’ll be difficult to surpass the success of prior Infernales, but they’re going to try. Satanico’s a very demanding leader.
– History of tag team champions in Mexico, from Super Luchas 216

AAA (MON) 07/18 Auditorio Miguel Barragan [El Sol de San Luis (Potosi)]

3) Espiritu, Picudo, Silver Cat vs Aero Star, Brazo de Plata, Super Astro
4) Tiffany & Zumbido vs Cinthia Moreno & Oriental [AAA MIXED TAG]
5) Gronda II, Intocable, La Parka Jr. vs Alan Stone, Head Hunter I, Muerte Cibernetica

BBC Mundo interviews El Hijo del Santo.

Lucha Libre events are offically banned from Auditorio Municipal Torreon.

Mexican Wrestlers Not In Mexico

Chris D pointed out a couple of cameos

06/22 UWA Hardcore: Tyson Dux b Brian Lee – Lee’s apparently part of the Dragon Gym group, and UWA’s the Canadian affilate, so there you go.

Another Dragon guy, Amigo Suzuki worked in CHIKARA over the weekend.

Amigo Suzuki b Rex Sterling [qf, Young Lions Cup]
Chuck Taylor b Lince Dorado, Moscow the Communist Bovine, Player Uno, Ice Cream Jr., Amigo Suzuki [sf, Young Lions Cup]

Hijo de Ice Cream, Ice Cream Jr., Amigo Suzuki b Gran Akuma, Icarus, Max Boyer

Billy Roc b Amigo Suzuki

Pantera is headed back to the group at some point (and is going to AJPW at some point prior.) As always, I’d point you towards, who provided these results, for something a bit more coherent about the group. I really need to add a link to them to the sidebar.

Turbo, Skayde, Black Pentagon and Black Thunder are headed to Dragon Gate from July 8th to August 13th.

This is not news, but I think everyone would be well off if Chessman went to NOAH for a tour, like ASAP. I wouldn’t even care about him winning, but it’d be good for him to work with theoretically better guys his size. Whoever’s been laying out his matches of late has done a nice job of making his spear mean something, and I get the impression they’re very slowly grooming him for more down the line. Still, if there’s ever a time to do it, it’s right now as they’re pushing Cibernetico teaming with the tecnicos he hasn’t before. You don’t need Chessman around for that.
