02/14: Coliseo, Puebla, Monterrey

CMLL says they have not been contacted by WWE or any of their representatives about Shocker, Perro or Mistico leaving and joining WWE. The story, in Ovaciones, claims all rumors (especially on internet sites!) are completely false. A similiar story appears in La Prensa.

Cartoon Network will debut a new Santo cartoon (not the stuff that aired in Mexico) sometime in 2007. They don’t have a title yet, so I’m thinking late half of ’07, but there should be more specific news about this today. (ToonZone – thanks for the link.)

5) Dos Caras Jr., Heavy Metal, Rey Bucanero DQ Atlantis, Sangre Azteca, Ultimo Guerrero

Tarzan Boy missed both shows, being replaced by Misterioso II and Sangre Azteca in the main events. Ultimo Guerrero decided he rather foul than lose by pinfall in the main event.

Tecnicos were winning the segunda, but Sensei got hurt and carried in the second fall and the military took advantage of the numbers.

Avisman won in straight falls. That’s gotta suck. There were challenges for Veneno/Electro and Terry/Suicida.

At the Olimpico Laguna show today, Sultana del Norte has been pulled from the main event, and replaced with Ultimo Guerrero. Is that an upgrade? That sounds kinda like an upgrade.

LA Times Calendar Live has a story about things to do on Valentine Day, including Lucha Va Voom shows on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. I don’t read many articles that refer to Blue Demon Jr. as “ultra-sexy”.

Adolph Moreno, founder of IWRG, will receive an award from Naucalpan tonight at the show. (Ovaciones)

Next Chicago Lucha Va Voom

Tom Kenny was on Loveline last month, and I’m just now listening to it.

Besides telling a story about Dr. Wagner wanting to kill him for announcing during his match, he dropped the next LvV show in Chicago will be on 09/16.

Their website lists a Halloween show as next, so maybe I’m wrong? Or really late and things have changed?
