12/27: Monterrey, Puebla, IWRG

indy (TUE) 12/26 Arena Coliseo Monterrey Lineup
1) Burrito b Mini Burrito
2) Nuacho Libre b Sobra Sky
3) Vudu b La Kalaka
4) Golden Boy b Ejecutor
5) Mascara Purpura b Bestia
6) Estralla Doradad Jr. b Potro Jr.
7) Pancho Tequila & La Bndida b Humberto Garza Jr., Dulce Poly

I guess Purpura is back ‘home’ for the holidays.

CMLL (MON) 12/25 Arena Puebla Results [box y lucha via KrisZ]
1) Ares, Karissma b Fenix, Iron
2) Bobby Jack, Espiritu Maligno, Siki Osama b Astro Boy, the Tiger, Zigma
3) India Sioux, Lady Apache, Marcela b Amapola, Hiroka, Rosa Negra
4) Batman, Lizmark, Mictlan, Sagrado DQ Pierroth, Skandalo, Terrible, Yankee Star
Mictlan took a powerbomb on the outside and laid there. I guess they thought he was just selling it big, because it was ten minutes before they checked on him and strechered him out.
5) Atlantis, Terrible, Universo 2000 b Heavy Metal, Negro Casas, Sagrado

This post says someone said Mictlan suffered a Cervical Fracture. All reports on the show say the arena puebla staff was woefully unprepared and unreactive to the injury.

Ovaciones mentions the main event results for the last couple IWRG shows.

on Thursday: Coco Verde beat Dr. Cerebro for his hair in the finals of the cage match
on Monday: Hijo del Diablo, Veneno, Fantasma de Opera beat Dr. Cerebro, Cerebro Negro, and Suicida for the IWRG IC Trios Titles. Those belts were previously held by Veneno, Cerebro Negro and Scorpio Jr., so I guess this was a(n unannounced) decision match for the belts.

12/01 Arena Mexico Preview

Actually, the big show tonight is the Mistico vs Hijo del Diablo mask match in Tijuana. (So big, I listed it twice.) There’s even a bigger looking CMLL show in Mexico City, by the VIP promotion:

CMLL (FRI) 12/01 Salon 21, DF
1) Leono, Tigre Blanco, Tigre Metalico vs Dr. X, Nitro, Sangre Azteca
2) Dark Angel & India Sioux vs Amapola & Hiroka
3) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Hijo del Santo vs Blue Demon Jr. & LA Park

With Santo in town elsewhere, and Mistico out of town, why were they even considering running a PPV on this day? Maybe they were slow in realizing the schedule.

Anyway, the not-major, not-PPV card is:

CMLL (FRI) 12/01 Arena Mexico
1) Tigre Blanco & Tigre Metalico vs Loco Max & Ramstein
2) Mascara Purpura, Sagrado, Virus vs Alex Koslov, Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca
3) Atlantis, Tarzan Boy, Ultimo Guerrero vs Damain 666, Halloween, Hector Garza
4) Dr. Wagner Jr., Universo 2000, Volador Jr. vs Averno, Kenzo Suzuki, Mephisto
5) Dos Caras Jr., Rey Bucanero, Shocker vs Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Marco Corelone, Mr. Aguila

The big draw here is Perro’s return to Arena Mexico. This is his first match since losing the trios title match, and I wonder if his return means they’re finally going to pick up the Shocker turn in that match. All the Perros except Terrible (and Blue Demon, sorta) are on the show, and the champs are teaming up against a Perro group in the tercera, so something’s happening. Maybe it’s not a coincidence that none of those guys are yet booked for the 12/15 show – that’d give another needed strong match to the show.

Note that the big build to Shocker/Universo vs Marco/Kenzo has them split into different matches, with Corelone and Universo notably not in the same one. If there’s anything to them having issues, this would seem to back it up.

11/27-12/03 lineups

Still working on the news.

Lineups are below. Highlights
– the Tuesday Coliseo main – Wagner/Shocker vs Atlantis/Ultimo – probably is the match I’m most interesting in seeing and of course will. Perro Aguayo is back on Friday, and they’ve dropped both Universo and Kenzo from the main event.
– AAA TV tapes on Thursday.
– Mistico is apparently the IWRG Super Welterweight Champion, because he’s defending it on Sunday versus Black Warrior. At least IWRG figured out they need to move progress the feud; perhaps someone could pass the message onto CMLL? Don’t forget that Mistico’s also winning Hijo del Diablo’s mask on Friday in Tijuana.
– The Hiroka defends/retains the CMLL Women’s title against Marcela in Neza on Thursday.
– A Mascarita Sagrada defends a Mini’s Title on Friday. Don’t ask me which.

Speaking of title belts, according to the report from Arena Solidradid over on lomejordeluchalibre, it’s the UWA Junior Light Heavyweight title Silver King is toting around. You know, if they ditched all titles with Super and Junior with them in Mexico, it’d be a good start.
