CMLL (FRI) 10/12/2012 Arena Mexico [CMLLKaiser Sports (Leyenda de Azul)Kaiser Sports (rest)]
1) Bobby Zavala & Disturbio b Leono & Sensei
In a change listed earlier in the week, Leono & Sensei replaced Hombre Bala & Super Halcon.
2) Fuego, Starman, Triton b Arkángel de la Muerte, Shigeo Okumura, Skándalo
tecnicos take 2/3. Mr. Cacao was in the crowd as a fan.
3) Amapola b León [REINA INTL]
Skandalo, who seems to second Amapola a lot, did so here. Starman seconded Leon. Leon won the first with a plancha, Amapola the second with a Devil’s Wings, and the third with an Amapola to win the title on Leon’s first defense. Amapola is the second champion.
4) Diamante Azul b Último GuerreroVolador Jr.AtlantisLa SombraMr. ÁguilaEuforiaShockerTama TongaMarco CorleoneTerribleRushSuper PorkyKráneoDiamanteMisterioso Jr.[Leyenda de Azul]
Mr. Niebla was replaced by Volador Jr. Porky sentoned Misterioso. Euforia beat Diamante with the Nirvanalock. Diamante Azul pinned Kraneo with a german suplex, and Kraneo seemed hurt. Terrible beat Super Porky. Rush and Terrible pinned each other. Euforia gave Marco Corleone the Euforia Special and Ultimo Guerrero added a splash to beat him. Atlantis and Shocker beat Tonga, making his debut. Mr. Aguila moonsaulted Shocker. Sombra defeated Euforia. Atlantis gave Mr. Aguila an Atlantida. Volador stole Sombra’s mask and pinned him. UG beat Atlanits. Volador pulled Azul’s mask, but was caught and disqualified. Azul and UG went for a while, and Azul came on top for the win. Post match, Azul says he wants Volador’s mask. Line is getting long for that ride.
5) Máscara Dorada, Mistico, Titán DQ Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
Mephisto fouled Mistico.

CMLL just does what it wants and doesn’t really care what people think about it. You sort of have to admire that, though I’m pretty sure it doesn’t end well in a lot of case. This is so much like Mistico; even if Diamante Azul was ready (and Kraneo might dispute that this morning), they’ve pushed him in such a way guaranteed to make a segment of the crowd dislike him.

Amapola said she’d like to hold this title for as long as she held the CMLL one. Seeing as how Silueta won the junior version of this title a year ago and hasn’t had to do much with it, that’s a realistic possibility. Amapola is the fourth different women’s champion in CMLL (Silueta, Blanca, Marcela.)

Tercera Caida announced the next AAA Fusion show is 10/21 in Arena Lopez Mateos. A lineup should turn up this weekend.

Averno will be on the next XMW show.

A charity show to fight hunger is taking place on 10/27 in Nuevo Laredo.

Lineups

CMLL (FRI) 10/19/2012 Arena Mexico
1) Metálico & Molotov vs Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Acero, Pequeño Halcón, Shockercito vs Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior
3) Máscara Dorada, Shocker, Super Porky vs Black Warrior, Mr. Águila, Puma King
4) Máximo vs Rey Bucanero [lightning]
5) Ángel de Oro, La Máscara, Mistico vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
6) Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Escorpión, Tama Tonga vs Euforia, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero

Tama Tonga as the third man is probably not a good long term solution since he’s got other business, but he’ll fit in fine for now. Nice to finally be getting into the Guerreros vs non-Guerrero matches.

Mistico’s found new super friends but the same opponents.

Maxino vs Rey Bucanero is a match I’ve seen.

Terrible still champion, CMLL Puebla on US TV, IWRG live?

CMLL (MON) 09/10/2012 Arena Puebla [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Fuerza Chicana, Policeman, Siki Ozama Jr. b Ares, Centauro de Fuego, Saurón
Centauro de Fuego’s first match since April.
2) Gallo, Leono, Metálico b Apocalipsis, Cholo, Nosferatu
Gallo replaced Soberano, won in his debut.
3) Amapola, La Seductora, Princesa Sugheit b Lady Afrodita, Luna Mágica, Marcela
Amapola led her team to win, challenged Marcela for a title match for next week.
4) Virus b Fuego [lightning]
5) Mistico, Titán, Valiente b Ephesto, Euforia, Mephisto
A much more successful match for Mistico this time.
6) Terrible b Diamante Azul [CMLL HEAVY]
Seconds were Comandante and Mistico. Terrible kept his title.

I want to make fun of Amapola & Marcela having another title match. I can’t. After all the bad women’s match of late, I want that to be the only women’s match they do.

As you might have noticed from the earlier video post (or can check out in full on LuchaWorld), CMLL has started airing Arena Puebla in the US. It turned up this Sunday on the Estrellas TV network. The network is the same deal as LATV, broadcasting on local (usually digital) channels, but it’s different in that every network seems to be on it’s own schedule. Here outside Chicago, it aired on Sunday from 4pm local to 6pm, and it sounded like that was generally the time elsewhere. Last week, it was listed on the programming grid as “Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre” (same as the LATV show), but the channel grid was off by an hour. It is not on the grid from my local channel right now, but the announcers were hyping this Terrible vs Diamante Azul as airing on the show this weekend.

(As with other stations, there’s no mention of CMLL on EstrellaTV’s website, and no programming grid.)

As far as I know, Puebla will continue to air on TVC Deportes with a different production crew, as has happened the last few times Puebla has popped up on 52MX. Two different production crews covering Arena Puebla, what a thing. This would bring a total of 9.5 hours of televised CMLL each week, and another 2.5 hours on the web, though some matches are being shown twice. One of CMLL’s main revenue sources seems to be “selling TV rights to

If that’s not enough TV for you, IWRG says their functions will be broadcast live, though they give absolutely no details beyond that. In the past, the Gladiadores have done live radio broadcasts of IWRG shows, but those have been rare this year.

Fuego en el Ring has In Memoriam’s full name as “José Manuel Campos Ornelas”. They also mention Barbaro beat Smaker in a pairs match on Sunday’s card (via foul), then challenged him for a title rematch. It doesn’t seem in the cards yet.

Today’s CMLL changes are only in the segunda, where the original segunda of Camaleon, Molotov, Sensei vs Bobby Zavala, Disturbio, and Inquisidor is now Bengala, Molotov, Tigre Balnco vs Artillero, Inquisidor, and Super Comando. That’s four subs, though they did make the change on the website and on the preview. This show is almost all guys who will not be working Friday’s Anniversary show.

AAA announced they’ll be taping on 09/28 in Arena Naucalpan. That’s a Friday night, which usually means no Thursday night IWRG (and TVC Deportes will be using one of the Sunday tapings.) Crowd have been great whenever AAA tapings in Arena Naucalpan. Lineup will probably be out early next week.

LuchaWorld has Prince Devitt vs Volador Jr. and Rush in an eight man tag from 07/29, just before the G1.

Lucha Libre in Japan

NJPW announced Mascara Dorada, Averno and Felino would be heading to KAIENTA DOJO (which I confused with Michinoku last night) from 09/20-09/23. Dorada & Avenro will be off the NJPW shows for that stretch, and have a singles match on one of the show. They’ll also have a singles match on NJPW’s show at US army base, but it doesn’t look like they’ll be doing a title match.

NJPW has an ongoing relationship with KAIENTAI DOJO, much like the one they have with CMLL, so it’s interesting to see the three groups working together and it’d be nice if it led to more. There are plenty of guys in CMLL who would do well in Japan in but are too far down the depth chart to get a serious run in NJPW any time soon and need a smaller promotion to have a chance. Triton, for example, has a slim chance of making a FantasticMania show and no more than, but would be work great as the lucha guy in KAIENTAI DOJO.

Lineup

CMLL (SUN) 09/16/2012 Arena Mexico
1) Oro Jr. & Robin vs Akuma & Guerrero Negro Jr.
2) Fuego, Pegasso, Triton vs Cancerbero, Raziel, Virus
3) Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Super Porky vs Black Warrior, Misterioso Jr., Olímpico
4) Sagrado vs Tiger [lightning]
5) Marco Corleone, Máximo, Prince Devitt vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Escorpión, Taichi
6) Atlantis & Diamante Azul vs Felino & Mr. Niebla [CMLL TAG]
Atlantis & Diamante Azul are the champs

Third straight Sunday Arena Mexico show. They haven’t drawn especially well, but that never stops CMLL. If you’re looking for a title match they could run next week, the semimain could set up a rematch for the trios titles or (gasp) Rojo & Escorpion challenging Devitt for his title.

Seems like a slightly more full show than usual – that segunda would be a tercera most weeks, and nearly a semimain on some recent Tuesdays. Sagrado/Tiger feels like it should be lower, but it lets them run the three TV matches together.

This is the sixth lightning match for Sagrado in the last two months, out of twenty one total. That’s 28%, or 35% if you take out the women’s matches. No one else has appeared more than twice. Sagrado, human dividing line, has beat Niebla Roja & Polvora, and lost to Mephisto, Rey Escorpion, Euforia. That’s neatly a group of guys who are midcarders and guys who are near the top. Which group is Tiger in?

CMLL (SUN) 09/16/2012 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) El Yaki vs Gran Kenut
2) El Divino & Sky Kid vs Èvola & Thunder Boy
3) Black Metal & Virgo vs Espectrum & Rey Trueno
4) Esfinge, Gallo, Smaker vs Exterminador, In Memoriam, Maléfico
5) Hijo del Fantasma & La Sombra vs Mr. Águila & Vangelis

Vangelis in a main event! (This is not a strong rudo side.)

Note none of Rey Cometa, Puma King, Rush and Terrible are on these four cards. Maybe they’ll hold them off until next Friday?

DTU (SUN) 09/23/2012 Unidad Deportiva Fortin de las Flores, Veracruz
1) Hades, Halcon Infenral, Infierno Negro vs Angel Negro, Sombra Negra, Vengador

2) Lucky Boy & Niño de Ébano vs Angel Del Misterio & Extreme Boy and Kaleth & Lanzeloth
3) Hacker, Jhonky, Jorque Quebrada, Slayer Pack vs ?, Angel Del Futuro, Caballero Blanco, Spider Boy
Angel de Futoro’s team represents Josaga
4) Hormiga vs Flamita, Eterno, Principe Halcon, Triblal, Rocky Lobo, ?

Amapola vs Marcela, again

Tomorrow adds another chapter to the longest running active female feud in Mexico, Amapola vs Marcela. The two have been the tent poles of CMLL’s women division since it’s restart in 2005. Singles matches are rare in Mexico, rarer still for women, and yet they’ve managed to have twenty six known different singles matches in the last six years. Most of those have been matches for the CMLL Women’s Championship.

Amapola has held the title for nearly four years, Marcela has gotten almost as many shots as everyone else combined, and lost every time. Marcela has lost to Amapola in Mexico, in Japan, even in Guatemala. She’s lost twelve times. Friday is the thirteenth. It’s a ridiculous situation – how does someone get thirteen shots at a title??? – but it’s a tolerable one because the two consistently have great matches against each other, at a level that couldn’t be expected from many other possible matchups.

Seven of the twelve matches in the streak have made TV. Three of those matches do not appear to be on any internet site:

2009-07-28 Arena Mexico (aired on C3)
2009-12-07 Arena Puebla (aired on TV Deportes)
2010-03-16 Arena Meixco (aired on C3)

Here’s the other four…

Bam Bam

CMLL (TUE) 06/14/2011 Arena Mexico [CMLL, Record]
1) Höruz & Robin b Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Astral, Bam Bam, Shockercito b Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Warrior
3) Dr. X, Loco Max, Nitro DQ Ángel Azteca Jr., Ángel de Plata, Fuego
straight falls for the rudos, with Fuego yanking off Dr. X’s mask in the second. It was no accident this time, Fuego just got annoyed and pulled his mask off.
4) Dragón Rojo Jr., Héctor Garza, Olímpico b Black Warrior, Sangre Azteca, Valiente
Rudos took 1/3.
5) Rey Bucanero b La Sombra, Blue Panther, Atlantis, Máximo, Texano, Felino, Sagrado [NWA LH, cibernetico, semifinal]
First four out were Sagrado (via Felino), Felino (Blue Panther), Texano (Sombra), Maximo (Atlantis). Atlantis and Panther were having it out in the middle of the ring when Bucanero & Sombra each pulled them into cradles. Bucanero beat Sombra with the Buca Destroyer for the win. He faces Fantasma next week.

Hmm, cursed guy or long time tag partner of the guy added to the programming department? The Fantasma curse is completely over if he can pull this one off.

CMLL (TUE) 06/14/2011 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Virgo b Leo
2) Camaleón & Trueno b Exterminador & Templario
rudo team could not work together.
3) Guerrero Maya Jr., Hombre Bala, Starman b Arkángel de la Muerte, Ráfaga, Skándalo
4) Amapola b Lluvia [CMLL WOMEN]
Lluvia took the first fall, but the champ won the last two to hand onto her belt
5) La Máscara & Toscano b Mr. Águila & Volador Jr.
Toscano replaced Rush (who the recap mentions had been behaving badly here of late.) Rudos took the first, tecnicos took the last two and three clean.

We have that as defense #22 for Amapola, Lluvia’s second try.

Other News

Ultimo Guerrero tells Terra “I think the time of the Guerreros de Atlantida is just about over.” Ultimo is not pleased with Atlantis for taking Shocker’s spot in the Forjando un Idolo, and he may have to part ways if it ends up costing Ultimo 3 points on Friday. UG already has plans for the breakup: Dragon Rojo can stay, and Escorpion takes Atlantis’ spot.

Do you want to see La Mascara vs Averno? Then you probably need to book a ticket to Mexico City right now. CMLL Gaceta says the match will not air on TV on the Saturday show, and the new policy is these sorts of matches will not air anywhere for six months – which would probably mean the December recap/highlight season. Two quick points here

1) CMLL is a promotion in Mexico City that really only cares about Mexico City, and more specifically the number of seats filled in Arena Mexico. This is a great push to get people in the city to make sure they come to your show (and make sure it’s the show they have to see in person if they see any show that weekend, hint.) The world outside the borders of Distrio Federal can take a long walk off a short pier. Any debate about CMLL taking action because of their national TV rating is pointless, because they don’t care! (You can make a debate about Televisa doing something, if you must.)

2) Even CMLL is admitting Maximo & Brazo de Plata vs Doble T was not a big deal match now! I don’t think that was supposed to happen there.

A quick note about the Sin Cara/CMLL copyright deal: people are misunderstanding what that is. Sin Cara will be able to use that name in Mexico while in WWE without a problem, and they’ll be able to sell t-shirts and masks and all sorts of usual things. The only way that can’t happen is if CMLL sues to protect their copyright, and they won’t do that because they’ll surely lose. Unless Mexican law works strangely, it doesn’t matter that CMLL got it in a couple weeks earlier if it’s clear that’s WWE came up with the idea (and it is.) This will have no affect on WWE and CMLL is hoping WWE doesn’t ever even notice their claim.

This is not about WWE. This is a pre-empetive strike on Sin Cara himself. If he leaves WWE and comes back to Mexico, he won’t be able to use the Mistico in Mexico because CMLL owns that, and now he won’t be able to use the Sin Cara name either (if this holds up). Sin Cara could also take CMLL to court over it, but it’ll be a lot tougher for an individual and personally expensive. In theory, CMLL could bring him back to their promotion to use either name, but that’s unlikely to happen without a change in ownership. Sin Cara will more likely be stuck changing to yet another name. (Probably something starting with an ‘A’.)

Lineups

CMLL (MON) 06/20/2011 Arena Puebla
1) Tigre Rojo & Tigre Rojo Jr. vs Ares & Fuerza Chicana
2) Metálico, Stigma, Trueno vs Bobby Zavala, Puma King, Tiger Kid
3) Ángel Azteca Jr., Ángel de Plata, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Loco Max, Skándalo
4) Hijo del Fantasma, Metro, Sagrado vs Histeria, Olímpico, Vangelis
5) La Máscara, La Sombra, Rush vs Averno, Mephisto, Mr. Niebla

I don’t have full results for Monday’s Puebla show, but the locals vs Tuareg match ended with the Tuareg just winning and the locals giving them credit for being good wrestlers. Scratch that idea for the July anniversary show.

Looks like the week after Juicio Final shows are all going to be “see Averno or La Mascara unmasked for the first time!” everywhere.

I guess Tigre Rojo turned back tecnico when that feud with the Black Tiger’s disappeared?

CMLL (SUN) 06/19/2011 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Javier Cruz Jr. vs Metalik
2) Hombre Bala Jr. & Super Halcon Jr. vs Malefico & Ráfaga
3) Shockercito & Último Dragoncito vs Olímpico & Pequeño Violencia
4) Metal Blanco, Palacio Negro, Stuka Jr. vs Puma King, Rey Escorpion, Tiger Kid
5) Black Warrior, La Sombra, Valiente vs Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas, Pólvora

Card is totally different than the one I posted earlier in the week. Semimain is a rematch, but we never got the results from last Sunday.

CMLL (WED) 06/22/2011 Arena Queretaro
1) 1 & 2 vs 3 & 4
2) 1, 2, 3 vs 4, 5, 6
3) Disturbio & Principe vs Alex Guajardo & Galaxy
4) Dalys la Caribeña, Dark Angel, Marcela vs Amapola, Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sugheit
5) La Máscara & La Sombra vs Averno & Mephisto

Wednesday! Tuesday is the traditional date here. Possibly because the La Mascara & Averno show is in Guadalajara that night?

I assume that’s a different Disturbio or it’s a relevlos match or there’s some Queretaro angle going on the rest of us are not privileged to.

Tecnicos took 1/3.

straight falls. Rayo I had Bala suspended in a hold, decided to pull his mask anyway.

2/3 for the tecnicos. Metro beat Yoshihashi with a German suplex
4) Ángel de Oro, Diamante, RushEl Alebrije, Misterioso II, Olímpico [MEX TRIOS]
Tirantes was referee and slow counted the champs. Tecnicos still won, taking 1/3, Rush pinning Alebrije. Misterioso challenged Rush to a mask vs hair match again. Misterioso dreams of $$$$.
5) Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro CasasBlack Warrior, Máximo, Strong Man
1/3 for Peste Negra. Clean pins for Felino & Casas on Warrior & Maximo for the deciding fall.

Today’s AAA TV show in Mexico including a vignette posted earlier online: Jeff Jarrett going around the TNA locker room recruiting various faces and heels to come to AAA with him (and cutting some mixed promos.) People shown included Mr. Anderson, Matt Hardy, Bully Ray, AJ Styles, Beer Money, and Mick Foley, all talking about how much they’d love to go to AAA to show them Mexicans. Oddly, no Hernandez. Other odd thing is Styles & Beer Money are being advertised for a show in Buffalo the same day as TripleMania; they (or other people) seem to be promoting as appearing at a show they’re not appearing at. Maybe they’ll show up on AAA at some other part. (Third odd thing is TNA is changing it’s name next week, but I guess not in Mexico.) Still, this was a great start at introducing people.

Speaking of introducing people, this week’s SuperLuchas says CMLL will debut a new Mistico this Friday. No Mistico is listed on the card, so this would just be an introduction to the crowd. WWE will be in Mexico City on Friday, so this seems like obvious response to that. There’s no indication in the story about who the new Mistico would be. Magnus still seems the most likely person, but it seems far from the certainty it was when the new Mistico concept was still floated. CMLL themselves have made no mention of any of this.

CMLL in Japan

Haven’t seen full results from the Reina debut show yet, but this NikkanSports article does mention two of finishes:
Ayumi b Mima Shimoda [#1, CMLL WOMEN]
Amapola b Marcela [CMLL WOMEN]

I would figure these results mean Amapola is going back to Japan at some point , but Ayumi does mention wanting to come back to CMLL this summer, maybe the title shot would happen here. They’re running at least every other weekend from here on out, so Silueta and Zeuxis should be working regularly.

Rob posted video of CMLL’s tour of Japan in Feb 2000 and AAA’s tapings on 02/13 & 02/25/94.

Semimain sets up a title match next week.

Dr. Wagner Jr. talked about his Lucha Libre Premier win to NotiMex, noting “we must not allow these titles be won by foreign fighters.” Is Wagner the rudo here? I’m never sure. Anyway, I actually wanted to use this to jump off on a more important point – if AAA would not have Wagner lose in this (completely meaninglessly, to be honest) tournament, why would the have him lose the Mega title? Dr. Wagner is the big big big favorite to retain the title at Guerra de Titanes.

AAA wrote some about Mesias’ annual trip back to Puerto Rico over the winter. El Sol de Cuatutla has a story off of AAA’s press release, and the actual news here is Ricky Banderas is scheduled to face WWE’s Carlito Colon. Both Carlito and Primo get to wrestle one match a year outside WWE in Puerto Rico, so this is that match for Carlito, and AAA is billing it as a big AAA vs WWE match. Which only makes sense if Mesias is going to win.

CMLL posted a preview for Tuesday’s show on it’s news page. I suspect this is what they send out to the new agencies and we’ll see the same quotes in ESTO tomorrow.

Box Y Lucha posted 8 articles overnight again. I’m not sure all the lucha sites have figured this out yet, but the internet is actually different than publishing magazines. You don’t have to do all the articles at once – you can post something every day, because the idea is people come back often, not just once a week. There’s no extra cost for publishing daily as opposed to weekly, and then your articles won’t be dated. Crazy, I know.

Anyway, the magazine itself is all on Sin Salida, with the lineup as the cover. There had to be a better picture of Yujiro available.

– Only in CMLL do you get interviews with the programming (booking) department: Juan Manuel Mar (Panico), Franco Colombo, Jose Luis Feliciano (Guerrero del Futuro) and Edgar Noriega (?)

Their solution to low attendance: more affordable prices. Eh. They’re hoping the economy will turn around to the point where they might consider bringing in people around March, but they’re requiring all people interested (ex-AAAers specifically here), that they work as hard in the gym as the guys they currently have.

The crew feels like they’ve elevated by Valiente (maybe), Mascara Dorada (sure), Dragon Rojo (yes), Sangre Azteca (yes), Misterioso (maybe) and will try for Angel de Oro, Angel de Plata, Angel Azteca Jr., Delta, Diamante and Rouge next year. Might want to try a rudo somewhere along the line there.

There are plans to send CMLL wrestlers to Africa and South America (about time), and there are tours (to unspecified locations) in April & May. They have contacted TNA, but “they have had changes in organization and structure” and they’re waiting to see what TNA wants to do. They hope Val Venis is still coming in.

Mr. Niebla explains his double secret suspension as healing up from (unnamed) injuries. Pick a body part!

La Parka Jr. challenged Dr. Wagner Jr. The Rey de Reyes main event? (Will it be funny if AAA fans cheer Wagner over Parka too?)

Amapola says she’s been thrilled with the progress she’s made in CMLL, but is thinking about taking some time away from wrestling in a couple years to become a mother.

Pierrothito says Pierroth doesn’t need a benefit show, but a show at Arena Mexico honoring him would be a great idea. You know, CMLL is going to have like 30 pointless shows between Sin Salida and Dos Leyendas; have Pierrothito defend his title in the semimain of a fan appreciation show and just do it off that. Wouldn’t take any effort.

– Wrestlers in Neza are forming some combination of a promotion/union, calling it the Federacion de Luchadors and aiming to run weekly at Arena Neza.

Villano III reminisces about Rayo de Jalisco.

In thrilling news, I actually have the 52MX/Teleformula/AYM Sports/whatever I’m forgetting here channel package. In less thrilling news, I would’ve had it two weeks ago if Comcast had given me the package I had asked. (We’re all good now.) Didn’t start getting it until this morning, so nothing from this past weekend, but expect stuff to start turning up next weekend.

A couple more lineups…

CMLL (SUN) 12/06 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) El Divino & Thunder Boy vs Katana & Titanio
2) Magnum & Saturno vs In Memoria & Rey Trueno
3) Ángel del Mal vs Palacio Negro [OCCIDENTE WELTER]
4) Mictlán & Rouge vs Arkangel de la Muerte & Nosferatu
5) Héctor Garza, Hijo del Fantasma, La Sombra vs Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas

Angel del Mal’s first defense, nice to see they’re actually doing something with it. This is Mictlan’s first major building appearance since early October; injury? Unclear.

CMLL (THU) 12/17 Arena Xalapa [Diario de Xalapa]
1) Aguila De Plata, Caballero Ninja, Dragon De Oro, Reuno vs GMC, Guerrero Purprura, Mamba Negra, Rey Pantera Jr.

The explanation is not totally clear, but I believe they’re doing the reverse elimination rules – pin/submit someone to escape the match, and the last one left losses whatever.
