The show actually went nearly 4 hours live. (Scheduled to start at 9, didn’t start until 9:37, last update on teh show was 1:21.) They might be able to stretch this into 3 episodes if they want.

NOAH, reporting on their own title match, said the attendance was 12,000 and a sell out. NOAH hasn’t been the most accurate reporter of attendance lately.

There was a dark match between locals, which I believe was won by the rudos. That’d be the only rudo win on the night.

Crazy pinned Yuriko to win the opener.

There was a skit in the ring with Konnan, Joaquin Roldan and NOAH president to explain why there was a GHC title match on this show. Sugiura won in 8:43.

Fabi & Pimpi are the ninth mixed tag champions, and this is the third different partner Fabi’s held these titles with. Alex posted a farewell message on Twitter later, so this was probably it for him here. Pimpi kissed Alex, Alex was stunned, Fabi rolled him up.

Everyone bled in 187 match, and it sounds like everyone bled a lot. Perros del Mal facebook has a photo of Konnan, face full of blood, getting cleaned off after the match. It was one of those ‘everything and the kitchen sink’ kind of matches, except the kitchen sink was actually barbed wire. Konnan was pinned, and the recap says Konnan and Halloween were taken to the hospital. I don’t recall any mention of Konnan later in the show. After the match, Chessman attacked Nicho with a club to get revenge.

Copa Pena turned out to be a normal cibernetico, where the guy who won the match would get the cup, and the guy who finished second would lose his hair. Eliminations seemed to be really quick. It came down to Chris Stone versus Elegido, Laredo and Aerostar. Chris managed to defeat the first two, but Aero pinned him to take his hair. There was a big post match celebration with other undercard tecnicos after the win.

Both the big singles matches had seconds, which AAA hasn’t been doing lately, but they were more notable for being random people. Dr. Wagner had Aerostar with him, while Silver King had Tigre Cota. (Guess Ultimo Gladiador was on a spot show somewhere.) The seconds in this one ended up getting involved late. The title match itself was a normal match (not sure about quality, but in style compared to everything else on this show), with Copetes favoring Silver King throughout. Dr. Wagner still got the pin to keep the title, and dedicated it to his father. It seems like that storyline is closed off and they’ll be setting up a new contender.

The MT recap says Perro Jr. (seconded by Decnnis) dominated his match with Mesias (seconded by Crazy Boy) – it was tough to get a sense of reading the updates. Mesias bled, got beat up, but still powerbombed Perro thru a table in the corner for the win. Decent bit of surprise over Perro losing, but he had to have agreed to that before AAA would’ve had him win over Mesias last time. This feud probably isn’t over.

The main event may have come across a lot clearer live than it did on the internet. It kind of had to. The concept turned out to be War Games rules to enter the cage (Metal & Electroshock started with more guitar shots) and another would be added after a couple minutes, but once everyone was in the cage, you won by escaping back out. Kind of ruins the point of it.

Order of entry

1) Heavy Metal & Electroshock
2) Zorro
3) La Parka Jr.
4) LA Park
5) This was Cibernetico’s spot. His music played, he did not appear. Dorian appeared on the big screen to say Cibernetico was with his group and unidentified masked man in a Bizarros shirt walked out to ringside and watched the match.
6) Hernandez, making it now 4 on 2.
7) This was Octagon’s spot, but no Octagon. Instead, Joaquin Roldan appeared, and said he some surprise replacements…Ozz & Cuervo. I kid you not, Ozz & Cuervo making the save for the tecnicos in the main event.

There’s a school of thought that Ozz & Cuervo weren’t supposed to be the two guys here, that there were jumps or new people who were supposed to be in this spot. It’s Ozz & Cuervo, so that seems entirely reasonable. People were throwing out names on Twitter last night (Mistico, obviously), and my thought is, if there’s anything to any of those names, it’ll be confirmed pretty quick.

At this point, Octagon appeared to sit at ringside with Joaquin. A man on a motorcycle – probably the same man who attacked Octagon originally – drove to ringside and joined the cage match. Cibernetico finally appeared to make the save (not sure where he was five minutes prior) then climbed in the cage to help his team win. Order of escape is entirely unclear, but Park & Hernandez were left inside. Cibernetico and the unknown Bizarro celebrated with team AAA after the match. The motorcycle driver disappeared, so he remains a mystery (as does Cibernetico’s friend.)

AAA’s off for a couple weeks, which should give the rest of some time to digest all of this.

Poster here. Bring your magnifying glass to read the opener.

We knew most of this previously. What we didn’t know

  • Electroshock is the mystery person on the Sociedad side, which again seems to indicate the Maniacos joined up though it doesn’t seem much was written about this. Electro makes sense to continue his feud with Heavy Metal, but it does hurt the idea that Cibernetico was going to be on the rudo team. (Now, the idea is he’ll just be turning on the tecnicos again.)
  • I’ve talked around this before, but just to be clearer – Super Fly can’t actually turn in his match, because no one on his team is going to lose their masks…right? They’re running commercials for the video game with a masked Elegido, he’s probably not losing, and it’d be odd to unmasked the other guys.
  • Konnan in the 187/FdT match. I guess he would be inevitably and they just want to get his name on the poster. But it still looks odd.
  • Fabi and Pimpi as title challengers makes perfect sense – all the Alex/Pimpi wackiness actually lead somewhere. With Alex finishing up at some point in the next couple months, a title change wouldn’t be a surprise.
  • An atomicos. Yep.

Esther Moreno got the direct pinfall win on Sexi Star in her return, via two moonsaults. Genickbruch notes Sexi Star has lost every single TV match since her FCW tryout.

After the opener, Team AAA hit the ring, with Parka, Tiger, Jack, Mesias and Joaquin noted above them. Somewhere in there, we have the team for the cage match coming up in two weeks. Video rolled of Octagon, beaten and bloody, with a person who looked like Cibernetico walking away from the camera. Team AAA freaked out, with Mesias offering to work twice on the show to replace Cibernetico if he turned, and Parka vowing revenge for Cibernetico’s traitorous act. Dorian & Konnan turned up to crow about Cibernetico joining their group.

We’ll have to see how it looked on TV, but it sure reads like a fake out. Like, Cibernetico as Sting in 1996 WCW (and someone else, as Fake Sting, who actually attacked Octagon – the debut of La Roca here?) That was 14 years ago and it was really good the first time, so I’m all for it being repeated here. Plus, the natural progression of Cibernetico hanging out in the rafters for a year and not wrestling sounds fantastic.

Brazo still has Hilario & Guapito. And he lost. Tiger Cota was hurt in the match but came back. Decnnis got Gato with a cradle DDT for the win.

Aerostar is doing his dive off the top of the light tower again. I blame whoever posted that gif of him doing it last time. At least he had two people to catch it. Stones still won.

La Parka replaced Octagon, got the win with an armbar on Zorro. Electroshock put Heavy Metal in a noose and choked him during the match, which is neither enough for a DQ or a submission. Heavy Metal is tough!

Nicho was not present for the tag match. Depending on where/when you read, he’s either fired based on last week’s stip (probably not) or in the hospital after last week’s beating (probably.) This can only make more sense TV. Two beat one. When La Militia hit the ring to give Lider the same Draino treatment as Nicho last week, Nicho (in a bath robe) ran out and cleared house. This sets up a Halloween/Damian vs Nicho/Lider in a hardcore match (so, a normal match) for 10/01.

Tiger got the pin on Halloween after a shovel bit went wrong for the rudos. LA Park challenged Dr. Wagner to a mask match, which will never ever happen. I can’t wait until they do this same deal around here twice on Sunday (which, to be fair, is a usual Sunday for them.)

Heroes Inmortales is under two weeks away, and might be the next taping, so AAA’s probably days away from announcing the card. Maybe hours, since it’s sure to get leaked soon if they don’t do it. What we have:

  • Perro Aguayo Jr. vs Mesias
  • Dr. Wagner vs Silver King [AAA HEAVY] – maybe? built up with skits?
  • Elegido, Aerostar, Super Fly, Laredo Kid vs Decnnis, Billy Boy, Alan Stone, Chris Stone [winner gets Copa Antonio Pena, loser loses hair or mask]
  • Damian 666 & Halloween vs Nicho & Joe Lider [hardcore]
  • a cage match with teams that aren’t really clear but include La Parka
  • nothing else, so far

Octagoncito retained the minis title, with both seconds (Mini Charly & Mini Psicosis) getting involved.

Parka and Joaquin discussed the Legion getting the best of AAA lately, with Parka blaming Joaquin for Dorian. Joaquin said to trust him. Joaquin made a couple matches for Heroes: a cage match between the AAA Army and the Milita (no specifics) and a Parka/Cibernetico tag match against The Best of La Sociedad, though that was up to Cibernetico to agree.

Tiger & Relampago had no issues as a team. They still lost, Relampago taking a top rope powerbomb for Tiger Cota. With Relampago out of it, Decnnis threw Tiger into the front row.

Alex got Pimpinela with a spinning DDT to take that match. After, Elegido talked about wanting to win the Copa Antonio Pena and also have a apuesta match with anyone in the Militas. The Stones accepted, but we’re waiting for a contract signing.

Before the semimain, Dorian decreed 187 would be kicked out of AAA if they used a weapon, while the Legion team would not. I’m behind on AAA TV, so maybe I’ve yet to see the skit where they explain who has power when. (Probably not.) Anyway, rudos brought in a bat, Lider got a hold of it, and used for the DQ. Presumably, 187 is out of AAA. The Legion stormed the ring, Damian hitting the tecnicos with a shovel. At some point here, Lider was thrown thru a table, and the rudos poured the contents of a Draino bottle on Nicho. Tiger, Laredo, Relampago and Elegido tried to make the save, but the Militia cut them off. Parka & Mesias were able to break thru to make the save.

Main event included lots of brawling and Perro Aguayo bleeding. Alex and the Militia tried to get involved, but Joaquin warned them of the 90 day suspension and they back off. Cibernetico chokeslammed Damian 666 for the pin. Joaquin sent security to force the Perros from the ring, and then asked Cibernetico if he was with them. Cibernetico shook hands and the AAA Army celebrated on the ramp.

Cibernetico was still promising the return of Los Bizarros in an interview with Dos de Tres.

Next taping is Sunday, and could be the last taping before Hereos Inmortales. That card looks like

  • El Hijo de Perro Aguayo vs Mesias
  • Silver King vs Dr. Wagner Jr. (c) [AAA HEAVY]
  • La Parka & Cibernetico vs La Sociedad (maybe LA Park & Zorro?)
  • Torneo de Antonio Pena (includes Elegido, whatever Legion guys who aren’t in the other matches, Vampiro?)
  • Militia vs AAA [cage] (Air Force? Super Fly’s turn?)
  • probably something with the women
  • maybe Jack defends his title?

Elegido & ? vs Los Bello Stones gets held off for Guerra de Titanes.

They’ve had 6 or 7 matches on this show previously, so that’s about it. The top 5 matches have all been made clear (even if the participants have not), so they’re doing better than the last show.

Lineup from Luchas2000. Six matches? Huh.

Esther’s been occasionally appearing on spot shows since her return last August (the Fabi/Aero/Sexi/Billy cage match, where Fabi got beat up after and Esther made the save and it never went anywhere.) Typically, when Esther is around, so is Groon XXX, but there’s been no mention of him for a long time.

Brzo vs the Militia. If that match airs, it seems like the first TV match for Crazy and Gato in a while.

Third match could be really good.

I keep thinking 187 are actually the tag team champions, so I’m glad they’re getting the tag title shot. Maybe I’ll figure it out one way or another. Worth noting that Electroshock’s whole team is listed as The Society; that seems to tip that the Maniacos are joining the super rudo faction and might get a little extra help in their title match.

Wagner, in a match. Hooray. Assuming they’re running a title match on Heroes Inmortales IV, they probably should be setting it up here – maybe Wagner vs Park.

Not an arena I’m familiar with. Some googling points to an Al Filo del Ring recap of an AAA show here two years ago; guessing from the pictures that this is in the 2,000 range, maybe less. Boxing and rock concerts there besides the usual community leagues.

Main event is a (sort of) rematch from Verano de Escandalo. Special stip for the match is, if anyone runs in the main event, they’re suspended for 90 days.  The way I see it, X-Fly has nothing to lose. Team AAA’s internal problems will probably be enough on their own.

Hernandez probably hoping to make some progress on his mission of destroying 187.

Elegido’s on the card, so someone does still remember he’s feuding with the Stones.

THEY’RE FOLLOWING UP ON RELAMPAGO COSTING EXTREME TIGER THE MATCH AT TRIPLEMANIA! Three months! It took them three months to be in the same match, and they’re still not even facing off.

Title match was set up way back on the Expo show; Mini Histeria beat Octagoncito, proclaimed to his buddies that he was going to win the title, and his buddies laughed at him behind his back. Last taping had a minis match, had Octagoncito & Histeria participating, and probably should’ve led directly into this, but neither guy was involved into the finish. Maybe it’ll make more sense when it airs.
