Match 1: Bengala & Metatrón vs Cholo & Zayco
Arena Mexico, 12/10/2013

  1. técnicos

  2. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-0)
Match Time: 11:12
Rating: below average/okay
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra.

1: Pairs are Metatron/Zayco and Bengala/Cholo and not much in depth.. Metatron's handspring back elbow is not a beautiful thing, but he tries hard to look very excited and get a reaction. Standard first fall with submission on the second time thru. Cholo and Bengal appear to blow their finish the first time thru (or Bengal aborts because they're too close to the ropes), and then go right to the pinfall 1anyway.

2: Bengala armdrags everything. Rudos take over on a clean Zayco shoulderblock because this is 1974. Cholo tries biting Bengala thru his mask. Zayco has a good leaping double knee smash on Metatron, but misses another to take the knee bump out. Wait, comeback already? Metatron hands off to Bengala, who spinebsuters Cholo and bridges for a two count. Tirabuzón cradle also gets two. Bengala dropkicks Cholo tot hr opes but not out, then runs for a bodyscissors that take them both to the floor. Metatron and Zayco back in, Metatron sunset flips and small package for near falls. Zayclone on, but Bengala breaks it up with a dropkick. Cholo back for him, Bengala springboard twisting sunset flip for another two count, then a Cholo suplex reversed into a small package for another two. Bengala spinebuster Cholo again, goes for a submission, and Cholo pulls his mask for some reason. That's the match.

Match 2: Metálico, Molotov, Sensei vs Disturbio, Hijo del Signo, Nosferatu
Arena Mexico, 12/10/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos

  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:18
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Pompin.

1: Pairs are Sensei/Nosferatu, Molotov/Signo, and Metálico/Disturbio (so they're not even bothering to do Metálico/Signo HERE.) Someone hits the wrong switch and the lights start changing colors as if during an entrance, and this goes on for about 15 seconds before someone fixes it. Metálico and Disturbio gamely try to ignore it, but it's pretty tough for the rest of us. Metálico almost slips on the run up the ropes armdrag, but keeps it together. He runs to the ropes to get Disturbio more, but Signo trips him (ha!) and then submits Sensei quickly. Nosferatu catches Molotov on a plancha and spins him for a slam. Disturbio gives Metálico his knee smash on the outside just to get it in.

2: Corner charges on Molotov. Rudos don’t do much interesting. Metalico starts nailing the rudos on the apron every time Nosferatu this him, which works until the rudos just decide to stomp him down. Nosferatu gets tripped up by the other two técnicos going for a dropkick, and the other técnicos karate and armdrag their way in. Sensei comes up way short on a second pump kick to Nosferatu. Sensei boosts Molotov into a huracanrana on Nosferatu and Metálico tries to help cover, but of course they won't count it that way. Metálico is angry but he should probably know the stupid rule by now. Nosferatu is captain for god knows what reason.

3: Sensei and Disturbio do the comedy karate block spots, which plays to both guys strengths well. Metálico celebrates by doing a pump kick and bowing. Metálico runs thru Nosferatu with headscissors, and Nosferatu is unusually angry about it. Molotov gets of the ground about an inch on a jumping armdrag with Signo. Everyone hits everyone, Metálico misses a charge to nowhere, Nosferatu spears him, Disturbio gets in his double knees (again), and Signo finishes with the top rope splash. BOOOOO.

Match 3: Fuego, Soberano Jr., Stigma vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Sangre Azteca
Arena Mexico, 12/10/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos

  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 17:27
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Tirantes.

1: Hooligan and Fuego do some fun spots to start off. Crowd is strangely loud for Soberano coming in – because it's Soberano and because they're loud for anything at all. He and Sangre don't do anything out of the ordinary. Stigma and Arkangel, with a very Hooligan like mask, are last and keep it more on the mat than usual for the third pairing. Arkangel tags in Hooligan, who continues putting Stigma in holds but does start rope running. Hooligan and Stigma are iffy for a bit, and Hooligan traps Stigma in the corner in a time killing holding. Arkangel and Fuego take center stage, Arkangel back elbows hooligan out, and Soberano dropkicks Arkangel out. Soberano tries a run up the ropes plancha on Sangre, but runs right into a Sangre counter dropkick and that's the fall.

2: Sangre goes after Soberano with slaps to the faces and punches, so apparently they think they have something here. Crowd is not booing Sangre as much as you'd think. Rudos work over Fuego, though tying him in the ropes for a Hooligan dropkick takes unusual effort. Sangre lets Fuego make a tag to Stigma, hits Stigma goes he can go in., then pulls him in anyway. Camera zooming in and out on every chop is more annoying. Low blow dropkick, check. Fuego leads Hooligan into a Sangre dropkick to turn it around, and the cheers come back after the rudos are all lined up for a big Soberano top rope splash. Stigma adds one of his own, the técnicos all pile on, and apparently this is leg after it wasn't legal last match. Rudos kick out anyway. Técnicos kick them all out, and all do tope con giros (though not at the same time.) Tecnicos make it back in, rudos do not. Countout win, which the crowd actually notices.

3: Fuego both poses with the card girl and goes thru Arkangel quick. Dueling flipping runs by Soberano and Hooligan, and Soberano easily flips on a Hooligan clothesline. Soberano rallies back and slingshot headscissors Soberano on the floor, then poses for his fans. Stigma's ready to go with Sangre Azteca, but Sangre stalls for some reaction, then dramaticlly slaps Stigma for a slow chop fight. Stigma fights back with tricky armdrags. Sangre tries to be the one who monkey flips, but Stigma lands on his feet and avoids a charge. Sangre throws himself out and Stigma – leaps into Sangre's feet for some reason. Not the best técnico plan. Other técnicos whip the other rudos into each other and try to put on the Star, but are quick stopped. Headscissors rolls by the técnicos, but only for two. Soberano tries to get people to cheer, but they only do it when they come in. Rudos técnicos urn into Rudo finishes, and that's that. Arkangel randomly puts Soberano in La Nieblina.

Match 4: Blue Panther, Shocker, Thunder vs Felino, Mr. Águila, Tiger
Arena Mexico, 12/10/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos

  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:01
Rating: below average/ok
Notes: Referee is Pompin. Mije is with the rudos.

1: Tiger and Shocker start off, but it's a lot of rudo interference and Tiger walking out. Felino takes it seriously so his battle with Blue Panther is much better but also ended by Shocker/Tiger ending. Putting Aguila and Thunder together is someone's idea of a joke and doesn’t last long before Thunder just beat up all the rudos, then all the rudos beat up everyone. Tiger high and superkicks Shocker many times then finishes him with a casita.

2: Shocker gets in his Stunner, but more superkicks. Thunder faceslam two of the rudos, Felino kicks him, and panther puts Felino in an ankle lock for a quick submission. Panther doesn’t let go until after the five count but it's not a DQ because it's not a DQ. Shocker chases Tiger around.

3: Showcases go Shocker, Panther, then Shocker again. They don’t trust Thunder with anything more than catching Aguila, then pressing him into a front slam. Shocker submits Tiger without much trouble.

Shocker tries to get Panther to do his strut post match. Panther sort of does it, sort of does a hip swivel

Stellar Moments

El Castigo: Pequeño Nitro hammerlock frontcracker on Aereo

El Llave: Fuego Armbar on Cancerbero

La Combination: Guerrero Mara tope giro, Delta ringpost tope con giro, Stuka torpedo splash

El Rudo: Titan leaps into a Pólvora dropkick

El Tecnico: Titan ramp tope con giro

Match 5: Diamante Azul, La Sombra, Máximo vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Mr. Niebla, Rey Escorpión
Arena Mexico, 12/10/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos

  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:20
Rating: ok/good
Notes: Máximo is first out. Rey Esocprion tries to sneak attack him, fails, and still ends up beating Máximo up. Azul is unaware, sees Niebla and Dragon Rojo walking to the ring in front of him, and figures out he might want to hurry up a bit. Niebla loiters around the stage waiting for Sombra, but Sombra's not coming out until they play his music, and they don't play his music. Sombra gives up after a while. Referee is Tirantes.

1: Brawling beatdown with Máximo and Escorpion in the most time. Escorpion submits Máximo without much problem. Rudos keep putting Máximo in holds anyway. Sombra takes his back flip over the barricade. Tirantes finally gives them the fall.

2: Rudos beatdown lasts a couple more minutes until Máximo headscissors Escorpion to start it. Sombra does the Devitt (?) dropkick senton spot, setting Niebla into a Azul German suplex for that pin while beating Dragon Rojo himself. Announcers go crazy for that. Escorpion runs away from Máximo. Sombra spanks poor Zacarias.

3: Niebla is monkey flipped around and dives into the crowd. Maximo is next, messing with Dragon Rojo before the big standoff with Escorpion. Escorpion walks on him. Sombra gets in his moves before they get back to Escorpion, and Sombra does his moves to Escorpion instead of tagging in Máximo like normal. This turns out to be the plan – Sombra backspring headscissors Escorpion out, Escorpion runs to avoid the dive, and Máximo planchas him instead. Sombra revers springboard into a Dragon Rojo dropkick, but surprises him with a small package anyway for a pin. Niebla shoves Sombra out, then clothesline Azul and does his dance. Azul cuts him off before the spit with a dropkick and topes Niebla. Escorpion and Máximo back in one last time, Máximo double jump huracanrana for two. Kiss of death, one two three.

Máximo calls Escorpion by his pet name again and his microphone is very echoy. Máximo wants a hair match. Rey Escorpion responds back with a lot of echos, but the announcers explain Escorpion offers a title match first an apuesta match maybe later.

Announcers wrap up.
