Match 1: Metálico & Molotov vs Disturbio & Guerrero Negro Jr.
Arena Mexico, 12/03/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos

  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:49
Rating: below average
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra.

1: Pairs are Molotov/ Guerrero Negro and Metálico/Disturbio. Negro has new nice gear. Disturbio counter dropkick spots does not go well – I'm not sure it is a dropkick. Disturbio adds a splash, getting the pin without making a tag. Disturbio sets up Molotov for Guerrero Negro's finish.

2: Rudos dominate for the first couple of minutes until they literally put themselves in position for a Molotov headscissors/armdrag on both of them. Like, they even move close to the ropes so they have enough room to take the bump, it's very generous. Molotov flips around gets kicked down, and boosted Metálico into armdrag and dropkick. Negro stands in the corner and watches as Metálico powerbombs Disturbio for one pin, then comes back to life so Molotov can submit him.

3: Metálico and Disturbio have trouble with a headscissors in the ring and do better on a diving one off the apron. Molotov quickly sheds Negro. Metálico chops Disturbio and nearly beats him on a sunset flip. They struggle finishing a huracanrana and Negro breaks it up before it's complete. Negro suplexes Metálico for a near fall, no break up. Negro yells at the referee, small packages Metálico, and still can only get two. Metálico rolls out and Negro comes in, spinebustering Negro and bridging forward for a two count. Disturbio rips up Molotov from outside and Negro dropkicks him out, allowing Metálico to come back in for a plancha on Negro. There's no reaction to any of these near falls. Or much of anything. I think there's a card out there, but I can't really tell. Rudos get it together, Disturbio lands the double knees to the face on Metálico for one pin and Negro cradle suplexes Molotov for the other

Random En Busca de Un Idolo Season 2 promo. They still have the original May date of season 2 starting. I have no idea what that means.

Match 2: Pequeño Halcón, Shockercito, Último Dragoncito vs Demus 3:16, Mercurio, Pierrothito
Arena Mexico, 12/03/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos

  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:51
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Tigre Hispano.

1: Paris are Halcón/Mercurio, Dragoncito/Pierrothito and Shockercito/Demus. Halcón gets the better of an otherwise even exchange with a headscissors on the mat. Halcón backs in to the corner expecting someone to high five him, but Dragoncito waits for him tot turn around and stands there waiting for the tag while Halcón is on the apron. They get it worked out. Dragoncito throws Pierroth around with an incredibly loose headscissors. They exchange armdrags and shoves. Demus is into muscle posing and is big enough to spin Shockercito out on a shoulderblocks. Chops and biting. Shockercito ducks a clothesline and casadora armdrags Demus to the ropes. Shockercito with some revenge hairpull. Whip, reversed, Shocker double – triple rotating headscissors on Demus. Demus is back. Demus out, Shockercito goes up, Pierrothito trips up the técnicos and Mercurio blasts him with a dropkick. Halcón in, flying armdrag (almost on the mat while doing an armdrag.) Mercurio Storm on Halcón, Pierrothito armdrags Dragoncito into a a mecedora variant for the other submission.

2: Shockercito is blasted off the ropes onto the ramp with a low blow dropkick. Halcón takes a flapjack and a monkey flip into a superkick. Dragoncito avoids corner charges to start the comeback, running Pierrothito and Demus into each other, then taking them out with 1 on 2 moves. Mercurio puts a stop to it with a dropkick, Halcón springboard dropkicks him, then trips him up to set up the rolling tapatía. Halcón barely has Mercurio up before he takes him down, so it works out that Mercurio gives up quick (though may not before Halcón lets go.) Shockercito avoids Pierrothito, then pulls him into a casadora cradle for the other pin.

3: Halcón and Pierrothito doing flip based avoidance sets up Mercurio dropkicks and not much more. Dragoncito quickly takes care of Mercurio and Demus, but the rudos trip him up going for a dive. Mercurio kicks down Shockercito, but he evades and set up a Halcón dropkick on both Pierrothito and Mercurio. Técnicos tease dives, jump to the apron and get tripped up. Dive ban! Demus hits Dragoncito questionably low and drops him on his head with the Rush Driver, but the impact is obscured by a giant graphic. It still gets three.

Match 3: Dark Angel, Estrellita, Marcela vs Amapola, Dalys, Princesa Blanca
Arena Mexico, 12/03/2013

  1. tecnicas

  2. rudas

  3. técnicas

Winner: técnicas
Match Time: 12:46
Rating: ok/good
Notes: Referee is Tirantes.

1: Dark Angel and Dallys start right off, with Dark Angel wining the exchange via rope grab flipping armdrag. Blanca surprises Estrellita with a superkick and throws her around by her hair Blanca misses a corner charge, and Estrellita sends her out with a flying armdrag. Amapola throws Marcela down by the back of her head, but Marcela double springboard into a dropkick. Marcela follows with a tope con giro of the apron to take out Amapola. Other rudas get the best of the other técnicas, but the técnicas reverse their finishing moves into cradles for the win.

2: Dalys crushes Dark Angel with jumping double knees in the corner, but misses the follow up after a choke and Dark Angel gets in her own knee smash. Reverse springboard dropkick sends Dalys out. Amapola crushes Marcela with a dropkick, then gets into a messy chop fight with Estrellita. Corner charges on Estrellita as the rudas take over the fall. Blanca and Dallys try a fireman's drop into a high kick double team – kick aim could use some work, but it's a good idea. Estrellita is back in and kicked out. Double spinebuster for Marcela, and both técnicas land sentons on her. Amapola has just been hanging out in the corner. Blanca rakes her elbow in Marcela's head. Amapola gets in the flying sit on Dark Angel. Double boot for Dalys, and Estrellita dropped hard by a press spinebuster for one pin. Don't know if Estrellita is actually hurt, but that looked viscous and she's slow to roll out. Daly's scorpion on Dark Angle is a lot safer. Marcela checks on and rubs Estrellita on the outside, and Karla mocks Estrellita. her.

3: Corner charges for Marcela. Estrellita's thrown around by her hair. Dalys tries a sort of reverse powerslam on Dark Angel. That one needs a lot more work. Marcela's beaten up as she comes in, but gets a foot up on a corner whip. Dalys drops to her knees, Marcela tries to boost off of her to something, but she gets no boost and ends up jumping only very slightly for a shoves. Crowd boos. Marcela drops to her knees, and Dark Angel lands a much better boost dropkick on Dallys. Dark Angel takes Dalys outside to post her, and the ring clears out of all rudas. Estrellita teases a run up the ropes plancha, drops back down, then climbs up to land a plancha. Couldn't tell if she lost her balance or if the rudas were just not ready for the first try. Dalys misses a clothesline but still dropkicks Marcela out. No problem, Dark Angel pulls her in to the reinera. Angel starts to pin, Dalys escapes, into an inside cradle, very obviously grabbing the ropes. Well, very obviously to everyone but Tirantes, who's looking down instead of at the pin and misses it.

Marcela is furious, and Amapola cradle inside her for the other pin.

Dalys mock cries for the tecnicas, then gets into a shoving match with Dark Angel. They cut away from this because it's way too exciting. Replay use the worst angle possible to show the rope grab, then get a slightly better one on the second try.

Stellar Moments

El Castigo: Hombre Bala Jr. double knee smash on Artillero

Lo Doloroso: Shockercito hard dropkick onto the apron

El Tecnico: Diamante Azul German suplex on Tama Tonga

El Triunfo: Ultimo Guerrero Atlantida on Atlantis

Lo Espectacular: triple tope con giro by the Estetas del aire

Match 4: Blue Panther ©, La Máscara, Thunder vs Terrible ©, Tiger, Vangellys
Arena Mexico, 12/03/2013

  1. TRT

  2. técnicos

  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 13:38
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Babe Richards. They cut out the sound, but you can see Panther and Terrible acknowledging being announced as captain (which makes it weirder to have the sound cut.) Comandante is with the TRT team.

1: Terrible and Panther start with mat wrestling. Terrible is more angry with Babe Richard the rudos when the referee tells him not to go after the guys on the apron, and that just leads to tags. Mascara armdrags Tiger into boredom. TRT helpfully break that up with stomps. Máscara goes right back to put on a figure four, and the referee is ineffective in stopping the rudos. Rudos start the beatdown there (which saves them from having to let Thunder in.) Terrible takes care of the bigger técnico on the outside, while the other rudos take care of the técnicos on the inside. Tiger smacks Panther with a superkick, then submits him to take the fall.

2: Vangellys keeps a desperate Panther form making a tag, and bites his foot while holding an ankle lock. Terrible yanks around Panther's leg, bu then lets him tag out anyway. Máscara tries to exchange chops and just gets lapped and punched. Tiger superkicks Máscara, who starts to lave but gets brought back. Tiger sets up Máscara for a second superkick, and brings Máscara back from tagging again to hand him over to Vangellys. This match is about 8 minutes long and they still haven't let Thunder in. Terrible bits Mascara's mask. Vangellys misses a corner charge and Máscara boost dropkicks Terrible, then quebradoras Tiger to start a one man comeback. Vangellys misses a clothesline and Terrible topes Terrible (or at last his hands. ) everyone in, and técnicos win in seconds, which again limits the time Thunder has to screw up – and yet he still almost blows a jackhammer on Tiger. Meanwhile, Panther can't get Vangellys off the mat on a nudo lagunero. Replay is so great. Terrible gets thrown over the barricade in between falls

After the break replay shows Thunder punched Terrible over the rail

3: Those two start. Thunder is impervious chops but slightly thru by kicks. He's horrible at shoulderblocks. Crowd boos Thunder so much and it seems to annoy him. Comandante tries to help out and it actually works until she holds Thunder. Panther wants to strip for some reason, but they put a stop to it. He ends up faceslamming Vangellys. Terrible misses with Panther, takes a plancha and misses a charge out. No dive. Mascara won't shake Tiger's hand, which very much annoys Tiger but not the crowd. Rolling dropkick sends Vangellys out. Terrible misses a plancha and takes the running kick to the face. Máscara goes for the dive, but Vangellys gets in his wheel kick. Panther grabs Vangellys, but Tiger grabs him. Whip, double boot sends Panther out. Thunder in and running the rudos out, and getting in his tope con giro onto both of them. Mascara and Terrible back in, Mascara does the usual Máscara things, campana, and over.

Match 5: Atlantis ©, Máximo, Shocker vs Mr. Niebla ©, Negro Casas, Rey Escorpión
Arena Mexico, 12/03/2013

  1. técnicos

  2. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-0)
Match Time: 9:05
Rating: OK
Notes: Maximo's first out, and Rey Escorpion is right after him to beat him up. Shocker gets his entrance anyway, and has no idea that Mr. Niebla is walking right behind him. Mr. Niebla is slow enough that Shocker eventually spots him. Negro and Zacarias walk out and ring announcer (Ivan) announces the captains, but Atlantis is no where to be seen. I think he's waiting for his music still to play, then finally gives up when it doesn't. Start the time when he shows up, because there's never a whistle. Referee is Tiger Hispano.

1: Brawling beat down, with Escorpion messing up Máximo while the other four kill time. Escorpion repeatedly smacking Maximo's head into the barricade is good. Negro hugs Tiger Hispano to hide Niebla's cheating. Triple boot for Shocker. Negro bites Máximo on the backside. Maximo avoids a corner charge and clotheslines Escorpion to turn the match around after about 4 minutes of beatdown (and maybe 1.5 before the whistle.) Quebradoras for everyone. Shocker and Niebla face off, but Escorpion clocks Shocker before he does anything. (Shocker wasn't looking to do anything, so that helps). Máximo does the block everything set up and the kiss of death, but the rudos break it up. Rudos clear out the técnicos and keep stomping and kicking Máximo until Tigre Hispano starts the 10 count. Escorpion shoves Hispano, Hispano shoves him and calls the fall.

Rudos go back to beating up Máximo, with Escorpion knocking Maximo out via punches to the face.

2: Negro holds shocker in various submissions while Escorpion beats up Máximo outside. Niebla takes a turn, but prefers to punch more. They all leave when Mr. Niebla and Escorpion n come in. Escorpion taunts a little too much and Máximo gets has time to jump and thru hands at him. Negro has to save Escorpion's life, but helpfully holds Máximo for more Escorpion shots. Rudos stomp Máximo down the corner, Zacarias even getting in shots. Máximo makes the comeback with the charge in to his butt, as always, and Negro whips him into a tope on Escorpion. Negro kicks around Shocker, but Shocker pulls him into a reinera anyway. Negro holds out, then gives up.

Shocker and Niebla trade slaps, Shocker urns into a spinebsuter and a Niebla. Pose as Shocker gives.

Atlantis misses a dropkick, Niebla misses a clothesline. Atlantis dropkicks Niebla out and topes him. Feuding pair back in. Escorpion clotheslines Máximo as we look at the crowd. Clothesline again, third misses, Máximo tries for his kiss, Escorpion blocks, Máximo huracanrana one two three. Máximo is thrilled.

Negro is quick to back, but Escorpion stops in his path when Máximo calls him “Chiquito”. Máximo says he's won twice now as Escorpion gets more upset. Máximo keeps calling Escorpion Chiquito while talking about wanting him to sing for the mask match. Escorpion yells that he doesn’t want anyone to call him Chiquito, which has the intended effect. Rey Escorpion says he won't sign a contract, and finds a fan to chant his own name. Máximo says he called Escorpion Chiquito when they lived together. Rey Escorpion says he's not going to sign if people keep calling him that, but seems to want to do it today. He talks to the commissioner, who of course is not okay with that.

Announcers wrap up, very amused by the Chiquito name and mentioning Sombra back on next week's show.
