Recapped: 11/16/2013

Match 1: La Máscara, Rush, Shocker vs Tama Tonga, Terrible, Vangellys
Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, 11/05/2013

  1. TRT
  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:15
Rating: ok
Notes: Hey, not a tercera! Possibly not better. Referee is Edgar.

1: Tama Tonga & La Mascara on the mat turns into a rudos beatdown after a couple minuets, when the rudos decide to break up holds and win the ensuing fight. Vangellys pins Shocker after Rush has been slapped into the crowd. Announcers, watching this match on tape, do not know who the captain is and do not redo the voiceover to correct themselves, but do just admit they were wrong. Tama just does a normal suplex to win.

2: Shocker tries to claim a foul on an Tama elbow drop to the chest, then Tama battles to keep him in the ring. Mascara reaches in for the tag, but Rush tells him not to bother. It's not Rush remembering he's feuding with Shocker, because he runs in and breaks up the hold himself (which gets him stomped.) Rush starts the comeback off heads down too soon, and he and Terrible battle back into the crowd.

3: Mascara starts the showcases. Rush is next, but Terrible walks out on him, so Shocker does his bits next. Yes, he gives someone stunner and his teammate dropkicks him in the head by mistake for the 200th straight match. Rush and Terrible brawl last. Rush slips ramping up for the big corner dropkick and doesn't hit as hard, but does work very hard at making faces at the crowd. Mascara topes Vangelis, Shocker put a hold on Tama Tonga as an alternative, and they're collared out of the way just the same for Rush and Terrible. Rush submits Terrible, holding on just short of being disqualified.

Promo with the rudos is shown for some reason. Pierroth tells the quiet crowd to be quiet because that's his line.

Match 2: Atlantis, Blue Panther, Super Porky vs Niebla Roja, Pierroth, Tama Tonga
Arena Coliseo, 11/10/2013

  1. rudos
  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:58
Rating: below average
Notes: Referee is Pompin.

1: Highlight of the early going is Panther using Porky as a battering ram to knock Pierroth off the apron. Low light is the concept of Pierroth and Porky feuding. Crowd chants loudly for Porky until the absolute second they lock up. Rudos jump in for the beatdown two falls in a row. Just as Pompin talks the rudos back to the corner, Panther gives up to a tirabuzón. That was pointless.

2: Beatdown occurs. Rudo use Porky as a ram on the técnicos, only Niebla Roja gets pulled in front for a plash tot urn it around. Splash on Porky to take the fall.

3: Panther and Mephisto do a double duck down by accident, and Mephisto fakes a foul without even being touched. That's where this match is. Atlantis quebradoras Niebla Roja repeatedly. Porky bely bumps Pierroth around ringside and splashes him on the outside.

Rudos – or just Mephisto – complain about the loss.

Estetas talk about the main event.

And so the guys in the main event.

Match 3: Máscara Dorada, Mistico, Valiente vs Gran Guerrero, Mr. Niebla, Último Guerrero
Arena Coliseo, 11/10/2013

  1. rudos
  2. Estetas
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:30
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra.

1: Niebla gets into an argument with taunting fans, then attacks the técnicos while the others are starting. That makes three for three for matches which have started the same way. Rudos dominate the fall.

2: Usual rudo beatdown goes wrong with the rebound double hiptoss on Valiente. It goes wrong because Niebla and GG have Trouble with the spot, and it goes wrong because the rudos accidentally hit UG instead. Dorada and Místico take out the rudos so set up a tope and a tope con giro, and Valiente submits UG quickly.

Místico grabs his right knee on the floor and is checked on for a while, but continues the match.

3: JCR talks about the entire crowd cheering for Místico when half the crowd is clearly chanting a naughty word at him. Everyone can hear it, why bother lying about it. Místico gets the best of Ultimo Guerrero, Zacarais gets in a 619 on Dorada but Niebla falls for the corner fakes, and Valiente and Gran Guerrero do nothing but the dive. Rudos win, which is only not imminent because it takes Niebla some time to get up the corner.

Rudos celebrate.
