CMLL Guerreros del Ring on 52MX #411 (10/05/2013)
Recapped: 10/15/2013

A match from Guadalajara! Because someone thought we needed another one of these really quick, I guess.

Match 1: Estrellita vs Amapola for the Mexican National Women's Championship
Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, 09/24/2013

  1. Amapola Devil's Wings (3:26)
  2. Estrellita small package (2:58)
  3. Estrellita head crank armbar (5:15)

Winner: Estrellita (2-1)
Match Time: 11:39
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Willy el Loco, if I'm remembering my Guadalajara referee names right. It's been a while. Attendance looks good on some sides, not as good on others. Hard camera seems higher (and pointed more directly down on the ring) than I remember, but the building also seems a lot brighter.

1: Mat wrestling and cradles and near falls but nothing much accomplished. Estrellita is slow up from an armdrag. Amapola ties up Estrellita, Estrellita escapes to an armdrag, Amapola escapes the casadora, they both kind of run into each other, Devil's Wings one two three.

2: This match picks up with the last one left off, with the two running into each other awkwardly. They chop each other, then Estrellita runs and jumps into Amapola's dropkick. Amapola pulls Estrellita down on the back of her head, and leans on chants for herself. Trip on the ropes, shaking Estrellita's head, and landing her running sit. One two NO. Amapola misses a corner charge, Estrellita ducks her, drops her by her head, goes up top, and jumps into an armdrag. Estrellita off the ropes, waved by, headscissors sends Amapola out. Estrellita tease a dive, but dances instead and gets her own chant going. Estrellita waits for Amapola to come back in, and she's in no hurry. Estrellita runs, misses a plancha and take a dropkick to the face. Amapola covers, one two Estrellita has the ropes with her hand. Whip, spinebuster, crowd is chanting something at each other, Amapola leg lock turn into Estrellita small package for three.

3: Estrellita misses a charge, meets a dropkick. Amapola whip, reverses, and Estrellita slides past to trip Amapola out. Estrellita back on the apron, hopping around, and jumping off with a running plancha. Replays of that. Amapola throws Estrellita near the seats so she can get in first. Amapola tries a turnbuckle smash, Estrellita blocks it and sends Amapola in. Top rope plancha, rolled thru, two count for Amapola. Amapola small package one two NO. Amapola clothesline misses, Estrellita inside cradle. (Announcers confirm the ref's name!) Estrellita crucifix cradle, still two. Both women are looking very winded. Estrellita with punches, which seemed illegal. Whip, Amapola spinebuster, reverse figure four! That's not quite how Estrellita does it, but the effect is the same. Not only does Amapola have the hold on, he got a foot pushing on Estrellita's backside. That can't feel good. Estrellita gets to the ropes. Amapola kicks Estrellita, reaches down, pulls her up by her hair, Estrellita breaks away and puts on a fujiwara. Amapola is in trouble, but squirms to the rope and get an arm on there. Estrellita won't let go, and risk DQ. She finally does. Off the ropes, casadora, Estrellita struggles putting on her own hold and Amapola kicks her off. Estrellita bounces back into Amapola, who forces her to turn around and DDTs her. Whip, reversed, reversed again, Amapola big spinebuster one two NO. Amapola misses a clothesline, Estrellita does not mis hers. Dropkick added on, one two NO. Estrellita angrily stomps Amapola, off the ropes, into Amapola's spear. Amapola hard dropkick to the side, but no pin. She says this is it. Amapola fireman's drops Estrellita in the corner. Amapola going up the middle rope, elbow drop misses! Estrellita with her new hold, the one where it looks like she has no idea what she's doing and then suddenly the move is on. Amapola gives, and that's it.

Estrellita gets her belt and takes off her shirt. It seemed like a situation where she may have been concerned about falling out of her wrestling top (because she's barely in it to begin with) but Estrellita makes sure to jump around so who knows.

Vangellys and Ultimo Guerrero hype the next match. Tiger is busy elsewhere, I guess.

Match 2: Blue Panther, Shocker, Thunder vs Tiger, Último Guerrero, Vangellys
Arena Coliseo, 09/29/2013

  1. técnicos
  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:36
Rating: below average/okay
Notes: Referee is Terror Chino.

1: Pairs are Thunder/Vangellys, Tiger/Panther, and UG/Shocker. They do the UG/Shocker spot, Shocker clotheslines UG and nails him with a tope. Tecnicos immediately take the fall.

2: Thunder whiffs amazingly bad on an armdrag, then takes it out on Vangellys with an extra hard clothesline to the face. Panther clotheslines Tiger from corner to corner, then drops him on his face. UG takes over the match by distracting Shocker into an attack from behind by Vangellys. Tiger does the flying sit onto Shocker. Rudos double suplex Thunder and Tiger adds a top rope splash for three. Tiger gets the pin on Panther too, with Vangellys not helping as much as he's thinking.

3: Shocker avoids a corner charge after about 90 seconds and Shocker and Panther brawl with everyone while Thunder just takes a nap in the corner. I have no idea what he's doing but neither does he so it's all good. UG takes the knee bump out, but the other rudos cut of this dive and knock him out of the ring. Head down too soon, Panther faceslams one, and Panther clotheslines the other. Rudos recover to pull Panther out, but Thunder knocks down the rudos with his tope con giro. UG and Shocker left in, Shocker gets the reinera without much of a problem.

Post match promos are highlighted by Shocker strutting around

La Mascara & Místico talk about the next match. I assume Atlantis and Tiger are playing video games together.

Match 3: Atlantis, La Máscara, Mistico vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Rey Escorpión
Arena Coliseo, 09/29/2013

  1. Revolucionarios
  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:19
Rating: ok
Notes: Rudos jump the técnicos. Referee is Tigre Hispano.

1: Brawling and mask pulling. Corner charges on Mascara. Mistico's whipped into a dropkick, everyone sentons him, and that's enough for the pin.

2: Rudos remain in control and remain beating down the técnicos. Rudos set up a careta on Mascara, and Místico breaks it up with a springboard headscissors on Escorpion. Místico slips the other two and tope con giros Escorpion. Other técnicos immediately gets pinfalls.

3: Atlantis showcase includes quebradoras for everyone. Místico shows off tricky headscissors with Rey Escorpion, which is the right person to do them with. Mascara headscissors and armdrags his way thru the rudos. Mascara nearly beats each guy before someone else breaks the pin. Pólvora puts a stop to that with a Pólvora Driver, but Mascara just kicks out of it and tags out. Did Atlantis forget to break up the pin? I dunno. This turns into pin break ups instead. Both rudos break up the the pin after a standing on the top rope headscissors by Místico on Escorpion, then bumble into a Místico headscissors. Atlantis dropkick Pólvora, waits for Escorpion to come back in, and puts him in the Atlantida easily. Místico gets the campana on Pólvora with no problem. Místico and Dragon Rojo runs into each other on La Mistica, but work it out for the staggered triple submission.
