CMLL Guerreros del Ring on 52MX #409 (09/21/2013)
Recapped: 10/02/13

And now, the weirdness of recapping matches I saw live.

Quick interviews with Estrellita and Sugheit. JCR tries to give Sugheit away her plan, but no one here really has a plan.

Match 1: Estrellita vs Princesa Sugheit for the Mexican National Women's Championship
Arena Mexico, 09/15/2013

  1. Princesa Sugheit pendulum backbreaker (2:29)
  2. Estrellita small package (2:08)
  3. Estrellita bridging backslide (6:23)

Winner: Estrellita (2-1)
Match Time: 11:00
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra.

1: Sugheit has the better of Estrellita in the early moments. Estrellita holds Sugheit down but can't really do much with her. Estrellita kip up armdrag is not pretty, and Sugheit takes control of the arm anyway. Sugheit knocks Estrellita down, Estrellita comes back with an armdrag, repeat. Estrellita gets a bad headscissors, misses on the reverse plancha, and Sugheit submits her to the pendulum backbreaker.

2: Move turn taking – clotheslines and kicks. Sugheit takes over after one, and gets in her slingshot senton form the apron. Estrellita tells Sugheit to cover her and she does, but it doesn't get two. Spinning fireman's carry drop for two. Spinebuster, kick to the chest, feed into an Estrellita cradle – wait, that seems a bad idea, and it's a bad enough to get her pinned.

3: Joined with Sugheit missing a corner charge and being rolled up for two. Corner charge, Estrellita almost wiping herself out on a corner clothesline, then running Sugheit the other way to pull her around the post and dropkick Sugheit out. Estrellita follows with a running plancha off the apron. Sugheit rallies back just enough to set up an Estrellita plancha, and she rolls thru that too for two. Small package one two NO. There's no more reaction for the near falls on TV there was live (none). Casadora cradle back and forth, no one gets anything out of it. Sugheit walks thru some spots and gets back to her kicks. Sugheit tries the same leg lock as the first fall and gets it this time, an inverted Indian deathlock with a facelock. It's a every tough hold which only last for a couple seconds before Estrellita gets the ropes. Sugheit doesn't break the leg part and hooks the arms, but Estrellita is not giving up. Sugheit keeps putting on holds, and no one reacts. More near falls. Sugheit herself doesn't seem to be too into this match. Sugheit gets Estrellita in a hold like the one she won with (but exactly it) and the crowd does some what care the long they get into it. Estrellita turns it around by escaping a corner charge, though she's back to dodging punches before they're thrown. Sugheit takes an armdrag, and gets right up to put Estrellita in her hold, Estrellita escapes, then struggles to put on a backslide with a bridge of the win.

Kraneo says it's difficult but not impossible to beat the Estetas, and they want a title match. Psicosis also wants a title shot. What happened to this program?

Místico shows up late for the técnico interview, and wearing the wrong mask. Dorada also looks like he just threw mask on at the last second. Tecnicos don't have much to unusual to say.

Match 2: Máscara Dorada, Mistico, Valiente vs Kráneo, Psicosis, Volador Jr.
Arena Mexico, 09/15/2013

  1. rudos
  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:07
Rating: good
Notes: Referee is Maya. No big entrance for Volador on this version.

1: Match breaks down into everyone taking out everyone rather quick, with Valiente toping Kraneo on the outside but Volador dropping Dorada with a Destroyer and Psicosis beating Místico inside.

2: Rudos kick around Valiente to start the fall, as far as we've seen. Volador superkicks him out. Psicosis quebradoras and sentons Místico. Kraneo slams Místico and holds him for Mije's middle rope low blow headbutt. Volador backdrops Dorada, then superkicks him with some help. Valiente is all fired up to face Volador, but gets slapped and held for Psicosis' top rope senton. Valiente escapes a double flajpack and the rudos chop Kraneo by mistake instead. Místico gets Psicosis with a headscissors, Dorada gets Volador with the floating one. Dorada goes right up to the top rope, and off with a moonsault onto Volador. Dorada and Psicosis drift into the ropes on a torito, but they inch back towards the center and Maya is generous on the call. Valiente impressively huracanranas Kraneo for the other pin.

3: Valiente flips Kraneo with a dropkick to the knee and adds a splash, but somehow that's not enough. Kraneo gets up and slaps Valiente down, but flips Valiente to the apron and Místico flies in with headscissors to take his place. Psicosis in, Místico evades then headscissors him. Dorada takes his turn, dropkicking out Psicosis then facing off with Volador. Evasion, Dorada headscissors Volador out, Valiente boost dropkicks the other two. Triple dive time? Místico moonsault, Brillo Dorada the other side, and Asai moonsault by Valiente. Dorada back in first, and dropkicking Kraneo off the apron – big tope. Valiente tope on Kraneo! Místico tope con giro on Kraneo too! Tecnicos wipe him out, but are wiped out too. Místico in with a plancha on Psicosis, but Psicosis spins him away, and Volador sneaks in for a backcracker one two three.

Volador promises Sombra hasn't heard the last of him.

Match 3: Marco Corleone vs Mr. Niebla
Arena Mexico, 09/15/2013

  1. Mr. Niebla roll thru cradle (1:43)
  2. Marco Corleone powerbomb with feet on the ropes (2:17)
  3. Marco Corleone Aero Italiano fall (5:36)

Winner: Marco Corleone (2-1)
Match Time: 9:36
Rating: ok/good
Notes: Entrances. Zacarias is with Mr. Niebla. Niebla stomps Marco down right away.

1: Niebla takes Marco to the outside and slaps him around there. Marco makes it back inside, only to get slapped and chopped around more. Niebla kicks Marco down in the corner, then yells to the crowd. Niebla wanders around, and Marco gets up throwing punches. Crowd boos. Niebla gets in a kick, corner whip, Marco reverse springboard clothesline, and out to the ramp. Marco poses, turns around, and runs back for Aero Italiano – but Niebla rolls thru for three.

2: Marco stops clotheslines and dances. Marco punches Niebla around and out. Diving clothesline off the apron looks good. Replay. Zacarias tries to help gets kicked out of the way. Marco and Niebla make it back in, where Niebla switches to biting. Corner whip, Marco jumps to the apron, punches Niebla away and goes up top. Plancha connects. Niebla charge into a Marco powerbomb, and Marco puts his feet on the top rope for the pin.

3: Marco knocks Niebla down, but his next punch gets caught and turned into a fujiwara, Panther style. Marco is in some trouble, but does crawl his way to the ropes. Niebla dropkick Marco up after they get up, and follows with a big tope. Niebla slams Marco and goes up, but Marco's watching him from the mat the whole time. Doesn't even matter, Niebla crotches himself climbing up. Marco punches him, and pulls Niebla off for a suplex. Two count. Niebla sunset flip, Marco dances, Niebla forces his way thru and finishes the cradle while grabbing the ropes. Referee notices that. Niebla tries to suplex Marco, Marco won't go, Niebla slaps him and suplexes him. Niebla goes up again, though he's got Marco set up at a tough angle. Niebla takes his time, but lands the plash anyway. One two NO. Niebla flips Marco to the apron and slaps him back, but Marco goes up and lands his own top rope plancha. Also two. Niebla powerbombs Marco and puts his feet on the ropes, and is caught again. Niebla argues the point, then turns into Marco's back suplex side slam for two. Just about done here. Marco does one more back suplex side slam, and goes to the stage. Aero Italiano lands without any problem, and that's three.

Marco's speech is edited, but you can still hear the boos. They cut out quick to the closing logo.
