Match 1: Ángel de Oro, Delta ©, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Ephesto, Felino, Mephisto ©
Arena Mexico, 04/26/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:57 (14:02)
Rating: ok
Notes: No entrances, but the in-ring introductions are shown. Zacarias is with Felino. Referee is Edgar.

1: Edit right off the bat. Delta & Ephesto start off, with Ephesto landing a big clothesline out of the corner for two. Delta headscissors him out, but holds up at the ropes for rolls and a pose. Mephisto spins Oro out with a shoulderblock. Oro comes back with a couple headscissors, including a big helicopter one, Oro teases a dive, and Delta actually does an Asia moonsault instead. Other técnicos are immediately beat by other rudos. Ephesto using a satellite armbar is odd, and I can't think of the last time I've seen Felino do a normal crucifix powerbomb.

2: No break, and seemingly another edit to start this one off. (Oro is laying on the ramp for no reason.) Rudos all kick Maya out. Mephisto kicks around Delta on the mat, bounce off the ropes, Maya trips him up, Mephisto turns around to argue, and Delta inside cradle him for three while the técnicos dropkick the other rudos. Less than a minute long. Tecnicos chase the rudos around ringside. Oro grabs the parrot, though it seems like the crowd is booing the idea of harm coming to Zacarias. Replay of the finish. Break.

3: Whistle very obviously edited in. Mephisto slides out to avoid Delta for unclear reasons. Felino takes over, is stopped by an odd Delta stop sign, and ends up being dropped by a springboard clothesline. Mephisto tosses Delta into a slow headscissors on Ephesto, but chops Delta down before he can do more. Whip, reversed, Delta does the Garza stop sign and shirt removal. Back spin headscissors looks weird, sends Mephisto out, and Delta spins thru the ropes to fake the dive. Oro in. Edit point. Oro flipping run, then a headscissors on Ephesto. Oro gets flipped to the apron as if he's going to do the Angel de Oro sequence, but headbutts Mephisto instead of superkicking him, and slingshot rolls back in. Felino comes in, boosting Oro into a dropkick on Mephisto. Superkick for Felino, all three técnicos in, triple tope! Replays of that. Back live, Felino goes up top, Delta climbs up to fight him, crucifix powerbomb reversed into a top rope huracanrana, and Mephisto breaks up the pin. That's more like Felino's crucifix powerbomb. Delta fights Mephisto ff and outs him on the middle rope. Middle rope Devil's Wings, Mephisto holding Delta up for a while and no way for Delta to escape this one. Maya breaks up the pin with a stomp. Maya heel kick. Corner whip, reversed, Mephisto goEs in chest first, and Maya strikes him down with the double knee smash. Ephesto breaks it up with a dropkick, then argues with the referee. Front backbreaker, one two Oro's turn to break it up. Angel de Oro slam, to the apron and outside in moonsault connects one two NO. Ephesto knocks Oro into the ropes, Oro rolls back to land a dropkick and send him out. Oro tope con giro knocks Ephesto over. Maya in and Mephisto in, Maya flips him to the apron, Oro pulls him to the floor, Maya tope hits – Oro by mistake! Delta and Felino left in, Felino running around like a fool. Delta quebradoras, and a superkick, but Mephisto attacks Delta before he can do any more. All three rudos in, triple powerbomb, a moment of confusion where everyone expects everyone else to do the pin (or maybe they're confused about who's legal?) and Felino covers for three.

Match 2: La Sombra ©, Máscara Dorada, Rush vs Terrible, Último Guerrero, Volador Jr.
Arena Mexico, 04/26/2013

  1. rudos

  2. tecnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 5:52
Rating: ok, super rushed
Notes: Entrances – clipped or really hurried at least. Sombra takes off his shirt before the match, that's how little time they got! Rush rushes Terrible and gets slapped down. Comandante is with Terrible. Ultimo Guerrero is in no hurry, though Terrible does mange to throw Rush into the steps and slap him around, so it's not like he needs any help. UG does help stomp, then looks to see where the other guys are. Back elbows for everyone! No Mije, but Volador has an Iron Patriot outfit on and rushes to the ring to join the fight. Referee is Babe Richard, the official referee of semifinals on Fridays.

1: Rudo dominated brawling. Volador surprises UG by knocking down Sombra for the senton de la muerte, and UG appreciates the gift. Terrible slaps down Dorada. Big flapjack for Dorada. Terrible's head kick to Rush doesn't some anywhere near Rush's head, but Volador makes up for it with an especially violent looking Volador Spiral. Break.

2: Rudos remain in control for a moment, then Rush superkicks Volador on a corner charge. UG kicks him down, Sombra springboard huracanrana UG, Terrible boots him down, Dorada runs up the ramp, and turns back for the floating headscissors on Terrible. Rush runs and topes Terrible, then the other técnicos beat the other rudos.

3: Volador and Sombra dueling flipping runs, and one back spin headscissors sends Volador out. Terrible comes in, so Rush tags himself in, so Terrible takes in UG. We have no time for this! Rush backs Terrible up the ramp and spits at him. This non-exchange is about a third as long as the last fall. Dorada and UG in, UG spins out Dora with a shoulderblocks, tosses him to the ramp, Dorada slaps him bac, runs, up the ramp, and boots into a high headscissors. Volador in, Dorada evades, Volador hits the post, Dorada runs some more, and comes off the ramp with a diving ramp headscissors that it didn't look like he was going to be able to pull out. Terrible and Rush in and moving as slowly as possible. Shoves, Rush moves out to the way of a Terrible dropkick and stomps him crazy like. Invisible football kick, not a lot of follow thru there Rush. Rush kicks and chops. Corner whip, charge in to boot, Terrible charges the other way and throws himself out on the middle rush goes for a dive, técnicos cut him off with a kick. Rudos sidesteps Dorada's dropkick and kicks Sombra, but Sombra boosts Dorada into a boost dropkick on Volador. UG takes the knee bump out. Sombra big tope con giro onto UG, Dorada big moonsault onto Dorada. Terrible and Rush in and stomping. Chops, punches, Terrible gets in the big boot and a headkick, kick caught and Rush fouls Terrible. That's it.

Sombra and Dorada look displeased with their partner. Rush pays no attention, shoves down Babe Richard, stares at the crowd, and storms off. Volador's takes a shove for being on the ramp at the ring time. Replays.

Match 3: Atlantis & Hombre Bala Jr. vs Boby Zavala & Rey Escorpión in a CMLL Gran Alternativa Tournament final match
Arena Mexico, 04/26/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 15:37
Rating: great
Notes: Hombre Bala has new white and blue gear for the match. Zavala & Escorpion enter together, where Zavala happily has Revolucionarios gear. Hat and onscreen graphic differ on how to spell Boby's name. Bestia Negra is referee. Monito is with the técnicos.

1: Escorpion and Bala have a big standoff. Bala shoves Escorpion away. Bala jumping snap mare, Escorpion up and back elbowing him down, Bala armdrags Escorpion away, and Escorpion claps on his knees. Armbar reversals end with Bala trying to do a knee step over something but Escorpion just shoves him down. Bala comes back with a sunset flip for two. Escorpion small package for two. Tags to Zavala vs Atlantis, a thing actually happening. Very quick back and forth counters, neither man landing a big blow. Atlantis seems to be walking funny to his corner as they tag Bala and Escorpion back in. Boby trips up Bala from outside, Escorpion adds an elbow drop, and the rudos clear out the técnicos. Corner whip, corner clotheslines on Bala. Zavala backdrops Bala and dropkicks him hard in the side, but makes sure Bala doesn't leave the ring. Bala wants a tag, but Zavala tags in Escorpion instead. Double armbar, tease of a tag to Bala, but he's held short. Atlantis argues with Bestia Negra, gets nowhere. Whip, double clothesline misses, and Bala dives to tag Atlantis – only for Escorpion to strikes Atlantis down as he comes in. Whip, Escorpion big spinebuster, Zavala top rope splash, one two three. Zavala tosses Bala to Escorpion, who lifts him up and sit down powerbombs him hard for the other pin. First fall to the rudos.

2: Escorpion throws Atlantis into the barricade on the outside, while Zavala takes care of Bala. Monito hides. Double big boot to send Bala out. Corner clothesline for Atlantis, then he whipped out to Zavala, who lays Atlantis over the buckle for an axhandle to the back. Bala hung in the ropes for Zavala's speeding sliding dropkick to the backside. Zavala kicks Atlantis down, puts him in armbar, and brings in Escorpion, Atlantis breaks it up, reverses a whip to quebradora Zavala, quebradora Escorpion, and the técnicos go for brawling revenge. (Montio stops hiding.) Zavala's posted, Escorpion's sent into the barricade. Tecnicos regroup in the ring while the rudos recover. Escorpion back in to face both, Atlantis' dropkick misses, Bala's thrust kick does not. Bala flipped to the apron, swing kicks knocks Escorpion into an Atlantis takedown, and Bala adds the split legged moonsault just as Atlantis casadora cradles Zavala. Three count on both, and the match is tied.

3: Escorpion and Bala in to stat. It's been a lot of cross generation fighting so far. Shoves back and forth. Bala handsprings and armdrag on Escorpion then pulls of a springboard spinning armdrag to send Escorpion out. Zavala rushes in, dropkicks Bala, takes a shot at Atlantis and taunts him. Atlantis yells at points. Zavala chops Bala and stops to yell at the crowd. Atlantis can't believe the nerve of this guy. Whip, Bala back with a flipping armdrag, and a roll into a pose. Escorpion confronts him, but Bala backs off and tags in Atlantis. Escorpion doesn’t like this at all and begs off, then tags out to Zavala. Atlantis chases Escorpion on the outside, but Zavala demands the fight instead. Chops, Zavala kicks, shot off, and Zavala back with shoulderblock. Zavala yells at Atlantis, off the ropes, avoidance and into an Atlantis armdrag. Evasion, Atlantis monkey flip. Escorpion in, but rammed into his partner. Zavala tumbles out, Escorpion looks out to see what happened, and turns around into another Atlantis monkey flip. Quebradora for Escorpion and crowd into it. Escorpion up and smacking Escorpion down, but turning into his big salida de bandera. Bala runs – over the top crazy headfirst tope! Atlantis forearms Zavala off the apron, climbs up top, and lands a top rope plancha on to him. Replays of that dive. Back live, Zavala and Bala in, Bala corner whip, charging double knee, and a cutter out. That didn't look crisp, but it looked painful. A la de caballo cradle, one two Escorpion stops the counter but stopping the ref. Bucanero says that should be a disqualification, but it never is. Atlantis argues. Escorpion half nelson cradle on Bala, one two NO. Escorpion small package one two NO. Escorpion fits Bala on his shoulders, Bala slips out the back for a sunset flip one two NO. Escorpion punches Bala right in the side of the head. That'll stop the cradles! Escorpion cuts his throat, powerbomb on Bala. Not a lot on that. Atlantis breaks up the pin with a sunset flip, one two NO. Atlantis huracanrana, Escorpion rolls thru one two NO. Escorpion slaps Atlantis towards the ropes. Corner whip, corner clothesline. Tag to Zavala. Whip, Escorpion back elbow, Zavala wheelbarrow faceslam – actually works! That seemed like the surprise roll up for sure, because Escorpion walked away way early. One two NO. Zavala tags Escorpion back in. Crowd has quieted down a little bit. Escorpion tirabuzón on Atlantis, grinding in his elbow. Atlantis reverses to his own, and Zavala kicks his partner by mistake trying to break that up. Atlantis huracanrana, Zavala powerbomb with his feet on the ropes, and the ref won't count at all. Whip, Atlantis grabs the ropes, Zavala charges, Atlantis throws him out, Bala up top – top rope reverse tope to the floor! He didn't miss the barricade by much which would be very bad. Atlantis bodyscissors cradle takes Escorpion out, and he follows with a big tope. Replay of that. Edit? Bala drops Escorpion near the corner, goes up, top rope moonsault meets Escorpion feet. Aguijon Mortal! Atlantis in, but Zavala cuts off his huracanrana with a sit down powerbomb on two three.

Replays. Escorpion and Zavala get their trophies, with Escorpion dancing with the edecan. It's the crystal trophies. Zavala is holding his the wrong way (text away from the camera), and Escorpion turns it around for him. They both celebrate as JCR lists off recent champions (of which they still acknowledge.) Ringside replays are shorter than usual and only include the final two matches.
