Announcers, and Marco Corleone, welcome us to the show.

Match 1: Bengala & Génesis vs Herodes Jr. & Inquisidor
Arena Mexico, 04/02/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 15:01
Rating: eh
Notes: Oh no. Referee is Terror Chino

1: Announcer forgets the name of Genesis in the opening minutes of the match. I believe that's a coping mechanism. Pairs are Inquisidor/Genesis and Herodes/Bengali. Inquisidor's finish requires Genesis to passively sit on the ropes for about 8 seconds. Herodes hooks one of Bengala's leg behind his back, and lets the other one stay free.

2: Rudos dominate, while the announcers try to make the match sound more exciting than it looks. There's a minute long stretch with Herodes just twisting Bengala's hand biting it. Inquisidor continues to enjoy hanging people in places and hitting them. Herodes does more armbars, but somehow the crowd boos when Genesis breaks this up with dropkicks. Bengala's submission looks good, Genesis appears to blow a flying armscissors before his submission but it's not clear what happened. He gets up shaking his left wrist.

3: Match speeds up greatly with the técnicos on offense. Genesis and Herodes are able to pull off the flying armscissors this time. Bengala has the better offense. Bengala takes Inquisidor out of the ring with a bodyscissors cradle, but Herodes dropkick Genesis in the knee and double arms suplexes him for a pin.

Bengala is able to dropkick Herodes out, but Inquisidor fights back, places Bengala on the top rope, and pulls him off for the win.

Match 2: Aereo, Fantasy, Shockercito vs Mercurio, Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Violencia
Arena Mexico, 04/02/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: Pequeño Nitro
Match Time: 12:03
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra.

1: Pairs are Fantasy/Violencia, Aereo/Nitro, and Shockercito/Mercurio (briefly.) Aereo gets booed, which Karla attributes to a rudo crowd. He did a poor quebradora right before it. Shockercito gets kicked by Violencia going for a dive, which puts the rudos in control. Mercurio's finish is an old sit back piledriver.

2: Violencia goes after Shockercito early, including a big chokeslam. The other two rudos focus on dropkicks and backcrackers. Shockercito sidesteps a Nitro spear into the post to start the 1 on 3 comeback. Violencia's left in alone and Shockercito dropkick and slaps him about, and gets him in a reinera, but the other rudos break it up. Aero planchas both of them get tossed, and Fantasy has more success with a missile dropkick. Tecnicos wrap up from there and Shockercito threatens Violencia on the outside.

3: Mercurio and Fantasy have a good chop exchange as part of the técnico showcases. Shockercito blows up Nitro with a dropkick, does his pose, and then picks Nitro up in a reinera for a pin.

Aereo huracanranas Mercurio for a two count, but gets caught in a Mercurio Storm next for a pin.

Fantasy headscissors Mercurio out and tope con giros on him (and past) to leave Violencia and Shocker in to finish it. Violencia blocks the torito, Shockercito blocks the foul kick, Shockercito puts on a tirabuzón variation, Shockercito and the referee are distracted by Pequeño Nitro, and Pequeño Violencia sneaks in a foul to set up the winning pinfall.

Match 3: Diamante, Fuego, Hijo del Fantasma vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Namajague, Shigeo Okumura
Arena Mexico, 04/02/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:50
Rating: ok
Notes: Namajague has accepted life as an unmasked human being, while Okumura is still covering up his head. Referee is Tirantes.

1: Pairs are Namajague/Fuego, Arkangel/Diamante, Okumura/Fantasma. Fantasma gets folded up by an Okumura clothesline, causing Fuego to jump in, pulls off Okumura's cap, and stomp in the mat. Rudos take over while Okumura covers his head and keep control. Okumura and Fantasma pull off a poor quebradora. Rudos use up some time in control, Diamante get a random sunset flip on Arkangel, Okumura breaks it up and Michinoku Drivers him for a pin. Namajague from splashes Fantasma for the other pin.

2: Fiebre Amarilla boot out Diamante and do the rolling pose. Fuego waits for them to stop and attacks, but the rudos take care of him too. Arkangel powerbombs Fantasma, then puts him in a toe hold. An one-two combo. Arkangel hangs Fantasma in the ropes, clotheslines him hard down, and adds a pump splash for a two count. Required low blow spot. Okumura DDTs Fuego, still only 2. Fuego ducks a double clothesline twice, but the rudos back elbow him down. Tecnicos still pull out Namajague, and holds him for a Fuego tope, then rush back in to defeat the técnicos. Diamante's hold on Arkangel looks like it's not going to work, but they figure it out before it goes bad.

3: Tecnico offense run. Diamante gets in the four bounce armdrag on Okumura. Fantasma headscissors Arkangel out, then flips Namajague on an enziguri. Crowd chants for Fuego as he corner clotheslines and monkey flips Namajague. Fuego casadora small package is broken up by Arkangel, but Namajague soon clotheslines his partner by mistake. More rudo backfiring until Namajague sunset flip into a double dropkick, and those other técnicos follow with topes on the other rudos. Fuego and Namajague left in, Fuego jumps up for a Namajague foul, Namajague doesn't foul him (forgot?), so Fuego improvises a few spots before leaping again and Namajague fouls him correctly that time. Oh well.

Match 4: Marco Corleone, Máscara Dorada, Rush vs Euforia, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero
Arena Mexico, 04/02/2013

  1. técnicos

  2. rudos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:45
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra.

1: Niebla Roja is far to excited to get one kick on Rush, and Rush makes him pay for it with a spine kick. Euforia tries, and fails, to keep Dorada down. Nice spinning headscissors from the mat to beat him. Match is moving fast, so much so that Marco and Ultimo go right to the sunset flip bit when they come in. It breaks down from there, Dorada landing a tope on Euforia and Rush superkicking Niebla Roja before setting both UG and Niebla Roja for Aero Italiano. Rush adds a senton and tries to get Marco to join in, but Marco just waits for the pin to be counted and helps him up.

2: Dorada tries jumping and rolling to the ramp, but the rudos stomp him down before he can do any more, then cut off the técnicos as they try to help. Flying sit on Dorada. Everyone pounds Rush, and gives him a double press slam. Niebla Roja goes up as if he's supposed to add something, but UG covers instead and Niebla Roja just jumps down. Awkward. Niebla picks up the pin Dorada.

3: Dorada slips in a springboard headscissors on Niebla Roja, then a boost dropkick on Euforia. No rudo control at all here, just straight to the Dorada comeback. Dorada slaps down Guerrero, runs up the ramp, and runs back for a springboard headscissors in. Dorada fakes the dive for a flipping run, too more boos than are deserved. Marco punches UG a lot, then jumps a lot, then clotheslines people. Big spinning slam for Niebla Roja is different. Rush chops down Niebla Roja, then gets warned for his gut punches. Marco has to play peacemaker between Rush and the referee, both hot heads. Niebla jumps into a Rush dropkick. UG tries to surprise Rush with a clothesline, but he takes the belly suplex and a dropkick. Euforia runs into a superkick. Rush stomps him out, poses, then runs and lands a tope con giro anyway. Dorada tells Rush to pick Euforia up, runs, and his tope con giro this Rush of course. Marco manges to chokeslam the other two and punch them both down, so no worries. Marco goes Aereo Italiano, Euforia comes back in, Guerreors all catch Marco and throw him down, covering for three. Hey, teamwork.

Match 5: Kráneo, Mr. Águila, Psicosis vs Ángel de Oro, Shocker, Valiente for the Mexican National Trios Championship
Arena Mexico, 04/02/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 16:21
Rating: ok
Notes: Tecnicos are all wearing a little bit of gold, but then they always sort of do. Neither team really has a unified look and all get their own entrances. Mije is with Kraneo. Belt presentation is skipped. Tirantes is referee, which used to mean something in these matches and now probably doesn't.

1: Valiente and Psicosis reach a stalemate on the mat. Angel de Oro and Kraneo come in, crowd chants for Angel, and Kraneo just leaves, but Aguila avoiding Shocker causes Kraneo and Angel de Oro to be stuck with each other after all. They take a while to get going, but Oro eventually gets in a superkick, a snap mare, and a kick to the spine. Aguila and Shocker chop each other until Psicosis helps out, and the rudos kick Shocker to the ground. Aguila leaves, but Psicosis keeps Shocker from tagging out with an armbar. Angel de Oro rushes in to axhandles Psicosis, but Psicosis just ignores it and Kraneo knocks Oro away. Holding and hitting on Shocker. Kraneo slams Shocker for Psicosis senton, but Psicosis does a top rope stomp instead. Aguila lands his heal kick and puts on an armscissors for the submission. Aguila won't let go until forced, but no disqualification.

2: Valiente and Psicosis have good counters that seemed to end with Valiente being dropped on his face while going for a headscissors, though the graphics block out the impact. Rudos give him the swinging gate bomb, Valiente landing on his hip. Kraneo gives Angel de Oro a huge spear to set up Mije's headbutt drop. Everyone beats up on Shocker, but he gives Aguila an arm wringer to turn the tide, then brings in Valiente for no particular reason (helping out on a whip and but still doing the quebradora himself.) Oro dropkicks out Aguila to set up Shocker's pescado. Psicosis and Valiente do an odd sunset flip reversal bit before Valiente locks on his Indian deathlock, and Angel de Oro is done with his hold by then.

3: Showcase round has Valiente get a flying headscissors on Kraneo, Angel de Oro pull off a helicopter headscissors on Psicosis (but almost miss Aguila's armdrag out) and Shocker and Aguila have a big face off. Aguila goes down hard on a Shocker forearm, then claims a foul. Aguila appears to not stick his knee out on a quebradora. Shocker follows with two better ones of his own, but the rudos break it up. Tecnicos do the triple cradle spot for two counts. Ring is cleared of the feuding pair, and the rudos send the técnicos out. Dives? Kraneo tope into Angle de Oro, Psicosis tope over the top not really caught by Valiente. That did not look fun for Psicosis. Shocker and Aguila left in, Shocker pulls of the reinera, Kraneo breaks it up. Kraneo miss a corner charge and Psicosis is pulled out. Valiente and Oro moonsault onto to them. Shocker and Aguila have trouble with a corner sunset flip, Aguila revers it and grabs the ropes, Tirantes sees it but counts one two three.

Shocker charges Aguila and Kraneo loses his belt in the process. Oro gets it, and gives it back. Valiente puts the belt on Psicosis.

Announcers wrap up, which appears to include a take that was supposed to be edited out and about 7 seconds of Karla giggling while they wait to reset. Strong way to end it.
