Match 1: Freesbe & Oro Jr. vs Apocalipsis & Ramstein
Arena Mexico, 01/08/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:16
Rating: ok
Notes: There are more announcers than people in this match! Referee is Bestia Negra.

1: Pairs are Oro II/Apocalispis (who's lost some weight?) and Freesbe/Ramstein (who has not.) Apocalipsis has an interesting crooked figure four, and Oro armdrags and flips to his feet to escape. Freesbe gets in his weird armdrags and dropkick Ramstein thru the ropes. Apocalipsis does the same to Freesbe. Oro breaks out some jumping elbow smashes. Springboard armdrag looks nice, but Apocalipsis catches him when he tries to jump for something, and Ramstein adds a top rope elbow smash to the back. Apocalipsis submits Freesbe to finish the fall.

2: Rudos stay in charge with simple but effective work. Rudos are only held up by Bestia Negra arguing over a tag. Rudos dropkick Oro off the apron, which is a lot more work for Oro than the rudos. Oro recovers quickly to flip Freesbe to safety and set up Freesbe's plancha onto Apocalipsis. Ramstein sells a dropkick by walking around the ref and carefully existing the ring. OK. Freesbe submits Apocalipsis. Ramstein kicks out Freesbe so he can take the Hector Garza finish.

3: Oro has an elegant springboard roll in the ring, but should not be doing double bicep poses. Springboard headscissors looks nice. Oro adds a springboard tornillo armdrag before posing in the ring. Freesbe doing usual CMLL técnico moves with Ramstein. Crowd is pretty consistently booing the técnicos for existing. Oro is a bit too quick to pose and throws Apocalipsis' timing off, but the rudo still get in an elbow smash. Oro puts him on the middle rope on a charge and goes for a 'rana, but Apocalipsis blocks it and holds him for a Ramstein dropkick to the face. Cover for three. Apocalipsis pulls out a German suplex to beat Freesbe.

Tecnicos are down for a while after being beat. Rudos are happy.

Match 2: Aereo, Astral, Último Dragoncito vs Demus 3:16, Mercurio, Pequeño Olímpico
Arena Mexico, 01/08/2013

  1. técnicos

  2. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:33
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Pompin.

1: Acero and Demus are in the ring to start, but Demus demands to face Dragoncito for whatever reason. Maybe he wants to have a good match! They battle on the mat before Demus armdrags Dragoncito everywhere, including out of the ring. Dragoncito comes back to headscissors Demus around. Astral has less problems headscissors Mercurio out, who seems more concerned about staying out of the way of a follow up dive. Acero has a slow slingshot headscissors and a casadora armdrag into a kneebar to submit Olímpico. Dragoncito finishes Demus while Astral chases Mercurio away.

2: Demus, wearing a shirt, pulls off Dragoncito's shirt to chop him harder. Dragoncito rallies back with a flying headscissors and a big backspin one to send Demus spinning out. Olímpico takes over on Astral with a headscissors counter faceslam, then holds him up for a side slam/Mercurio springboard legdrop. Acero springboards into a counter dropkick from Mercurio, then Demus screams at Acero for a moment. Demus fights off a walk up the ropes bit with a fireman's carry side slam on Acero, then shoulder powerslams Dragoncito. Demus stops to take a bow on the middle rope, which makes me pretty sure we're not getting a pinfall here. Demus goes back to work, if his work is biting Dragoncito's chest. Big inverted powerslam on Dragoncito. Demus showing off, but not willing to try to win the match. Dragoncito turns a whip into a backspin headscissors to send Demus to the ramp, and Astral springboard tope con giros him there. Mercurio clears out Dragoncito, but Acero slides Mercurio out and follows with a diving headscissors to the floor. Dragoncito and Olímpico, the old men, back in. Dragoncito tries a casadora, Olímpico gets free, Olímpico tosses Dragoncito up and uppercut fouls him. That was rather blatant.

Tecnicos mock the rudos, but they don't seem to care much.

Match 3: Diamante, Fuego, Sagrado vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Skándalo
Arena Mexico, 01/08/2013

  1. técnicos

  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 13:30
Rating: eh
Notes: Referee is Tirantes, slumming it here on a Tuesday midcard match. Isis is at ringside, sometimes up on the apron.

1: Pairs are Sagrado/Skándalo, Diamante/Hooligan, Fuego/Arkangel

Bucanero calls Hooligan one of the best in CMLL. Sure! Fuego's right shoulder is all taped up. Action is pretty standard, though Arkangel does take a bump for Fuego's quebrada. Fuego dropkicks him out and follows with a tope, just getting there. Sagrado springboard planchas Hooligan as he tries to dive and tricks him into hitting Skándalo. Hooligan is sad, and sadder still when he walks into a Diamante swing kick. Hooligan falls in perfect position for the 450 splash, but Diamante struggles with an elbow instead. Sagrado dumps Skándalo in the corner and finishes him with his moonsault.

2: Tecnicos have the rudos all backed up into the same corner of ringside area, so this one takes a little bit of time to actually get started in the ring. Sagrado goes thru his usual offense with Skándalo. Diamante does the same with Hooligan, and Fuego is on to the same until Skándalo puts a stop to it. Back elbows and chops to take over. Hooligan cheap shots Sagrado from behind, and Skándalo puts him in the rudo corner for the low blow dropkick. That actually gets the pin, though it's Hooligan who covers. Rudos start to beat up Diamante, but Tirantes informs them that Sagrado is captain and the fall is over.

3: Diamante takes Skándalo low blow dropkick #2. Sagrado gets in a surprise, Virus style fake right slap with the left bit on Hooligan, but Arkangel kicks Sagrado before he can do much more. Sagrado evades a corner charge and just hides out in an neutral corner while Arkangel yells at him from the center of the ring. Diamante eventually comes into hit Arkangel, though Skándalo takes his place soon after. Sagrado just hangs out in the wrong corner until Diamante headscissors Skándalo out, then topes him thru the corner. Diamante tope con giros Skándalo the other way. Arkangel and Fuego are left in, and Arkangel backdrops Fuego easily. Two count. Arkangel scoops Fuego up, spins around, and drops him in the center of the ring. Arkangel goes up, Fuego catches up and super armdrags him. Two count. Flashina, one two three.

Match 4: Ángel de Oro, Blue Panther, La Máscara vs Misterioso Jr., Shigeo Okumura, Vangelis
Arena Mexico, 01/08/2013

  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:39
Rating: ok
Notes: Referee is Terror Chino.

1: Vangelis is very proud to hold Panther in a hammerlock for a while, then a headscissors on the mat. Panther tries to neck bridge out, but Vangelis just traps him further. Panther is eventually able to push out. Panther puts on an armbar, Vangelis makes a tag, referee disallows, Okumura looses his mind briefly. Panther makes a point of making a legal tag to Mascara, who takes over with hiptosses. Vangelis gets close enough to his corner for Okumura to tag in again, and again it's denied. Tecnicos make their own legal but unobserved tag in the mean time, but that backfires when Oro jumps into a Vangelis spear. Oro does recover to headscissors Vangelis from the mat, almost taking out the ref in the process. Oro brings Vangelis to the rudo corner, Okumura again makes an illegal tag, referee stops him for the third time. Poor Vangelis. Tecnicos demonstrate how to make a tag again, and Panther goes after Vangelis' arm. Okumura tag, disallowed for a fourth time! Now even Namajague is annoyed with Okumura for screwing it up. And then they just rush in and attack Panther without getting a tag! HOW DOES THAT WORK! Panther tries to argue for a DQ as the rudos beat up the técnicos, but no one is called. Rudos lay out all the técnicos, start to walk back to their corner, and Mascara casadora cradles Okumura out of nowhere. And Okumura is the captain! This was an infuriating fall.

2: Oro and Namajague have a chop fight that just sort of stops. Oro gets in a kick and armbar and tags in Panther, who out smarts Namajague and clotheslines him on his head. Oro trip sets up a Mascara kick to the face. Mascara covers for two. Okumura gets in a kick from the outside to help his friend, and Namajague stomps down Mascara to give the rudos control of the match. Vangelis wheel kick, check. Mascara gets a triple boot. Panther tries to brawl with everyone at once, but eventually just gets missile dropkicked and Northern lights suplexed for the fall.

3: Rudos stay in control. Okumura gets a near fall off a DDT on Mascara, with the other técnicos breaking up the pin. Mascara sidesteps a Vangelis corner charge to start the comeback. Vangelis pears the post, Máscara superkicks Namajague and quebradoras Okumura. Mascara stops to take off his shirt while the rudos recover. Máscara off the ropes, over, under, into a Namajague back elbow. Namajague stomps Mascara. Whip, clothesline misses, Namajague kick caught and dropped into the splits for a Mascara kick. Mascara signals for another, but Namajague is out. Cover one two NO he's not out. Mascara rolling dropkick, and tag to Panther. Double back elbow, Mascara up on Panther's shoulder and off for a splash on Namajague. Panther covers, but Vangelis breaks up the pin. Namajague tags in Vangelis, who's spear on Panther does not look great. Suplex goes batter. Panther is up quick, so Vangelis suplexes Panther again, then covers this time one to Oro breaks it up and flees. Panther back elbows Vangelis, Vangelis fights back with a kick, but get caught in the ropes going for more and Oro superkicks him away. Springboard dropkick sends Vangelis out, but Okumura clotheslines Oro before he can dive. Whip, Oro flipping run, and back with a headscissors. Asai moonsault takes out Okumura. Other técnicos take out other rudos for the clean submission wins.

Angel de Oro, in obvious pain, is loaded onto his stretcher. He landed on his feet on the moonsault. Not sure if something buckled, but it was not obvious as to what happened.

Match 5: Máscara Dorada, Mistico, Titán vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
Arena Mexico, 01/08/2013

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:37
Rating: good
Notes: Ephesto is in a shouty mood. His partners, not so much on the way to the ring. Referee is Tirantes. Mistico's shoulder is taped up.

1: Dorada is too quick for Mephisto, but he manages to get to a zero trip standoff. Titan gets worked over by the rudos in the corner, but sunset flips Ephesto into a Dorada springboard armdrag. Averno kicks Dorada, and Místico makes his return with a springboard headscissors. He's immediately booed very loudly. Místico slides out on the rudo side of town and gets stomped by the rudos, much to the crowd's approval. Tecnicos try to help out, but get thrown into the barricade. Mistico's thrown back in and back elbowed. He grabs his left shoulder on the first bump he takes, but does not stop taking super dramatic bumps. Averno goes after Mistico's mask, gets warned by Tirantes, and Mephisto just slips in to untie it himself. Tirantes yells at Mephisto and backs him away, so Ephesto slips in and tries the mask himself! Tirantes catches on to the bit a little late. Rudos hang Místico in the Tree of Woe, Mephisto kicks him down, and Averno finishes Místico with Devil's Wings. Ephesto covers for three. Welcome back, take a pin.

2: Dorada takes the high flapjack and kick. Rudos succeed in taking Mistico's mask off, but apparently not in such a fashion tn to get a DQ. He has a lot of trouble getting it back on. Rebound double hiptoss for Dorada. Mephisto gives Titan a free shot, so the rudos can give him a free shot. Nice DDT by Ephesto. Ephesto forearms and stomps and kicks Titan around. Dorada gets tossed into boots on the ramp and booted in the ring. Titan manages to get in a shot again, but the rudos swarm him and back elbow him down. Whip, Titan handspring side kick! That's the best one he's done, too. Averno clothesline misses, Titan attempts to superkick Ephesto but Ephesto goes low and almost takes out Titan's plant leg (?), Titan ignores it and walks over to Averno to be knocked out of the way, Dorada floating headscissors in from the ramp on Averno (almost taking out Tirantes who wandered into the path to check on Ephesto – Dorada had to adjust.) Averno goes out, and Místico goes on top of him with a moonsault. Dorada springboard casadora cradle on Mephisto, Titan springboard sunset flip on Ephesto for the other pin.

3: Match resumes with Dorada leaping off the stage to plancha Averno. That was random. Místico goes after Mephisto's mask until Tirantes breaks that up. Dorada and Místico celebrate in the ring while Titan cause Mephisto and Ephesto to hit each other. Everyone settles down and goes to their corner. Titan and Mephisto start off, evasion leading to the Titan handwalk backflip headscissors. Místico runs the ropes with Averno and headscissors him out on the first try. Ephesto gets in a shot with Místico looking the wrong way, but Místico comes back with a boosted headscissors on Ephesto. Mephisto slide out to try and get away from Místico, but Místico pulls off a diving headscissors from the middle rope. Ephesto, looking like he had a festive holiday season, knocks over Dorada with a shoulderblock. Dorada turns around a whip and sends Ephesto out with a push off corner headscissors. Headscissors into an armdrag for Averno. Averno dropkick misses, Dorada flipped to the apron but slapping Averno back. All three técnicos line up on the apron with all the rudos in the ring – cascading springboard headscissors in, then triple tope con giros! Dorada and Mephisto make it first, Mephisto slow to turn around to react to Dorada. Rudo clothesline misses, Dorada springboard into a Mephisto dropkick, one tow Místico breaks it up. Boos back for Místico. Whip, Místico back with a 'rana, one two Ephesto breaks it up. Ephesto lifts Místico up, points, and gives Místico a shoulderbreaker – to his good right shoulder. One two Titan stomps the pin to break it up. Titan is is flipped to the apron, but fights back and goes up – double stomp misses, but the takedown into the half crab works (albeit not as smooth as with Pólvora last week.) Ephesto pounds the mat, but Averno breaks up the hold. Titan and Averno battle in the corner, Titan springboards 'rana blocked into a powerbombed, then lifted up and dropped for a sit down one. One two both técnicos break it up. They stop to celebrate, which allows Mephisto time to come in and kick Dorada. Mephisto drags Dorada by the mask to one corner, Ephesto takes Místico to the other, rudos try bulldogs but they're shoved off. Tecnicos puts on the Estrella, Titan trips up Averno – tapatias in the middle! Everyone gives!

Tecnicos celebrate. Replays.
