Match 1: La Sombra vs Último Guerrero
Arena Mexico, 12/07/2012

Winner: La Sombra
Match Time: 8:31
Rating: eh
Notes: Sombra is wrapped in glow in the dark cord for some reason. Maybe they were afraid he'd get lost in the darkness. Referee is Tirantes

Seems like an early clip, and picked up with Sombra headscissoring Guerrero out. Sombra easy flip out of the ring into a 'rana on UG, but UG catches him Puma King style and slams him into the barricade. Sombra is down for a while, and UG rolls him back in. Corner whip, reversed, Sombra charge in, UG corner sunset flip one two NO. Both slow up, Sombra still grabbing his left shoulder form the barricade attack. Whip by UG, Sombra 'rana, UG reverses one two NO. Both slow up. Corner whip, UG charges in, Sombra moves, UG takes the knee bump out and Sombra follows with alighting match onto his feet. Sombra is selling the shoulder a lot longer than most, but this is still a lesser lightning match at this point. Sombra slides in. UG in after him. Chop fight, strong by both men, and Sombra surprisingly wins via chop. Sombra dumps UG in front of the corner, top rope flip moonsault, connects, one two kickout. Sombra argues the count passionately. Didn't seem that close, also didn't seem that close on replay. Back live, UG is sitting on the top rope, and Sombra walks up to join him for a front superplex for two. Corner whip, reversal, UG goes face in and bounces out, and Sombra has just enough to pull him over for the Brillante Bomb one two NO. Sombra corner clothesline, UG set up on top, Sombra goes for a 'rana, UG blocked it for a superbomb like he does in every single match. Sombra got thrown down hard, but this is so every Ultimo Guerrero match. Two count, long rest. Sombra fireman's carry drop, double moonsault hit knees, mostly because Sombra had bad aim and less because UG got them up, one two NO. Rest. These guys are so tired from doing one spot, they'd be passed out if they did two in a row. UG sets up Sombra for the Guerrero Special, does the Guerrero Special two count one two NO, usual surprise crucifix pin, one two NO. Sombra argues the pin again, this time ripping off his shirt. That doesn't help, does get him cheers. Sombra top rope double moonsault, that one hits awkwardly (as usual), one two three.

Sombra gets a trophy for some reason. Riano 3 innocently ask why Sombra is getting a trophy, leaving poor Magadan to ramble thru a safe answer. Ultimo Guerrero and Sombra shake hands and hug.

Announcers say hello.

2012 teaser.

Winner: Tama Tonga
Match Time: 24:54
Rating: good
Notes: Referee is Terror Chino, with Pompin and Babe Richard on the outside. Just as last week, teams are rudos vs técnicos. Zacarias is with the rudos.

Máximo does Máximo things with Dragon Rojo. Porky does Porky things with Felino, who's either grown and colored his hair this week or is wearing a crazy wig. Guerrero Maya attempts to do Guerrero Maya things with Misterioso, but Misterioso ducks away when he starts in on the armdrag and kicks him. Gori stretch – no, Maya sunset flip, one two three! That was about 20 seconds of match for Misterioso tonight, who's making a habit of early exits in these things.

Misterioso argues the count, while the other rudos storm the ring and beat up Maya. They must know they're next if this is allowed to continue. Shocker and Stuka attempt to make the save, while we see a replay. Back live, the rudos give Maya double big boot, and Puma follows him out with a tope con giro – to the técnico side. That's bad news for Puma. Zacarias tries to make the save, and that's bad news for Zacarias. Máximo tries to throw him over the rail before the rest of the rudos get there. Referees on the outside try to sort it out while Zacarias gets away just ahead of the Brazos. Inside, Máximo and Shocker have a chop battle that turns into a kick one. Double clothesline, no one goes down. Off the ropes again – and this time Tama just leaves. Shocker makes the mistake of following him into the rudo area, and Puma ambushes him with a forearm. Rudo stomp down, with Tama fighting people Maya off before the técnicos back down. Stuka and Felino in, Stuka refusing a handshake and getting gin his flipping run. Headscissors sends Felino out to the técnico side, Stuka topes him right into the barricade. Guerrero Maya and Puma in, though distracted by the people on the outside for a moment. Maya gets in his armdrags here, three of them in three different ways, then roll to tag in Máximo to face Rojo. Rojo kicks Máximo down immediately, and shoulderblocks him on the next pass. Máximo kips up, armdrags Rojo and happily spins. Merrily, even. Máximo armdrag, blocking shots, and reaching in for a kiss, but Dragon Rojo gets away and out of the ring. Porky in, waiting for a técnico to come in. Felino does, and I think porky makes fun of Felino's dance. Crowd chants for Porky as Felino brushes around his hair. Felino slam falls, Porky falls on top for two. Puma in helping his dad with a superkick. Puma stick around so Porky can pull off the headscissors/headlock takeover. Rudos get it together. Puma spinebuster, Felino thinks about going up but it's too far, so running senton, Puma senton one two three. Big win for Puma. US TV break.

Replay of Puma's win. Stuka and Rojo in, Stuka quickly dropping Rojo in the center and heading up. Felino yells at Rojo to roll out of the way, but Stuka is going the other way – Deadman's plancha on Puma. Maya shoulders Rojo form the apron and heads up – top rope plancha. Rojo corner clothesline misses, Maya slaps him in the corner. Corner whip, Rojo turns into a tope con giro near the corner! That was unexpected. Maya does his poses, runs in place, tope con giro onto Rojo and the front row (who hold him up and pushes him back). Máximo backdrops Felino into a backdrop pescado on the group, then adds his own tope. Shocker in, but Tonga takes him out with a big clothesline. Tama scoop slam. Shocker pounds the mat, gets up, and takes a something from Tonga. Maybe a running knee, Though it looked like Tama's originally plan was an enziguri and Shocker tries to block it with his hands. Tonga pounds Shocker for a moment, then runs again - clothesline caught into a reinera this time (which looks to be Shocker's original plan.) Rojo breaks up that with a kick to Shocker's face. Stuka back in, off the ropes, over, under, Rojo clothesline blocked into a fireman’s drop, and Stuka goes up the corner again. Stuka nods to the crowd before going all the way up. Torpedo splash – meets feet, in an excellently shot spot. Rojo reaches down to cover, Stuka small package by surprise one two NO. Maya demands a faster count and argues about it. Rojo picks Stuka up, Stuka slaps Rojo in the ropes, Rojo back with a kick. Rojo 'rana blocked in to Stuka doing the Dragon Bomb one two NO! That would've been the greatest. Stuka chops Rojo in the corner, corner whip, reversed, Rojo flipped to the apron, Rojo chops him twice, smashes him him into the buckle, and lands the top rope stomp to the back. Rojo up, slipping a little bit, getting his footing, top rope splash one two three. Dragon Rojo can do Stuka's finish better than Stuka can do Dragon Rojo's finish, though Dragon Rojo uses that move all the time. It's all about practice! Replay of the finish.

Maya and Puma in and chopping. Maya off the ropes, Felino helps with a clothesline and sits up Maya with a Puma dropkick. Felino lifts up Maya for a Puma sit down powerbomb, one two Shocker slaps Puma to break it up. Shocker off the ropes, over, under, clothesline misses, Puma kick, kick, superkick combo. Puma poses and yells at the crowd. Puma chop. Corner whip, charge in, Shocker moves, Puma walks out into a Shocker spinning heel kick. Casita, one Felino break it up. Shocker shoves him, spins him around for a stunner, and holds him there for Puma to accidentally kick in the head. Puma is so sorry, then decide to take out his anger with chops on Shocker. Shocker wins that, this his jab and his big punch to the face. Corner whip, Puma kicks Shocker away, Puma springboard front cracker is evaded, Shocker turns into an front bridging cradle. Break.

CMLL Cartela: Tuesday @ Arena Mexico – Peste Negra + Dragon Rojo vs Euforia

La Mascara hypes next Friday's card. The six guys he names – Volador, Marco, Máximo, Negro, Diamante Azul and Titan – are indeed on Friday's card, but Mascara is not.

Tama Tonga misses a big running boot, and Guerrero Maya gives him a stunner. Corner whip, reversed, reversed again, Tama goes in chest first, and Maya rams him with a double knee to the back. One two NO. Maya with chest slaps to Tonga and punches to the head, which leave him staggered but now down. Maya off the ropes, tossed up and brought down with a big Tonga spinebuster, one two three.

Máximo in, and Tama is very intimidated. He backs up, then just runs out of the ring. Felino has no fear, and clotheslines and elbow drops Máximo. Two count. Máximo comes back with his own offensive run off a whip, and Felino topples thru the ropes and out to the ramp. Rojo and Shocker in and exchanging groups of chops. Shocker gives Rojo a big hiptoss, then the double chop and tries for a half crab armbar. Rojo doesn't seem to be giving, but Felino breaks it up to be sure. Máximo comes back in for him, but gets freaked out by the chop battle. Máximo tells Felino stops, kisses him, inside cradle one two three. Down to Máximo & Shocker vs Tama Tonga & Dragon Rojo

Máximo turns to smile at the crowd, but Dragon Rojo races in and inside cradles him. Replay of the finish, then back live to see Máximo untying Rojo's mask. Rojo recovers and urns Máximo corner to corner for clotheslines. Rojo up top – plancha flattens Máximo for a pin, but only two. Rojo grabs Máximo, Máximo small package for two. Rojo swings, Máximo inside cradle one two NO. Both up at about the same time, Máximo grabs Rojo's loose mask, Rojo fouls him, Máximo pulls the mask off as he falls backwards, and the ref disqualifies them both immediately. Replays of this.

Down to Shocker & Tama to settle it, Tama taken his time come in. That gives them time for the matchup graphic. Chop fight, won by Tama eye rake. Tama tries to run to the ropes, but Shocker pulls him down by his hair, then pulls him up by his hair. Shocker off the ropes, dropkick misses, Tama rolls out of the way. Tama off the ropes, pointed toe kick to Shocker's head. Tama is fired up. Tama waits for Shocker to get up, charges, Shocker flips him to – well, seemed like to the apron, but Tama tumbles to the floor. Shocker hosp to the outside off the ropes, and dives off for a plancha onto Tama. Shocker fixes his pants as he lays on the floor to recover. Replay. Shocker throws Tama back in, and grab Tama by the hair, but Tama gives him a stunner over the ropes . Tama pulls Shocker over the ropes, and gives him a hanging spinning neckbreaker. One two NO. Replay of that move. Tama leaves Shocker in the corner, backs all the way up, and connects on his big splash One two NO. Tama off the ropes, Tama spinebusters Shocker. Shocker suplexes Tama, holds on, suplex again, holds on, suplex – no, Tama small package one two NO. Both up, Tama blocked clothesline is turned into the reinera again, but this time Tama fights free to an inside cradle for two. Tama off the ropes, Shocker flips Tama with a clothesline. Shocker senton one two NO. Shocker clothesline misses, Tama Headshrinker one two three.

Hype for the Copa Junior final, and one more time with the 2013 guy.
