AAA Fusion #2 (10/17/2012)
Recapped: 10/19/2012

Consejo Paid Announcement: They're World Class, LA Park, Wagner, and all of AAA are not.

Open

Tecnicos in the opener say the Rockers may be presented a new member, but they're the best high flyers in Mexico. Samurai does his promo in English (calling those guys Kiss wannabes; hmm), and his partners are all confused. Alas!

Tonight: can LA Park & Dr. Wagner team up?

Tonight: Drago, Fenix, Aerostar, Samurai del Sol vs Devil Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker and a MYSTERY ROCKER. Cross your fingers for Marty Janetty.

Backstage, the Rockers blow fire. Machine introduces the newest member: Uro. Uro is a giant and wide guy.

Match 1: Aerostar, Drago, Fenix, Samurai del Sol vs Devil Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker, Uro Rocker
Sala de Armas Magdalena Mixhuca, 09/30/2012

Winner: Infierno Rockers
Match Time: 5:49 seen
Rating: bad, disappointing
Notes: Piero is the ref, and in the ring before the match. Aero does front rolls down the aisle, then blows fire in the ring. He and the Rockers must have heat over flames. He's got goggles now too. Infierno Rockers enter as a group, Uro looks more like giant Dracula than the other Rockers.

Match – at least the version on YouTube I see, which may be missing a couple minutes – is surprisingly brief. Uro turns down fighting the much smaller Drago and leaves. Drago takes care of Machine instead, including pulling off his hair by mistake on a faceslam. Drago pulls off his nifty headscissors when the rudos take him on two at a time, annoying Uro into shoving his allies. Drago tries a headscissors to the outside on Uro, only Uro has no idea how to actually turn over to take one of those and Drago drops on his head. Match halts while they check if either of them are alive. Match scarcely gets going before the break.

When I see the next part of the match, the técnicos have sent the other Rockers out, but Uro shrugs off the offense for a while. Uro catches two planchas, but the other two dropkick him in the back to turn it into a double DDT. Tecnicos double dropkick Uro into the ropes, but he almost can't get over. This cues a dive sequence. Uro can't catch a Drago tornillo. The other ones go better, of course, and Aerostar's springboard tornillo is last and looks the best. Uro makes it back in, and starts taking out the técnicos one by one, with his belt falling down his only real obstacle. Uro lines up the técnicos in the center of the ring, but other Rockers drag them near the ropes and do a hilarious version of the usual splashes and sentons by Super Porky's partners before he adds his splash. More hyperactive than silly. Uro plays Porky, and lands a top rope splash to end it.

Replays include not only the botch spot early, but the lesser Rockers using chairs in stuff I definitely didn't see in the match. I'm 99% sure the YouTube guy just didn't start recording after a break soon enough. It happens! Chairs probably weren't going to change my opinion on this one.

LA Park and Dr. Wagner do split screen interviews. They're both backstage, it's kind of silly. LA Park says he's not going to attack Wagner if Wagner doesn't attack him, but they're not going to be friends. Wagner says much the same. Announcers try to ask them about Consejo, but LA Park gets distracted talking about how many times he's beat Wagner and how he Wagner never will accept a mask match with him. LA Park wants no part of Wagner's family issues. Wagner points out how he's beat Park plenty of times and how he's not scared of doing a mask match. Park says beating Pierroth is a bigger deal than beating Mascara Año 2000 Jr., and that if you ask around - “including your brother Black Tiger” - everyone's says he's better. People in Mexico, people in the US, people in Japan. Wagner is totally ready for the mask match, but LA Park just writes it off as empty talk, Wagner doesn't have the huevos to do it. Wagner is trying to stay above the fray but is also bugged. Announcers wrap it up, but LA Park gets in one more shot.

Match 2: Dr. Wagner Jr. & LA Park vs Silver King & Texano Jr.
Sala de Armas Magdalena Mixhuca, 09/30/2012

Winner: Consejo by DQ
Match Time: 17:27
Rating: eh
Notes: Changuito is with Silver King. The cowboy hat is a good addition, I will not lie. Why do Consejo have separate entrance? LA Park is wearing his apron. Piero is referee.

Wagner and Park don't get along from the start. LA Park and Silver start on the mat, and include a couple bits where Silver has Park in a hold, and Wagner pulls the ropes back to make Park struggle to get to them a bit more, or kicks the ropes when Park has his foot on them. Park is unhappy with Wagner when he tags out, and won't do the Wagner touch. (Wagner is somehow surprised and offended. Dr. Wagner, jerk!) Park also made a big show of ignoring the match when Texano & Park were going thru near falls. The entire start felt at first more like a CMLL match than the usual AAA still, and then a US style match when Wagner was kicked from behind when running the ropes. Break there.

Consejo worked over Wagner for a long time after a break. LA Park acted inconsistently thru it, complaining about the rudo double teaming, then showing no interest in making a tag when he had the chance. It seemed like LA Park was bringing the referee over to help the Consejo to double team Wagner at times, and because he really was upset at other times. Wagner is stuck in the ring for a long time, long enough for he and Silver to untie each other's masks. Wagner kicks Silver in the head and his mask goes flying off. Silver drops down and covers up. This is weirder for Park and the announcers both bringing up LA Park unmasking Black Tiger III (aka Silver King), and the announcers noting Silver King's wrestled unmasked plenty. Silver gets the mask back with help from Changuito, who also decided to fight Wagner and gets spanked. Wagner randomly makes the tag to LA Park, Silver just allowing him over with no build up and no real action from LA Park. Wagner stays in to make his own comeback on Silver, then Park runs in and promptly gets DDTed by Texano. LA Park immediately goes back on offense, so that made no sense. Park sends Texano out and follows with a a flying knee lift off the apron. Wagner and Silver come back in for a brief bit leading to Wagner's Torando DDT and usual dive. Park and Texano come in one final time, gets a few near falls (including one off Diamante Azul's corner senton), but gets crotched climbing to the top rope. Texano pulls him off with a DDT, and that's when Mesías runs in. Mesías hits Texano with the bullrope, so much that Texano is out, and it's a few seconds before Piero can get some room to raise Texano's hands for the DQ.

Mesías resumes hitting Texano, with everyone else – Silver included – just standing and watching. Mesías gets the microphone while the Consejo guys finally check on each other. Mesías says hello to the crowd, and apologizes for running in on their match, because Texano did it last week. Mesías says Texano wants a shot, but he's not as good as Texano. Texano says, again, he demonstrated why he should be challenger. Silver has to get in his two cents and challenge Wagner because he's the better son. Wagner points out how he unmasked Mascara at TripleMania and says Silver is just wearing a mask because he's bald. They start to play music, but LA Park stops it to yell at Texano, and then yell at the not present Jeff and Karen Jarrett. They start to wrap again, but LA Park has to get the microphone to say the three técnicos would be the best trio in the world. Air guitar!

That's it.
