Match 1: Aereo & Último Dragoncito vs Pequeño Universo 2000 & Pequeño Violencia
Arena Mexico, 10/09/2012

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:17
Rating: eh
Notes: Referee is Tigre Hispano.

1: Aereo & Universo start with mat wrestling in front of a less than excited crowd. They get some time, ticking to armdrags and armbars. Highlight is Universo going for a takedown and Aereo unexpectedly dropkicking him in the head. Universo is done after that one, so Dragoncito and Pequeño Violencia pick it up. One casadora armdrag goes well for Dragoncito, the next doesn’t, but Violencia still misses a senton. Dragoncito spinning armdrag works, dropkick that follows misses, and Violencia dropkicks him out. Aereo tries to come in with a top rope sunset flip, but jumps too far and misses. Violencia kindly falls backwards into it, but no count. Crowd is not that kind. Universo slaps Aereo into a Pequeño Violencia spinebuster and legscissors and finishes Dragoncito himself.

2: Rudo beatdown of Aereo is only notable for a Violencia dropkick. This is a slow paced match with Aereo in. Dragoncito tries to pick it up, but Violencia trips him and stomps him for a bit. Dragoncito evades the corner whip, sends the rudos into each other, then uses Violencia to set up a headscissors on Universo. Dragoncito leads Violencia into a a top rope tope con giro from Aereo, then Aereo submits Universo while Dragoncito rolls up Violencia.

3: Universo carefully runs into a monkey flip. Dragoncito headscissors him out and rolls a bit to his pose. Aereo magically evades Violencia before he’s even off the ropes. His timing is not great. Aereo gets sent to the apron, but armdrags and dropkicks Violencia out. Universo has a moment of offense before being dropped with a northern lights suplex. Aereo sets Universo in front of the corner, top rope moonsault misses, Aereo landing badly on his leg. He seems okay, and Universo takes care of him with a step over armbar.

Universo celebrates before remembering the rules. Dragoncito sunset flip one two NO. Dragoncito standing octopus hold, Universo is done.

Dragoncito waits for Violencia to come in, chanting for Mexico in his meantime. Dragoncito off the rope, powerbomb, nudo lagunero, that’s that.

Match 2: Ángel Azteca Jr., Metatrón, Molotov vs Artillero, Hijo del Signo, Súper Comando
Arena Mexico, 10/09/2012

  1. técnicos

  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:41
Rating: okay
Notes: The World’s Most Boring Técnico Trio! Referee is Tirantes.

1: Angel Azteca, back with new gear and a new plain gray t-shirt, starts with Artillero on the mat. Artillero also seems to have a new mask. They do the bridging/rest on stomach spot; I just heard which British guy came up with that spot, and now I’ve already forgotten. Casadora armdrag sends Artillero out. Metatron and Hijo del Signo in, only Bucanero seems to immediately remember Metatron’s name. Signo armdrags him around. Metatron holds Signo in a chinlock for a while. Signo holds Metatron in a wristlock for a lesser while, then armdrags Metatron away. Fireman’s drop for two! Tags can not come soon enough. Molotov jumps in, but Super Comando kicks him down and kicks him repeatedly on the mat. Super Comando is excited, which makes one. Crowd is doing the rudo song pretty loud, to be fair. Molotov knocks Comando down with a back elbow, sends him into the ropes, casadora armdrag, and grabs the ropes to flip into another armdrag. Chest slap causes Super Comando to timber over. Corner whip, reversed, Molotov kips up and out, Super Comando sunset flip, roll thru, Super Comando monkey flip, Molotov lands on his feet, Artillero in with a plancha, técnicos try to break up the pin and elbow drop their partners. Artillero splashes everyone, they toss him off, Signo off the top, técnicos roll out of the way and Signo hits the mat. All the técnicos beat all the rudos. That picked up in the last minute.

2: Azteca powerslams Signo for two. Azteca flipping run sets up a slow armdrag. Signo boots Azteca down, but then throws himself out of the ring on a missed charge, and Azteca fakes a dive. Metatron nearly lands on his head on a rope flip armdrag, but pulls of a flipping armdrag and a dropkick out a little better. Comando gets Molotov down on the mat for stomps and whips him into his fellow rudo’s boots. Kick to the face, out goes Molotov. Super Comando successful! Artillero attacks Metatron from behind, so the beatdown is on. Signo with a clothesline and a spine kick. Artillero adds a backdrop. Tag to Molotov, who just gets stomped down by the rudos. Azteca tries to come in to help, is kicked right out, then brought in because they need someone to beat. Artillero kicks Azteca down in the corner, Azteca braces for something to happen, and Artillero just throws him out. Maybe he can work on that. Comando dumps Metatron in front of the corner, Artillero top rope splash one two three. Artillero begs off to sucker Metatron into a shot from behind, then whips him into a Signo’s spinebuster. Nudo Signo and this fall is done.

3: Rudos still in control, and just kicking and stomping people down. Metatron is hung over the top rope for a big Signo kick to the face. Everyone forearms Molotov down again. Rudos set up for a triple dropkick, técnicos pull out the Militia, and Molotov quebradoras Hijo del Signo. Molotov goes for Signo’s mask while the other guys brawl outside. We see more of the mask pull then the outside, of course. Artillero breaks that up with a kick, and sidesteps a Metatron dropkick. Metatron comes back with armdrags, out goes Artillero, out goes Metatron with a tope, just pushing off Artillero to get there. Super Comando up top – plancha onto Metatron. Azteca and Signo in – no, Azteca out with a slingshot tope con giro onto Super Comando. Signo runs for his dive, but Molotov cuts him off with a plancha of his own for two. Molotov clothesline misses, Signo suplex, blocked and Molotov small package for two. Molotov ‘rana one two NO. Molotov inverted springboard – into a Signo uppercut. Very obvious, Signo really need some distraction help from his partners there. Tirantes calls the DQ.

Match 3: Ángel de Oro, La Máscara, Rey Cometa vs Black Warrior, Niebla Roja, Puma King
Arena Mexico, 10/09/2012

  1. técnicos

  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 10:14
Rating: good
Notes: Joined with the rudos all ready stomping down the técnicos. Referee is Tigre Hispano.

1: Puma shoulderblock Cometa out of the ring, and pitches him up the ramp. Mascara and Warrior start proper, while Cometa is still laying on the ground. Mascara gets a foot up on a charge and headscissors Warrior to the ropes, but misses his own corner charge. Warrior grabs his arm, and Niebla Roja slingshot in to forearm it. Whip, back elbow, yell at the crowd. Snap mare, dropkick to the head one two NO. Mascara sneaks in an iffy quebradora, and tags in Cometa, who flies in with a plancha. Evasion ends with Puma kicking Cometa form the outside. Niebla tags him in. Whip, over, and flipped by a Puma clothesline. Whip, flapjack, and dropkick out. Oro in, kipping under a clothesline and superkicking Puma over. Niebla in and facing off with him with Angel de Oro. Hmm. They do a micro face off and then are tentative with each other. Oro misses a clothesline, Roja comes back and behind for a cristo, Oro escapes, quickly, Roja boots him in the corner, charges, Roja misses a boot, Oro with the Skayde Special for three. Cometa takes care of Puma at the same time, then slowly chases him up the aisle.

2: Cometa goes after Puma's mask. That doesn't work, but throwing him back into the ring does work. Puma continues to ask for a timeout. Everyone else stands around and watches, then Warrior attacks Máscara to get time moving again. Warrior misses a corner splash and easily gets pun out by a Mascara shoulderblock. Warrior recover to slap Mascara in the corner, corner whip, reverses, Warrior out, Máscara out, superkick, slingshot into post like usual. Puma back elbows Mascara as he comes in and celebrates. Whip, Mascara rolls, Puma dropkicks him in the backside. Cometa up on the ropes to argue, and Puma slaps him to the floor. Puma out after him - powerbomb lift, swing into the barricade. No waiting for a headscissors this time. Roja clotheslines Angel de Oro. Warrior lifts Oro up so Roja can kick him on the way down. Cometa back in, Warrior sunset flip reversal to send Cometa into a double dropkick. That looked harsh. Puma drags Cometa by his hair – which appears to be turning green – and whips him into to corner. Charge, Cometa puts Puma on the top, climbs up too, and Puma reverses to the press powerbomb – only Cometa over-rotates and lands on the back of his head. Karla freaks out, so do I. That's more than enough for the pin. Niebla Roja gets the cristo slam he wanted before for the other pin.

The doctor is in and checking on Rey Cometa. Elsewhere, the rudos hold Mascara so Warrior can get his legdrop in. Replay, and the announcers are still freaking out about how he fell.

3: Puma knocks Cometa down on the ramp, then tries to pick him up by the foot. I guess Cometa is doing better. Cometa swings, can't reach puma, and Puma kicks him low. Tigre Hispano was looking the wrong way, I guess. In the ring, Niebla Roja goes after Angel de Oro's mask and gets into an argument with Tigre Hispano. Warrior kicks Angel de Oro down. Warrior and Mascara again end up in after things have settled down. Warrior splashes Máscara in the corner once, misses the next time, and hangs out there long enough to sucker Mascara into an attack from behind. Whip, double clothesline misses, Máscara superkicks Warrior, rudos back elbow him anyway. Whip gets turned into a tope on Warrior anyway. Cometa in with a headscissors on Puma, Niebla Roja kicks him out, and Angel de Oro in to face him. Niebla Roja not happy. Oro flipping run, armdrag for Niebla, rope flip into a headscissors to send Roja out. Oro fakes the dive with a handspring, but turns into a Puma King superkick. Cometa flips in, but Puma dropkicks him too, and pounds him with punches. Whip, Rey Cometa handspring into a headscissors, out goes Puma. Cometa off the ropes, Brillo Tornillo just barely gets there while Oro moonsaults Niebla Roja at the same time. Warrior and Mascara back in. Warrior misses a clothesline, Mascara casadora, campana, Warrior – gives. Puma was just short of breaking it up.

CMLL History: the first women's match in EMLL, in the early 30s. Because they don't have any movie footage of women's wrestling, they turn recent footage in black and white. Also, pictures of Mae Young, because she did wrestler in Mexico, though they probably could do better than that one Royal Rumble.

Volador starts to crawl with 10 seconds left, but he's never getting there. Volador hurries up and gets on top, one [times up], two, kickout. Volador is so confused. Crowd boos.

Sombra says both of them know they can't finish this in 10 minutes. Sombra demands a rematch in three falls. Volador says Sombra is not as good as him, and he can prove it if they just go ten more minutes. Sombra's ready to go. Referee slides the microphone out and blocks them from fighting. Volador gets the microphone back, and asks the crowd if they want ten more minutes. Sombra is taking his wrist tape off, which contradicts his act that he really wants keep fighting. Crowd chanting for ten minutes. Announcers want ten more minutes. Both luchadors and the referee go talk to Rambo, who truly wants no part in of this. Rambo pulls out his phone and calls someone. Bucanero somehow knows he's calling El Fantasma! This phone call lasts about 10 seconds, and Rambo's shaking his finger no. Sombra goes back to the ring anyway, but Volador is backed up the ramp by Maya. Crowd is unhappy. Volador and Sombra go back to the ring anyway to fight it out, but are kicked out again.

Match 5: Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Shocker vs Kráneo, Olímpico, Psicosis
Arena Mexico, 10/09/2012

  1. Invasors

  2. técnicos
  3. Invasors

Winner: Invasors
Match Time: 8:38
Rating: short
Notes: They still have time for entrances? Ring announcer talks about En Busca de un Idolo in Delta's introduction, which Delta was not in. He meant Forjando, it's all very confusing. Mije is with Kraneo, who has changed his mask again. The Invasors are all getting separate entrances? Olímpico might be a dancing pharaoh now, I'm not sure. I'm not sure he's sure. Definitely not a funky pharaoh. Referee is Tirantes.

1: Shocker and Olímpico start for holds, but turns into a chop fight rather quick. Shocker armdrags Olímpico out on the run, and chases him around the ring. Well, Olímpico runs, Shocker walks, Olímpico is ready to tag out by the time Shocker makes it back in. Shocker convinces him to stay. Shot of jumping girl in the crowd amuses the crowd. Okay, tags to May and Psicosis. Maya headscissors off the mat, then a tirabuzón hooked on the run. Kraneo breaks that up, and Delta and Maya chases Kraneo back to his corner. Maya and Psicosis tart again, Maya armdrags Psicosis and captures him in a 'rana, but Kraneo breaks that up again. Técnicos back Kraneo off, Maya chasing him to the aisle, and Kraneo laying down on the ground. Psicosis clothesline blocked, and Maya northern lights suplexes him. Olímpico rush into break it up, but Shocker breaks him to the punch, literally. Punch from Psicosis, but Kraneo attacks Shocker, and the rudos clear off the other two. Shocker taken down, Mije in, Kraneo throws him on top, Kraneo adds an elbow drop, one two – and Kraneo gets up? And they count it as three anyway? Tirantes was obscured by the pin, maybe we missed the first count? It's over, Shocker turns out to be captain. Hyper girl in the crowd is so happy to be on TV.

Replay shows all three, so I must've just missed one. Just before they go to break, Tirantes turns towards the stage with a “well, what do you want ME to do about it?” expression. Invasors look equally confused. Hmmm.

2: Psicosis stomps down Delta as they pick up. Delta tries to fight back, but gets knocked down. Whip, headscissors by Delta, only Olímpico rushes into kick himd own. Kraneo tagged in too, and Delta's lifted up for the swinging gate bomb. Even though Kraneo was counting, all three are in, so Tirantes has reason to count – one, two, three, four, five, six – FALL OVER! The ol' six count! Rudos, who were leaving in plenty of time under normal rules, remarkably do not argue. Maya does not argue and takes the free win.

Kraneo is confused, then tells the other rudos they might as well just attack the other team. Brawling everywhere. Kraneo does stop to argue in here. C3 breaks away to show a replay of the powerbomb. Announcers gamely try to explain how it's a DQ for too many people in. Sure.

3: Rudos brawling around. Olímpico and Maya in, so a clothesline and a cutter for the técnico. Delta back in, and takes a sliding dropkick from Kraneo. Big back suplex. Kraneo tags in Psicosis while Tirantes checks to see if Delta is still alive. Replay of the back suplex. Whip, double backdrop, Delta lands on his feet, Psicosis dropkicks but only gets Kraneo. Delta kicks down Olímpico and slaps Psicosis into the ropes. Whip, reversed, Psicosis dropkicks Delta out. Delta's not sure if he's supposed to roll out or not. Shocker storms in to fight someone, but Psicosis leaves at the same time and no one comes in. They're a bit out of sorts. Olímpico stalls, then comes in. Good time to stall, when everyone is freaking out about time. Olímpico dropkicks Shocker down. Whip, reversed, Shocker quebradora, quebradora, quebradora. Olímpico rolls out, grabbing his back. Kraneo in, offering a handshake, but kicking Shocker into the corner. Kraneo with chest slaps, three, before Shocker blocks and gives back his own. Corner whip, reversed, Kraneo charges in, Shocker moves, Kraneo out, Shocker backdrops him. Shocker off the ropes, big boot knocks Kraneo down, knocks him down before he gets there. Mije attacks Shocker, Shocker, heel kicks him, harsh. Olímpico kicks Shocker out, Maya in and dropkick Olímpico out. Maya runs, but Psicosis trips him up and out. Kraneo back in – KRANEO TOPE ON MAYA! It was nice to know Guerrero Maya. Delta springboard planchas Psicosis, Psicosis kicks Delta into the corner, Delta flips to him to the apron the charge, Psicosis chops him away and then points out Olímpico is behind him. Delta slide at Olímpico, Olímpico leaps over, Delta kicks Olímpico, grabs him, they both talk for a moment, Olímpico hangs Delta over the top rope and Psicosis drops him with a guillotine legdrop to the middle of the back. Three count there, there count for Olímpico with a cradle on Shocker, that's it.

Tirantes bolts for the back, grabbing at his earpiece on the way out. Invasors celebrate. Replays. Announcers wrap up, hoping they'll see Sombra vs Volador in a rematch.
