Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 13:13
Rating: bleh
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra

1: Pairs are Astral/Olímpico, Halcón/Violencia, Ultimo Dragoncito/Pequeño Warrior. Usual increasing action. Warrior moves full speed with Ultimo Dragoncito, but is literally walking thru spots with Astral. His walking is matched by Astral running up the ropes and slipping on a plancha; Warrior counter dropkick is nowhere close because Astral fell and because Warrior wasn't in position soon enough to adjust. Astral says down as if he's died – of embarrassment, maybe – and maybe because that was the finish. Warrior adds in his slingshot elbow drop because he's not a complete fool. Olímpico has Halcón submitted in the meantime. Fans boo and they should.

2: Astral's problems continue, as Violencia attempts to give him something that's halfway between a flapjack and a backdrop, and Astral just lands on his face. I think that one's on Violencia, actually, but Astral is the one who got to land on his face. It then takes Violencia two tries to chokeslam not that big Pequeño Halcón. Violencia kicks Halcón while he's down. Warrior slingshot in, barely taping Halcón with his foot, and Halcón goes down like he's been run over. Dragoncito only comes in to sidestep a Warrior corner charge and start the comeback. Rudos bump, and Dragoncito clears the rudos out for a bout a minute by himself. Violencia finally dropkicks Dragoncito out to give the other guys a chance. Halcón looks very unsteady. Violencia take a hiptoss to the ramp to set up an Astral tope con giro there. Halcón submits Warrior with a rolling a tapatía, barely pausing to hold Warrior up.

3: Dragoncito has a brief showcase. Cut to a shot of a girl totally asleep. Halcón's run of offense ends with Warrior dropkicking him out and Violencia holding him for the required slingshot legdrop. Rudos quickly finish the other técnicos to take this home.

Match 2: Estrellita, Lady Afrodita, Luna Mágica vs La Comandante, La Seductora, Lady Apache

Winner: rudas (2-1)
Match Time: 13:50
Rating: bad
Notes: Referee is Pompin. Estrellita is wearing her Wonder Woman outfit.

1: Pairs are Luna/Seductora, Comandante/Afrodita, and Comandante/Estrellita. Luna, who had been hitting people hard since returning from Japan, is oddly soft with Seductora. Afrodita is fine when the much larder Comandante is destroying here, not so much on offense. There's an especially drunk blonde in the crowd that they're like to keep showing. A lot of crowd shots this week. Comandante probably is meant to be tagging out to Apache, but Estrellita so annoys her with her dances that she stays in. Estrellita's has a punch flurry she should never do again. Apache does come in after Comandante misses a splash and takes a dropkick out. Apache works hard at positioning herself or Estrellita's offense. Estrellita gets a reverse rollup to work, but Comandante breaks up. Afrodita and Luna improbable get the best of Comandante and Seductora for the fall while the other two just disappear, then return for a poor chase.

2: Seductora and Luna continue to be bad for each other. Apache goes on offense on Estrellita for about 20 seconds, and it's the best 20 seconds of the match. Comandante resumes throwing Afrodita around. Rudos very lightly hit Estrellita, then Seductora nearly looses her on a side slam. Lady Apache drops Estrellita with a faceslam, then pulls her up on a three count. Comandante chokeslams Estrellita onto her side. Still not done. Apache works hard to get a complicated submission that's just not happening, and Estrellita gets pinned anyway.

3: Comandante gives Lady Afrodita a 5 spin giant swing with ease and with out Afrodita helping much. Estrellita reverses a corner whip to send Lady Apache into a double boot (to no reaction.) Luna nearly botches the bulldog again, but turns around and makes it a faceslam after running past. They both knock Seductora off the apron, and give Comandante the worst double dropkick possible. Luna gets caught in the ropes on a tope and is lucky Comandante is standing way too close. Seductora slowly puts Estrellita in a headscissors armbar submission. Lady Apache taps out Afrodita anyway.

Match 3: Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Stuka Jr. vs Black Warrior, Kráneo, Psicosis

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:44
Rating: ok given the time
Notes: Warrior goes after Maya before the whistle, leading the rest of the rudos to attack the rest of the técnicos. Stuka is wearing an outfit matching Delta's colors, hmmm. Referee is Bestia Negra.

1: Brawling around the ring, including Warrior kicking Maya around ringside. They come back inside, where Maya takes a Stunner oddly, falling over Warrior. Warrior takes him down to a chinlock before they get back up for Maya to start a mini comeback. Warrior armdrags him and holds him down in armbar, Warrior kips up and armdrags him away, Warrior comes right back with a clothesline. Warrior slaps Maya in the corner, Maya kip sup up and escape, Warrior spears him, then pulls the invisible rope. Replay of the spear, which had some impact. Maya comes back with a headscissors and a dropkick to knock Warrior down, then mocks Warrior's dance. Warrior trips up Maya on the ropes and hits a slow 619. Back in for a step over into a short armscissors – and that’s it! No one tagged in! Shots of the singer for Sunday, who cares. Kraneo beats up Stuka just so he can feel like he helped out.

2: Psicosis goes for Stuka's mask, but Stuka gives him a quebradora. Kraneo gets into hit Stuka, but Stuka gets free enough to tag in Delta. Delta has no plan, though, and Kraneo drops him with a Michinoku Driver. Mije adds a low blow headbutt. Warrior kicks around Maya on the ramp in the meantime. Stuka takes a double back elbow and a double boot that’s not much good. Stuka start to leave, but Kraneo and Psicosis keep him in for a double suplex instead. Mije comes in for the big splash. Psicosis covers, but Terror chino rules Stuka's head is not complete down on the mat and holds up the count for a second. Silla two count. Stuka just gets up and drops Psicosis in position for a splash, but Warrior kicks him off the apron before he gets there. Delta comes in, and Warrior makes it clear he'd rather face Maya. Maya does comes in, and Warrior leaves. What was the comeback here? Stuka just did a move, and now people are walking around randomly. Warrior and Maya come back to the ring, still not having anything done but point to the crowd. Warrior knocks Maya down with an elbow, shoves him in the corner, and looks at the crowd. Corner whip, slide out by Warrior, slide out by Maya , Maya gets in a heel kick and Warrior goes down. Slingshot into the post, check. Stuka finishes Psicosis with one move, and Delta somehow manages to lift and drop Kraneo in position for his move.

3: Delta's offense includes a handspring headscissors on Psicosis. Stuka has to help him dropkick around Kraneo to get a control of him, and they both mange to clothesline Kraneo the floor to set up a tope and tope con giro. Warrior and Maya in, Maya forced up but missing a dropkick. Warrior covers for two. Maya's mask is loose. Maya casadora cradle one Warrior one two NO. Both slow up. Maya rope flip armdrag sends Warrior across the ring and out. Maya follows immediately with a tope. Delta and Psicosis back in, Delta shoulderblocks Psicosis down lightly, corner whip, reverses, Psicosis misses the corner charge but lands the layout frontcrakcer. Stuka in, 'rana blocked into a powerbomb. Kraneo runs the ropes and adds the big splash for the winning pinfall.

Match 4: Atlantis, Mistico, Titán vs Ephesto, Mephisto, Misterioso Jr.
Arena Mexico, 09/18/2012

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:17
Rating: ok
Notes: Titan gets last técnico entrance! It's his show. Misterioso is wearing his Santos jersey and has an extra mask with him. Avernos enter together. Mephisto is in his Bane outfit. Referee is Tirantes.

1: Atlantis and Misterioso start, but the rudos are quick to rush into and break it up. Tecnicos do not do the same with Misterioso gets Atlantis in a hold, and the rudos do it again when Atlantis reverses to one of his own holds. Rudos repeat a third time, causing Místico and Titan to storm in and storm back out after Tirantes tells them tog et lost. Atlantis finally strikes Mephisto on the apron on the ruda hiptosses Misterioso out, but makes the mistake of chasing the rudo out into the wrong side of time and gets attacked from behind. Místico takes Mephisto's flapjack and kick on the floor, which can not feel good. Rudos kick and throw around the rudos. Ephesto just randomly pins Atlantis to end the fall.

2: Rudos hold and hit until Atlantis sidesteps a corner charge to start the comeback. Quebradora for Ephesto and Misterioso set them up for a springboard headscissors from the other two, and tope con giros out. Mephisto runs into an Atlantida, though it take some work for Atlantis to get him in position. That's the fall. Titan drags Mephisto the barricade to slap him and throw him into it.

3: Atlantis gets first showcase, with the monkey flips and quebradoras. Titan, his long hair coming out of his mask, stats of with a handspring DDT on Misterioso, waits for Misterioso get up, and dropkicks him in the backside when hide doesn’t. Mephisto misses a dropkick, Titan off the rope, Ephesto hits him, and grabs him, Mephisto slaps, but get his ally. Off the rope evasion, Titan handwalk, Mephisto stares, Titan backflip headscissors and out goes Mephisto. Titan backflips to the floor and faces Mephisto there. Mephisto thinks about it, charges, misses his clothesline, and takes a headscissors on the floor. Titan kicks Mephisto while he's down. Místico in to boos, which have been mixed in whenever he's been in. Místico off the ropes, rope flip, under a clothesline, and back with a headscissors. Misterioso boots Místico in a headscissors on Mephisto, flips Místico the apron, takes a swinging kick, and a springboard headscissors. Fake dive pose. Bucanero is very existed about this tecnico, how odd. Titan comes back in with a plancha on a Mephisto. Ephesto lifts him up on the next pass, drops him on the mat, rudos slide out and hold him on the apron for an Ephesto dropkick to knock Titan to the floor. Místico nicely missile dropkicks Ephesto. Místico drops Ephesto with a spinebuster and blocks the usual Ephesto roll with a sit down for three.

Mephisto easily shoulderblocks Místico out. Atlantis misses a dropkick, leapfrogs Mephisto and they have a bit of problems with the usual monkey roll. Misterioso elbows Atlantis out, and Mephisto throws him hard into the barricade. Místico off the ropes, into the Gori Special! Mistieroso covers one two three. Big cheer.

Misterioso celebrates, but Titan springboard dropkick him from behind. Tirantes check on him, and Misses Mephisto fouling Titan. Tirantes turns around, looks, and counts three.

Titan growl-y challenges Mephisto to a mano vs mano match next week. Mephisto carefully reaches down for the microphone. He's audible thru his bane mask! Mephisto is not impressed by Titan's “small” wins, and he's going to demonstrate – pause to foul Titan again – that Titan is not in Mephisto's level. Ephesto clapping for Mephisto's dramatic performance is great. Mephisto talks some more, rips off Titan's makes for good measure.

Announcers wrap up. Headline: Místico did not win.
