Notes: Edecanes do a performance to La Mascara's entrances. Mascara wears mostly white, with light pink shirt and a silver emblem on his mask. Brazo de Oro is his second, and Mascara is wearing a Oro sleeve on his arm. Another group of girls dance to music Averno might use, if he ran a disco in hell and they were his dancers. Averno has his new robe and flames. This girls leave, and Mascara walks out to the ramp to confront Averno. Averno takes off his robe, then points at both sides. Averno clothesline e misses, and Mascara headscissors Averno right into the ring. Máscara in with a flying armdrag, which sends Averno right out. Máscara goes for the top, but Averno this him – with some metal object. A cookie sheet? Match hasn't started, can't really disqualify him for that. Replay makes it look like a metal tray. Both Mephisto and Ephesto are out for Averno . Referee is Babe Richard, who joins the doctor in checking on Mascara. Mascara bangs his feet on the mat in pain. Brazo de Oro argues with everyone, but the whistle blows, so this is on.
1: They're still outside, but Averno brings Mascara right back in. Ephesto checks out to backstage. Averno puts Máscara on the top rope and rips his mask apart. You're going to win it, you don't really need to do it. Máscara pulled off the middle rope hard, and Averno wastes no time: Devil's Wings. One two three. Mephisto is in the ring (and hitting the camera guy by mistake) before thee three count. Plenty of the crowd is very happy about this outcome. Replay of the tray to the head again, from multiple angles. Averno's beating up Máscara near the announcers in the meantime.

2: Averno is in no hurry. (He's got the full hour!) Mascara is bleeding thru his mask, though you can't tell it's blood and not coloring. Averno goes after the mask once again. Mascara out the apron, but Averno just runs him into the post. Averno struts around and poses on the ropes. Meanwhile, babe Richard and Brazo de Oro are getting into an argument. Mephisto may be antagonizing Brazo de Oro, but it looks like the older wrestler is the one having a problem. Averno tells Brazo de Oro to move out to he way, and knocks down Mascara. Averno goes back in, while Mascara staggers around ringside again. Máscara up to the apron, but Averno forearms him in the head. Post – no, Máscara puts on the break, swing kick, and flying DDT! Averno out, and Mascara topes him in the back! Replays show Máscara shoves him in the upper back right into the seats. Back in, Máscara flipping armdrag into a small package one two three.
Crowd shot randomly shows a fired up Shocker. I forget here was there, but he was the star of this match when it aired on El Luchador.

3: Mephisto and Averno huddle on the outside. No whistle? Averno back in. Circle, and Averno getting in a back elbow. Mascara stood up and slapped into the corner. Averno climbs the ropes, pounds his chest, and looks at the people. Corner whip, Máscara stops short, Averno charge in, and Mascara tosses him face first into the corner. Mascara off the ropes, flipping armdrag, and now it's Mascara's turn to rip up Averno's mask. Mascara cups his ear for the fans, very Hogan mannerism. Averno flips Mascara to the apron, Mascara swing kick, back in and off the ropes with a flying headscissors. Averno out in the same spot again, fans finally realizing they should move, and Máscara topples Averno with a slingshot tope con giro. Both seconds on the scene right way. Replay of the slingshot dive. Crowd shot. [On Samurai TV version – both make it back in, Mascara 'rana for two. Crowd loud for Mascara. Mascara off the ropes, kick caught, but he turns it into a casadora cradle for two. Mascara off the ropes, headscissors reversal powerbomb by Averno, two count. Both up, Mascara trips up Averno and -] Averno flips Mascara to the apron, forearm knocks Mascara down, and Averno goes out to kick him down there. Averno backs up and points up, and Máscara superkicks Averno right off the apron. Mascara waits for Averno to get up, 'rana – no, Averno powerbombs Mascara into the post instead! Replay of that, Mascara was well broke. Crowd loud with the rudos chant. Averno back in, tope con giro takes out Mascara. Replay of that. Babe Richard counts out both, but Averno makes it back in first. I'm not mentioning them, but they're putting up Místico Nueva Era plugs frequently. Mascara climbs to the top, flying 'rana turned into a powerbomb one two NO. Crowd actually thought that was it, or is that into it right now. Replay. Averno pulls himself up first. Pumphandle front slam one two NO. Mascara chant going. Both men slow up already, just over five minutes into this fall. Averno waves for support. He grabs Máscara by the head and calls for the end. Devil's Wings – no, Mascara escapes, casadora, campana – no, Averno blocks his arms and crawls to the ropes – he's got the bottom rope. Mascara frustrated. Crowd shot, because they've actually got one here. Crowd louder for Mascara now. Averno up and kicking, charges again, and Máscara hiptosses him to the floor. Mascara charges, Averno ducks down Mascara slides out, Averno tosses him back up to the apron, and Máscara jumps of with a headscissors to send Averno into the into the front row. Replay. Mascara up and waiting for Averno to do it, so how about a slow pan of the arena. Footage they can use to advertise every other show this year! Back in the match, Averno's made it in first, but Mascara slaps him anyway, then tries a top rope sunset flip. Averno rolls thru. Mascara off the ropes, torito almost fails but Averno makes it work one two NO. Crowd chanting for Mascara again. Mascara shoulderblocks, springboard casadora, Averno shoves him off, Averno inside cradle one two NO. Both men readjust what's left of their masks. Mascara sets Averno on the top rope and slaps him. Mascara climbs up, Averno double jab, hooking the arms, nodding – super Devil's Wings! Avernos says that's it and covers one two th-NO. Big reaction to the kickout. Brazo de Oro talks to his son from outside the ring.
10 minutes. Both guys slowly pull themselves up. Mascara up first, but Averno running first and headscissoring Mascara out. Averno jumps to the apron, stands on the middle rope, and lands the Asai moonsault. Crowd is starting to cool down a little bit, but that allows the rudo fans to get their chant heard. Frantic towel waving by the seconds. Averno in first, Máscara up on the apron, Averno cuts his throat and grabs Mascara, suplex in, Máscara slips behind, Averno's clothesline misses, Mascara Devil's Wings! Boos as he's trying it, Mascara covers withs one arm one two NO. A cheer for Averno as he kicks out. Mascara off the ropes, flipping small package one two NO! Crowd into the nearfalls. Both guys need a moment, but the crowd chanting Mascara gives them some time. Another crowd shot of the huge crowd. Máscara whipped into the corner, Averno charges, Mascara flips him to the apron, Averno slaps him back, and climbs up, Máscara swing kicks him off to the floor, and then flattens him with a plancha to the floor. Replay of that. Babe Richard again puts on the count. Máscara back in first, but posing on his knees. Averno sneaks in for the cavernaria. A lot of mask yanking on this one, but Mascara still won't give. Averno up and missing a dropkick. Mascara charges, Averno powerbombs him, feet on the middle rope, one two NO. I don't know how Babe Richard missed the feet on the ropes, he was looking right on them. Brazo de Oro makes the same argument on the outside. Averno picks Mascara up, slams him, and heads out to the apron. Averno points out at the crowd once more and adjusts his mask. Crowd not thrilled with the idea. Averno climbs up, poses, top rope senton con giro misses long. Mascara lays on top one two NO. That would be a horrible way to lose your mask. Mascara up to his feet, Averno still down. Máscara picks him up, slams Averno, and goes out to the apron. Máscara up to the top rope himself. Senton con giro that misses, Mascara rolls thru, takedown, leglock, Averno small package one two NO. Crowd shot shows some people who are usually (and later on) really close up moved way back in the crowd. It's that kind of show. Máscara casadora, campana – no, Averno kicks him off, Averno casadora cradle one two NO. I don't think that's what Averno wanted but it's what he ended up with and went with it. Máscara casadora, no, Averno shoves him down, and goes for the campana himself. Legs hooked, one arm hooked – both arms hooked! Averno can't hold it! Máscara breaks away before Averno can start swinging him. Mephisto is frustrated, they were so close. Averno waves for support. Both slow up. Mephisto pours some water on Averno, and then both men in the match get to their feet. Mascara dropkick to the knee, casita (heavy boos), Averno shoves him off, casita, foot into the ropes but Averno frees himself, one two Máscara kicks the middle rope with a foot of his own. Máscara pounds the mat, kicks the bottom rope and gets up fired up. Maybe kick Averno? Averno is panicked. Off the ropes, Mascara slides under, flips out of a tilt-a-whirl, under a clothesline, kick, Devil's Wings. No pin, Mascara picks Averno up, and gives him a second Devil's Wings. Casadora, campana, Averno's trapped – and Averno gives. Crowd finds a decibel level I didn't know they could reach.
Brazo de Oro carries around his son on his shoulders. Lots of the usual fireworks for the win. Máximo and Brazo de Plata walk to the ring with a Mascara poster. Mephisto consoles Averno. Mascara's youngest kicks is brought in the ring, and is a little freaked out. , but Máscara calms them down enough to pose together. Ina n interview, Mascara says Averno is one of the greatest luchadors in CMLL and shakes his hand. Ephesto has returned. A sad Averno thanks the people. Averno does his own name reveal: Renato Ruiz Cortes, 34, and gives credit to Mascara for being better on this day. The rudos hug, and Mephisto and Ephesto remove Averno's mask. Averno hands it to Máscara and shakes his hand as confetti shoots off. Rudos hug one more time. Averno poses on the middle buckle. Rudos walk off, and we don’t' see much of the técnicos in the ring.
