Match 1: Camaleón & Freesbe vs Bobby Zavala & Cholo
Arena Mexico, 02/21/2012

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:43
Rating: eh
Notes: Referee is Pompin.

1: Pairs are Freesbe/Cholo. Zavala/Camaleon. Both are very basic the first time, and bleed into each other on the second. Flipping armdrag sends Zavala, out, Cholo shoulderblock sends Camaleon out, Freesbe springboard casadora meets faceslam, and, Cholo holds him in a modified cavernaria for the submission. Camaleon leaps into Zavala's dropkick to set up his finish.

2: Double boot for Freesbe. Announcers are still totally unaware Camaleon is no longer Super. Maybe they're rebelling, sticking up against the man. Double backdrop, dropkick to the back for him. Corner whip, Zavala corner clothesline, Zavala boost dropkick. Camaleon in and taking down Zavala, but Cholo knees him and Zavala punches him a bit. Corner whip, Freesbe flips Camaleon to safety, ducks Zavala and headscissors Cholo. Bobby kicks Freesbe, Camaleon springboard dropkick Zavala, Cholo sends Camaleon out with a flipping armdrag (!) Freebse tries to run in to Cholo, and just gets smacked back. Whip, toss, and Freesbe down the other side with an armdrag. Cholo clothesline blocked, Freesbe short clothesline, STF there, Camaleón escapes a sunset flip and puts an ankle lock on Bobby! Submission specialists, these two. That's enough for the fall.

3: Camaleón gets the best of Bobby, who wriggles his way out of the ring, hangs in the ropes, and waits to be kicked to the floor. Camaleón makes good on that. Freesbe armdrags Cholo and hops to his shoulders for a headscissors. Armdrag sends Cholo to the apron, and he runs to avoid a Freesbe dive there. Zavala pulls down his straps for a chop fight, then doesn't really chop. Oh well. Off the ropes evading, Camaleon springboard armdrag, Zavala stays in, Camaleón takes too long, and Bobby dropkick him. Double chop knocks the técnicos down. Cholo pulls Camaleon to the floor, and Zavala adds a pescado splash all the way to the floor. Cholo sunset flip into a double arm scissors on Freesbe too eliminate him, and Camaleon is counted out. Pompin counts loud

Match 2: Aereo, Pequeño Halcón, Último Dragoncito © vs Demus 3:16, Pequeño Olímpico, Pierrothito ©

  2. rudos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:28
Rating: eh
Notes: Graphic lists Nino de Acero, even though Demus has taken his place. Referee is Rodolfo.

1: Cascading pairs. Most is not that interesting, but Dragoncito looks spectacular with Demus. Dragoncito later is way late on a flying sunset flip on Pierrothito and overshoots him. It's a mess, but rudos break it up anyway. Demus charge into a something from Aereo – the something is almost Aereo dumping him on his head. That was not good, neither is the flying double stomp that follows it. Halcón takes care of Olímpico while Dragoncito chases Pierrothito out

2: técnicos take turns setting up Olímpico for moves – the catapult clothesline bit by the younger técnicos look good. Demus dropkicks out Aereo, but takes a headscissors from Halcón. Dragoncito comes into help, but the rudos kick them before they can finish a double submission. Olímpico and Pierrothito both leapfrog Halcón, trip him up, and hold him for a Demus dropkick. Aereo chops everyone, is chopped down. Rudos hang him for a dropkick to the backside to the ramp. Flapjack and elbow drops for Dragoncito. Pierrothito finishes him off.

3: Halcón hung in the ropes for everyone to dropkick. Dragoncito held and booted out. Aero kicks away two rudos and jumping snap mares the second. Armdrag and dropkick focused comeback to send Everyone out. Demus comes back in and clotheslines Aereo to stop his run. Demus poses while Aereo takes a while to get back up. Chop blocked, Aereo walks up the ropes, off - into a Demus DVD! That was probably not his plan. Demus is very proud of himself. Aereo breathing very hard. Demus struts around! Chop. Whip, reversed, Demus gets the ropes, aero ends up armdragging him anyway. Aero flipping rebound armdrag to send Demus out. Halcón gets in his spots with Olímpico, does not look particular good doing it. Dragoncito headscissors Pierrothito out, fakes the big dive, and poses. Olímpico drops aero, sentons him, puts on a leg hold, and Aereo small packages him for three.

Halcón springboard planchas Demus for two, Demus sets him on the top rope on a corner charge, big valagueza. He's done.

Técnicos get the better of the rudos with dropkick. Whip, reversed, stereo inverted powerslams by the rudos. One two three.

Match 3: Pegasso, Rey Cometa, Starman vs Cancerbero, Puma King, Raziel
Arena Mexico, 02/21/2012

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:54
Rating: OK
Notes: Referee is Pompin. Cometa's outfit looks sharper on Friday's cameras. I don't know why this is.

1: Pairs are Cometa/Raziel, Pegasso/Cancerbero, Staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarman/Puma King. Oh, how I've not missed Starman on this show. Those two are have the fastest paced exchange, Starman luring Puma into a Cometa tornillo plancha. Puma slide out as Cometa does a handspring, so Cometa just does his tornillo to the floor too. Raziel misses a corner charge, and Pegasso takes him over with a top rope headscissors. Starman lifts his partner into a push off headscissors, but the rudos put a stop to that, and tie up the rudos there.

2: Rudos giving Starman a corner flying sit as the fall started. They really didn't break. Double armbar/leg pull on Pegasso to set up Puma's dropkick. Cancerbero works over Cometa with headbutts, then Raziel adds a double underhook backbreaker. Starman ducks a double clothesline to start the comeback, though Cometa nearly slips off the ropes on his follow up springboard plancha. He pulls it off. Pegasso rolls in, waved both rudos, and out the other way for the Pegasso dive onto Cancerbero. Cometa superkicks Raziel, Puma flips him to the apron, Starman lifts Puma up and drops him in the spot – 450 splash. Starman takes care of Raziel and it's tied up.

3: Pegasso takes care of Raziel with a casadora armdrag and a backspin headscissors. Cancerbero in, Cancerbero armdragged, but he stops Pegasso with the spin out faceslam. Cometa gets Cancerbero with a flying headscissors, just leapfrogs over him, and pulls of the backflip handwalk headscissors nicely. Puma pulls off the Felino trip, dropkick to the face combo to neutralize Cometa. Starman planchas Puma, armdrags him, Puma flips him to the apron, Starman slaps him back, flying headscissors there. Starman out to the apron – headscissors to the floor with no fear. Starman back into elaborate, just under a Cancerbero double clothesline, but backdropped anyway. Rudos kick him away, then evade a Cometa top rope plancha. Pegasso in and hitting both, but Puma trips him up from outside. Rudos totally in control now, Puma powerbomb backcracker, Cancerbero with a nudo lagunero, Raziel trying for the motocicleta way after the fact.

Stellar Moments!

Match 4: Hijo del Fantasma, Máscara Dorada, Super Porky © vs Morphosis, Olímpico, Shigeo Okumura
Arena Mexico, 02/21/2012

  1. técnicos

  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 13:05
Rating: bleh
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra. Mije is with the rudos.

1: Porky/Olímpico comedy to start. Fantasma/Okumura do the mat work bits instead. There's a huge Fantasma fan in the front row. Dorada and Morphosis are last, but don't do much before Porky is back in for more comedy. Porky belly bumps the rudos in the corner for the big sit, rudos bail before #2. Olímpico rolls out, and Porky splashes him from the stage. Other técnicos get random finishes for the win.

2: Dorada brings back the spinning around the ropes headscissors for Olímpico. Morphosis tells the crowd to calm down, which is not asking much. Flapjack escape armdrag for him, Dorada springboard headscissors for Okumura. Mije into face Fantasma, and kicking him the shin. Morphosis steps in before Fantasma can get revenge. Whip, reversed, Morphosis clothesline misses, Fantasma back with a headscissors. Mije back in with legs kicks, but Fantasma tosses him this time. Okumura puts up the stop sign so the rudos can triage Mije, but Fantasma is a jerk and surprises him with a kick. Jumping enziguri for Okumura. Olímpico runs Fantasma over, then dropkicks Porky. Rudos take the ring, Olímpico swatting around Porky outside it. Corner clotheslines for Dorada, two man bulldog, and up for a Okumura missile dropkick. Catapult/dropkick bit on Fantasma is poorly timed. Porky slaps everyone, everyone slaps him. Two man suplex, Olímpico springboard splash, one two three.

3: Triple boot for Dorada. Olímpico chases after the ring girl. Porky smacked around. Fantasma takes dropkick to the head. Triple boot for Dorada. Porky taken down for Mije's middle rope low blow splash. Porky promptly grabs the ropes on a charge, splashes Olímpico. Hipcheck for Mije, Morphosis kicks Brazo de Plata, Dorada springboard headscissors Morphosis, Okumura kicks Dorada, Phantom Lariat on Okumura. Okumura out, Fantasma topes Morphosis, Dorada tope con giro on Okumura. Olímpico tries and tires to knock down porky, but can't get it. Suplex – no, that's not going to work, and Porky small packages him for three.

Match 5: Atlantis, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Tiger
Arena Mexico, 02/21/2012

  1. TRT

  2. Atlantida
  3. TRT

Winner: TRT
Match Time: 12:53
Rating: OK
Notes: separate introductions for the champs, but they all meet up on the stage. Maya is in his blue and white gear. I wonder if they made him carry his normal mask to the ring so they people would know who he was. Ref is Maya – possible bias!

1: Delta/Terrible is an odd start. Maya and Bucanero are next, but Bucanero attacks Atlantis instead, and the other rudos rush the other técnicos. Rudos hold the técnicos and hit for a while. Catapult and superkick set up Bucanero's rolling senton on Atlantis. No pin. Triple powerbomb on Delta, lifted up for 4 stamping powerbombs, and then hold up once more for a Tiger backcracker. That should do it, but Guerrero rushes in, Bucanero trips him up top of his partner, and sentons both. Triple crab! That works. Atlantis cleared off the apron as well.

2: Rudos still in control, smacking around Atlantis. Terrible gives him a good headbutt. Bucanero and Tiger drag around Atlantis by his mask. Maya slapped around. Double boot for Delta, who starts to roll out and is brought back. Double backdrop, now you’re done. Atlantis held for Bucanero to punch. Crowd starts to rally behind Atlantis, doesn't help. Maya backdropped, but pulls of a sunset flip on Tiger, then rolls him back into Bucanero and Terrible kicks. Atlantis pounds Bucanero out of the ring, Delta dropkicks Terrible out. Técnicos tease dives, and back off when the rudos move. Terrible comes charging in, rudo free, Maya shoulderblocks, springboard reverse plancha. Terrible charges, Maya lifts him up on his shoulders, then over–Cerebro Diver! Reinera on Tiger, Bucanero runs away from Atlantis some more.

Atlantis catches up to give Bucanero a quebradora on the ramp, and tosses him towards the stage.

3: After more Bucanero/Atlantis gesturing, Tiger and Delta with a hard Tiger thrust kick to Delta's chest. Off the ropes evasion, Delta handspring backflip escapes out of a backdrop and uses a casadora armdrag to send Tiger out. Delta rolls over the top rope to a headscissors on Tiger. Bucanero in, Atlantis in, Bucanero out. Terrible and Maya in, Terrible dropping down too soon and Maya dropping the leg. Whip, reversed, Maya near run the ropes escape, and Terrible flips him with a clothesline anyway. Terrible proud of himself. Terrible shoves Atlantis into the corner. Slap to the chest. Corner whip, reversed, May charges, Terrible flips him to the apron, Chop blocked, Maya lands his own, flying armdrag sends Terrible rolling out, and running away as Maya approaches. Atlantis and Bucanero finally in together. Bucanero wants a handshake – Atlantis uses it to whip Bucanero, who slides right out. Bucanero stunned, back in, Atlantis leapfrogs him and monkey flips him. Another monkey flip a quebradora. Bucanero wants out, claiming foul. Terrible in, Delta with a springboard plancha on him. Delta up and standing, so Terrible just chops him. Slap to the face. Corner whip, Terrible charge in, Delta moves, Terrible throws himself out. Maya runs – thru the ropes tope con giro, foot kicking a guy on the way thru. Guerrero Maya Jr. is the reason there are barricades, no doubt. Atlantis take down Tiger, and Delta goes up – moonsault connects. No pin, time killing submission instead. doesn’t really mater, counting would've been as good a distraction. Bucanero fouls Atlantis, covers, Maya turns to cover, one two three, Tiger fouls Delta, one two three.

Técnicos protest. Guerrero Maya yells at Bucanero for cheating to win, and demands a rematch. TRT don’t seem to bugged. Bucanero tells the crowd to quiet. They do not, so he leaves. Atlantis yells at them about a revenge match in super libre for the fouls. Bucanero yells at the crowd – do they want revenge? (he asks three times) – Bucanero does not want revenge, so he's leaving. Atlantis again ask for the revenge match, but TRT are out of here.
