Match 1: Bengala & Camaleón vs Camorra & Cholo
Arena Mexico, 02/14/2012

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:23
Rating: eh
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra.

1: Pairs are Bengala/Camorra and Camaleón/Cholo. Camaleón's new chrome colored gear looks expensive. Cholo is loudly muttering thru the first section of his exchange. Nothing intelligible, just sort of a growl. Cholo also sneaks in a slap on the face off, which causes them to keep going. Second time thru, Bengala dropkicks Camorra out. He slowly runs for a tope, and Cholo easily kicks him as he puts his head thru the ropes. That directly leads to the finish.

2: Cholo has a mad swinging spree in here. Rudos double team for a while until a corner whip leads to doom. Cholo is as comic accidentally hitting Camorra as taking a boost dropkick from the técnicos. Técnicos whip the rudos into each other, inside cradle them, and get two counts. Announcers count three. They are wrong, but that would've been a fine enough finish for this fall. They do backcrackers instead because CMLL guys love that move.

3: Update: Bucanero is here. Even the announcers miss the opener. Showcases for both técnicos. Cholo pulls off the slowest roll escape out of a sunset flip ever. His dropkick does not connect, Bengala moves and elbow drops him for a two count. Bengala sends him out, knocks down Camorra, but Cholo trips up Bengala and yanks him out. Camorra goes for a dive, but Camaleón pulls him out the other side. Camaleón and Cholo get the better of their fights and comes back. Camaleón and Cholo mess up something here. Corner whip leads to the Garza moonsault bodyblock – I guess he can use that one now. Camaleón lays on top for three, then just keeps laying there while Bengala and Camorra come back in to finish up.

Announcers start singing the chorus to Karma Chamaleon. Alright.

Match 2: Goya Kong & Marcela vs Tiffany & Zeuxis
Arena Mexico, 02/14/2012

  1. rudas

  2. tecnicas
  3. tecnicas

Winner: técnicas (2-1)
Match Time: 16:13
Rating: OK
Notes: Ref is Tigre Hispano.

1: Marcela and Zeuxis have a good exchange. Tiffany and Goya have a dance contest. Tiffany gets ahead with a slap, but her stubborn insistence on suplexing Goya backfires. It is hilarious. Goya slams her, and Zeuxis rushes in to save her partner with a high kick to Goya's face. Marcela kicked away as well. Trio and double dropkick to the larger women, double choke to Marcela. Rudas toss Goya off the middle rope. Zeuxis starts to climb the ropes, looks back at Goya (Tiffany still stomping her), pauses, and climbs down to pull Goya closer. Well, better then missing. Meanwhile, Marcela has snuck in to inside cradle Tiffany, but Tiffany rolls thru to a submission. Zeuxis moonsault actually almost overshoots, oh well.

2: Two woman front cracker on Marcela. That'd be a tough trick for Tiffany to left Goya like that. Rudas use their bit of running Goya into the other técnicas, then try it the other way – Goya stops Marcela, then drops the rudas with a double clothesline. Tecnicas clean house and take the fall.

3: Marcela destroys Zeuxis and scares Tiffany just by looking in her direction. Goya crushes Tiffany with a running senton. Tiffany rolls out and yells at Goya. Zeuxis stops Marcela with a behind the back face first powerbomb for a two count, but Marcela gets in a running kneelifts, and a springboard double knee drop. Tiffany breaks up a time killing hold, and gives her a wheelbarrow faceslam. Goya's turn to break up a pin. Soya spinebusters Tiffany and puts on a hold, and Zeuxis breaks it up. Zeuxis doesn’t try a move before putting on a hold, and Marcela breaks that up. Marcela gets Zeuxis with a headscissors, then Zeuxis accidentally dropkick Tiffany. Tiffany and Zeuxis yell at each other and shove, but duck before Goya can clothesline them. Marcela missile dropkicks them anyway. Marcela splashes both, and Goya falls backwards on both. That’s it.

Match 3: Eléctrico, Fantasy, Último Dragoncito vs Demus 3:16, Pequeño Olímpico, Pierrothito
Arena Mexico, 02/14/2012

  1. técnicos

  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:51
Rating: good
Notes: Referee is Bestia Negra. Fantasy is an apparent last second sub for Bam Bam – he's in an Eléctrico mask and work out clothes. The real Eléctrico has a taped up shoulder.

1: Cascading pairs, with Olímpico and Fantasy starting out long, then Pierrothito, Eléctrico, Demus and Ultimo Dragoncito cycling in. Crowd reaction seems to slightly increase as they go on, though Demus works on it more than the other rudos. Demus also can't help but posing after every move. He and Dragoncito go back and forth until Dragoncito gets in a showy backspin headscissors, Eléctrico following with a springboard top rope moonsault. Rudos backfire into position for the técnicos finishes

2: Another time thru, everyone taking a turn to get a big move on another. Rudos take control off a Pierrothito spear on Dragoncito. Cavernaria/double dropkicks pot is a nice variation on the usual. Big powerbomb on Eléctrico finishes him.

3: Rudos only briefly hold the ring. Pierrothito boosts Eléctrico into a dropkick on the celebrating Demus and Olímpico, sending them out, and then slowly realizes what he's done. Those two get I into a slap fight for a bit, Eléctrico gets in a flipping run, then a handspring headscissors that 's not quite there yet. Pierrothito stops him with a Pólvora Driver on the next pass, but the other técnicos break it up. Double suplex by Dragoncito and Fantasy, and it's Demus and Olímpico’s turn to break it up. Double burning hammer on Fantasy, but the técnicos break it up. Rudos get it together just long enough to have it’ll fall apart. Demus spears the post on the way out, Dragoncito flips to the apron while Electrico plancha Olímpico and lends him in to a chop on Pierrothito. Eléctrico boosts Fantasy into a double clothesline on both. Nice triple dive spot, Dragoncito off the top with a moonsault as the other two go thru the corner with a tope. Pierrothito and Dragoncito make it back in after a moment, Dragoncito tries a ‘rana, Pierrothito rolls thru, and that's just enough for three.

Match 4: Ángel de Oro, Blue Panther, Hijo del Fantasma vs Felino, Negro Casas, Puma King
Arena Mexico, 02/14/2012

  1. rudos

  2. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 3:35
Rating: angle
Notes: Panther looks behind him as he's walking to the ring, as if he's expecting to get punked. Me too. Puma has a new furry robe/pajamas and walks out with Peste Negra. Zach is in green. Negro has his new title. Panther's held back until Negro gets his belt off – which allows Negro to swing it at him. Panther ducks and repeatedly headbutts. Negro. Panther grabs the belt and smacks Negro with it. Panther throws it at him. Terror Chino yells at Panther, Panther shoves him.

1: Whistle. Terror Chino raises Negro's hand. FALL OVER. I have it as 4 seconds, but we really needed a stop watch on that one. Negro is out on the mat, but slowly comes too. Panther stomps at him while Felino and Puma try to check on him.

2: técnico show case until Panther tries to put a hold on Puma, and Felino and Negro attack. Stomp down, with Puma getting up and joining in. Rudos keep the other técnicos out, Negro kicks Panther, Panther blocks a kick and straight fouls him. That's the match.

Angel de Oro is very upset with Panther, but they settle down. Angel runs interference so Panther can beat up Negro and go after his forehead some more. Panther yells at Negro on the microphone, then chokes him with it. Negro yells into the microphone while trying to get free. Referee is no help here. Negro is pretty well destroyed and Felino and Puma can't get around Angel and Fantasma to help.

Match 5: Marco Corleone, Máximo, Rush vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Tiger
Arena Mexico, 02/14/2012

  1. TRT

  2. Bufete del Amor
  3. TRT

Winner: TRT
Match Time: 13:17
Rating: OK
Notes: No Comandante. Ref is Tiger Hispano.

1: Tiger & Rush get the long mat part at the start. Tiger always has an expression on his face like he's very angry people don't take him more seriously. Rey and Máximo have their usual issues. Marco in last, dances before he gets going and never gets going because the rudos aren't on the same page. Bucanero gives him a slooow Tormenta Bucanero. Tiger and Bucanero hold Marco for Terrible slaps. Triple submission finishes him there. Rudos hold up Máximo for kicks, powerbomb him down, and that's it. Easy.

2: General beating on Marco, but the rudos still haven't learned not corner whip him. Marco flips Terrible to the apron and stone punches him. The other two shoulderblocks him out but Máximo makes them look silly . Rush comes in just to tope Terrible, Máximo kisses Bucanero, and leads both rudos into Air Italiano. That’s it.

Dos Leyendas: Blue Panther vs Negro Casas – contract signing fight and interviews.

3: Despite Terrible doing Marco's dance, he still goes thru all of TRT, stone punches for everyone. The vocal part of the crowd is behind Terrible when he comes face to face with Rush, but Rush still gets the better of their slap fight. Bucanero runs thru the crowd rather than fight Máximo. Máximo faces off with Terrible instead. Maximo's team fires him up for it, then Máximo leads Terrible into a Rush back suplex. Máximo dropkicks Terrible out. Tiger in, lifted up for Marco’s dropkick. Máximo headscissors Bucanero out and gently topes him. Tiger tries getting the drop on Marco, but Marco easily catches him, and sets him up for a Rush dropkick. Técnicos high ten, then aren't sure what to do next. Bucanero abducts Máximo, so Marco goes out to save his partner. Rush and Terrible are left in. Terrible stomps his feet, charges miss, and Rush kicks him. Whip, Rush with an odd looking fireman's drop. Crowd boos more because it's rush. Rush misses the double stomp, Terrible cradles and hooks the bottom rope, one two three.
