Match 1: Enrique Vera Jr. & Soberano Jr. vs Apocalipsis & Bobby Zavala

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:30
Rating: raw

1: Karla sends out a shoutout to the internet. I'm on the internet, it's like she's talking right to me. The thing about turning down the lights is if you can only see the first couple seats, and there's no one in those seats, it looks even more empty. Like right now. Pairs are Vera/Apocalipsis and then Zavala/Soberano. The people who are there are strangely invested in Soberano vs Zavala. Tiger handles play by play for a while. Zavala gets in armdrags, celebrates, falls into a Soberano hold. So it goes. Vera springboard armdrags Apocalipsis out and sets up for the dive, but Zavala cuts him off by running aside Vera, and then just stepping in front of him. Vera is just not quick enough, I guess. Enrique takes a big tumble backwards from what was essentially shoulderblock. Soberano in, but missing a dropkick. Zavala stands up Soberano just to chop him. Vera goes to the top, starts to lose his balance, sets himself, and jumps off with a flying – nothing. He just lands on his feet. Announcers laugh. And then Vera just walks back to his corner! When are the real matches starting? Corner whip for Soberano, Zavala charges into boots, sunset flip, Zavala rolls thru slowly and kicks Soberano, now is the time for Vera to go to the top rope, plancha connects! Zavala should've totally saw that one coming. Zavala accidentally chops Apocalipsis, Vera boosts Soberano into a Apocalipsis powerbomb – Amapola generously suggests Soberano was going for a hurracarrana – and Vera springboards into a dropkick. Zavala has a weird rocking submission tacked on, but that's it.

2: Rudos beatdown. Corner back elbows for Vera. Soberano takes a flapjack and a dropkick to the side. More running back elbows for Vera. This match is testing me. Vera flips Soberano to safety, jumping knee (maybe? Poor whatever it was) to Apocalipsis. Zavala dropkicks Vera. Soberano flying headscissors Zavala, trips Apocalipsis in the ropes, and lands the guillotine moonsault for the pin. Vera spinebusters Zavala and puts on an inverted figure four for the pin. Tiger recognizes it as Felino's hold.

3: Enrique/Apocalipsis bit builds to a springboard silla, which Apocalipsis just tosses Vera of after. Amapola calls a quebradora in the most deadpan voice ever. Soberano flips all around, gets clotheslined, flips all around more, peaking with a running front flip over the ropes and Zavala and onto his backside. Oh well. Rebound armdrag sends Zavala up the ramp anyway. Soberano rolls back in the ring to be dropped by Apocalipsis. Apocalipsis oddly drop the holds him and holds Soberano off the apron, so Zavala can come in fresh and knock him to the floor with a pescado. Vera drops Apocalipsis with a front slam, Zavala top rope slam one two three.

Match 2: Eléctrico, Fantasy, Último Dragoncito ©  vs Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Warrior, Pierrothito ©
Arena Mexico, 12/20/2011

  1. rudos

  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 12:28
Rating: okay
Notes: Ref is Terror Chino. Announcers are impressed when Amapola can identify all the people in this match on their own.

1: Pairs are Olímpico/Fantasy (spirited battle), Pierrothito/Eléctrico (quick), Warrior/Dragoncito. Tiger knows Eléctrico took Warrior's mask, admits he can't remember when. Tiger's a big fan, anyway. They're in the same dance troop. Warrior is more interested in dancing then fighting, but eventually Dragoncito is able to get him to pay attention long enough to be armdrag out. Match breaks down form there, rudos hitting each other, Eléctrico missing a missile dropkick, Olímpico & Pierrothito getting submission, and Warrior just posing.

2: Rudos beat up técnicos. Eléctrico gets backdropped into the ring. Warrior comes in with a top rope fist drop, though that's over stating it. Flying sit on Dragoncito by the rudos. Karla promotes the Sunday show, saying the cibernético is for the title. Not so quick! Rudos screw around, don't attack anyone else, bring Dragoncito back in and send him in the corner. Warrior misses the charge, dropkicking his way to the floor. Pierroth runs into Olímpico, Dragoncito uses Olímpico for a headscissors on Pierroth and dropkicks Olímpico out. Pierroth dropkicks Olímpico out, poses, an has no idea Fantasy is waiting behind him. Fantasy waits, gets in his flipping urn, gets in his monkey flip escape, headscissors Pierroth to the ropes, sunset flip reversal bit ends up with Pierrothito missing a dropkick, and Eléctrico landing a springboard elbow drop. That's 3, helped by Olímpico running past it to slap Fantasy instead of breaking it up. Olímpico crotches himself in the ropes so we can get another guillotine moonsault. Dragoncito submits Warrior, much as it matters.

3: Warrior goofs off with Eléctrico for a while. He also sits on the middle rope no reason but to take a Eléctrico 'rana. Eléctrico starts for a complicated submission, but gives up when eh sees Olímpico is in to slap him out. Olímpico forearms Dragoncito as he comes in. Running avoidance, Dragon casadora armdrag, out goes Olímpico. Pierrothito in, Dragoncito is too quick for him but Pierrothito sticks in a standing tope (??) to knock him down. Fantasy breaks up the pin with a slap. Chops to loosen Pierroth up for a whip – which he just reversed. Pierrothito casadora is turned into a big faceslam. Fantasy starts a submission, Warrior's turn to break it up. Fantasy leads Olímpico and Warrior into a missile dropkick from Electrico, but Pierrothito cuts off both them with a big double clothesline. Dragoncito goes for a casadora on Pierroth, Pierrothito shoves him away, Dragoncito charges and tossed in the air, down with a 'rana, one two three.

Match 3: Rey Cometa, Titán, Triton vs Hooligan, Loco Max, Skándalo
Arena Mexico, 12/20/2011

  1. técnicos

  2. rudos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:56
Rating: good
Notes: Ref is Terror Chino.

1: Karla pitches it to Amapola to list the técnico stall. Amapola carefully stalls while struggling to remember what exactly they're calling Palacio Negro & Metal Blanco at the moment. She does come up with the right names eventually. Later, Tiger has to explain which one is which color. Pairs are Loco/Titan, Skándalo/Triton, Hooligan/Cometa. Loco & Titan go hold for hold for a while. Loco like being more of a bully towards guys his height, and he does a bit of that here, crushing Titan with a quick back suplex about three and a half minutes in. That gets 3 people to chant for Loco, and tags. Tiger mentions “great controversy about Triton”, but the original is here in CMLL. Triton gets Skándalo in a modified STF, Hooligan comes in from behind, referee spots him, but Hooligan explains he was only clearing a bit of cloth from the ring, picks it up, and leaves. Karla still can't get the names straight, much Tiger & Amapola's amusement. Did Enrique leave? Triton standing moonsault sets up the standoff and tags. Now Karla's confusing Hooligan with Arkangel, who is not even here. Cometa flipping run sets up a flipping armdrag on Hooligan, and that's their entire bit. Cometa gets Hooligan with the backflip handwalk headscissors, tornillo out. Técnicos finish things up simply.

2: Titan looks spectacular with Loco Max, leading to a big monkey flip on the ramp. Triton and Skandalo stand in place and reverse a whip three times before it takes. Triton leads that into a flipping run which just kind of ends, and both guys slap enough a bit. Triton headscissors Triton out, which is the best for us all. Hooligan drops Cometa with a chop, and whips him into Loco Max's boots to take him out. Beatdown. Cometa takes the hanging dropkick out to the ramp. Low blow elbow drop for Titan. Karla now gun shy about calling Tritons' name. Hooligan tope con giro gets Triton and Skándalo, kicked standing close.

3: Corner charges for Titan. Corner charges for Cometa in a different corner, including a low blow dropkick. Flapjack for Triton, corner clotheslines, and Loco Max's turn to tease doing the low blow dropkick before doing a straight foul that's just not called a foul. Cometa flips ducks a double clothesline, superkicks Skandalo, and the others come in with springboard dropkicks. Loud boos. Everyone takes turns slapping Skandalo. Corner whip, corner leg lariat, corner high kick, legs part so Cometa can stomp and land the low blow dropkick. Rudos are SURE that one was illegal. Cometa pulls Skándalo in position, and Titan lands the headstand rope flip moonsault. That seems familiar. One two three.

Loco Max comes in just slow enough to not break that up, but then challenges Titan on. Loco back heel trip looks good, but Triton springboard dropkicks him out. Loco hides on the outside to avoid a dive, but Triton stops on the apron, pokes him with his boot, and then – uh, misses him with a quebrada. Loco was a step to the left there, but feel down anyway. Cometa planchas Hooligan, drops him in front of the corner, hands up, 450 splash, Hooligan moves, Cometa rolls thru and tries a 'rana, Hooligan blocks – Hooligan Clash! Crowd was booing since Cometa set up for the 450, but the loud people are happy now. One two three.

It'd be helpful I knew who the captain is, but I suppose it doesn't matter much now. Hooligan kicks at Titan, Titan blocks it and spins him, fireman’s powerbomb, Titan and Triton both go up in the corner, flying legdrop/splash combo. One two three.

Match 4: Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Metro vs Felino, Negro Casas, Rey Escorpion
Arena Mexico, 12/20/2011

  1. técnicos

  2. rudos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:40
Rating: eh
Notes: Referee is Terror Chino. Felino is very bald. Zack, in a santa cap, is with the rudos.

1: Felino and Delta start, with Escorpion quickly interceding to break up a hold. The match is barely restarted before Negro does the same. Negro is willing to chop it out with Maya & Metro on the outside, but backs down when Rey Escorpion is there to get hit instead. Rudos circle around to the ring, and stomp on Delta on their way back to the tier corner. Delta wants to fight them all for it, and this just gets us to a big standoff. Things settle down to Maya and Escorpion, except (the announcers are all excitedly talking over each other and) Escorpion slides out after one armdrag and begs off. Back in, Escorpion get in a shot, whip, Maya sunset flip goes way too far, Escorpion turns around, Maya rolls back and kicks him in the chin. Great ! That's what you should do there. Quick pins, stand of, rudos shoving, técnicos threatening them. Delta and Maya chase Felino a bit, and Felino gets in chops on Maya when he’s not paying attention. Everyone else just stands of, so it's like one man beatdown that just stops. Everyone goes back to their corner as Metro and Negro start. Negro tries to waistlock Metro, that does not work. Dropkick to the shin is better. Kicks to the chest, third is caught, and Metro turns in a nice Dragon screw. Negro wild punch misses, Metro lifts him off his feet, German suplex, one two three. Delta finishes of Escorpion and Maya and Felino get going late but get to the Alejandria.

Zach rushes in and kicks Metro in the legs. Metro trips him up, then spins him around for a quebradora. Poor parrot. He rolls out, and his friends are too hurt to check on him.

2: Zack is fine enough to gawk at the card girl. Rey Escorpion walks over to join him in gawking. Negro works over Delta with kicks, poses, and Delta clotheslines him hard. Chops. Negro Casas a sleeper bit gets him kicked, and a springboard armdrag sends him out. Felino surprises Delta with a clotheslines from behind, and armpits his face. Técnicos argue, and Felino smacks Metro off the apron. Rey Escorpion grabs Felino by the head to calm him down, and Felino explains he doesn't ant a kiss. Anyway. Delta duck a double clothesline and boost dropkicks Felino out. Back spin headscissors sends Escorpion out, and walking away. Rey Escorpion is stunned to find Delta has followed him, but Delta doesn’t actually do anything. Maya and Negro Casas in. Corner whips are reversed, Negro bounces out of the corner into an armdrag. Spinning armdrag sends Negro out. Felino in, clothesline spot is slowly avoided, of the ropes evasion, springboard back and armdrag to send Felino out. Escorpion kicks Maya down, and runs right into the monkey flip to te floor. Huge Maya tope to take him out. Other four in, técnicos rammed in to each other, rudos cradle them for the win.

3: Rudos beat up técnicos, though Zacarias and Rey Escorpion are again distracted by the ring girl. Chops and kicks and such. Felino lands the elbow drop on May for two. Tiger doesn't seem to be particularly going against Felino here. Metro doesn't seem to have any problem with his teammates either. Corner clothesline for Metro set up – Negro and Felino just submitting him? OK. Escorpion finishes Delta to end it.

Escorpion and the rudo fans are happy for an easy win. Felino and Zacarias dance. Negro and a random fan do as well. Felino does finally make it to the announce desk to have words with Tiger, but nothing really happens. Rey Escorpion gets close to actually getting to Tiger.

Match 5: Dragón Rojo Jr., Mr. Águila, Volador Jr. vs Ángel de Oro, Atlantis, Rush
Arena Mexico, 12/20/2011

  1. rudos

  2. tecnicos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:32
Rating: incomplete
Notes: Music is turned way down low. Volador is in a hooded robe, totally covering his face. He pulls off the mask to reveal his mask, which they never get a good shot off before cutting away. Good times. Dragon Rojo is starting the match in his Santa cap, because why not. Ref is Tigre Hispano in his first match of the night.

1: Rudos jump the técnicos during a clip. Brawling, some mask ripping. Volador gets Oro with the running superkick, then Dragon Rojo goes for the mask. Volador rolls Oro into a Dragon Rojo dropkick, then Aguila sends Oro out with a back elbow. Dragon Rojo cashes to knock down his new rival. Other rudos team up to finish the other técnicos.

2: first fall repeat, this one not shown!

3: Oro and Dragon Rojo start, though Volador's hanging inside the ring waiting for this team. This makes more sense when Dragon bails quickly. Mascara in for Volador, but Volador wants him out and Atlantis in. Atlantis in and shoving. Volador just points at the crow dot get him to yell his name. Off the ropes, flipping run, Atlantis quebradora anyway. A second. Aguila in and side kicking Atlantis to the apron. Atlantis shoulderblocks him, up top, plancha. Atlantis monkey flip, Aguila lands on his feet, and spinning heel kicks Atlantis. Aguila poses, charges, and gets flipped all the way to the floor. Rojo in, but out as soon as Angel de Oro comes in. Oro is annoyed, but doesn't chase him to the floor. Mascara and Volador turns to Máscara and Dragon Rojo turns to Dragon Rojo and Angel de Oro again. Dragon Rojo thinks about it, and Oro comes in. Volador tells Oro to get out of the ring, and Oro sadly listens. Mascara in. Volador shirt off. Volador yell at and Máscara to take of his shirt, and kicking when he does. Sunset flip, Máscara rolls thru and dropkicks. Flipped to the apron, Volador forearms him twice, swing kick makes solid contact. Volador poses, probably should follow up. Volador picks Máscara back up, runs him to the corner, Máscara breaks, swing kicks, goes up, flying headscissors. Volador out, Máscara chases him out, quebradora con giro on the floor. Dragon Rojo in, or in. Chops back and forth. Off the ropes, clotheslines, both staggered, neither man down. Angel de Oro ff the ropes, Dragon flips him with a shoulderblock. Dragon Rojo on top and punches. Now behind and going for the mask. Angel de Oro up to his feet, snap mare, adjusts his own mask and going after Dragon Rojo’s. Dragon Rojo clothesline is bridged under, and Angle de Oro superkicks him out. Dragon Rojo out, Oro out slowly chasing him. Everyone watches for a second, then all come back in. Atlantis kicks away the rudos, Máscara planchas both, Atlantis planchas both. Casadora cradles, one two NO. Atlantis tosses Volador out, and Mascara topes him. Atlantis slams Aguila and puts him in a time killing hold. Feuding duo in, evasion, Dragon Rojo fouls Angel de Oro but the camera totally miss it. Dragon Rojo pulls Angle de Oro's mask too, and that’s impossible to miss. DQ to end it.

Replays show foul from a couple of angles. If only this did some post production, it would've been a little bit smoother.
