Arena Mexico, 12/18/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:40
Rating: just setup
Notes: The non-feuding guys are captains, huh. Video clips of the contract signing before this one gets underway. Building is very empty. Referee is Bestia Negra, and I correctly identified him all by myself.

1: Sensei gets the better of Inquisidor in a long open between them. Tapiatios rush into attack suddenly, and the beatdown starts there. Brawling all over until the rudos come together to boot Hombre. Halcón battles back, gets knocked down. Sensei slapped around. Double spinebuster, Inquisidor runs along the ropes, changes ropes, and eventually gets to the low dropkick. Rudos all stomp Halcón. Inquisidor shoves Bestia at one point, but apologizes. How polite. Double step over armbar on Halcón, with Inquisidor adding kicks. Double backdrop sets up a Inquisidor top rope splash for the win.

2: Halcón tripped onto the ropes and dropkicked in the backside. Bala fights back, but gets stomped down for it. Again, Bestia tries to step in and the rudos have to get him off their back. Rayo I trips up Bala, other rudos hold him hang off the apron, and Rayo I swings thru the ropes to dropkick him. Crowd is filling up. Sensei is tossed into Inquisidor's feet. Corner charges for Halcón, Inquisidor getting in a turning kick. Corner charges for Sensei. Corner charges for Bala – are avoided to start the comeback. Headscissors for Inquisidor. Crowd booing loudly. Sensei pump kicks Rayo II, then fireman's drops Rayo I in the corner. Young técnicos get their finishes a lot quicker than Sensei. Feuding teams keep on fighting after the fall, young técnicos knocking around old rudos.

Highlights of Angel Azteca vs Apocalipsis: Azteca gets a complicated submission to win.

3: Halcón/Rayo II exchange ends with Rayo II held in the ropes for a backcracker. Sensei kicks wildly at a cowering Inquisidor. Sensei looks away, takes a back elbow. They have a good back and forth that ends with Inquisidor just being tripped off the apron. Bala tries a backwards roll into a move, but comes up short at Rayo I shoves him away. Bala dropkick misses soon after, Rayo I should just keep moving. Bala flips Rayo I to the ramp, slaps him down, and dives thru the ropes for a plancha there. That's an idea. Halcón misses a corner charge on Rayo II and is slapped down. Up, slapped again. Whip, Halcón get on a hold, rudos break it up, técnicos miss attacking them. Rudos whip técnicos into each other, técnicos turn it around and do the same. Técnicos get on time killing holds, Halcón gives Rayo II a couple bad quebradora con giros. Rayo II goes for a low blow, Halcón blocks and pulls his mask for the DQ.

Técnicos mess around with Rayo's mask a bit. Crowd is totally behind the rudos as they talk back and forth. Bestia Negra finally gets the mask back and throws it to Rayo II.

Match 2: Atlantis, La Máscara, Marco Corleone © vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Escorpion, Último Guerrero ©

  1. Guerreros

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 7:56
Rating: ok, though not much
Notes: Enterances. Rey Escorpion has a video and he has a kilt. Things are looking up. Ref us Tigre Hispano.

1: Rudos rush técnicos at the whistle for the big brawl. Flying sit on Marco. Low blow dropkick for Atlantis. Guerrero has a hard time setting Mascara in the ropes for whatever Escorpion wants to do, so Escorpion has to come in to help them back to the ropes for a the springboard wheel kick. Rudos feed Marco up to Guerrero for a superbomb. One two three. Welcome back!

Recap of the tag team tournament on this show
sf: Dragon Lee & Fuego dived and won
sf: Titan & Triton dived and lost
final: Dragon Lee & Fuego dived more, lost to Pólvora and Euforia.

2: Rudos still in control. Drop toe hold, kick to the head for Atlantis. Triple boot for Mascara. Everyone takes turn chopping Marco hard, and then all at once. Marco fires up and shoves everyone away, but Guerrero takes him down and they stomp him more. Rudos are distracted, so Marco crawls across the ring before being kicked out. Corner charges on Atlantis fail, he lifts Escorpion up, and Marco dropkicks him down. Maraca flying armdrag on Dragon Rojo. Guerrero kicks Máscara down, Marco flattens UG with the stone punch. Other técnicos wrap up the rudos for pins.

Referee and the doctor stop Marco to look at cut on his chest. Everyone decides he'll be okay.

Highlights from the semimain, new TRT vs Metro,
5-1: TRT with a triple submission on Angel de Oro and Metro
5-2: topes by Metro and Hijo del Fantasma, Angel de Oro submits Bucanero
5-3: Terrible gets Angel de Oro with a super Terrible Clash, Metro German suplexes Terrible to eliminate him, Metro dives onto Bucanero, and Fantasma's handspring is countered into a backcracker. Fantasma only seems to do that handspring when it's going to backfire.

3: Guerrero bails on Atlantis. Escorpion comes in, is monkey flipped into the ropes. Dragon Rojo runs in, but Atlantis sends him to Escorpión to send that rudo out, then hiptosses Dragon all the way to the flpor. Atlantis chases Dragon out and makes belt motions. Which one? Announcer think the singles title. Mascara and Guerrero in, UG spinning Máscara out with a shoulderblock. Corner whip, Mascara kicks UG down, flips off his knee and uses UG to push off into a headscissors on Dragon Rojo. Headscissors for Guerrero too. Escorpion in, but Mascara passes to listen to the crowd. Flipping armdrag, rolling dropkick out he goes. Marco's turn, in with Guerrero. People yelling for Guerrero. Marco does his bit, which gets some screens. Guerrero kicks, and chops Marco. Whip, reversed, Marco off the ropes, over, under, Guerrero sunset flip, Marco swivels to blocks, rudos slap him down and stomp. Corner whip, Marco kips over too, leapfrog over UG, leapfrog of UG again, under the double clothesline, plancha on the lesser rudos. UG shoulderblocks Marco out of the ring (and to the apron), Mascara superkicks Guerrero, quebradora con giro on the other. Técnicos picks up the rudos, hold them in place, and Marco flies back in with Air Corleone. Técnicos pile on top for the win.
