Arena Mexico, 11/11/2011

Winner: Fuego
Match Time: 7:37
Rating: OK
Notes: Ref is Pompin.

Slow start on the mat. Fuego looks pretty well trapped in a hammerlock cradle, but escapes. A couple more pin attempts before they get back up to their feet for reversals and Fuego's back bend. Top rope kick off springboard armdrag sends Euforia sliding to the floor, and Fuego follows rapidly with a tope. Fuego makes in first, moving Pompin out of the way, and going right back out with a running springboard plancha. Nice. Euforia makes it in first, Fuego fights him off from the ropes, springboard one two NO. Whip, Fuego backspring headscissors is reversed to a faceslam. Elbow drop to the back. Euforia is happy to get in his first move in a couple minutes. Corner whip, strong corner clothesline. Corner whip, Fuego up to the ropes, sunset flip roll thru, Euforia misses the dropkick, Fuego flops on top, one two NO. Drop toe hold, La Flashina! One two foot on the ropes. Euforia out to get a breath, which probably is not the smartest moves against Mister Fuego here. This time, Fuego content to standing the center of the ring and wait for Euforia to get up the apron. Euforia fights Fuego off this time with a shoulderblock the gut and rolls in, but Fuego gets him with a hiptoss. Fuego springboard breezing quebrada, ducks under a clothesline, backdrop escape armdrag, and Euforia out again. Fuego Asia – no, Euforia pulls him off by the ankles. Euforia goes in. Will he dive? Yes - TOPE, nailing Fuego head to head! That was a blow. Replays. Both men slow up. Euforia in and posing, Fuego jumps on his back, and over for a cradle one two NO. That cradle wasn't pretty but it did look like it might work. Whip, Toyota rolls, Euforia shoves him off, Euforia off the ropes, Fuego quebradora con giro. Fuego fired up. Quebradora con giro. Reaching seven minutes now. Fuego needs to bring this home. Casadora – no, Euforia escapes. Big boot to Fuego’s head. Corner charge, no one home, and Euforia flops to the mat. 2. técnicos
  3. draw

Winner: draw (1-1-1)
Match Time: 8:40
Rating: good
Notes: Rey Escorpion has blond streaks in his hair. It kind of makes me think Zumbido must kick his TV every time he sees Rey Escorpion on TV. As long as that's the only thing he's kicking. Felino brings a toilet seat with him to the ring. For the upteenth week, Panther is ready to go the moment he steps out from backstage. Negro charges and fails, but Felino whacks Panther in the back with the toilet lid. Valiente must've got taken out in the ring. The worst part of this is we can't enjoy Shocker's 80's saxophone opening. He does clear out the Pesta Negra, but Escorpion helps out. Monito runs past the right to the ring, but no Zach. Why is Negro still captain? Ref is Tiger Hispano.

1: Brawling, with Panther occasionally slipping thru to hit one Casas brother with the other one making the save. They're kind of like a team. Corner charges. They've either way turned up the crowd microphones or are adding in crowd noise. Negro suplex sets up the finish.

2: Rudos still in control. Felino's beaten Shocker halfway up the aisle between the fans. Everyone brawling on the outside now. And then back in. Valiente sidesteps a Rey Escorpion corner charge and clotheslines the other two to start the comeback, but keeps running right into the Valiente Special. Other técnicos immediately finish. Panther has to be yanked off Negro again by his hair, and spits at Tiger Hispano for doing it. No DQ this week. Panther argues, and goes after Negro, which just gets Felino to jump him too. Brawl does on, Valiente attacking Rey Escorpion just to keep up.

3: Valiente gets Escorpion with a headscissors and monkey flips him all the way out. TOPE, Rey Escorpion flying into the second row. Crowd is absurdly loud right now, but is making the match more exciting. Shocker and Felino evade, Shocker armdrag and big spinebuster. Shocker poses, turns, and gets kicked in the face. Negro calls Shocker on, Shocker waves his finger, boot to the face from Negro, boot to the face from Shocker. Shocker grabs Negro and tags Panther. Negro wants out, but his corner is currently vacant. Negro misses a kick in the ropes, Panther hits him in the midsection. Negro whip, Felino kick from the outside, panther punches him, Negro grabs Panther, Felino charges and levels Negro with a clothesline. Panther off the roes, Felino drops down, Panther picks up Negro and chops him, Felino dropkicks him, Panther pulls Felino out. Shocker hurries over and all four brawl. Valiente observers form the floor, Rey Escorpion from the outside side. Escorpion back in and Valiente back in, Valiente kicks Escorpion into a hamstring flip, Valiente 'rana, one two NO. Valiente thought he had it. Everyone else back to their corner. Valiente 'rana blocked into a sit down powerbomb one two three.

Panther surprises Escorpion with a clothesline. Fujiwara! Escorpion gives up quick, as he is wont to do.

Negro Casas slap connects, kick misses. Panther armdrag, armscissors, Felino dives in to punch him, Shocker punches him. Negro grabs Panther, but Shocker tosses Negro out. Felino and Panther go rolling out, and all four fight on the outside. Tiger Hispano is counting with a dedication only usually seen for double countouts, but Negro and Panther brawl back in. Panther takes down Negro, Felino piles on top, Shocker pulls Negro out as Felino and Panther roll out of the ring. Shocker and Negro with forearms to the face back and forth and out one side while Panther and Felino fight on the other side of the floor. Tiger Hispano goes back to counting everyone out, and this time he gets to the twenty.

Felino & Blue Panther make challenges, but then Shocker gets on the action. Felino has to pull Negro back, and the rudos walk off without any answer

Match 3: Mr. Niebla, Último Guerrero ©, Volador Jr. vs Atlantis ©, La Sombra, Máscara Dorada
Arena Mexico, 11/18/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:59
Rating: ok
Notes: I like how Mascara Dorada is just back to using the Jalisco music after they did eight different changes this year. Ultimo Guerrero jumps Atlantis as he walks down the stairs, starting the second straight beatdown. Mr. Niebla is Hulk'd, and his jeans are more purple this week. Zach too. Ref is Tirantes.

1: Choking beatdown, but they switch to trios stuff quick. Sombra takes the Sombra Killer to get rid of him, and Niebla quickly takes care of Atlantis.

2: Rudos still in charge. Senton de la Muerte on Sombra. Big backdrop for Dorada. Niebla knocks Dorada all the way up the rap, but then screws around takes a headscissors out there. Sombra whips UG on the ramp to a Atlantis hiptoss in the ring, then boosts Dorada into a headscissors on Guerrero. Dorada immediately up top – moonsault to the floor on Dorada. Técnicos backdrop Niebla back in. Volador returns, immediately into an Atlantida, and Niebla is finished too. These are really nothing falls.

3: Action restarts, but not before Niebla kisses Volador. Niebla cheap shots Dorada from the outside, and he and Volador take turns chopping around Dorada. Dorada whipped flipping run, corner escape where Niebla just can't catch up, Volador grabs him, Niebla swings, Volador is slapped down. Dorada walk up the ropes headscissors, Niebla goes out. Dorada rolling pose, UG in, tag for Atlantis, and UG rushes out. Atlantis chases, and then Sombra realizes he might as well chase too. Sombra and Volador in. No, Zacarias in! Zacarias posing. Volador waves him off, he'll take this one. Volador/Sombra face off. Sombra takes his shirt off. Volador brings Zacarias back in for a pose off with Sombra. Zacarias walks off. Sombra thinks Volador should take his shirt off. He does. Pointing at the crowd. Any time now. Nope. Girls in the crowd approve, and they actually cheer the guy they're supposed to. It's an odd crowd for Volador to get booed. Sombra flipping run, Volador misses a wacky clothesline, Sombra headscissors, he's out. Niebla flattens Sombra with a clothesline. Niebla dance is extra knee shaky. Not the best spit catch. Sombra of the ropes flipping over, shoulderblock, Sombra push off headscissors, Niebla slowly sets himself in the ropes, Zacarias get bopped on top to take them both the floor. UG in, Atlantis tagged back in. I can't believe they’re still pushing the mask versus mask match here. Atlantis planchas UG, UG kicks Atlantis in the corner, corner charge, no one home, out goes Atlantis. Atlantis fakes a dive and tags out. Volador and Sombra again. Volador stops to point at something and yell. Whip, dueling flipping urns, Sombra, springboard backspring headscissors works, hang in the ropes bit does not, Volador dropkicks him out and follows with a big tope con giro. Dorada and Niebla in, Niebla corner charge, Dorada barely gets him over the top rope, Niebla slaps him, but Dorada still knocks him out of the ring with a springboard dropkick. Dorada springboard tope con giro, riding Niebla back to the floor. Atlantis and UG left in. UG clothesline misses, Atlanida, UG slips down the back inside cradle one two three.
