Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:07
Rating: good
Notes: Ref is Tiger Hispano. The card for this match has Máximo and Olímpico still in Dragoncito and Demus' spots.

1: pairs are Eléctrico/Nitro, Astral/Pierrothito, Ultimo Dragoncito/Demus. Astral is way into flipping in his brief time in. Demus has a huge mohawk this week. Demus keeps trying corner whips, keeps falling. He spears the post on the way out, and Dragoncito eventually follows with a top rope moonsault. Announcers didn't see that one coming, thinking he was plancha-ing Pierrothito instead. Astral sunset flips Pierrothito, Pierrothito misses a dropkick and Eléctrico comes in with a springboard elbow drop to finish him.

2: Crazy fan screams at the card girl. She does a fine job of ignoring him. More pairs – Demus/Electrico, Nitro/Astral, until Pierrothito strikes Astral down from behind to start the beatdown. The other técnicos are knocked off the apron, and Astral is quickly finished. Eléctrico is brought back in for the other pin.

3: Rudos take out the técnicos one at a time, mostly off corner charges. Crowd is louder for Pierrothito's crew. Astral calmly moves of the way of a Mini Pierroth charge to start the comeback, then lightly powerbombs Nitro on Demus. Didn't want to hurt someone. Eléctrico boost dropkick sends Nitro and Demus out near the corner, and Eléctrico and Astral land tope con giros. Pierrothito and Dragoncito in, with Dragoncito avoiding until Pierrothito finally lands the crucifix face first powerbomb. Pierrothito runs for his finish, but Dragoncito gets in a knee to the midsection, trips Pierrothito thru the ropes – and follows with the usual huge tope con giro. Dragoncito lands in the second row, narrowly missing a women with kid. No sitting that close if you have a kid! Demus takes down Astral, and giant swings him into a Nitro dropkick. Wacky double team into a casadora splash by Demus, and that finishes one.

Match 2: Diamante, Fuego, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Loco Max, Nitro, Skándalo

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 17:13
Rating: eh
Notes: Ref is Rodolfo.

1: Pairs are Loco/Maya, Nitro/Diamante, Skándalo/Fuego. Much more even and on the mat then the last match, though it does pick up in the third exchange, as it always does. Fuego has a nice fireman's escape headscissors, though the camera doesn't catch it well. Springboard armdrag on Skándalo sends him out, and Fuego follows with a huge tope. Diamante and Loco Max in, Loco Max quick inside cradle fails, and he runs into a powerslam for a pin. Maya finishes Nitro and that's it.

2: Rey Escorpion joins the announcers to thank the fans for supporting the charity function, so his kid could have an operation. Diamante makes fun of Loco Max's height. Kind of mean form a técnico. Off the ropes avoidance leads to a Loco Max dropkick to the knee, and to Loco Max yelling in Diamante's face. Diamante kips up into a back flip, then grabs Loco Max for triple bounce twisting springboard armdrag. Loco Max goes out, and Diamante chases him a bit. Maya gets Nitro with his array of armdrags, then two quebradoras on the floor. Fuego and Skándalo have a chop fight that is oddly even. Fuego pulls Skándalo down by his mohawk, then gets kicked form the outside by Loco Max. Tuareg take the ring from there. Fuego held in the ropes for the Skándalo low blow dropkick, knocking him to the ramp. Maya is backdropped and take a Nitro low blow dropkick for a pin.

3: Diamante tries to out do an earlier Maya distance mark on a backdrop. Rudos get Fuego in a two man tapatía, but Diamante pulls out Loco max and Maya break it up the hold with a legdrop. Comeback slapping and choking all around. Skándalo takes corner charges fro the técnicos, and Fuego gets to be the latest técnico to hit Skándalo with his own low blow missile dropkick. Glancing quebrada hits, Skándalo and Fuego get lost, Fuego sends him the corner, charge in, Skándalo lifts him up, sets up, and runs to the center – Skandalo Driver. Diamante makes the save with a dropkick. Quebradora con giro, and a dropkick to send him out. Loco Max misses a senton, flips Diamante to the apron, but takes a springboard dropkick from the tall técnico. Diamante teases a dive, slows down at the ropes, and misses on the pescado. Maya and Nitro in, Maya drops down, Nitro drops an elbow on him. Nitro slaps Maya around. Whip, reversed, Maya armdrag, big shoulderblock. Maya runs, but Skándalo trips him up and Nitro adds the dropkick to the face. Double spinebuster on Maya, Nitro low bow elbow drop, double armbar with Nitro tying up the legs. That's it.

Match 3: Delta, Máximo, Super Porky vs El Alebrije, Olímpico, Shigeo Okumura
Arena Mexico, 11/01/2011

  1. técnicos

  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 13:30
Rating: eh
Notes: Ref is Pompin.

1: pairs are Delta/Olímpico , Máximo/Okumura, Porky/Alebrije. When Delta is the serious one, we're all in trouble. Máximo is very Máximo with Okumura. Alebrije still can some how be the the guy flying around for all of Porky's stuff, including taking a belly bump out. Cuije charges into Porky's belly and falls down, Olímpico kicks Porky down, Delta gets him with a headscissors, and fakes him into a Máximo plancha from the apron. Fireman's carry drop for Olímpico, Porky goes up for a splash, but Porky ends up punching Alebrije as he charges in. Técnicos wrap it up for the win.

2: Alebrije is a target for Delta's springboard dropkicks for a bit, then the other rudos take him down. Rudos split his legs, but Delta recovers for a boosted headscissors on Okumura of questionable quality. Olímpico rolls into a dropkick to the backside, I guess. Neither of the last two spots look well. Delta chases Olímpico to the crowd, where's found the lap of a female fan. Amazing how that happens. Máximo lands the double jump butt bump on Okumura, but Olímpico back elbows him (and dances) before he can do much more. Máximo comes back to kiss Olímpico. Porky's turn, except the rudos randomly take control of the match. Other técnicos are cleared out, double suplex on Porky, Cuije tossed on top, three count.

3: Beatdown lasts one Cuije spot before Delta's coming back with run up the ropes armdrags. Ring cleared out quick, Delta lands the tope con giro on Okumura, Porky apron splashes Alebrije, Máximo tries to kiss Olímpico again and Olímpico fouls him, though the cameras miss the shot. Seemed much shorter than the time.

Match 4: La Máscara, La Sombra, Rush vs Averno, Psicosis, Volador Jr.
Arena Mexico, 11/01/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 19:25
Rating: good
Notes: Sombra has a costumed child (Red Ridding Hood) on his shoulders on the way to the ring. Psicosis has an evil pumpkin painted on his chest. Volador is Darth Maul, including light saber. Averno is Averno. Though he does have a Puma jersey on. Ref is Maya.

1: Pairs are Rush/Psicosis, Sombra/Volador, Mascara/Averno. Rush throws Psi around a lot. Crowd very loud for the Sombra/Volador faceoff. Averno darts into break Sombra's hold twice, Mascara chasing him off the second time. Volador slides out after just one headscissors once things finally get sorted. Crowd into Mascara/Averno, though not at quite the same level. Averno walks off without ever locking up, and baits Mascara into a sneak attack by Psicosis. Rudos stomp from inside and out until Sombra breaks it up. Mascara rolls thru a sunset flip to dropkick Psicosis for a near fall. Máscara is flipped to the apron, superkicks Averno, swing kicks Psicosis and eats a Volador superkick. Averno beats up Máscara on the outside while the técnicos run over the rudos in the ring. Averno is crotched on the post. Triple powerbomb X 2 on Rush to finish him. Volador spikes Sombra to finish him.

2: Corner clothesline for Mascara, with Volador adding a superkick. That's three. Crowd noise is way down all the sudden – I think they've muted them to do their upcoming show promos, but it's very odd. Psicosis lands his senton on Rush. Superkick for Sombra. (Four.) Volador Rush slaps everyone, but Volador takes him down and slaps him a bunch. Rush side steps a corner charge by Averno to start the comeback. Clothesline for Psicosis, Volador dropkicks him, Sombra springboard dropkicks for him, Averno kicks him, Mascara headscissors for Averno. Mascara top on Averno to send him into the front row – it's May all over again! Other técnicos wrap it up, with Sombra looking strong.

3: Psicosis and Sombra start. The girls are way behind Sombra. Sombra with a nice back spin headscissors to send the Invasor out. Averno in, taking a rope bounce headscissors. Volador calmly steps in the ring. Sombra takes off his shirt as they go face to face. Volador taps him on the chest and screams at the crowd. Pose on the middle rope. Pose on the middle rope by Sombra. Mixed reaction for both as they take turns. Sombra springboard backspin headscissors, and a tope con giro after! He's not wasting time. Mascara and Averno in, Averno doesn't like this – wand walks out again. His teammates go with him, but all agree to come back after a bit. Rush tags in, and Volador in to face him. Volador is doing a Sting like holler this week. I can only guess what YouTube videos he's been watching this week. Volador decides to get in a chest slap fight with Rush. Rush seems annoyed by the suggestion, and demands Volador keep hitting him harder. Volador does, but the running clothesline doesn't work. Rush runs, Volador tries to sneak in a clothesline, and Rush powerslams him. Running dropkick to the back. Psicosis sin, belly to belly suplex for him. Psicosis thrown in the técnico corner, kicks, and chopped. Crowd boos. Corner whip, reversed, Rush flipped to the apron, Averno flips him to the apron, Rush fights back and goes up. Averno slapped down, missile dropkicks or Psicosis, Averno misses the senton, Rush ducks an invisible clothesline and superkicks Averno out. (five?) Rush pose to massive boos. Averno charges back in the ring to get some more, but Mascara tags in - and now Averno slides right back out. Volador in to face La Mascara, though La Mascara demands to face Averno. Averno solves that by walking off again. Psicosis ends up in with Mascara. Máscara of the ropes, over, under, clothesline misses, Mascara back with a headscissors and out goes Psicosis. Volador in, Mascara's shirt off. Mascara's mask is totally untied. Slap fight inside, Volador ask to take it out, Máscara leaves, Volador just watches him, then kicks Mascara as he comes back in. Volador running kick misses, Mascara swing kicks him away. Up top, headscissors sends Volador to apron. That leaves big boss Averno, who mockingly claps for Mascara. Both take take to stoke the crowd before actually fighting. Máscara of the ropes, back with a flipping armdrag. Averno right out, and Mascara up top – plancha connects. Sombra misses a dropkick to the rudos, whipped back to Rush, Rush flips him away, kicks down the rudos, and Sombra springboard planchas them both. Rush senton on at least one of them, técnicos pick up the rudos, rudos turn the tables and get time killing holds in the corners, and Mascara and Averno come back in. Mascara casadora – campana! Rudos rush to break it up, but the técnicos are now the ones holding them back – and Averno gives. Cheers and boos.

Confetti? Confetti. Mascara points out he won, he won Averno's mask, and he wants a rematch for Averno's title. Averno carefully reaches for the microphone so he's not attacked. Averno says Mascara got lucky. Averno accepts the title match – if it's held in front of an empty arena. Crowd and announcers react amusingly. Averno's not fighting for these people! Máscara does the one fall hair/mask challenge, and Averno is all shocked.
