CMLL on Teleformula #71 (10/30/2011)
Recapped: 11/02/11

Announcers are JCR, Amapola and bald Rey Bucanero. So we're about 1 month behind taping, and the show itself is a couple weeks behind that. Amapola is wearing all black, so much so that she seems to be a floating head.

Match 1: Fuego, Metro, Sangre Azteca vs Cancerbero, Pólvora, Vangelis
Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, 09/20/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:51
Rating: bleh
Notes: Fuego and Pólvora get into a fight as Fuego enters, Pólvora knocking Fuego into the ring before Metro breaks it up. It's stopped by the time Sangre gets to the ring.

1: Fuego quickly gets Cancerbero with a headscissors, but Pólvora jumps him to start the beatdown. Vangelis unties Sangre's mask for lack of anything better to do. Pólvora has Fuego's mask untied pretty easy, then drops him with the Pólvora Driver in the center of the ring. Somehow, Fuego's not the captain, so the other rudos stand Sangre Azteca on his head too.

2: Vangelis kicks Metro in the front row, pushing him onto a woman. That's lucha match making. Corner clotheslines for Metro. Triple boot on Sangre, the boots mostly coming nowhere near on Sangre. Fuego ducks a double clothesline to start the comeback, and a sudden clip has Fuego diving on Pólvora on the outside. That was random an incomprehensible. Sangre gives Vangelis a quebradora, then Cancerbero clumsily jumps off the top rope (!?!?!) just so Sangre can counter dropkick him. That's one pin, Metro gives Vangelis a botched looking slam con giro to finish him. Backbreaker screwed up? Shield messed up? I dunno.

3: Pólvora and Fuego get in a chop fight, then Pólvora stops and cranks Fuego's arms around the rope while looking around at something. Clip to Sangre charging Cancerbero in another corner and slapping him. The editing here is amazing. Anyway, Sangre lands a running up the ropes spinning DDT and front rolls as Sangre out. Metro in, but no rudo. Vangelis and Cancerbero are talking on the floor, so Pólvora is forced in – to talk, and then step out. Cancerbero is down and not getting up. Fuego, bored like me, rushes across the ring and challenges Pólvora. Pólvora bails, but this does distract the fans. Fuego slides back in, walking right around a couple of fans, and I have no idea where they came from, but they were kind of in the way. Crowd chants at them. Finally, Cancerbero comes in to face Metro. Chop fight goes Metro's way. Pólvora comes in for a pose off. Chest slap fight leads to a Metro superkick, and out goes Pólvora. Vangelis takes the giant armdrag. Casadora armdrag sends him out, and Metro follows with a tope. Cancerbero tries kicking Sangre, Sangre flips him, Cancerbero and Sangre have problems, including Sangre stopping in the middle of a corner whip and continuing, but eventually get to the time killing submission. That leads the feuding guys, and Fuego lands his quebrada, and locks in his legsweep armbar for the submission.

Match Time: 10:27

Notes: Cancerbero is back out, but with the Puerto Rican flag and a Puerto Rican flag shirt (!) to be Pierrothito's second. Bam Bam looks ridiculously wearing a baseball cap with the brim to the side. Fuego is his second. Ref is Edgar. Clipped to the match in progress.

1: Mat wrestling leads to a Pierrothito modified camel clutch. Bam Bam stands up out of it, flips Pierrothito the mat, and still gets takedown again. Pierrothito has stanidng knee bar, but Bam Bam nicely turns it into a headscissors. JCR brings up Bam Bam just lost his hair in Arena Mexico, like Rey, and his fellow announcers turn on him for bringing up the loss again. Pierrothito drop toe hold, back mounted facelock, Bam Bam out to a wristlock, Pierrothito bridges on his head to escape the pressure, gets dropped on his back, but eventually rolls it into a two count pin of his own. Up, back and forth leads to another Pierrothito drop toe hold, Bam Bam trips him up, Bam Bam off the ropes, Pierrothito armdrag into a reverse headscissors submission.

2: Pierrothito big suplex as they pick up the match, but only gets two. Bam Bam lifted onto Pierorthito right shoulder, and rolled off, one two NO. Crowd busy chanting against each other. Kneeling surfboard by Pierrothito. Chest slap, and Bam Bam dropped to one knee. Whip, clothesline misses, Bam Bam quebradora con giro and the champ is down. Pierrothito charge again, clothesline misses, superkick connects. Some not so great camera work on that. Chest slap, Pierrothito sent to the ropes. Corner whip, reversed, Bam Bam sunset flip, Pierrothito rolls thru and kicks, Bam Bam ducks that, Pierrothito slaps him anyway. Pierrothito chop misses and changes him in the ropes, Bam Bam guillotine legdrop. One two three.

3: Bam Bam has a good rope running evasive bit, and headscissors Pierrothito to the ropes. Champion is shell shocked at the moment. Bam Bam slide under his leapfrog, Pierrothito charges and is flipped to the apron. Pierrothito backs up to the ramp, then walks forward into the cop. Pierrothito backs up again, and Bam Bam joins him on the ramp via top rope plancha. Pierrothito misses a clothesline, charges back to the ring, and takes a big backdrop in. Bam Bam springboard dropkicks sends Pierrothito out the other way. Running up the ropes – nice plancha to the floor. Look like he was unbalanced on the top rope, but Bam Bam pulled it off. Towel waving – is the Puerto Rican flag actually a Puerto Rican towel? Cancerbero is acting like it is. Bam Bam makes it in first, waiting for Pierrothito to make it. He makes the count, but gets slapped all around. Bam Bam fireman's carry side toss, one two NO. Bam Bam slaps Pierrothito to the ropes. Whip, reversed, 619 fake meets Pierrothito dropkick! Bam Bam goes out, Pierrothito waits for his moment, then runs – corner springboard plancha. Both out on the floor again. Rey is still picking Pierrothito to win this. Pierrothito makes it back in, Bam Bam near the corner, Pierrothito charge into a kick. Bam Bam top rope plancha, Pierrothito rolls thru, one two NO. Bam Bam trips up Pierrothito, tapatía on. Crowd cheers. Pierrothito breaks his arm free, shakes his head no, and bends back – Pierrothito bridges on his head, but Bam Bam's shoulders are down and he's trapped – one two no! Bam Bam almost lost to his own hold. Bam Bam smacks Pierrothito, dumps him in front of the corner, and heads up. Top rope, moonsault, misses. Bam Bam sits up, falls back down, and Pierrothito covers, one two NO. Pierrothito slaps Bam Bam to the ropes, and jabs him in the side. Whip, inverted powerslam, elbow drop, pose, off the ropes, off the ropes, tripped up by Bam Bam before he can get the hold. Bam Bam Oklahoma roll, one two NO around to another cradle one two no. Bam Bam running out of options and gas. Clothesline misses, Pierrothito chops him into the ropes. Pierrothito dropkicks misses again, Bam Bam tries the guillotine legdrop and comes up empty this time. Pierrothito slingshot senton back in, Pierrothitina, Bam Bam gives.

Match 3: La Máscara, La Sombra, Máscara Dorada vs El Alebrije, Mephisto, Mr. Águila
Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, 09/20/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:34
Rating: good
Notes: Cuije is with Alebrije. Mascara Dorada does a big dive roll into the ring and heads to pose, even though Mephisto is already kicking at him, just missing. Dorada poses on the middle rope before Mephisto yanks him down and the rudos start beating up the técnicos. Sombra is a bit slow to realize his friends are being beat. Clip from the beatdown to the beatdown in progress.

1: Various brawling. Mascara is back elbows in the center of the ring, and Alebrije tosses Cuije on top for the pin. Dorada goes down to the flapjack/kick to the chest bit.

2: Mephisto goes for Dorada's mask while the others fool around. Dorada's mask comes off, but he keeps it front of his friends. Rey Bucanero talks about people taking photos of a briefly unmasked Dorada. That would never happen. He's hung in the tree of woe, and Cuije gets in a dropkick. Mascara lunges at him, but is held for a Cuije dropkick and a smack to the head. Mephisto teases a martinete to Dorada on the stage, abut referee Loco breaks it up. Cuije low blow dropkicks Sombra. Aguila lands his jumping heel kick on Sombra. Invasor are standing around and looking at the other técnicos when Dorada sneaks in a headscissors on Mephisto. Alebrije quickly rushes over and forearms Dorada in the back to send him out. Mascara a three leg legdrop from Alebrije and Cuije. Máscara sidesteps a corner charge and superkicks Alebrije to start the comeback. Aguila gets him, Sombra is in late to springboard plancha Aguila, and Dorada springboard headscissors Mephisto Alebrije knocks Dorada down whit his bulk. Sombra planchas him, Aguila is no help, Mascara jumps in, and técnicos get their finishes as Dorada chases Mephisto thru the ring.

3: Sombra and “Papi Chulo Essa Rios” do dueling flipping runs before a headscissors sends Aguila out. Alebrije flips Sombra to the apron, Sombra airs for him and gets him with a springboard headscissors. Sombra goes for the mask, and is only slightly distracted by Cuije's kicks. Overhead press, and toss to Alebrije, Springboard dropkick knocks them both out of the ring, and Sombra rope flips for fun. Somehow, a fan seems to trip over Cuije – we don't see it, but we see both the fan and Cuije on the ground. Mephisto and Máscara have a slap fight before Máscara takes off his shirt. They stop chopping them, and Mascara lands a kick on a sunset flip roll thru. Mephisto flips him to the apron, but Máscara superkicks Alebrije, swing kicks Mephisto and an armdrag/headscissors Alebrije and Mephisto. Back in, superkick for Aguila, quebradora con giro for Mephisto. Cuije's grabbed by the head and spun around. Somehow he claims this is a foul? Dorada in, but no rudo. He pokes at Alebrije, who yells at the crowd instead of chasing him. Chop fight goes the bigger man’s way, though Sombra comes in to demand Alebrije pull down his wings to give Dorada a fair shot. Loud slap, and Alebrije puts his wings back on for safety. Dorada flipping run, headscissors, Alebrije slide out thru the ropes. Aguila kicks Dorada down by surprise and smiles about it. Dorada comes back by avoiding a corner charge, spinning on the corner, and of with a headscissors. Mephisto in, Mephisto slides out on him, Dorada tope con giro after him. Rudos double team Mascara, but he boost dropkicks Alebrije out, and Sombra dropkicks Aguila out. Double tope there. Back to Mephisto and Dorada in, and Dorada springboards into a foul. That's it.

Right to the show ending replays.
