Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:32
Rating: good
Notes: Ref is Bestia Negra.

1: Pairs are Halcón/Olímpico, Nitro/Eléctrico, and Demus/Dragoncito. Dragoncito is wearing his Argos tribute outfit, and pulls of a nice spinning headscissors to send Demus flying. Nitro comes in to help, but Demus still spears the post, and Dragoncito moonsaults from the corner on to him. Halcón sets up Nitro for Electrico's finish, which does not looking so great, and then beats the champ for his own win. Three rolls on his tapatía.

2: Halcon's springboard is met with a Demus dropkick, and the rudo beatdown starts right away. Demus gets in a Fuerza punt on Dragoncito, and Nitro adds a dropkick to his giant swing. Two man press slam bomb on Halcón, and Nitro adds the pointless elbow drop to eliminate him, and Eléctrico goes down quite quickly after.

3: Double hiptoss for Halcón. Nitro dropkicks Halcón out, who loses his balance and stumbles backwards on the floor before falling down. Dragoncito evades a corner charge right after, running rudos into each other. Demus manages to knock him down, but Dragoncito fights him off, and gets a headscissors. That was on odd digression. Dragoncito teases a dive to follow and poses, but Olímpico dropkicks him. Halcón in and elbowed around. Corner whip, reversed, Halcón charges in, Olímpico flips him to the apron, Halcón shoves him away (I guess), springboard plancha back in. Halcón with a run up the ropes, front flip armdrag, but Olímpico still stays in. Quebradora con giro, and that's enough for Olímpico. Nitro and Eléctrico includes a nice slingshot into a headscissors, and a fireman's carry escape headscissors. Eléctrico follows with a tope con giro, landing on his feet and taking a seat to watch the rest. Halcón gets Olímpico with a slingshot headscissors in. Captains left. Demus clothesline grabbed and turns into a fireman's drop. Dragon stomps Demus a few times, yells to the crowd, and heads up. Demus back up quick and crotching him. Dragoncito adjusts his legs and as Demus yells. Valagueza, one two three.

  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:13
Rating: ok
Notes: Ref is Tigre Hispano

1: Pairs are Pegasso/Virus (simpler than Virus mat sections usually are), Yoshihashi/Rey Cometa, and Sagrado/Raziel. Raziel cartwheels out of a monkey flip, neat. Sagrado rallies back with a swing kick, a springboard plancha, and a headscissors. Out goes Raziel, out goes Sagrado with a tope. Air Force pick up the other falls.

2: Cometa gets Yoshihashi with a headscissors, fakes him out of the ring, and then does his own dive fake. Yoshihashi hides. Pegasso bounces Virus and Raziel around before his own pose. Raziel rolls thru a Sagrado sunset flip to land a dropkick, and that's enough for the rudo to finally get control. Corner charges for Sagrado. Yoshihashi dropkicks Pegasso. Raziel argues with Tiger Hispano about something, which lets me to the fact Yoshihashi is not doing that his match. Triple boot to Cometa. Yoshihashi spinebuster and sort of STF finished Sagrado for the win.

3: Rudos still in control, but switching to brawling for a bit. Raziel lifts Cometa on his shoulder, then spins him into a slam. Everyone takes a turn knocking down Cometa. Everyone takes a turns lapping Sagrado. Corner whip, Sagrada evades – second straight match for that - and superkicks Virus. Raziel kicks him, Cometa gets Raziel with a springboard headscissors, roll out of the way of Yoshihashi’s senton, and Pegasso gets Yoshihashi with an armdrag. Virus slaps down both técnicos, spinebuster for Sagrado, Yoshihashi helps hold him in and double armbar, Raziel adds a springboard dropkick to the head- but Cometa springboard dropkicks him. Pegasso rudos stomp Cometa out, Pegasso tries his own springboard in, rudos evade, Cometa hangs Pegasso in the ropes, Virus hanging dropkick connects, and Raziel locks on Satanico’s old standing figure four. Pegasso gives. Yoshihashi jackhammers Cometa to end it.

Match 3: Blue Panther, Héctor Garza, Jushin Lyger vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Texano
Arena Mexico, 09/20/2011

  1. técnicos

  2. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:51
Rating: eh
Notes: Brawl already going on, rudos getting the better of it. Ref is Rodolfo.

1: Rey goes after Lyger's mask. That's optimistic. Brawling reaches the ring, continues. TRT come to together to triple boot Lyger, then Bucanero holds him for a kick to the face. Garza tries to fight back, and gets slapped and kicked. Garza tries to roll out after that, but is forced to stay in for the triple frontcracker. Not at all well timed. Giant swing dropkick combo on Panther has a bit of timing problems, but ends up OK. Lyger and Garza whipped into each other on the apron. Bucanero and Texano celebrate, oblivious to Panther armbaring Terrible behind them. That's the fall. Terrible and Bucanero fool around so long, they almost miss Panther's arm getting raised.

2: Rudos threaten a walkout. Garza lets a woman take off his shirt and keep it. Making fans, one at a time. Lyger gets Texano with a headscissors and a quebradora. Bucanero clothesline misses, Lyger quebradora there. Texano manages to squeeze in a slap to the face to stun Lyger to the ropes. Bucanero sits on top of Lyger and chokes him for a second. Whip, double clothesline is too high, Texano shoves into Bucanero to send Rey out, dropkick by Lyger. Panther comes in to help double team, but instead goes mad on Texano. His partner have to calm him down and Lyger asks for Panther to not hit him. Whip, double Running headbutt. Lyger covers (!) one two NO. Panther yanks Texano by his hair, and Terrible has to save. Texano chops Panther and gets out. Slap. Whip, Panther sunset flip, Terrible rolled back into a Garza kick from the apron. Garza slingshot rolls in, but gives Terrible the stop sign to remove his pants. Texano slips in behind and kicks Garza. Garza fights them off on a corner charge, headscissors one, armdrags the other. Loud kick to end his bit. Bucanero thinks about coming in, decides to leave. Fans boo Bucanero into coming back, Garza quickly gets the moonsault one two three.

Not the captain, so this keeps going. Doble T bum-rushes Bucanero out. Other four all in, Lyger headscissors Texano, and Panther kicks him out. Texano's fallen in love with that back first exit. Lyger gets him with a tope con giro from the apron. Panther and Terrible in, Terrible rolls to escape the armbar, Panther 'rana reversed into Terrible Clash. One Two three.

Garza in too late to break it, but plenty of time to kick Terrible. Whip, Terrible clothesline misses, Terrible plancha misses, and Garza kicks Terrible on the mat. Tapatía – no, Bucanero rushes in and fouls him. That's illegal for multiple reasons, and the end of the match.

Bucanero yells at Garza & Panther about the cage match.

Match 4: Ángel de Oro, Diamante, Rush vs Olímpico, Psicosis, Volador Jr. for the Mexican National Trios Championship
Arena Mexico, 09/20/2011

  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 16:37
Rating: very good
Notes: Psicosis & Volador are wearing matching split masks. Olímpico is still Olímpico. Técnicos enter together to angel de Oro's music. Someone's been working on the entrance videos (for the important people, anyway!) Referee is Bestia Negra.

1: Olímpico and Angel de Oro start on the mat, Angel de Oro mostly trying to catch up. Oro stands up out of a monkey flip, both guys avoid each other moves, and tags. Diamante and Psicosis in. Dueling armdrags there, Psicosis getting the better of it, and both guys missing drops. Monkey flip stood out of it. That seems familiar, back to the armdrags to the stand off to shoves. Crowd comes live for the Rush versus Volador faceoff, but the rudos quickly cheap shot Rush and clear off the apron. Rush ducks a double clothesline and surprises Volador with a dropkick, with his partners coming back in with a springboard dropkick. TRIPLE TOPE. Everyone's wiped out. Olímpico and Angel de Oro make it back in, with Angel de Oro springboard armdrags Olímpico out the others side. Psicosis knocks Angel de Oro out, Diamante springboard headscissors, Valiente hard dropkick, Rush clothesline - misses, and Volador superkicks him. Volador frontcracker – is blocked, and turned into the fireman's carry bomb! Senton, one two three. Crowd not happy.

2: Dueling flipping runs, then Volador headscissors Angel de Oro. Oro back bends under a clothesline and superkicks Volador out of the ring. Psicosis ambushed the técnicos with a dropkick. Chop, whip, Oro rolls to the ropes, Psicosis misses a running boot, Angel de Oro superkicks him free. Diamante flipping and rolling in. Evasion, ends with Psicosis being slide out by his chest. Olímpico in, Diamante armdrags him and stop him with a quebrada. Dropkick misses, and Olímpico’s one lands. Rush – BOOO – powerslams Olímpico, sits him up, off both ropes, and dropkicks him in the head. This match is MOVING. Rush kicking Psicosis as he comes in, and chopping him on the ropes. Rush yelling at the fans who are yelling at him. Clothesline misses, belly to belly is more to the side this time. Loud kick sends Psicosis out. Rush lingers near the ropes, and Volador yanks him down by his hair. Volador poses, and Rush superkicks him off. Rush runs – tope con giro whipping out Volador. Diamante in, clothesline on Psicosis misses, and Olímpico grabs the arm to turn into a reverse legsweep cradle. Oro is lifted up into an Atlantida slam, and both Invasors get the three count.

3: Rudos hold the ring. Double back elbow for Diamante, Olímpico dropkicks him out. Rush in and chopping everyone, so everyone chops and stomps him. Crowd is making a loud of stomping noise – well, until they get bored with that. Whip, triple powerbomb, up again, and another triple powerbomb. Pin Olímpico goes for a double stump puller instead, but Angel de Oro gently breaks it up with a kick. Looks like his partners were ordered back to the corners. Angel de Oro drags Olímpico in position, goes the apron, and back in with the outside in springboard moonsaults. Volador and Psicosis break up the pin, and hold Angel de Oro up for the swinging gate powerbomb. Psicosis stays in alone this time – crucifix bomb, one two Diamante breaks it up. Diamante sit down powerbomb one two Volador breaks it up. Olímpico back in too. Corner whip, Diamante whipped into the corner, corner clothesline by Psicosis, double chop by the other two. Diamante held up by the other two, and Psicosis adds the big top rope senton. No pin, rudos are all busy being happy about themselves. Before Volador leisurely covers. Rush easily breaks it up. Chop fight with Volador turns in Volador against all three, and Rush actually wins that with a dropkick. Stomps on the mat. Angel de Oro and Diamante in, and they seem slightly confused because they're being booed. Rush is not confused. Volador held for técnico chops. Whip, Diamante powerslam, Angel de Oro standing moonsault, rush off both ropes double stomp, everyone covers one two three – well, it looked like three because the rudos were late to break it up, but it's a two so the match can keep going. Rudos dropkick and clothesline the técnicos out – triple tope con giro. Volador's looks a bit better than Olímpico, and a poor fan at ringside totally gets clipped trying to get away. He's down, and so are the luchadors. Volador is the first to get up, but only gets down so he can rest on the ramp instead. Diamante and Olímpico back inside, Diamante northern lights suplex one two NO. Diamante small package, one two Volador breaks it up. Corner whip, reversed, Diamante charges in, no one home, Volador charges in, Diamante corner sunset flip, Volador rolls thru, Diamante retreats to the corner, Volador charges, headscissors driver! Volador falls on top. One two Angel de Oro breaks it up! Angel de Oro handspring casadora into a mecedora – Volador needs some help right here. Rocking, rocking, and Psicosis breaks it up. Psicosis wastes no time with his own hold – tapatía! Rush walks in, in no hurry, and angrily stomps Rush. Corner whip, Rush flipped to the apron, Rush up top, missile dropkick. One two Olímpico throws Rush off the top. Olímpico throws Rush around by the hair. Sure jealously there! Olímpico spinebuster, crab – and Angel de Oro breaks it up with a superkick. Everyone's had a try now, what's next. Whip, quick reversed, Angel de Oro takedown, cristo invertido! Angel de Oro gives!

Rush in, Olímpico clothesline misses, back suplex, senton, one two three. That didn't take long.

Psicosis dropkicks Rush out, Diamante springboard planchas him, Psicosis rolls thru one two no. Diamante kicks Psicosis down, backs up, charges and takes a monkey flip to the floor. Psicosis takes a look, runs – superman tope connects. Volador and Rush in, and the crowd picks it up by a level or six. Volador misses a corner charge, Rush sort of front cracker out of the corner. Fireman's drop, double stomp, and Rush is going to the apron. Thumb across the throat. Heading up! This never works – flying senton misses! Volador signals – backcracker! One two three! Crowd is thrilled. I don’t think they thought they were getting this one.

Diamante and Angel de Oro help the rudos put on their belts. Not so much with Rush. Volador makes sure to take his belt back off to taunt Rush.
