Match 1: Aereo & Pequeño Halcón vs Mercurio & Pequeño Universo 2000
Arena Mexico, 10/04/2011

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:59
Rating: eh
Notes: Referee is Rodolfo. This is almost a Reyes del Ring special here

1: Pairs are Mercurio/Halcón and Universo/Aereo. Aereo gets Universo with a flipping armdrag, Mercurio dropkick him out, Halcón planchas Mercurio, headscissors him out, and follows with a tope con giro that looks like he's never going to turn over until he does. Universo and Aereo in, Universo instantly winning with an armbar/half crab thing. Pequeño Halcón gets counted on his own dive! That makes no sense.

2: Beatdown. Wheelbarrow dropkick for Aereo. Halcón lands on his feet after a monkey flip so Mercurio can superkick him right away. Double for Aereo. Rebound hiptoss and dropkick for Halcón. Aero escapes the same, ducks a double clothesline, and is booted anyway. Halcón springboards in and armdrags Mercurio anyway. Halcón chases after Mercurio on the outside, Mercurio slips to the apron and lands an Asai tornillo. It's a nice one, which the crowd digs. Aereo drops Universo face first into the mat on a fireamn’s carry flapjack. One two three. Once again, the guy doing the dive is counted out.

3: Aereo flipping run meets another Mercurio superkick. Aereo fireman's carry escape headscissors is not so smooth, gets boos. Mercurio takes the big chest slide exit. Aero poses, gets booed, and cups his ears. You can do that when you don't botch a move and people are still booing you. Universo is quickly out of his breath in his exchange. Halcón has to run the ropes a long time to get a headscissors. He goes out, Aereo lands a plancha. Mercurio gets a near fall of a bodyscissors cradle, then drops Halcón with a Buca Storm.

Match 2: Leono, Molotov, Trueno vs Bronco, Rayo Tapatío I, Rayo Tapatío II

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 13:06
Rating: eh

1: It takes some time for people to sort themselves out to start. Even, one of the Rayos wanders up the ramp to yell at people. Bronco lasts in the ring about 15 seconds with Leono before he takes one armdrag and slides out. Bronco does come back in, just being a big guy for Leono to headscissors from odd angles. Rayo's have cool new red masks, I see. Trueno and Rayo – II? - are next. Announcers are too busy saying hi to everyone to clarify right then, but do mention Molotov and Rayo (actual!) II are the captains when they're in. Molotov topes II, Uno teases a dive, just hits the ropes instead for no clear reason, and then turns to take down Trueno after he's coming in. Leono watches form the apron as Bronco lands the top rope splash on Trueno, then Leono comes in to take his submission. Timing issues here. I think the announcers have switched around the Rayos on me, saying Uno is the one who took the dive and Dos is the one who put on the submission. Eh.

2: Beatdown. Bronco does the Skándalo stomp and dropkick. They all must be getting it from someone else. Catapult into a double dropkick is nice. Leono is firey and fights back a bunch, but takes the giant swing/dropkick combo. Bronco feeds himself into a Molotov bodyscissors to send him out to start the comeback. Rayos kick Molotov down, other técnicos springboard armdrag them out and land pescados on the Rayos. It's the same match with different people! Molotov just gets over on the Toyota roll with no room to spear, and that's the fall. Crowd is very anti-técnico.

3: Showcases go Trueno, Leono, Molotov then back to Trueno before everyone gets involved for near falls. Non captains are left in, técnicos set up the rudos and get their moves. Molotov gets Rayo II in a hold a bit too late.

Match 3: Ángel de Plata, Fuego, Pegasso vs Hijo del Signo, Nosferatu, Raziel

Match Time: 14:53
Rating: ok
Notes: Ref is Bestia Negra.

1: Pairs are Plata/Nosferatu (slow, Nosferatu fitness is really an issue), Raziel/Pegasso (armdrags a plenty, eventually both ways, with Raziel twisting Pegasso into a cradle until he pulled out more armdrags), and Fuego/Signo. Fuego gets in off the shoulders and spinning armdrags to send Signo out, has a bit of hesitation with Raziel, tries a casadora armdrag on him, but Raziel cartwheels out of that. Fuego springboard plancha misses, and Raziel dropkicks him out. Pegasso lands a springboard plancha but Raziel trips him up on the ropes, and slaps him. Running it misses, and Plata lands a springboard splash. Nosferatu fails at breaking that up with an elbow, Pegasso boots Plata into a dropkick – but no one's home. Pegasso sent into Plata to send Plata out. Rudos all in and all in control. Corner whip for Pegasso, back elbow, splash, and legs held apart for a Signo low blow dropkick. CMLL sure likes that spot. Corner charges For Plata include him being whipped out for a (late) Nosferatu spear. Corner charges for Fuego too, with the técnico set on top for a Raziel's super pumphandle face first powerbomb. Three, and captain.

2: Beatdown still on. Triple boot for Pegasso. Rudos have more trouble than you'd think double suplexing Fuego. Nosferatu was involved. Signo & Raziel are pulled out by the técnicos going for a move, and Plata cradles Nosferatu for two. Nosferatu kicks badly, whips Plata, Plata turns it into a tope on Raziel, and he falls on a woman in the front row. Signo and Nosferatu bubble in the ring, then Pegasso and Fuego submit then. Booing is loud.

3: Fuego/Signo have a chop battle. Signo wins with a kick to the chest. Choke in the corner, and stomping there. Fuego turns an armdrag unconvincingly into some front flips. Idea is nice anyway. Back bend under a clothesline. Crowd is really annoying with the booing of every técnico like they’re Rush today. Rope flip armdrag and Signo out. Pegasso takes care of Nosferatu. Plata/Raziel are last – Plata backflips after a teased dive, but the other rudos kick them down. Técnicos sent into each other, but dropkick the other rudos out and land tope con giros in opposite directions. Actual cheers! Angel de Plata and Raziel back in, battling hiptosses end with an armscissors cradle for the pin.

Match 4: Ángel de Oro, Black Warrior, Metro vs Ephesto, Misterioso Jr., Vangelis

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:46
Rating: eh
Notes: Ref is Rodolfo.

1: Pairs are Metro/Vangelis (Metro eventually throwing him around – Vangelis has support signs again), Plata/Misterioso, and Warrior/Ephesto. The last is an event exchange for a bit, then Warrior lands a wheel kick, Ephesto lands on the middle rope, Warrior lands a 619, Warrior walks up, float off his back and applies a casita for the three. Rudos are way too slow to react. Vangelis stays in to try and fight, Misterioso bails. Vangelis has MULTIPLE signs.

2: Angel de Oro gets the double rotation headscissors on Misterioso, but runs into Vangelis' wheel kick. Angel de Oro slap sets up a Metro plancha, and Vangelis runs into the giant hiptoss. Quebradora con giro for Misterioso, who greats coming in. One for Ephesto too. Ephesto manages to flip Metro to the ramp, where Metro lands awkwardly and goes down. Warrior gives Ephesto a Running headbutt to knock him down, corner whip, Ephesto kips up and out, Warrior clotheslines him anyway. Vangelis stops Warrior with a back elbow. Warrior sunset flips Vangelis on a whip, and rolls him into Misterioso’s kick. Warrior does his dance, Ephesto kicks him down, and suddenly we have all three rudos in the ring vs Oro. That was an odd transition into a beatdown. Misterioso tosses Oro to Vangelis for the northern lights suplex. Corner clothesline for Metro, then whipped out for Mephisto's backbreaker and Ephesto’s legdrop. That's the fall.

3: Vangelis grabs Metro as if he's going to try a giant swing, but Metro is a bit too giant from him. Misterioso directs Ephesto to just do a legdrop instead. Corner charges for Angel de Oro. Warrior takes the slap to the nose. Metro is slapped hard. Corner whip evasion starts the comeback. Vangelis boots Metro into a monkey flip on Misterioso, and Oro sends Vangelis on the ring via armdrag. Double dive, matching topes. They really haven't been mixing it the action up this show, have they. Ephesto and Misterioso left in, Ephesto rolls out of the casita, Warrior accidentally feeds himself into the Ephesto Roll, one two three.

Match 5: Mr. Niebla, Último Guerrero ©, Volador Jr. vs Atlantis ©, Hijo del Fantasma, La Máscara
Arena Mexico, 10/04/2011

  2. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:32
Rating: OK
Notes: Entrances. Zach is with Niebla. I used to have a hat like Mr. Niebla is wearing here, just in black. I don't know what that has to do with anything, but I need to make this pointlessly longer. Fantasma opts to wait outside of the ring. Mascara too, except they're in the ring being attacked by UG next time we see them, so who knows. Mr. Niebla hides on the stage to attack Atlantis for a second straight week, but Atlantis is in such a hurry to get to the ring, Niebla almost doesn't get him. Volador stops Atlantis to yell at him, and Niebla gets in the slap there. Ref is Pompin. Volador is wearing a shirt of him in his Green Lantern outfit. Would seem easier just to ear the outfit.

1: Rudos all go after Atlantis mask. Mascara is sent out, comes back in, and Volador superkicks him and backcracker him. No pin, attempt. Volador clothesline Fantasma in the corner so UG can get in his senton de la muerte. Getting in stuff pretty quick. Atlantis sidesteps the second set of corner charges, and dropkick Niebla out of their nig. Mascara armdrags Volador, and set up him and UG for the Phantom Lariat. No pin there either, though soon after with cradles by the young guys.

2: Showcases start with Fantasma. Volador gets in a good surprise superkick here, Fantasma forces in the ramp running bit in here before a loud enziguri. Niebla jumps I to take his short, Atlantis runs in after him, Niebla takes the apron back bump that must killed very time and begs off while crawling away. Mascara and UG have a cheer off before a headscissors. Mascara and Zach do their usual bit. Even Zach has to no sell a beating to jump and take another spot. Crowd is loud for Volador. Máscara uses the stop sign to take of his own shirt, Volador does the same. Chop fight inside, chop fight outside – no, Volador was just fooling, kicking Mascara as he comes back in. Volador goes for congrats from teammates, comes back to be swing kicked. Headscissors out, Máscara chases him out for a quebradora. Atlantis and Niebla is Niebla being slapped around to boos. Niebla gets in one slap and wastes no time getting in the dance. Spit is caught, fans are appalled. Whip, reversed, Atlantis leapfrog, and Niebla back into the monkey flip. Dropkick sends Niebla out, UG boot sends Atlantis out, Fantasma misses his dropkick, corner whip, move, UG takes the knee bump out, and Fantasma follows with a tope con giro. Mascara planchas Volador, whip, Mascara puts his head down too soon, Volador loads him up in an inverted Gori stretch, Mascara reverses to one of his own, they go off in the corner to distract Pompin. In the meantime, Niebla tries to foul kick Atlantis, Atlantis blocks and pulls Niebla's mask, cradle one two three.

Rudo fans are very unhappy.
