Match 1: Fuego ©, Metal Blanco, Palacio Negro vs Misterioso Jr., Shigeo Okumura, Yoshihashi
Arena Mexico, 09/06/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:53
Rating: good
Notes: Ref is Pompin.

1: Fuego/Yoshihashi start. Yoshihashi seems to be keeping his hair shorter that before mat wrestling goes well until a Yoshihashi cradle takes them into the ropes, then Yoshihashi slows it way down with a chinlock. Fuego picks it back up with his own hold and zero count trips. Misterioso sells Palacio's questionable slap as if it was lethal, Yoshihashi brings back the handwalk spinning headscissors, and Misterioso is out after that. Blanca has a swinging over the ropes 619 variation when in with Okumura. Okumura pulls Blanco out, Misterio comes in, Fuego pulls him out, Yoshihashi comes in, Fuego misses the grab and Yoshihashi runs over Blanco with a big tope. Palacio planchas Misterioso, back in the ring, but Okumura pulls the técnico down from the apron. Fuego runs right into the Gori Special, Okumura adding a missile dropkick. That's it for him. Fuego is the captain, so that's it for the fall.

2: Rudos in charge. Flapjack and some stomping for Blanco. Face powerbomb/bulldog combo for Palacio, and Misterioso and Yoshihashi pull out a double inverted DVD. Nice running flipping DDT by Yoshihashi. He has moves, now. He still is talking to the ref a lot. Triple boot for Blanco. Fuego turns the tide with a boost dropkick on Okumura. Misterio boots Fuego, Blanca gets Misterioso with a 'rana, Yoshihashi misses the senton, Blanco tope con giros Misterioso, running over acrobatically but also past him. Palacio and Yoshihashi get completely lost in their sequence, but eventually Palacio just scoops him up and drops him with a sort of Air Raid Crash. (Pompin tries to count the pin here, because Palacio is trying to stay out of everyone else's way, but he's not done.) Fuego cuts off Misterioso with a springboard plancha, springboard backflips thru him, drops Misterioso with a legs tied russian legsweep, then flips him over for a submission. Meanwhile, Metal Blanco and Palacio Negro have done a top rope splash/legdrop from the same corner on poor Yoshihashi. Rudos are done.

3: No hurry to get started. Palacio does a roll to the ramp, dropkicks Okumura thru the ropes, springboard dropkicks him, out of the ring, stabs him with a heel kick, and nearly faceplants on a rope flip moonsault to the outside. He got no distance, but gets his hands down to shove off the apron. Fuego shows off with Misterioso, including the back bridge and dance (which is less dancey this week.) Fireman's carry escape armdrag sends Misterioso out, and Fuego follows with a tope. Metal Blanco quickly headscissors Yoshihashi out, Metal Blanco hops to the outside of the second rope, pauses, then does the Asia moonsault. Odd. Palacio and Okumura back in, Okumura a tosses Palacio and blatantly fouls him. That's an easy DQ.

Match 2: Princesa Blanca vs Marcela for the Mexican National Women's Championship
Arena Mexico, 09/06/2011

  1. Blanca sunset flip (4:18)

  2. Marcela tapatía (3:08)
  3. Blanca neckbreaker spin (7:43)

Winner: Princesa Blanca (2-1)
Match Time: 15:09
Rating: very good
Notes: Ref is Bestia Negra. Rambo is the commissioner. Lluvia is Marcela's second; Blanca's second is Mima Shimoda, who I have a hard time recognizing for some reason. Maybe she changed her hair? Nice that they got women to be seconds instead of just grabbing undercarders.

1: Announcers say Marcela is a dangerous challenger. Amapola may disagree. After some circling, Blanca takes Marcela down by a leg and adds a jumping elbow drop. Rolling on the mat nets no advantage. Second lockup, and Marcela ends up with a half crab, then switches around to other holds of lesser value. Marcel escapes to a behind the back double armbar, which doesn’t last long, and they're back to exchanging holds on the ground. Match speeds up-, and Marcela sends out Blanca with a push off headscissors. Blanca tries to climb back in, but Marcela blows her up with a dropkick, then just makes it over the ropes on a pescado - she sort of kicked off the ropes on the way over, nicely. Marcela back in off, the ropes, up to Blanca's shoulders, and own for a sunset flip one two NO. Blanca clothesline caught to be turned into the double underhook backbreaker, but Blanca escapes, but Marcela drops her with an elbow smash anyway. Marcela going for a bridging pin, but Blanca blocks it into a sunset flip one two three! Outsmarted her there.

2: Marcela quickly dropkicks Blanca. Off the ropes, clothesline misses, and Blanca stomps her into the mat. Marcela thrown in the ropes, bounces back, and Blanca kicks her down. Back to the half crab, with an armbar. Blanca rolls onto her back and puts a foot in Marcela's back, but still no submission. Marcela's arms cranked around the ropes. Hard chop to the back. Mima is enjoying this. Corner whip, Marcela walks up to the middle rope and fires back with a missile dropkick. Marcela up top – flying headscissors sends Blanca to the ropes. She pounds the mat, gets up, charges, clothesline caught into the double underhook backbreaker, which works this time. Marcela not done. To the apron, point, top rope, double stomp – oh, no one home, and Blanca takes her out with a clothesline. One two NO. That would've been a reasonable finish, and we're only in the second fall. Blanca spanks Marcela. Off the ropes, Marcela caps her with a dropkick to the knee, tapatía set up – tapatía on! Blanca gives.

3: Dueling hair grabs turns into a chop fight. Blanca's charge misses, Marcela reverse rolling waistlock, one two NO. Marcela springboard plancha meets feet. Marcela tries to roll out, but Blanca traps her one two NO. I have no idea what Blanca's go to move is here, which may be important later. Blanca tosses Marcela by her hair, but Marcela turns the table and tosses her. Marcela up top, big missile dropkick. Blanca out, Marcela follows with a big top rope plancha. Replays. Marcela goes after Blanca on the floor, and tosses her back in. Blanca tries to ambush with a big boot, but Marcela blocks it and knocks Blanca back with a back first, quite nice. Top rope plancha, Blanca rolls thru one two NO. Blanca a bit frustrated. Marcela off the ropes, headscissors cradle, one two NO. Marcela slaps Blanca into the ropes, charge, and gets backdropped the apron. Marcela chop misses, Blanca trips her up, quickly bounces off the ropes, and slides Marcela to the floor via dropkick. Blanca double jump plancha connects. Replay. Mima helps Blanca up and walks her to the ring, which is technically illegal but they'll let it go. Marcela gets up to the apron by herself, but is caught with multiple side kicks on the way in. Whip, Blanca clothesline misses, swinging punch by Marcela is turned into a fujiwara! Marcela in a LOT of trouble, but squirming. Blanca cranking it in, and now Marcela's not moving much – oh, but she's got the ropes. Whip, Blanca sidewalk slam one two no. Blanca leaned deep into that pin, she's lucky she didn't get pulled back into a pin. Rowdy técnico fans have a Marcela banner, chant her name. Blanca misses a clothesline, Marcela waistlock, Blanca tries to back elbow free, spins around, and Marcela niftily northern lights suplexes her. One two NO. Marcela marches to the corner, pulls herself up top, facing out – and get slapped on the backside. Blanca plucks her off, Marcela waves in despair, sit down powerbomb, one two NO. Both are exhausted, but that gave the Marcela chants new life. Blanca is very frustrated. Marcela thrown into the corner. Slap to chest, set up top, Blanca climbs up to join her – and Marcela just hooks her right away! Top rope Michinoku Driver one two NO! Everyone, announcers included, though that as the finish. Marcela argues the count for the first time, then grabs Blanca again – Michinoku driver reverses into a cradle one two NO. Marcela still can't believe she didn't get at three. Marcela off the ropes into a kick – Blanca lifts Marcela up on her shoulders, neckbreaker spin drop, one two three!

Blanca is jubilant. Marcela is despondent and in tears. She lost, again! It is so sad.

1: Panther and Maya match evenly on the mat for a while, Panther picks it up, Maya is lucky to armdrag him away. Puma/Atlantis includes the kid climbing on Puma's back for a submission, but being bent back into a a nice bridging pin. Atlantis holds Puma in a double armbar for a while, then a double full nelson until Puma stomps his way free. Battling armbars leads to an Atlantis armdrag and Puma begging off. Atlantis is slow to back off, so this leads to everyone facing off for a moment. Puma's partners have to stop him from starting a riot, and Dragon lee and Delta shove to get started. Dragon Lee flipping run meets girlish cheers. Dragon gets Delta with a headscissors, Delta tries to roll out, can't find the way out, finally gets it, and Dragon Lee follows with a walk up the ropes tope con giro on the way out. Usual Dragon Lee, looking crazy out of control and sometimes able to make it work. Other four in, Maya gets Panther with a submission, and Panther makes Puma give up.

2: Vet start in, Atlantis taking out Panther with a headscissors and a quebradora con giro. Puma and Dragon Lee rush to Panther's aid, and his team starts the beatdown. Puma kills Atlantis with punches on the mat. Corner clotheslines for Atlantis. Panther rushes out and posts Maya. Delta chopped a bit, ripped up, kicked in the chest. Dragon Lee brings Maya in, Panther drops him over the corner, and boosts Dragon Lee into axhandle to the back. Puma drags Maya around by the mask. Superkick for Maya. Dragon Lee happy to pose like a rudo. Running powerbomb, Dragon Lee top rope elbow drop, everyone covers for three. Panther calls Dragon Lee over, has a word with him, and sends him to the apron. Panther bites Atlantis' boot between falls.

Dragon kicks him, Maya dropkicks Dragon Lee, Delta dropkicks Puma King, and Team Atlantis does some revenge brawling. Maya breaks Dragon lee with a big back suplex. Panther team all whipped into each other. Everyone's a bit confused on the next spot, but Maya and Puma figure out the other four are doing the star, and they're supposed to the 'rana in between them. Good that it's not the actual finish. Atlantis bodyscissors cradle on Panther, one two Puma breaks it up. Puma casita on Atlantis, delta breaks it up. Delta clothesline Puma as he gets up, Puma up again, clothesline misses, Delta powerslam one two Dragon Lee breaks it up. Whip, reversed, Delta tries a backdrop, Dragon Lee rolls over his back, kicks him down, standing shooting star press. Maya punches Dragon Lee good. Whip, reversed, Maya turns a clothesline into a reverse legsweep cradle, but panther breaks that up too. Atlantis in and hopping to face him. Panther shoulderblock, Atlantis unbudged and dropkicking Panther out. Atlantis runs – tope connects. Delta in with a plancha on Puma, Puma kicked into the ropes, Delta springboard guillotine double stomp. Some girls loudly chant for Volador near a microphone. Rudo chant comes in during replays.

2: Rudos still in control. Psicosis holds Rush in a catapult, and Olímpico adds a springboard rolling senton. Swinging gate bomb on Angel de Oro. Crowd is very happy with the way this one is going. Kick for Diamante, Volador double rotation headscissors to his feet to a front cracker.
