Match 1: Dalis la Caribeña & Marcela vs La Seductora & Princesa Blanca
Arena Mexico, 08/30/2011

  1. técnicas

  2. técnicas

Winner: técnicas
Match Time: 10:37
Rating: OK
Notes: Ref is, let's say, Bestia Negra.

1: initial Pairs are Marcela/Seductora (ruda keeping up but Marcela outclassing her totally) and Blanca/Dalis (Dalis's running up the corner plancha looks, headscissors sends Blanca out.) Marcela/Seductora 2 goes well until Seductora can't get up for the double underhook backbreaker. They get on the second try, but Seductora rolls out and Marcela has to grab her and pull her back in to set up the next posts. Dalis headscissors on Seductora, Blanca boot on her, Marcela plancha on Blanca, Seductora elbow drops her partner by mistake. Técnicos wrap up.

2: Blanca/Dalis chop fight turns to kicks, turns to Seductora tripping up Dalis as she runs the ropes, and that's the start of the beatdown. Rudas take turns doing moves, only working and kicking and stretching. Crowd gets very loud after Blanca spanks Marcela. Off a corner whip, Marcela kicks Seductora, then steps on her back to sunset flip Blanca. A bit slow , but new idea. Dalis manage to clothesline both of the rudas as part of the comeback, though it looked as much as they got her. Dalis has Blanca with a headscissors cradle, but Seductora makes the save. Seductora reverse a whip, and Marcela dropkick she partner. Seductora's apron tope con giro is short, almost way short enough, Seducotra barely escaping with her head. Blanca stops Marcela as he goes up and drops her with a sit down powerbomb, but Marcela kicks out at two. Blanca stomps her and heads up – again, facing out, when she can't possibly want to do that. Marcela throws her off the corner, flying double stomp one two three. Seductora is improbably counted out on her own dive, Dalis making it back in time. Straight falls clean.

Marcela makes belt motions, then makes the challenge on the microphone. Blanca answers back with a hair match challenge.

Match 2: Ángel Azteca Jr., Ángel de Plata, Starman vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Nitro, Skándalo
Arena Mexico, 08/30/2011

  1. técnicos

  2. rudos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos
Match Time: 13:56
Rating: OK
Notes: Ref is Tiger Hispano.

1: “STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARMAN!” Pairs are Nitro/Azteca, Skándalo/Plata, Arkangel/Starman. In a switch, Plata's the Angel who's wrestling in a shirt. Starman handles Arkangel well enough for long enough that Nitro comes in to help, and of course hat back fires. Plata lands an Asai moonsault on Nitro after he's accidentally dropkicked out. Starman has an elaborate build to a sunset flip pin.

2: More técnicos showcase for the Angels, including shrieking for Plata when he strips off shirt. Arkangel/Starman is again last, and is even for the 20 or so seconds it lasts before the rudos rush the técnicos. Starman is dropkicked low, then whipped into the Skándalo Driver for the fall.

3: Rudos still in charge. Plata takes an elbow drop from all at the same time. Arkangel dropkick Starman out and pescados him, which seems like a fun idea but leaves his partners alone in the ring, and the Angels team up to take them out. Skandalo's stuck in the ropes so Plata can do the Skándalo stomping corner dropkick. Plata's corner whip charge almost gets turned into another Skándalo Driver, but Plata rolls thru to a sunset flip, holds it for a sec, then turns it over, and hooks on the inverted campana.

Nitro misses a clothesline on Plata, but flapjacks him on the next pass. Oklahoma roll, one two three.

Azteca dropkick Nitro out and follows with a tope, so they're out of action. Starman and Arkangel back, Arkangel fights Starman off from the apron, climbs up, and takes a super armdrag. Starman covers for two. Starman Toyota roll one two three.

Match 3: Dragon Lee, Puma King, Shocker vs Rey Cometa, Rey Escorpion, Último Guerrero in a relevos increíbles match
Arena Mexico, 08/30/2011

  1. Team Ultimo Guerrero

  2. Team Shocker
  3. Team Shocker

Winner: Team Shocker
Match Time: 14:04
Rating: good
Notes: Randomness! Ref is Terror Chino.

1: After some sorting, Ultimo Guerrero starts with Dragon Lee. What a weird matchup. UG gets spun by Dragon Lee's grouded headscissors, then easily turns a punch into a long armbar. Ultimo Guerrero not afraid of pulling Dragon Lee' mask tail tog et out of a hold. Escorpion rushes into get in a cheap shot, and Shocker runs across the ring and chases Escorpion up the ramp. More Dragon Lee/UG mat work, or, UG carrying Lee thru spots and Dragon Lee getting in an armdrag. Dragon Lee chases UG into the front row. Shocker can't stop getting off the apron and looking for someone to fight. He and Cometa almost get into it. Everyone ends up back in the other corner, and Cometa and Puma start, though Cometa throws a kick at Shocker for good measure. These two are evenly matched. Puma's standoff shove is met with a hard slap (missed but definitely heard.) Puma gathers himself, set up, and superkicks Cometa out of the ring. Escorpion comes into confront him, but Puma tags Shocker in instead. Chop fight is won by Escorpion by ducking out of one. Whip, reversed, Shocker rushes into a hiptoss. Escorpion adds a dropkick and elbow drops Shocker nicely. Shocker chopped into his corner, and Escorpion manages to wipe out Cometa and Puma while he's at it. Corner whip reveres, Escorpion boots Shocker, Shocker rolls thru, and Puma comes in with a springboard splash. Things break down from here – Escorpion whips Puma into a headscissors on his partner by mistake, Escorpion accidentally chops Cometa, Dragon Lee springboard dropkicks them both and tope con giros UG – only UG catches him cleanly (and rather easily) and rams him back first into the post. Crowd approves. Team Guerrero finishes things in the ring.

2: Team Guerrero, clearly the rudos, remain in control. Senton de la muerte on Puma King. Escorpion doesn't isn't budged by a Dragon lee slap, punching him the face in response. Cometa does the flying sit (though somehow without doing an extra spin somewhere.) Puma surprisingly start the comeback, flipping Guerrero the apron (where Shocker pulls him off, hard), evading Cometa's dropkick and superkicking Escorpion. Pum-a flips to the apron, and Dragon Lee springboards in with a headscissors on Escorpion. Puma King springboard frontcracker on Cometa to finish him, Dragon Lee with the ADR special to take care of Escorpion.

3: Dragon Lee and Rey Escorpion blow something beyond recognition, but Dragon Lee just armdrags Escorpion out and poses. Cometa destroys him with a dropkick. Puma scares Cometa off for a second, but Cometa pulls down his straps and is ready to go. Chop fight – well, Puma getting hit, and Shocker firing him up. Double chop knocks Cometa down. Whip, Cometa flipping run, Puma clothesline misses, Cometa clothesline misses, Puma kick to the midsection, kick to the head, superkick! Nice combo. Puma has a big red mark on his chest from those Cometa chops, and UG adds to it with a surprise clothesline. UG tells Shocker to stay out. Whip, reversed, Puma slides out and trips UG on the way, back in for a dropkick, except UG is up and dropkickng him. UG gives Shocker another look, and Shocker tries to come in but is ejected by the ref. Corner whip, UG runs into a kick, Puma runs up the ropes, slips, climbs up – and comes off with a springboard headscissors. Puma goes for a dive, but UG's moved around the corner already. Shocker in, eager for his turn. Escorpion is not as eager. UG offers to take his spot, shaking his protégé’s hand and sending him out. Shocker's straps down, and UG knocks him down with one hard chop. Shocker back up, Shocker back down. Shocker ducks, jabs to the midsection, slap back. Corner whip, reversed, UG charges in, Shocker ducks down, knee bum pout. Shoulder teases a dive, but Cometa cuts him off. Big boot caught, and spun in into Escorpion to knock him down. Stunner on Cometa. Escorpion kicks down Shocker. Puma planchas boot, but, he's caught and tosses behind. Dragon Lee springboards in, Rudos move, boot dropkick connects on Cometa only. Puma kicks Escorpion down, then lands a sort of running slingshot on Cometa. Looks like he couldn't decide what he wanted to do there. Dragon Lee gets Escorpion with a spinning DDT, then follows him out with a springboard Shooting Star press. That was crazy. Captains back in, Shocker reinera, that's it.

Match 4: Ángel de Oro, Rush, Super Porky vs Olímpico, Psicosis, Volador Jr.
Arena Mexico, 08/30/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:50
Rating: OK
Notes: Ref is Bestia Negra.

1: Bald Volador quickly tries of Super Porky's fake handshake, chops him around, and manages to knock him over with a shoulderblock. Porky must be feeling good. Volador runs next into an armdrag, but ducks a Porky clothesline, superkick him, and drops him with the backcracker. Rudos stomp Porky as they start the beatdown, so no pin. Triple bomb for Rush, and picked up for another one. No pin there. Oro takes the swinging gate bomb. Two man suplex on Porky, and Olímpico adds a springboard splash for the pin.

2: Rudos still in control. Triple boot for Rush. Porky kicked off the apron safely. Angel de Oro ducks a double clothesline and tries a handspring, but Volador and Psicosis just shove him away and kick him down. It does buy time for a Rush missile dropkick of questionable quality. Porky gets Olímpico with a belly bump, Oro does his dive onto Psicosis, and Rush topes Psicosis. Olímpico tries suplexing Porky on his own, that fails, and Porky cradles him for three.

3: Rush shrugs off Psicosis' chops and dropkicks him. RUUUUUU. Rush slaps Psicosis around, whip leads to evasion leads to Rush superkicking Psicosis into the corner. Corner whip the other way, Rush lands the jumping knee, and rolls back into a pose. RUUUU. Angel de Oro and Volador have dueling flipping ping runs. Oro superkicks Volador, Volador does the multiple kips up out, Oro headscissors him out, and chases Volador to the front row. Volador is very comfortable in the front row. Porky quickly takes care of Olímpico, and follows with an apron plancha. Other four all in quickly, rudos quickly turn it their way. They miss Psicosis' finish, and Volador/Angel de Oro are still working out the kinks on the Sombra Killer.

Psicosis' finish looks screwed up in the replay, better they stuck with the other.

Match 5: Rey Bucanero vs Felino
Arena Mexico, 08/30/2011

  1. Felino inverted figure four (1:58)

  2. Rey Bucanero powerbomb (0:58)
  3. DQ Felino [low blow] (6:24)

Winner: Rey Bucanero
Match Time: 9:20
Rating: OK
Notes: Felino brings a damaged and hallow orange traffic barrel with him to the ring. Rather see Zacarias. Felino must throw it out of the ring as he comes in, because Rey Bucanero sneaks in thru the crowd, grabs the barrel, tosses it back in, and smacks Felino in the back of the head. That would seem to be a DQ, but I guess the match hasn’t started yet. Ref is Tiger Hispano.

1: Rey throws Felino around, out of the ring and up the ramp. Pucnhes and kicks from top. Bucanero stops to pose, and Felino tries to take him down, but Rey stops him and pounds him more. Bucanero gets in the taunt while we see the matchup graphic. Felino thrown back in, clotheslined down. Off the ropes, forearm Felino’s face. Running kick, running clothesline, Felino getting up just in time to get knocked down. Whip, reversed, Rey runs past Felino a couple times, Felino clothesline, quick dropkick to the chest. Felino hooks on the inverted figure four, and that’s it already. Felino has more support from the crowd, including a chant, but there still are rudo fans booing him.

2: Felino beats Rey Bucanero into the front row, angering someone guy in a suit who's supposed to be sitting there. Felino goes in the ring at the whistle. Bucanero in no hurry to join, then misses a dropkick. Bucanero’s shirt is ripped up, and Felino chops him a few times. Whip, Felino back with a back elbow. Felino spinning armdrag sends Bucanero to the rope, though not so smoothly. Felino 'rana, Bucanero reverses into a powerbomb one two three. UG style falls, I see.

3: Rey Bucanero pretends to let Felino aback in the crying, then tries to crotch him on the ropes. Felino eludes that, but still is clotheslined. Bucanero mocks the Felino chants. Felino quickly gets to his knees, but Bucanero kicks him in the chest. Bucanero suffocates Felino in the corner. Corner whip, Bucanero charges in to land a clothesline, then charges the other way for a clothesline, then out with a bulldog. Cover one two NO. Bucanero clothesline misses, Felino lands a dropkick to the knee, and sends Bucanero out via sliding dropkick. Felino hurrying – corner springboard tope con giro hits but is not caught much. Replays. That could not have felt good. Both are slow back in. Felino is standing first, and kicking Bucanero in the chest repeatedly. Snap mare, off the ropes, kick to the head. Felino goes for the leg hold again, but Bucanero reverses to a small package one two NO. Crowd isn’t in this as much as I'd thinking right now. Felino slaps Bucanero and looks around. Snap mare, out to the apron, Felino climbs up, Bucanero slaps him in the chest multiple times, superplex – off the top rope superplex, Bucanero almost falling off the ropes in the process. One two NO. Felino sneaks Bucanero into a cradle, Bucanero slides out at one and tries for a crossface. He's got it on, but Felino's not giving and the director doesn't think it's much by the way he's avoiding showing it. Felino tries to roll free, but Bucanero hangs on. Felino stands up while the chinlock is still on, escapes that, flips Bucanero over his hip, and puts on a seated armbar. Bucanero slides free. Felino picks him up, whip, quick reversed, Tormento Bucanero one two NO. Announcers way into this. Scoop slam. Bucanero up top, rolling senton comes up empty, Felino covers one two NO. Felino punches Bucanero, goes up to the middle rope, elbow drop connects! One two NO. crowd really not into the near falls to be honest, but it seems good. Casita, Bucanero shoves Felino off. Casita by Bucanero, Felino rolls free, Bucanero tries again, casita on this time one two NO. Bucanero goes for another casita, gets in on again, one two NO. Both up, Felino fouls Bucanero. No question about that kick, Tiger Hispano immediately raises Bucanero's hand

Felino challenges for Bucanero's title. Bucanero says Felino did not beat him, so not title shot. Bucanero wants hair vs hair instead. Bucanero walks off with the microphone. Replays, and Bucanero is still in a lot of pain from the foul on the outside.
