Match 1: Hijo del Fantasma vs Misterioso Jr. in a lightning match
Arena Mexico, 08/26/2011

Winner: Hijo del Fantasma
Match Time: 8:17
Rating: not good
Notes: Fantasma is wearing white on white. Misterioso is all viking-ed out. Ref is Terror Chino.

Fantasma runs into a Misterioso shoulderblock to start. Whip, clothesline misses, Fantasma appear, Misterioso taking a big bump off it. One two no. Circle. Lockup, Misterioso tosses Fantasma down, Fantasma gets an armdrag from the mat. Another exchange, another armdrag from the mat, then a headscissors. Zero trips are a bit slow, and Misterioso doesn't stand for the standup. No need. Misterioso misses a clothesline, Fantasma headscissors him out, tope. Fantasma lands on his feet before Misterioso actually falls down, Misterioso's feet just going out from underneath him. Replays. Sparse looking crowd. Fantasma starts to climb in, Misterioso pulls him back, Fantasma tries to pull him back and Misterio elbows him. Fantasma charges, Misterioso tosses him to the apron, Fantasma goes for an Asai and gets clipped by the rudo. Misterioso in, Fantasma on the apron. Rudo land a shoulder to the midsection and grabs Fantasma by the neck. Suplex off the bottom roe – no, Fantasma slides behind and gives him a backcracker. One two NO. Fantasma off the ropes, running by Misterioso, but still grabbed from behind – sort of a reverse slam powerslam, one two NO. Misterioso slaps Fantasma in the ropes. Whip, Fantasma slides out, Misterioso slides out, Fantasma back in and landing a tope con giro. This is a bunch of random spots occurring in a near random sequence. Fantasma throws Misterioso back in, this him in the gut, sunset flip in, Misterioso reverses and grabs the middle rope, one two NO. I think it's Fantasma's turn. Misterioso slaps Fantasma in the corner, tries to start his own otro chant, corner whip, corner charge, Misterioso hits the post on the way up. Fantasma calmly and unemotionally goes up, moonsault to the floor. Doesn’t appear to be well caught, Fantasma's face maybe hitting the floor. Both recover on the outside for a bit. Replay is from a very close angle and it's tough to tell what happened. Fantasma runs up the ramp – Phantom clothesline connects. One two thr-NO. No? No. Replay. Inverted Death Valley Driver. Misterioso misses a dropkick. Crowd clip here? Fantasma slingshot rolls the apron, takes off his shirt, swing kicks Misterioso, and goes for his move again. Geeze. Misterio ducks down this time, tosses him in the face, and takes him out with a buzzsaw kick. Gori Special, Fantasma turns into a sunset flip, one two three.

Match 2: Héctor Garza, La Sombra ©, Shocker vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible ©, Texano
Arena Mexico, 08/26/2011

  1. TRT

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:37
Rating: more an angle
Notes: TRT enter as a group, wearing Electroshock masks. (Well, not quite.) Teams start brawling before the introductions. Tirantes is ref.

1: Brawling beatdown to start. Odd crucifix pin setup/kick to the midsection combo on Garza. Catapult hold/assisted legdrop is a bit more usual. Triple boot for Garza. Corner rolling forearm for Sombra, fireman's side drop, and Bucanero top rope splash to finish. He's captain, but they keep going to beat up Shocker. Rudos are listed “TRT” and not rudos in the graphic.

Trivia Contest winner is shown.

CMLL Cartela: Ultimo Guerrero hypes Monday in Puebla.

2: Rudos still in control and in no hurry. Sombra holds Shocker on a whip, Texano misses the charge, and Garza kicks him from the apron. Sombra flatten the other two with a plancha, but they scatter before a boost dropkick and mange to clear the ring of both Shocker and Sombra. Garza in, but cornered. Superbomb takes longer than usual to set up, and Garza turns it into a 'rana on Terrible. Cover while Shocker and Sombra hold back the other two, one two three. Garza argues, even though that was a fair count. Other técnicos brawl with other rudos.

Did I miss stellar moments?

3: Triple backbreaker/elbow driver for Sombra, who comes right back with a headscissors. Texano dropkicks Sombra down, and he and Terrible strip Sombra of his shirt so they can chop him unimpeded. Sombra headscissors Terrible out after a corner whip, Texano takes the knee bump out, and Sombra front flips from the apron into a headscissors. Still crazy. Garza and Rey Bucanero exchange kicks and avoidance before Garza starts putting up the stop sign to strip. Texano and Terrible don't put up with it and stomp down him down. Three way chop fight – this is a lot like last week's match. Garza pulls down Terrible by his hair, headscissors Texano out, evades a Terrible charge, and chases Tirantes around. Shocker gives Texano a giant armdrag, and feeds Texano into a Sombra springboard headscissors. Rey slid out by his chest, but the rudos pull out Shocker before he can dive. May be saving himself there. Texano is kicked coming back in, but Sombra's springboard corner dive meets a Texano punch on the way down. Garza and Bucanero left in, Garza moonsault, Bucanero dropkick him in the side, and pins him with his feet in the ropes all in the ropes, one two three. Well.

Shocker argues with Tirantes and keeps fighting. Sombra's not the captain. Slaps for everyone, kick for Bucanero, Rey catches it, and all three rudos foul kick Shocker at the same time. Eh. That's a DQ.

Garza challenges Bucanero to a hair match. Bucanero says he's part of a trio and doesn't fight alone, so no one on one match. He asks the crowd if they want to see the match – they do, but he doesn't.
