CMLL on Televisa #1032 (06/11/2011)
Recapped: 06/11/2011

On Saturday in the US. I dunno.

They work in an additional break by sticking it during the introduction, in the middle of Magadan hyping the show.

Averno is with the announcers, who hold the three masks he's won and his Rencor Latino mask. This is part of show long heavy promotion for Juicio Final.

Tania talks to Astral about the next match.

Match 1: Astral vs Pequeño Nitro in a lightning match
Arena Mexico, 06/03/2011

Winner: Astral
Match Time: 8:38
Rating: not good
Notes: Entrances! They have time to fill if Astral's entrance gets shown. Nitro dances with his sword a lot. Terror Chino is ref. Opener starts 22 minutes past the hour (some of that on Copa Oro coverage, but still.)

Averno is with the announcers, but they don't turn up his microphone to start. That's a problem. Nitro handles Astral pretty easily off the whistle, but Astral flips him over his hip and armdrags him towards the ropes. Nitro slaps Astral in the chest, poses and gets slapped in the back. Astral off the ropes, under, running front flip, hand sweep, backflip over Nitro for no reason. Astral poses, off the ropes, springboard into a casadora into an armdrag. Dropkick sends Nitro out. Astral spots him, backs up, charges, and throws himself over for a stiff tope con giro. He was really pulled in tight on that dive. Replays. No one in a hurry to get back in. Both in, Astral with some more running avoidance and a flipping run. Nitro flips himself off a missed clothesline, then flips Astral to the apron. Astral in, rolling over Nitro's back for an armdrag. Astral just stands there, and Nitro dropkicks him. There is no sense in this match. Slap to the back by Nitro. Corner whip, reversal, Nitro moves, Astral misses a dropkick but ends up standing on the apron anyway. Nitro gets in the chop, sweeps out Astral's leg, and dropkicks him to the floor. Nitro very happy with himself. Astral down on the floor for a bit, giving Nitro plenty of time to celebrate, then go to the corner and climb out, and still wait to do a plancha to the floor. Replays. Nitro in first, but missing a running boot and getting slapped down in front of the ropes. Astral does another front flip for no reason, this one off a springboard. Nitro mostly missed a dropkick out Astral does down anyway. Slap. Nitro yells at poses. Astral set in the corner, but Nitro in no hurry. Astral out, ducking under a slap to land a weak one of his own. Crowd not digging this. Discussion. Corner whip, reversed, Astral backflips off the top rope, Nitro should've been able to see that but throws himself into the corner and out anyway. Astral runs up the ropes, steps on the post, and tornillo to the floor. One spin on that. Replay. No one in hurry to resume. They get in on opposite sides. As Nitro goes for an armdrag, Astral pulls him into a leg pick, into a inverted Indian deathlock. Nitro in a lot of trouble, spinning around, pounding the mat in pain, but grabbing the bottom rope to break Nitro clothesline blocked, Astral scoops Nitro up and fireman's drops him near the ropes. Rope flip moonsaults kind of sorta gets boots, but not really. Nitro leans back to cover, one two no. This match is sloppy. Nitro in no hurry. Corner whip, Astral gets his feet up, Nitro catches it, spins him in the ropes, and drops him with a backcracker. Nitro pulls Astral one way, then flips him over and puts on a half crab. Astral is right next to the ropes, and easily grabs the bottom to break. Nitro in no hurry to follow up, just walking around. Dropkick. Whip, reversed, evasion, spinning armdrag by Astral is not so smooth, submission on, that's the match.

CMLL Informa: Sunday's show. Ultimo Guerrero vs Rush

the return of CMLL Cartelera has Rush promoting Sunday's show.

Tania talks to La Comandante and Estrellita. They believe they're going to win. Hooray.

Match 2: Dalys la Caribeña, Lluvia, Marcela © vs Amapola ©, Estrellita, La Comandante
Arena Mexico, 06/03/2011

  1. tecnicas

  2. rudas
  3. rudas

Winner: rudas (2-1)
Match Time: 12:30
Rating: eh
Notes: Bestia Negra is ref. No entrances. Whistle blows four times for the start, which seems a bit much.

1: Estrellita and Marcela start, with Estrellita taking the worse of it and making pained faces. Estrellita rallies back to throw Marcela by her hair, but is in the wrong place at the wrong time and gets clotheslined in her throat by the tecnica. That did not look fun. Marcela gives her an off the shoulder stomach buster too. Dalis dances, is dropkicked by Amapola. Chop battle turns to kicks. Dalis whip, Amapola gets in a knee and throws her down by her hair. Amapola gets into an argument about it. Corner whip, quick reverse, ans and Dalis shoves Amapola down. Crowd boos. Dalis charges, Amapola waves her by in the corner, Dalis carefully climbs up and comes back for the plancha. Dalis off the ropes, armdrag spot goes totally wrong, Amapola just stomps on Dalis as she lays on the mat. Whip, headscissors – oh, was that what it was supposed to be last time? Didn't look close. Dalis cartwheels and dances in the ring. Amapola tells the camera man to back off. Lluvia tries to get in chop war with Comandante. That does not go well. Comandante tosses Lluvia down on her front side and celebrates. Corner clothesline. Lluvia sneaks out before taking another, and gets in a corner headscissors. Lluvia off the ropes, plancha, Comandante catches her off the ropes, splash, but no one's home. Lluvia, off the ropes, spinning headscissors sends the ruda out. Amapola in, spear on Lluvia! Marcela helps her team up while Dalis dropkick Amapola out. Marcela holds Lluvia's hands to climb the ropes, but she still struggles with it. Top rope plancha connects on Amapola. Dalis takes down Estrellita, and puts on a sharpshooter to finish her, and Marcel cradles Comandante for the other finish.

CMLL Informa: Virus wins the title that's mentioned as the lightweight title here.

Carterela: GDL shows start a new hour (6:30pm), with Angel de Oro.

2: Amapola and Marcela quickly sets up a loud Marcela double underhook backbreaker, and a middle rope dropkick to end the champ out. Marcela headscissors and springboard headscissors Comandante out. Estrellita and Dalis exchange slaps and screams. Comandante gets in the cheap kick from the outside to start the beatdown. Estrellita and Comandante get it together enough to set Dalis dangling from the top rope for an Amapola missile dropkick. Giant swing for Marcela. Lluvia is held and dropkicked out. Dalis and Marcela in at the same time, so we must be about done. Comandante submits Marcela, and Amapola submission is familiar but I can't place it's name. It's in the nudo family, for sure.

CMLL Informa: Hijo del Fantasma advanced to the NWA LH final.

Cartelera: Rey Escorpion hypes Puebla's card.

3: Averno is cutting a promo on La Mascara, hyping the rudas and antagonizing Dr. Morales at the same time. Rudas still in control. Dalis takes a flying axhandle to the midsection. Lluvia takes Amapola's running sit. Marcela is squashed in the corner by Comandante. Dalis and Lluvia whipped in the same corner, but they dodge and trap Estrellita when she charges. Comandante charges in, this her partner, and gets confused by Dalis roll up. Meanwhile, Lluvia back elbows Amapola and stomps her out of the ring. Marcela rolls up Comandante, gets a count of zero (?), Comandante goes out, and Marcela lands a plancha. Dalis tosses Lluvia for a dropkick on Amapola, Lluvia is supposed to come up short but just short of takes down Amapola with her. Amapola gets up, sort of puts the motocicleta on, and gets the submission. Estrellita has already pinned Dalis with a backslide, though she may have pinned herself too. Dr. Morales gets on Magadan for calling the ring announcer “Bestia Salvaje.”

La Mascara family pride vignette.

Cartelera: Atlantis talks about Tuesday's Arena Mexico.

Steller Moments

Llave: Tigre Blanco monkey flipped into a sunset flip on Disturbio

Lance: Amapola sliding dropkick to Goya's face, and then a hard thru the ropes tope con giro. That's where Goya came up hurt.

Rudo: Olímpico getting Hijo del Fantasma with the cristo invertido

Espectacular: Angel de Oro cartwheel moonsault.

New Averno vignette – Averno (unmasked, back to the screen) saying a unholy prayer to an altar of masks he's won and mask's he's worn. La Mascara's mask in included, a bit early. Red light, check. Portable flames, check. Dramatic music, check. On screen listing of the match date, check!

Match 3: Shinsuke Nakamura, Terrible ©, Texano vs La Máscara, La Sombra ©, Strong Man
Arena Mexico, 06/03/2011

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:31
Rating: good
Notes: La Mascara gets last entrance. His entrance video seems redone. Máscara tries to go have a word with Averno, but there's both a phalanx of security to cut him off and also Terrible & Texano to attack him from behind. Ref is Tirantes. Monito is with the técnicos.

1: Beatdown. Rudos hold Strong Man in the corner for Texano's low blow dropkick. La Mascara comes in and sneaks in a dropkick, but Terrible puts a stop to that. Terrible tosses Mascara off his shoulders into a Nakamura kneelift, and Texan picks up the pin. Sombra is whipped around and dropped with the two man pump powerbomb for the fall. Replays.

Averno takes credit for Terrible & Texano's success. Mascara is beat up in front of the announcers, but struggles back towards the fight.

CMLL Informa: Big surprises for the June 19th show. For Father's Day, fathers will get to take photos with their favorite CMLL luchadoras.

Break.

Cartelera segment – for Tuesday's show in GDL. Lluvia and Amapola are mentioned, but their title match isn't.

Mascara talks about this being the biggest match of his life, over footage of him working out in the ring. Various Brazo show up to root him on. He's using his a half Brazo de Oro Jr./half La Mascara mask and (hilariously) wearing a NJPW shirt. If I were him, I would've burned anything associated from that tour in a giant bonfire the moment I got home, but he's handling it better.

2: Rudos still in control. Doble T double suplex Strong Man. Rudos grab Monito and the crowd goes crazy. Texano directs Nakamura to be on técnico crowd control as the rudos try the giant swing and dropkick spot – only for Texano to miss the dropkick. He makes up for it with a giant legdrop! Poor Monito. La Máscara carries him to safety. Rudos beat up on Sombra. Sombra is crotched coming in. That appears to be the only way they can stop him. Monito is stretchered him out. Averno is satisfied with that. Corner charges on Strong Man. Mascara whipped in after him, Strong Man flips him to safety. Sombra whipped in, Strong Man flips him too. Strong Man charges Doble T with a double clothesline, they duck, Strong man squashes Nakamura in the corner, Mascara gets Terrible with a flying clothesline Texano boots him, and takes a springboard headscissors from Sombra. Máscara tope on terrible, Sombra top rope moonsault on Texano. As Sombra lands and bounces in to the front row, they blur the fans out. No idea why, but a woman did appear to be adjusting their top when they cleared up the screen. Nakamura kick is caught, enziguri on Strong Man looks odd, Nakamura of the ropes again, into a chokeslam. Strong Man poses, covers one two three.

La Mascara stares and points at Averno while Averno brushes him off on commentary. The same exact shot is used for the replay of Sombra's dive, and it's not blurred this time. It doesn’t go as long, but we didn't see anything untoward. How odd.

Break – this one obviously added by or for Galavision.

CMLL Informa: Jucio Final is Friday.

3: La Mascara/Terrible chop fight leads to Mascara taking off his shirt. Terrible comes in to help, though most of his help is taunting the other two técnicos. Mascara fighting back to kick and armdrag them away, Nakamura comes in, Nakamura take as double chop and gets kicked out by his partners. Máscara tossed into a headscissors on Terrible, Texano kicks him, Texano charges into a flip to the apron. Máscara slaps is blocked, Texano lands one of his own and celebrates, and Máscara swing kicks him off. Nakamura in and having communication problems with Mascara. They get it settled for Máscara to land a superkick. Nakamura slowly collapses, gets up again, and is superkicked into the corner. Nakamura slowly rolls to the apron, though he and Terrible have a discussion there. Máscara decides to try and get Averno again, but the security is blocking the path. Averno is very happy that La Mascara can't get to him, and tells him to go back to the ring. Nakamura and Sombra in, and feeling each other out. Nakamura teases a lockup and instead sneaks in a kick to the back of Sombra's near leg. Side kick to the chest. Sombra is down and hurting. Nakamura leisurely strolls around. Sombra up, and taking kicks to the midsection. Sombra blocks one and comes back with a forearm to the face. Shot off, over, back with a Strong shoulderblock. Sombra rips off his shirt. Waiting for Nakamura to get up. Off the ropes, stepping over, picking Nakamura up and whipping him, quick reverse, Nakamura's knee, high kick misses, but swinging kick from the other leg connects. I don't think the crowd knows what to make of Nakamura. Nakamura up in the corner, charging, Bom-Ye kneelift misses, hitting the corner. Sombra flips himself to the apron, almost slips on the top rope, but still lands the springboard dropkick. Texano jumps in and dropkicks Sombra, with Texano coming into help stomp. Long crowd shot here, but Sombra's still down when they get back to the ring. Whip, Sombra ducks a double clothesline, Texano grabs him, Terrible swings, and Terrible slaps his partner. Sombra uses Texano to set up a headscissors on Terrible, and moves out of the way to allow Texano to throws himself out. Sombra runs – front flip to the apron into a headscissors on Texano! That was crazy. Sombra celebrates. Strong Man Nakamura in, face to face. Nakamura kicks is blocked, painfully. Strongman knocks him into the corner an chops him hard. Mascara tells him to do another. Another chop, and Nakamura may be dying. A third – no, Nakamura duck under. Forearm to the face is shrugged off. Another, and Nakamura is just being back across the ring. A third, and now Strongman is angry. Nakamura set on the op rope and tossed off. Texano in, kicking Strongman in the leg and putting on waistlock. Strongman forces him down, Terrible another wristlock, they both lean Strongman back, but he powers up and shoves them down. Rudos ducks what to try now. Double clothesline does not work. Double shoulderblock gets them both knocked over. Kicks and chops stun Strongman. Suplex, blocked, blocked, Strongman gets free, double choke – no, rudos break free, so double hiptoss to get them. Strongman roars and pose. Rudos huddle on the outside. Texano in, Máscara dropkicks but misses. Texano shoulderblock, but Máscara yanks him down by the hair. Nakamura in and violently kicking Máscara down. Swinging kick misses, and Mascara gets him with an enziguri. Máscara corner charge, Nakamura lifts him on his shoulder and lays him over the corner, setting up a running knee to the midsection. Sombra in, springboard plancha in on Nakamura. Texano grabs Sombra, Nakamura accidentally dropkick his partner. Nakamura helps him up, and both get run over by a Strongman shoulderblock. Strongman tells Sombra to go – run up the ropes plancha on both men. Sombra stands them up, and Strongman bowls them over with a plancha. Captains left in. Terrible clothesline misses, Máscara casadora, shoved off in the corner, Terrible charges, Mascara moves and Terrible this chest first. Mascara flipped to the apron, Terrible kicked blocked , Máscara swinging kick is not. Top rope plancha, casadora into a campana! Averno rushes to the ring, slides in a vendor's drink holder - really just a cardboard box – grabs it as he comes, and smacks Máscara in the the head with it. Averno yells mascara, shoves Tirantes away. Tirantes tries to shove back but Averno shrugs him off. Terrible tries to cover, but Tirantes pulls him off and awards the match to La Mascara.

Doctor is in almost before the finish is called, Sombra shoves Terrible away. Averno continues to rant in the ring. Brazo de Oro is out and checking on his son. Replay of the box to the head. Averno and Brazo de Oro have an argument, which Averno wins by punching Brazo de Oro in the head and stomping him. Poor Strong Man, standing right there and not actually being allowed to do anything. Averno doesn't let La Máscara being stretched off unconscious stop him from hear what Averno has to say. Security carries Máscara away, but Averno rushes them and knocks Everyone down with his charge. More security has to grab Averno and drag him all the way down the ramp and out the other way.

Next week: Juicio Final!

Averno and the announcers wrap up.
