Match 1: Fuego, Stuka Jr., Valiente © vs Euforia, Misterioso II ©, Virus
Arena Mexico, 07/18/2010

  1. rudos

  2. técnicos
  3. técnicos

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 3:47
Rating: way too short to be much
Notes: Entrances No facts. How will I learn which ages they don't know? Monito is with Valiente. Euforia is wearing the dreaded black and white outfit. In an upset, Misterioso is not alerting us to his home futbol team. Referees are Edgar and I can't tell.

1: Joined in mid rudo beatdown. Fuego is immediately lifted up to Misterioso for the Rosa Driver. Most of the time so fart was spent on the lineup graphic, I think Fuego lasts five seconds after that. Stuka Jr. quickly takes the Euforica Special to end it. Not even a minute.

Julio Cesar taking about Chela Salazar's hair match last longer than Fuego did.

2: Rudos still in control, but I bet it won't last long. Sure enough first thing they do is whip Valiente to the corners, and Valiente springboards to evade Euforia’s charge, jumping into headscissors on Misterioso. While Virus slaps down Valiente, Fuego spins around the outside of the post into a headscissors on Euforia, which is at least crazy cool even if we're not getting much. Stuka catches Virus in a quebradora con giro, gets flipped to the apron by Misterioso, and gathers himself there as Misterioso charges into a Valiente’s fireman’s drop. Valiente immediately runs out to spear Virus with a tope – cameras mostly miss it – and Stuka splashes Misterioso for the pin. Just under a minute. Much better of Virus' dive on replay.

3: matched JIP again. Stuka rebound armdrag sends Euforia out, Virus clips him, and pulls him into a inverted Gori bomb. One two three. Holy crap. This is hysterical. Virus does a happy dance, turns into a Fuego missile dropkick. Euforia boots him sown, Valiente throws a punch and get caught by Euforia, Misterioso adds a dropkick, but it gets his partner. Valiente and Misterioso do their odd backdrop spot, which ends with Misterioso landing hard again. Valiente decides to put Monito on the top rope, help him walk the ropes (!) and has him splash Misterioso. That finished, Valiente backs up, charges, and does his job headscissors to floor on Euforia. Valiente doesn’t really get much of it, and hits the floor hard. Fuego and Misterioso on. Fuego shoulderblock, off the ropes, and tripped up by Virus from outside. Virus comes into hold Fuego, but Misterioso manages to dropkick his other partner this time. He's kicked both of his partners by accident. Misterioso loaded up, Fireman’s carry drop, Fuego tries a 450, no one home, Fuego rolls thru, Misterioso’s clothesline is blocked, Fuego pulls him in a Russian legsweep. Submission? Fuego takes a moment to get the double armbar set up, and that’s it.

There's a break, promo, break, back for a promo for the cage match.

Match 2: Fabián el Gitano vs Ángel de OroDr. XHisteriaDiamantePuma KingÁngel Azteca Jr.Tiger KidSenseiMonstherÁngel de PlataHooligan in a cage match and for the mask
Arena Mexico, 07/18/2010

Loser: Fabian el Gitano
Match Time: 22:27
Rating: shockingly good. Maybe ***1/2 (though that means I really screwed up Park/Parka up)
Notes: Técnicos enter to the Angels music. HMMMM. Fabián seems to be in a good mood. No idea who's music they're using for the rudos, maybe the cats? Announcers says they'll be in the cage for three minutes.

And brawl. Everyone pairs off. It's tough to tell, but I think it's all técnicos versus rudos. Everyone has enough room to brawl in their own spot, but they’re moving around more than that. They actually have the clock on the screen, which is a use of technology pioneered probably in the early 90s. Maybe they can get an on screen timer by 2020. Neither the rudos nor técnicos are particularly in control at first, but it does seem to be heading the rudos way the more it goes on. Crowd entertains themselves by singing Ole Ole Rudos. Monsther works in a top rope splash, so either Hombre Bala is crazy or it's a new Monsther and I like him. Lots and lots of random brawling. There's the whistle! By my count, that's 3:26. Guess they started the clock a little late. Break before anyone gets going.

Hey, good to have this Máximo promo here which has does nothing but reminds us what network we're on.

Sensei goes face first into the buckle, that's never fun. Hooligan starts to climb out, keep climbing, let's the fans know that he's climbing out, and then continues climbing out. Luchadors only catch on after he's over the top.

Dr. Z climbs up to join him, but Fabian scoops him on his shoulders and drops him down to the mat. Fighting is a bit more frantic, as Hooligan walks away, celebrating his biggest pay day of the year for about 4 minutes of work. Puma and Dr. X both get caught trying to climb out. Tiger Kid is caught climbing. Monsther sets Angel de Oro on the top rope, as Angel de Plata waits for him to turn around. Monsther takes his time hitting Oro, but then charges, Monsther tosses him up, Oro gives him another boost, and Plata climbs the rest of the way out. Brother helped out brother. Down to 10.

Oro tries plancha-ing Monsther, but gets caught and spun around into a big side slam. Puma King gets whipped towards the cage and tires to climb up, but both Dr. X and Fabian el Gitano pull hi back. Angels get squashed in the corner, Histeria whipping Monsther in for the big splash. Angels move on the second time, Histeria clotheslines them, but Monsther just keeps going and climbs over the top. Monsther tells Histeria he had to look out for himself as he leaves.

Puma King chokes Diamante while standing on the top rope. Meanwhile, Dr. X tries to leave, and Fabian gets him again. Tiger Kid has the hold off the top of the cage, but Sensei stops him and climbs up to the top rope to fight him. Lots of kicking while having one hand onto the cage. Sensei is going to win the kick battle most every time, and this is one of those times. Tiger Kid falls back in the ring, and Sensei pulls himself over the top. 8 to go.

Fabian tries to climb out right behind Fabian, but it's Dr. X stopping him. In another corner, I think that's Angel Azteca trying to leave, but he's held up. Meanwhile, Diamante tries for a top rope 450, Tiger Kid moves, Diamante lands on his feet, and Tiger Kid superkicks him. Puma King gives his brother a high ten, but they miss the double clothesline on Diamante. Diamante tries a springboard reverse tope, but the cats dropkick him in the back. Another high ten, and they both climb the same side of the cage together. They climb all the way up, Tiger gets a leg over, high fives his brother one more time – then slaps him in the chest and starts kicking him off the cage. Puma falls down, Tiger escapes. Announcers are surprised.

Puma King tries to make another escape while Tiger Kid is taking his time climbing down (and yelling at the crowd), but Fabian pulls Puma off the cage and powerbombs him. Fighting has slowed down a bit for the moment. Oro is pulled down from the cage by Fabián and Dr. X. Histeria and Diamante double suplex Angel Azteca. Dr. X rips Fabian's mask. Angel de Oro makes another attempt to lave, but Puma grabs him by the legs to pull him back. Puma calls for a timeout, and offers a partnership and handshake. Angel de Oro thinks about, accepts, and hugs. Those two are still discussing strategy while Azteca ducks a Histeria clothesline, dumps him, and speed sup the cage and out. Diamante is just too slow to get him, but actually drops down back into the cage rather than follow out. Halfway done.

Oro and Puma's team starts actually working. Double clothesline for Dr. X, shots for Diamante, Angel de Oro boosts Puma into a headscissors on Histeria, Puma boost Angle de Oro into a dropkick on Diamante, The two run around kicking everyone, exchange a point, and decide to start climbing the same corner. They get their hands on the top of the cage, high ten again – and Puma sidekicks Angel de Oro off the cage! That was really dumb of him. Fabian pulls Angel de Oro down as Puma escapes.

Dr. X and Fabian brawl. Dr. X and Histeria form a short term, ill-fated team while Angel de Oro yells at Puma King from the wrong side of the cage. Diamante ducks a double clothesline from the rudos and climbs right out.

Final four are Histeria, Dr. X, Fabian el Gitano and Angel de Oro. Rudos chop down the técnicos, but then argue with each other about who let Diamante get away and start fighting. Fabian lets Angel de Oro and they both start climbing. Climbing too slow, and are pulled back down. Rudos whip the técnicos into each other, and are too busy getting the rudos stirred up to fight. Técnicos recover to quebradora con giro as I'm distracted by the announcers running over facts over each guys – not sure if they acknowledged anything Histeria’s done besides invading. Dropkicks by the técnicos, and they high ten. Both climb, though Fabián takes the scenic route, and the rudos pull them both back down. Whip, spinebuster for Angel de Oro. Histeria holds Angel de Oro, and Dr. X manages to missile dropkick the right person. Fabian dropkicks Dr. X, but Histeria stops him from more with a leg kick. Double underhook suplex by Histeria on Fabian. Dr. X reaches for Fabian's mask, then sets him up in the middle of the ring for a Histeria top rope move. Histeria tells Dr. X to drag Fabian a bit farther away, then just climbs over the top of the cage. He's out, and Dr. X is ticked over the betrayal. Histeria blows a kiss to the crowd as he climbs down.

Both técnico work Dr. X over with kicks. Whip, double clothesline. Whip, Angel de Oro quebradora con giro. Angel de Oro whips Dr. X to Fabián so he can do his own spinning backbreaker, and rip up the masks. Técnicos stomp Dr. X. Uh oh, Fabian has a plan. Angel de Oro holds Dr. X so Fabian can slap him around a bit. Fabian off the ropes, dropkick knocks down Angel de Oro. Dr. X clotheslines Fabian, stomps, and looks around. Fabián back up, Dr. X miss a clothesline, Fabian shoulderblocks him and Angel de Oro connects on a superkick to Fabian. Did he mean to do that? No matter, Oro throws a punch towards Dr. X, Dr. X Ducks and pulls him a full nelson, full nelson bomb! Dr. X wastes no time and starts climbing. The crowd’s volume elevates with Dr. X, Fabian catches up and grabs Dr. X’s ankle, but Angel de Oro pulls Fabian away! Crowd and announcers can't are shocked, because Dr. X has escaped and Angel de Oro and Fabian el Gitano are the last two.

Dr. X and Fabian aren't waiting for a ref, they’re throwing chops now. Fabián gets on top and throws forearms – and break.

Lyger Fox Sports promo.

Back in time for official announcers for the singles match. Fabian clotheslines Angel de Oro and rips up his mask. Kick to the spine. Back to the mask. Bestia Negra warns Fabián, but he's not listening. Whip, kick to the midsection, swinging neckbreaker. Fabian can do one of those? One two no. Guess it's time to pull everyone out. Mendoza roll, one two NO. Angel de Oro calls for support. Oro bodyscissors cradle, one two NO. Fabián argues the speed of the count, Oro inside cradle, one two NO. Angel de Oro casita, on, Fabian rolls thru, and boots him in the head. They're wasting no time in between these near falls. Kicks to the back and some arrogance posing by Fabian. Corner whip, clothesline, and Fabian picks Angel de Oro up and sets him facing out to some he can rip up the mask some more. Fabian pulsl Angel de Oro off - crucifix powerbomb! One two NO. Wow, Fabián el Gitano is much as a rudo. Fabián fixes his mask, cuts his throat, and reaches to pick Oro up – small package, one two NO. Oro draws from the crowd. Fabián shoulderblock, quebrada misses, Fabián lands on his feet, Angel de Oro clothesline is caught – cruz nipona! Rolling cruz nipona! NO, Angel de Oro breaks free of certain doom, and sits on top of Fabian for a pin – one two NO. Fabian sits back up, a bit worried. Both guys are gasping now. Oro charges, right into a Fabian powerbomb – and he lifts Oro up for another! One two NO! Where has this Fabian el Gitano been? Both guys are really feel drained now, but Fabian’s the aggressor. Kick to the ribs, chop on the ropes, a word, a whip, Angel de Oro sits jumps to Fabian’s shoulders, Fabián dumps him – reverse Boston crab. Angel de Oro waving frantically, but refusing to surrender. Fabian holding on, so is Angel de Oro – and he manages to pick a leg and get free. Fabián taking a moment to tie his hair back up. Both men now getting up slow after every spot. Fabian shoulderblock off the ropes, Angel de Oro tries a monkey flip, Fabian lays on top for the pin, one two no. Fabian throws a fit, kicking the bottom rope and arguing the count. I think he almost got his foot stuck in the cage there. Fabian off the ropes, bodyscissors cradle – no, Angel de Oro blocks and turns it into a mercadora! Fabian wont' give – campana – will Fabian give up? YES. Crowd explodes. Fireworks also explode. Camera back away from the ring to avoid exploding.

Fabian poses on top of the cage, as Angel de Plata returns to post with his brother. Fabian already has his mask unlatched as they pick it up. Fabian is revealed as Emilio Fabian Hernandez de Leon, from DF (which gets cheers) – that's when he rips off his mask, and hands it over to Angel de Oro. Fabian gets hugs from both Angels. Fabian is not at all afraid to hide his face like others, climbing back to the top of the cage to make sure everyone sees him.
