AAA TV (FRI) 11/09/2012 Gimnasio Miguel Hidalgo de Puebla [Black Terry Jr. (flickr)The Gladiatores]
1) Lolita, Mascarita Dorada, Pimpinela Escarlata b Mini Psicosis, Polvo de Estrellas, Taya Valkyrie
Dorada pinned Psicosis.
2) Cuervo & Fabi Apache b Gran Apache & Mari Apache [AAA MIXED TAG]
Halloween was unable to wrestle due to injury, but did come to ringside to provide a distraction. Maestro de Maestros replaced him, and it was not a title match. Gran Apache used a title belt as a weapon to get the win.
3) Devil Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker b Escoria, Espíritu, Ozz
Machine Rocker german suplexed Espiritu for the win.
4) Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown b Máscara Año 2000 Jr., Silver King, Toscano
Psycho Circus got the win when Toscano and Silver King had issues. They seemed to be teasing a break up. Psycho Circus were attacked and destroyed post match by the Infierno Rockers, including the returning Uro Rocker.
5) el Hijo del Perro Aguayo & Texano Jr. b Cibernético & El Mesías
Perro & Cibernetico were left bloody. After the rudos won, Joaquin Roldan announced Mesias would defend his title versus Texano. Perro & Cibernetico challenged each other to a hair match. Unclear if that one was accepted, but all their seconds got involved.

Air Date: 11/17

I think what’s going on with Consejo is less a split up and more that Silver King’s involvement with the group will be short lived, but the the concept seems to have lost it’s direction.

Guerra de Titanes so far

  • Mesias (c) vs Texano [AAA HEAVY]
  • probably another Bizarros vs Perros match
  • Psycho Circus vs Infierno Rockers
  • probably something with the Apaches

Thursday in Naucalpan will sort out the rest.

Electroshock vs Mascara, AAA in Puebla, CMLL, Extreme Tiger, Guerra de Titanes

IWRG (THU) 11/08/2012 Arena Naucalpan [Black Terry Jr. (flickr), Estrellas del Ring, The Gladiatores]
1) Matrix Jr. b Johnny Rivera
single fall
2) Miss Gaviota & Niko b Araña de Plata & Jack
Miss Gaviota’s first match here since April.
3) Carta Brava Jr., Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro b Dinamic Black, Golden Magic, Relampago
straight falls
4) Factor, Rayan, Spartan b Cerebro Negro, Dr. Cerebro, Trauma II
straight falls
5) el Ángel, Electroshock, Trauma I DQ Cien Caras Jr., Hijo de Máscara Año 2000, Máscara Año 2000 Jr.
Tecnicos took 2/3, Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. fouling Electroshock after trying to avoid him most of the match. Angel is apparently still a tecnico.

Did I miss something on TV that explained why Angel changed his mind about hating the Traumas? Perhaps he just had a bad day?

The big show tonight is AAA’s taping in Puebla. It’s the first main show taping in nearly a month and should set up the main matches for Guerra de Titanes. The main event is Mesias & Cibernetico vs Texano & Perro Aguayo Jr., which should set up the two biggest matches for the December AAA show. In the undercard, Consejo face Psycho Circus again and Secta Bizarra meet the Infierno Rockers in two group vs group battles. Mary Apache & Halloween were scheduled to defend the mixed tag titles versus Halloween & Faby Apache & Cuervo until Halloween broke his ribs. Gran Apache will replace Halloween, and AAA still lists it as a title match. The show opens with a mini/women/exotico mixed match, where Taya Vaklyrie makes her in-ring debut on the main show.

Over in Arena Mexico, the Guerreros vs Guerreros feud seems to be done for now. Victorious Ultimo Guerrero will instead team with Terrible and Volador versus the current world trios champions Bufete del Amor in tonight’s main event. The semimain looks to continue the new Averno vs Titan feud, while the special includes another Rey Cometa/Puma King battle. The minis match, the second on the card, looks like it could be quite good but is more interesting to see who’s actually able to participate. Demus, Olimpico, and Pierrothito were mentioned as suffering minor injuries in Tuesday’s cage match, while Astral was strechered off after suffering a bad fall, and there’s been no info on any of their status.

The rumors of AAA departures returned last night, with Alan Stone, Decnnis and Extreme Tiger gone. Alan was probably just in for one night to drop the mixed tag titles (and even that much was a surprise) and there was no reason to expect him to stick around. Decnnis already announced he left, and the Extreme Tiger leaving AAA story might have been started by Decnnis. Tiger is not announced for any future AAA card, and this story has going around for a week without Tiger or AAA denying it. It sure does look like Extreme Tiger has left AAA, but we’re still stuck waiting for him to show up somewhere else to confirm it.

AAA put out it’s Guerra de Titanes poster, featuring Chessman, Perro Jr., Cibernetico, LA Park, Vampiro and Dr. Wagner. It’s just a poster, so it’s not the most definite thing – Abyss was on the TripleMania poster but only ended up doing a run-in – but no sign of Mr. Jeff Jarrett.

CMLL.com mentions the upcoming CMLL luchador trips to Japan: Amapola this weekend to defend her REINA title, and Stuka & Arkangel on Mr. Cacao’s FUKUMENMANIA (show on 11/25, but they’ll be gone from 11/22 to 11/28.) There’s also a note on FantasticaMania expanding to three days. NJPW announced announced tickets would go on sale 11/22 (with a pre-sale a couple days prior.) Friday and Saturday shows start at 6:30 local (3:30 Central) and Sunday at noon (9pm). If any of these turn up on iPPV, it’s possible I may do live coverage at an odd hour.

Rey Cometa is getting a title shot – at the Queretaro Welterightweight championship on 11/30. It’s the usual Arena Queretaro crew, but running the AAA venue of Auditorio General José María Arteaga, Queretaro.

DTU’s 11/20 show in SLP includes Eita defending the Alto Impacto, and a mask vs hair ladder match between Astro Latino & Alex Guajarado.

A promo hints at Joe Lider possible showing up in a Monterrey hardcore show on Saturday. He’s in Monterrey on Sunday, so good shot at at that.

Rob has his top 5 spots of the week.

Porra Fresa celebrates four years of existence and Centella de Oro in a play. El Sol de Puebla has info on Centella de Oro’s school.

Estrellita says Kung Fu gave her that name, and she wanted to be a surgeon before getting into wrestling.

11/09-12 lucha times

box.

== AAA ==

AAA-Televisa: The cage match, for sure The Psychos vs Chessman, Daga, Silver trios match and Elegido & Fabi vs Masetro de Maestros & Sexi remain from the last taping.

AAA-TVC: Title tournament match is an easy pick, and probably the Lider & Mesias vs Chessman & Daga.

== CMLL ==

Galavision/Televisa: back on regular time? Hasn’t changed yet! Ultimo Guerrero vs Rey Escorpion headlines.

FOX: Guessing Women and Tonga/Terrible/Tiger vs Atlantis/Sombra/Rush

52MX: Azul/Sombra/Shocker vs Rojo/Tonga/Volador to set up Azul vs Tonga next week.

C3: Mephisto/Tonga/Terrible vs Atlantis/Panther/Azul

GDL: Minis cage match! And maybe some other stuff.

EstrellaTV (Puebla): Atlantis, La Mascara, Mistico vs Averno, Felino, Mephisto main event.

El Luchador: “The mission will take the luchadors into a maximum security prision – except Shocker, who will have to rush Leslie to the emergency room. Meanwhile, the growing fame of Dragon Lee provokes jealousy from his partner, Bucanero tries to start a new life, and Felino will have the chance to fight along side his children for the first time.”

En Busca de un Idolo: No idea where we are, or if it’s still airing, but it’s listed as on Friday and Saturday nights.

Terra: Dorada vs Polvora! Tonga vs Azul! Me watching a Bears game (or more likely driving to a Bears game for most of this), you telling how great it’s going to look next week.

== Other ==

IWRG-TVC Deportes: Castle of Terror, maybe? Not actually on the schedule (and you can find the show on YouTube already.)

IWRG-AYM Sports: TITLE TOURNAMNET. I don’t think I can do this, and I think I’d be failing you, the 12 people reading this website, but I’d avoid spoilers for this show and find out the results on Monday night if I could.

ACM: Maybe the AAA vs locals match?

DTU Fifth Anniversary, Dragon Rojo in FantasticaMania, Llaves & Candados calling it a year

Tonight’s Arena Naucalpan is a rather calm show in between more newsworthy shows. Main event is Angel, Electroshock, and Trauma I versus Junior Dinimitas Mascara Ano 2000 Jr., Cien Caras Jr. and Hijo de Mascara Ano 2000. The Angel rudo turn on the Traumas has been ignored since it happened, but we should know more about it today. In the semimain, the Comando Elite team up with the Cerberos and Trauma II.

Besides the AAA Fusion and AAA TV lineup, all I’ve got left is news from Tercera Caida:

Halloween’s broken ribs will cause him to miss Friday’s AAA TV card in Puebla. Gran Apache will replace him, like Halloween replaced Gran Apache back at Heroes Inmoratles. It’s still listed as a mixed tag team title match.

DTU announced their fifth anniversary show will be five shows in five states
11/07: Arena Queretaro
11/08: Salon La Carreta, San Luis Potosi – though there’s a poster up for 11/20 on their Facebook.
11/09: Arena Roberto Paz, Guadalajara
11/11: Arena Aficion
11/15: Arena Lopez Matoes

DTU is ambitious.

Dragon Rojo and Rey Escorpion,  the guests for the show, said they’d soon have a surprise third and a name for their trio. Dragon Rojo mentioned in passing that he’d be defending his title (or titles) during FantasticaMania.

In other news, Llaves & Candados sent out a press release saying they’d see the fans again in 2013. That’s a very quiet way of canceling the Perros vs Garza show scheduled for 11/25 (as well as a December show they were hinting at.)

Yesterday was the 60th anniversary of El Santo vs Black Shadow, the most important match in the history of lucha libre. It set the mold for every mask match that came after, and it’s success caused EMLL promoters to build Arena Mexico to allow for larger gates.

Arena Coliseo Guadalajara announced a Eros & Leo vs Infierno & In Memoriam mask/hair vs mask/hair apuesta match for next Sunday. In Memoriam lost his mask a couple months ago, and Leo lost his hair just back in July.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

FILL trainees vs Gimnasio Fuerza Konkreto (Fuerza Guerrera)

There are other mispellings on the poster, so hopefully no one intends to spell their name “Flehyzeer”. This show probably will air because of the AAA TV taping.

CMLL (TUE) 11/13/2012 Arena Mexico
1) Metatrón & Oro Jr. vs Espanto Jr. & Herodes Jr.
2) Astral, Bam Bam, Pequeño Halcón vs Demus 3:16, Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Warrior
3) Fuego, Stuka Jr., Triton vs Hijo del Signo, Shigeo Okumura, Vangelis
4) Blue Panther, Máscara Dorada, Valiente vs Niebla Roja, Pólvora, Rey Escorpión
5) Ángel de Oro vs Negro Casas [lightning]
6) Atlantis & Diamante Azul vs Tama Tonga & Terrible [CMLL TAG]
Atlantis & Diamante Azul are champions

Negro Casas said he thought they should do the next Angel de Oro/Negro Casas match on a Friday. Poor Negro Casas.

Bam Bam is back! Again! Maybe!

indy (MON) 11/19/2012 Arena Queretaro
1) Brujo Maya, Rey Maya, Thor vs Crazzy Latino, Full Back, Onix
2) Neurosis & Star Tron vs Brillante Azul & Silver Drago
3) Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro vs Fuego Latino & Pequeno Otomi
probably not a 3 on 2, but specific Oficials not specified
4) Cerebro Negro & Dr. Cerebro vs Trauma I & Trauma I
5) Canek & Canek Jr. vs Dr. Wagner Jr. & Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.

A Canek vs Wagner rematch. If Wagner’s falling out with AAA means Canek is in the ring more often, then AAA really needs to make good with Wagner for the sake of humanity.
