CMLL (MON) 01/14/2013Arena Puebla [Porra Fresa]
1) Ares & Centauro de Fuego b Dinámikoo & Milenium Rudos took 2/3.
2) Bobby Zavala, Disturbio, Espiritu Maligno b Asturiano, Magnus, Oro Jr. Oro Jr.’s debut here (only Herodes from Gen12 has not appeared.) Rudos took 1/3, Disturbio beating captain Magnus.
3) La Comandante, Princesa Sugheit, Zeuxis b Dark Angel, Estrellita, Luna Mágica Comandante replaced Blanca (flu). Bad second and third fall. Rudas took 2/3, Sugehit surprised Estrellita and beat her. This sets up a title match next week.
4) Sagrado b Tiger [lightning] Sagrado won with a rosa.
5) Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Máscara Dorada b Black Warrior, Namajague, Shigeo Okumura tecnicos took 1/3, Dorada beating Namajague and Delta on Okumura.
6) Blue Panther, Shocker, Super Porky b Kráneo, Mr. Águila, Psicosis Tecnicos took 1/3 in a comedy match, mostly focusing on Shocker and Psicosis. They agreed to a trios title match next week. Shocker said he wanted to win it for all the Guapo people of Puebla, but Psicosis accused Shocker of having bad things to say about Puebla behind closed doors and he (Psicosis) would defend the honor of his hometown.
CMLL Gaceta has a post basically confirming both national title matches (womens & trios) for next week. Also, Zeuxis looks cool in one of the pictures completely ignoring whatever Estrellita had to say.
CMLL (TUE) 01/15/2013Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Informador]
1) Évola & Infierno DQ El Divino & Virgo Rudos took 2/3. Cause of DQ is uncertain.
2) Bárbaro Cavernario, Herodes Jr., Hooligan b Halcón de Plata, Höruz, Sensei Rudos took 1/3.
3) Esfinge, Hombre Bala Jr., Super Halcón Jr. b Cancerbero, Hijo del Signo, Raziel Tecnicos took 2/3.
4) Kráneo, Morphosis, Olímpico b Guerrero Maya Jr., Stuka Jr., Super Porky Rudos took 2/3. Informador says Angel de Oro wrestled, while CMLL twitter recap says Guerrero Maya. Whoever it was took Kraneo’s finish for the loss and was strechered out.
5) Diamante Azul, Shocker, Valiente b Dragón Rojo Jr., Mr. Águila, Psicosis Shocker replaced Atlantis, pulled from this show to go to Japan. (Rojo, also headed to Japan, worked this show anyway.) Tecnicos took 1/3.
CMLL (TUE) 01/15/2013Arena Mexico
1) Guerrero Negro Jr. & Zayco b Bengala & Metatrón
2) Leono, Metálico, Molotov b Apocalipsis, Inquisidor, Taurus Leono’s first match since losing his hair. Tecnicos took 2/3, Metalico surprising Inquisidor with an armbar.
3) Último Dragoncito b Pequeño Olímpico [lightning] Pequeno Violencia replaced Pequeno Olimpico. Dragoncito won in a quick 4:11.
4) Amapola, La Comandante, Tiffany b Dalis la Caribeña, Goya Kong, Silueta Rudas took 2/3.
5) Delta, Hijo del Fantasma, Tritón DQ Ephesto, Euforia, Misterioso Jr. Euforia sidestepped the Phantom Attack, then fouled and unmasked him.
6) La Máscara, La Sombra, Rush b Rey Escorpión, Terrible, Volador Jr. Rush brought his light heavyweight title to the ring. Rush challenged Terrible to a heavyweight title match after the win. Terrible pointed out Rush is light heavyweight champion and said he wouldn’t defend the title against a light heavyweight. Rush immediately vacated the title, declaring he had no rivals for the title anyway, and demanded a title shot against Terrible next week. Terrible had no choice but to accept.
Rush explains his decision in a CMLL.com promo. Note Rush is already crazily ranting before the recording has started. Normally, the guy gives up his old (lesser) title after winning the new one, but Rush knows how pointless these titles are. (Rey Bucanero is the NWA LH champ, they’ve never bothered to strip the title despite his long term absence, and he only seemed to get it because they need it for El Luchador plot developments.) Rush is going for the championship of Rush and Terrible, the only battle he really cares about.
A random Tuesday in January with seven days of build (and Rush working two other singles matches in the same week) is a strange way to be doing this.

Rush has to be winning. He’s Rush!
90% of the fans (and probably no less than 3 announcers) will understand why the cibernetico ends with two people still left when it does. This bit got booed loudly when they did it with the heavyweight title. I guess they just wanted to make it a two week tournament and not three?
Either La Mascara or Voldaor Jr. will be the national light heavyweight champion by the time this cibernetico rolls around. Maybe they’re setting up another Atlantis/Euforia match!
Dark Angel and Marcela will have a good match if they never tag their other partner.
Good tecnico duo in the opener.

Our friend Black Terry Jr. is looking to raise some funds by selling videos of some of the matches he’s filmed the last few years. You get can the info here. Prices are reasonable.
The great Mistico injury misadventure of 2013 has come to an unsurprising conclusion: he’s off the FantasicaMania shows due to left shoulder dislocation. Atlantis is headed to Tokyo to take his place. NJPW/CMLL have just dropped Atlantis into Mistico’s matches, including the singles match with Euforia on Saturday. That seems like something that might get changed later on. Mistico will still travel to Japan for scheduled meet/greet. After the tour, Mistico will return to Mexico to not wrestle until a sponsor has a show. (He’ll also probably go back to NJPW as makeup at some point.)
Atlantis may have been pulled from today’s Guadalajara show depending on if he’s flown out with the early guys or is leaving tomorrow. He’s not listed on any of the weekend shows, so CMLL prepared for Mistico not going even despite him working that show on Saturday. CMLL prepares lineups weeks ahead of time and there’s no obvious place Atlantis was pulled from. (He could’ve just had the weekend off.)
Today’s Arena Mexico show features a bunch of guys going on that tour, and not a lot of ongoing issues. Ultimo Dragoncito and Pequeno Olimpico meet up in the lightning match; it’s been 8 months since Pequeno Olimpico last defended the CMLL Mini Estrellas championship (against Ultimo Dragoncito!)
On Twitter, Mesias said he’d return to TNA at some point but AAA is his home. AAA TNA will be doing taped themed shows for most of their PPVs this year, and one of the ideas is an international tournament. There’s no guarantee AAA guys will ever show up there, but if they did, that makes as much sense as anyone.
Matt Cross explains who he is and hypes up his match with Daga. There is a weird vibe here. Daga is being portrayed as a young man who man someday make the big time. Daga is the actual world cruiserweight champion of the (arguable) biggest company in the country with international plans. Matt Cross calls himself here ‘the best unsigned talent’ – Daga is signed, Daga is legit, the dynamic here should be Matt Cross wants what Daga has, not Daga is honored to face this international guy. Stop acting minor league, start treating Daga like Canek.
CMLL (SUN) 01/20/2013Arena Coliseo
1) Camaleón & Robin vs Camorra & Espanto Jr.
2) Magnus, Molotov, Super Halcón Jr. vs Bobby Zavala, Disturbio, Nosferatu
3) Hijo del Fantasma, Sagrado, Tritón vs Cancerbero, Raziel, Sangre Azteca
4) Hombre Bala Jr. vs Hijo del Signo [lightning]
5) Blue Panther, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Averno, Ephesto, Puma
6) Shocker, Super Porky, Valiente vs Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas, Pólvora
CMLL just as capable of putting on meaningless cards with half it’s stars in Japan. Terra is already promoting the card. Valiente vs Polvora in the main event?
CMLL (SUN) 01/20/2013Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) El Divino & Idolo vs Demonio Maya & Demonio Rojo
2) Leo vs Azteca de Oro, Thunder Boy, Índigo, Relampago Azul, Black Metal, El Tapatío, Acertijo [OCCIDENTE WELTER, semifinal] championship is vacant. First part of the tournament.
3) Halcón de Plata & Smaker vs Bárbaro Cavernario & Exterminador
4) Rey Cometa & Stuka Jr. vs Namajague & Vangelis
5) Diamante Azul vs Último Guerrero
That’s Metal Blanco’s old title. The last vacant tournament (after Mascara Dorada gave it up) was in 2009. Of the 10 guys in the match that time, only Acertijo & Thunder Boy repeat. There’s still 8 more guys, but there’s a lot of turnover.
I bet I could call every Azul/UG spot before it happens.
