Vignette: Laguneros train in the park, cut promos to the camera

Vignette: Meanwhile, the Triada del Terror laugh in the bowels of hell. Ephesto says he's not a traitor, because he stuck with his real friends.

Match 1: Averno (c), Mephisto, Ephesto vs Misterioso II (c), Dragon Rojo Jr., Sombra
Arena Mexico, 10/31/08

  1. Triad
  2. Laguneros
  3. Triad

Winner: Triad (2-1)
Match Time: 12:08
Approx Rating: good
Other Match Notes: Laguneros are attacking Ephesto as they pick this up. Triad is able to fight them off and turn the tide, before they even finish announcing the Laguneros as the tecnicos.

1: Brawling. Misterioso's held on the ropes and worked over, slowly. Those chops that take the longest to  deliver always seem to hurt the most. Sombra tries to get in while the Triad is celebrating, and fairs well only because Dragon Rojo tries to come in about the same time. Number soon work against him. Double rebound hiptoss on Sombra, even if they have to wait for Ephesto to knock him down and pick him up again. Misterioso tries to fight free of the rudos and takes down Ephesto, but doesn't last much longer than that. Misterioso is tripped up, and this time Ephesto takes the double hiptoss onto Misterioso. Hold on for a cover one two three. Dragon Rojo Jr. gets a knee to the midsection for coming in, and Averno powerbombs him for good measure. Pin doesn't count, but they do it anyway.

Rudos huddle up and talk about something in between falls. They go the corner and rip up their Perros gear, but the announcers pay it no mind, one of the tecnicos run into attack the rudos, and production goes to replays. You can hear Averno getting a microphone as the replays are shown, but whatever he's doing isn't urgent enough to actually show.

Vignette: Mistico.

2: Rudo beatdown continues. Why is Monito out here? Is he a Lagunero? Sombra's held on the outside of the apron and dropkicked to the floor. Dragon Rojo and Misterioso try to brawl with the rudos on the floor, and get beat. Crowd chants for the rudos. Ephesto goes for Misterioso's mask in the ring, while Dragon Rojo is giving a gutbuster on ramp. Why gutbuster Dragon Rojo? It would not seem to be a point of weakness. Mephisto and Averno bring Dragon Rojo back to the ring. Whip by Mephisto, reverses, and Dragon Rojo gives him a spinning slam. Averno stops that with a shot to the back, and Ephesto clotheslines him down. Sombra in, and corner. Triple boot for him, triple dive fake for the rudos. Misterioso back in and chopping all the rudos. This lasts until someone just kicks him. Misterioso escapes the double hiptoss, and Averno and Mephisto ends up knocking down Ephesto. Dragon Rojo comes in with a missile dropkick that only hits Averno, but Mephisto takes the bump anyway. Ohhhhh. Sombra gets Ephesto with a springboard spinning headscissors, and Mephisto boots him into a dropkick on the other two. Dragon Rojo follows them out with a top rope plancha, and Sombra adds his own top rope moonsault onto the rudos. Ephesto and Misterioso left, Misterioso not at all happy about this. Ephesto misses a clothesline, and Misterioso spinebusters him on the net pass. Misterioso grabs him, Ephesto reverses it into a headscissors cradle, Misterioso re-reveres it, one two three. The other rudos are counted out, in the usual situation where they go to crowd shots instead of actually showing it.

3: Laguneros post Ephesto while his teammates wait on the apron. Averno & Mephisto are ready to fight once they take it back to the ring (though all the Laguneros assume the other guy is staying in, and leave.) Lots of crowd shots. Finally, Mephisto and Misterioso. Misterioso gets Mephisto with a springboard armdrags, rebound armdrags, and out he goes. Averno in. Clothesline misses, Armdrag, rebound armdrag, and he's out. Ephesto in, but begging off. Ephesto gets in a sunset flip, but Misterioso escapes to kick him. Dive fake, and tag. Misterioso  is more interesting as a rudo. Dragon Rojo is really more interesting as a rudo, and he's next. Mephisto to face him. shoving leads to Mephisto and Ephesto stomping Dragon Rojo down and kicking him out of the ring. Averno batters him outside the ring just to make sure. Dragon Rojo back out, under a double clothesline, and tossed up into a dropkick. Mephisto tripped up on the ropes, outside in dropkick is actually fine, and the apron dive headscissors to the floor is good. Dragon Rojo is so fired up, e, he can even pose on the ropes right. That actually might not be about being fired up. Sombra springboards into a front flip to come in. Circle, which allows Ephesto to jump Sombra from behind. Averno celebrates being Averno. Cut to Sombra headscissors Mephisto, rolling to the ropes, and flipping over them into a headscissors on the floor. Rudos gather around Mephisto, and Dragon Rojo runs for a tope - which gets Sombra, oops. Sombra got crushed by that one. Misterioso and Ephesto in again, Ephesto nervous again but I think this might turn out better. Ephesto misses a clothesline, Misterioso gives him a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Misterioso grabs Ephesto for the Gori, but Averno and Mephisto break that up. Whip, triple pump powerbomb. One two three. Rudos take Misterioso's mask for good measure.

Promo: Villano III

Match 2: Villano III (c), Villano IV, Villano V vs Black Warrior, Blue Panther, Ultimo Guerrero
Arena Mexico, 10/31/08

  1. Laguneros
  2. Laguneros

Winner: Laguneros (2-0)
Match Time: 13:57
Approx Rating: eh
Other Match Notes: Rudos jump the tecnicos in the aisle.

1: Warrior gets beat, while still in suit pants, as the others recover on the ramp. Apron seated dropkicks spot looked better in the last match. UG takes a lame spike DDT and a top rope tope con giro that doesn't look close. Panther and V3 seems to be the focus, and Panther lunges on him and brawls when he gets in, and doesn't let the shirt being ripped off his back stop him. (The Shirt get used as choking weapon, which does stop him.) Slam, V3 top rope senton. UG slips in just to get chopped down, and V3 very slowly puts Panther in figure four pin for the fall. Rudos keep stopping Panther after the fall and are warned again it. V3 doesn't want to let go of his hold, does, and they overturn the fall anyway. How dumb. Seen far more excessively violence than that. The over turned finish gets NO reaction. Villanos continue beating the tecnicos.

They really like waiting until the next fall starts to the take the break, don't they?

2: Villanos beatdown continues. UG get spotted on the apron and takes a big bump.  Panther get battering rammed into the post. stomp stomp stomp. Brawl brawl brawl. Villanos get into arguments with individual fans, because they can get threw the whole crowd without taking too much time. About five minutes in, Panther duck a double clothesline headed for the corner, tackles V3, and brawls to start the comeback. Crowd has no much of a reaction, though murmuring of boos kick in. Brawling, to the announce desk for UG and V4. This is so not over. Laguneros get their own team up beatdown spots on the Villanos. Warrior slips on UG when trying to do the boost sit. Warrior shoves Panther into fighting V3 much to Panther's annoyance. But they do set up a one on one, which the crowd actually gets behind it. V3 chops Panther around, but Panther ducks one and gets in his own chops. V3 sells them big. *Panther gets a run of offense on V3, to moderate boos. V4 attacks him, and whips him into a tope on V3. V4 and UG have a punch battle, which just spontaneously ends so UG can hang V4 on the ropes for a Warrior guillotine legdrop. V5 clotheslines Warrior. UG clothesline V5, and goes for his mask. Referees pull him up. UG boots V5 into the corner and gets in the headstand sit. Another? UG asks the crowd. He tries it again, V5 catches his legs, and throws him face first into V5's upraised feet. Warrior gets V4 with a plancha, but V5 clotheslines him. V45 accidentally punches his brother, Warrior accidentally clotheslines UG, sending them both out. V5 and V5 stereo tope is not nearly as bad as you'd think it might be. Panther and V3 in. Panther runs right into a backdrop. V3 casually picks him up, Panther armbars him, and that's the match. That was quick at the end.

Much later, or earlier, or at some time when there's no person, we see Tony's drawing.

Stellar Moments
Combo: Tapatia by Caligula, neckbreaker by Messala on Sombra de Plata, who seem to be identified as Sensei here.
Lance: Metalik's monkey flip of Stuka into a tope con giro
Doloroso: Stuka headscissors on Euforia, after a handspring off the apron
Sensation: the tecnico flurry of dives form that match
Castigo: Valiente giving Olimpico the layout chestbreaker.

Promo: Mistico comes out to the ring to say hi, he'll be back next week. It doesn't matter who's he's facing, Mistico will return to take on all the rudos. Random Band Appears. Wait, is this Quina Estacion? I should probably be able to recognize them at this point. Anyway, they're there to hug Mistico and I hope that's not meant to be Mistico's surprise. They could identify these people with a graphic, but that's not happening.

Match 2: Mr. Niebla, Rey Bucanero, Atlantis (c) vs Hector Garza (c), Dos Caras JrMarco Corelone
Arena Mexico, 10/31/08

  1. tecnicos
  2. rudos
  3. rudos

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:31
Approx Rating: eh
Other Match Notes: Someone during a clip, the tecnicos came out to party with the band. Marco Corelone and Mistico show them out, and the rudos come in thru the crowd to jump the others. Corelone eventually fights this out and tries a Superman dive as the rudos pose, but they scatter and Corelone comes up empty.

1: Garza immediately turns the tables anyway, so it doesn't matter much. Garza gets the moonsault bodyblock on Rey, Dos gets the "I'm going to German suplex you - no I'm not" armbreaker on Atlantis, and that's the fall.

Proxima Semana: they put all the names on the screen, in super tiny print! What goofballs. Hector, UG, Dos, Panther, Dorada, V3, Sombra, Aguila, Terrible, Dragon Rojo Jr., Averno, V5, Mephisto - why do they keep playing a mix that includes a sound bite from Seek and Destroy? That's just weird.

2: Mostly Corelone comedy. He gets knocked out, Dos and Hector roll for about fifteen seconds, and then suddenly get pinned.

3: Beatdown. Highlight is Corelone running around the ring to avoid the rudos, who are very confused to see someone actually try that. CLIP right into the post comeback one one ones, so I'm glad I wasn't paying attention. Hector has lifted Alex's stop sign to do the pull of his shirt spot. Crowd noise sounds very fake here. Highlight of Garza exchange is Atlantis begging off, then running up the ramp to flap his arm like a bird. I have no idea why that happened but it was great. Dos kills everyone, then suddenly does a thru the corner tope on Atlantis. It was odd, because he was already on to posing and then seemed like remembered he was supposed to do more. Rey avoids Garza' moonsault, dropkicks him, and gets in his slingshot tope con giro. This leaves Corelone and Niebla. Niebla gets beat, but sidesteps the springboard clothesline and fakes a foul. The refs were looking at the guys outside the ring, and give it to Niebla. Corelone takes a bump for the finish, which is great.

Arguing, replays, and that's it.
