CMLL FSE GdR - 02/10/08 (#76)
Recap: 02/14/08

Open: Announcers talk. Volador introduces his big backup for this match - Marco Corelone. Marco looks about twelve feet tall next to Volador. Damian and Aguila threaten Marco in their interview.

Outside the ring: Nitro

Match 1: Averno (c), Ephesto, Mephisto vs Felino, La Sombra (c), Máximo
Arena Coliseo, 01/13/07

  1. rudos
  2. tecnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: Rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:54
Approx Rating: This was probably supposed to make the Triad of Terror looked dominate, but it felt more like filler.
Other Match Notes: No entrances. Ephesto yells about Sombra in his promo. Sombra's mask looks like it's painted on in his promo. Kinda a surprise he's captain.

1: Maximo tries to screw with Averno, but Mephisto trips up Maximo from the outside and the whole Triad stomp him down on the floor. Tecnicos try to save and are soundly beaten. Sombra gets tossed around by the tag champs on the inside, while Ephesto catapults Felino into the ring post on the outside. Rudos get Monito - out here with Maximo again - but the referees prevent any shenanigans. Sombra's brought back and takes the rebound double hiptoss and a triple boot out. Triple kick for Maximo. Felino is slammed, and Ephesto takes the rebound hiptoss on top of him for the pin. Maximo comes back in, gets slapped around, and pulled into a triple submission pose.

2: Rudos still in complete control, beating up the tecnicos in and outside the ring. Averno slams Maximo on the new ramp. Rudos do get to beat up Monito this fall, kicking him a little bit till he gets to safety. Tecnicos try hiding him under the ring steps, but that doesn't work. Maximo gets set up on the apron and dropkicked off to the floor, which never looks much fun. Sombra takes the running sit. Maximo and Averno play tug of war over Monito for a bit on the floor. This match is meandering. Ephesto drags Sombra, I think, up an aisle and rants at a camera. It's far enough away from the lights that it's hard to tell. Averno reams Monito head first into the back of a ringside chair, Mephisto throws him in, and they both take turns stomping. THAT'S A DQ? I guess they were warned. Rudos can't believe it.

El Arte de Catch: Boston crab

3: Rudos STILL in total control, though not doing much to apply it. Lots of standing around and waiting for Felino to try something, instead of actually attacking him first. He hits all of them, they all hit him back. Felino escapes corner charges to start the comeback. Mephisto takes a monkey flip on the floor. Ephesto's held for Maximo's running butt bump. Ephesto goes out, and Sombra follows him with a double jump corkscrew plancha, much better than this match deserved. Rudos get bumped in to each other on bulldogs, tecnicos take forever to do the boost dropkick spot, rudos evade and kill the tecnicos with Devil's Wings. That's it.

El Diseno: Dr. X

Match 2: Damián 666, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo (c), Mr. Águila vs Dos Caras Jr. (c), Marco Corelone, Volador Jr.
Arena Coliseo, 01/13/07

  1. Rudos
  2. Tecnicos
  3. Rudos

Winner: Rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:49
Approx Rating: A typical Perros match.
Other Match Notes: Dubbed entrances.

1: Perros jump tecnicos, naturally. In case you didn't already have your fill of mild crowd brawling. Volador is wearing a t-shirt again. He gets choked with camera cord for a while. Damian puts Corelone in a testicular claw, leaving him unable to swivel. Lots of time spent on brawling. Dos takes a double elbow drop, which I mention just so you know he's in the match. Damian dropkick him in the backside - for the pin? Some world champion!

[Mr. Aguila] Q: Quien le quito la mascara y cual es su nombre?

Fan segment.

A: Ultimo Guerrero, and his name is Jose Guadalupe Saldana (though Julio Cesar Rivera pronounces it "Jesus", huh)

2: even more brawling! Five straight brawls. So bored. Totally not paying any attention at this point until the comeback. Damian puts Marco on the top rope and chops him while he's sitting there. I guess Corelone wasn't tall enough for Damian. Dos' mask is completely untied. Double clothesline gets Perro instead of Volador, and the other two go down to a double handspring elbow. Perro runs around the ring to be out of Volador's dive path, so Volador just turns around and topes him from the other side.  Tall guys finish the rest. Volador whips Perro with the camera cord, making more contact then Perro usually does.

El Arte de Catch: Gory Special.

Interview: Los Rebeldes promo for GdR. That was random - it was just part of it too.

3: Perros in no hurry to start, imagine that. Damian gets in an eye poke on Marco, Marco leapfrogs over him a lot, Damian is smart enough to duck the punch, but dumb enough to pose after. Aguila tries to help, which result in Damian getting punched twice (kinda) and Aguila getting punched once. Perro in, and Volador immediately in to fight him. So Perro takes off. How does Perro stay in such good shape? He doesn't seem that active. In the end, they both lave, and Dos and Aguila come in. Aguila makes a lot of fun of Dos before showing off his own biceps. Aguila takes taking off shirt and shoves Dos instead. Dos shoves him down. Dos off the ropes, Damian gets in a shot from the outside but end up taking an enziguri. Perro rushes the ring and pounds Dos down to the point where he's covering up. Aguila stands nearby and fools around. Perro tries biting Dos on the mask, but that's a no go. Aguila takes back over as Perro points at the crowd, sending Dos into the corner and chopping him there. Perro wanders over. Corner whip, Perro whipped in after, Dos moves and headscissors Aguila, but we never see it. Might be bad, don't know. Armdrag for Perro, and a backbreaker for good measure. Perro's down on his keens, making it very hard for him to run form Volador. Volador lets him up, ducks a clothesline, and gets in a superkick. Volador grabs Perro by the hair, but Damian breaks that up with a boot. Dos back in,, Damian grabs him by the arm and tries to walk the ropes, but quickly slips and crotches himself. Bad success rate on that. Damian falls to the outside, and Dos follows with a big tope. Damian looks out. Aguila kicks Corelone on the apron to keep him down, and flies out of the ring with a tope con giro on Dos, ending up past him on impact. All three father together, and Corelone hits Air Italia on the bunch. Perro's left alone in the ring with Volador. He's not happy on it, then realizes he can just pound him. Whip, Volador handsprings but stops just short of bumping Tiger Hispano, Perro takes care of that himself but dropkicking him by accident. Volador spins Perro with tilt-a-whirl backbreakers, but Perro slips in a low blow kick and Tiger Hispano recovers just in time to count the pinfall. Perro beats Volador via rudo-ness two straight shows.

No post match promo, the one week where it would've really worked. Odd.
